I am a 32 year old Active duty Captain in the US Army and I have never experienced the level of unprofessionalism that I experienced at this hotel. Amber the desk clerk that works the night shift was irate and belittled the group that I was visiting at the pool. She arrived at work and did not ask my group any questions and proceeded to yell at us about the pool hours. I will be placing a call with the corporate office because the police was called and her lies led to the guest that I was visiting to be removed from the property. I would not recommend this site to anyone!

This hotel was horrible. I’m honestly not even sure it was an actual Hilton. When did the brand go down the toilet like this? Everything at this location is sub par and the amenities are listed in a very dishonest or misleading way. I would definitely never stay at this location again or recommend it to anyone, friend or foe. This place sucks!! 8.6 stars my A**!!!!!! Never again!! If you’re considering this place please reconsider, go to the best western!!! I’m so sorry I didn’t!!!

I’ve been going to this hotel for over 20 years and have seen it steadily decline. My last visit in September 2023 will be my last time coming to this hotel. The exterior and lobby of the hotel look very nice but as soon as you round the corner to the elevator, you see that only one elevator is working and the other is in disrepair. When we arrived the room we were assigned, the odor of mold and mildew was strong. Checking the AC filters they were clean, so we turned the AC to 60F to dry out the room. During our visit, I developed a cough that I still have the following week. Checking other reviews, the complaint of mold and mildew in the rooms is not new. As a former roofing contractor in the state of Florida, I understand mold issues, but it appears limited action has been taken by the hotel owners to reduce issues at this hotel. The bathroom was not in good shape with rusted pipes under the toilet, a dirty air vent, and a towel holder that was falling off the wall. The bed linens were in bad shape with the duvet having fabric pills and stains from over use. The staff is very nice and accommodating but their hotel does not provide the level of quality I expect at a Hilton Garden Inn.

Polite and helpful staff, but the home2suite is much cleaner and newer. The room i was in just felt like it got stickier/muggy everyday. The toilets are my least like feature. "Low flow" aka clogged 3 times in my stay. This isn't a normal occurance when i use other toilets...

We have stayed at this hotel many times. Our recent stay has convinced us to go elsewhere. The pillows are way overdue for the trash (flat and completely unusable, dirty), the mattresses need replacing (so uncomfortable & I slept on springs all night), the elevator was disgusting. The carpets need cleaning or replacing. Our room 222, the smell was horrid. Most lights in the rooms did not work along with a couple of outlets by the bed. The ac was set on 60 degrees when we walked in and we immediately turned it back to 72. No extra blanket or pillows, tried to call the desk at 5:30pm nobody would answer the phone. The only reason for 2 stars is because staff was friendly but I cannot believe how bad it’s gotten since our last stay. I expect better from Hilton!

Everything was nice and pleasant. The rooms are nice but something just disturbed me about the breakfast options. Not even that it wasn’t free, that was to be expected but we ate breakfast out everyday to ensure a variety. $10 for a fruit salad buffet, and various hours they cooked, even dinner!! Just didn’t feel the menu. Otherwise it was great. I want to say 4.5 but the system wouldn’t allow that rating.

highly disappointed in my stay this week. we stayed in room 409 and just the first night we saw at least 3 white looking bugs crawling on the tv mantle. the bathroom door doesnt close and the shower doesnt drain. we specifically paid for a handicapped room for my disabled aunt and called ahead to make sure she'd be able to swim. the pool lift didnt work, and the pool is full of algae. holes in the floor underneath the carpet and the hotel staff barley spoke english and wouldn't provide us with more towels when we ran out. way below hilton standards.

Very disappointing stay. Checked in (great front desk clerk but did not get her name) and upon entering room, immediately noticed that refrigerator had not been cleaned out. Front desk clerk apologized properly and brought a key to a new room down the hall. Second room had a musty smell, but we were very tired and decided to stay. My wife found hairs in the shower and the internet would not connect. - Just went to bed. This morning I made coffee and went to put the lids on the cups to take to the car...and the lids did not fit the cups. Cold coffee by the time we pulled away. I mentioned these things to the morning desk staff. He wrote them down. But I did not receive any contact from the management and was charged fully for this wonderful experience. We travel to NAS Jax frequently - guess we'll stay at the Holiday Inn. We've had good accommodations there.

Good location near interstate and airport. Rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast available in morning was pretty good. Hotel was clean throughout. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Very nice hotel with pickup and drop off at the airport. Service from the front desk was a bit delayed at night. There was a very helpful service person that helped us get extra sheets outside of the front desk. We do recommend this hotel for in between travels in Jacksonville

This hotel is under renovation. The room we had was overall acceptable. The bathroom however needs better electrical covers (the kind that are for water safety) the toilet roll holder was missing. The bathroom door is way too big and literally blocks access to the tub and opens towards the toilet and is very problematic. A better safety latch that prevents anyone from entering is also needed. The current latch might meet minimum standards. The sleep area was fine. The bed was comfortable and appeared clean. *BASICALLY, THE BATHROOM design is the problem. A better layout is recommended. (WE WILL RETURN TO VISIT, Holiday Inn Express and suites are a good place to stay. Some are just more dated than others. BTW our breakfast was great. Service is satisfactory. Thank you)

Disappointed to say the very least. Arrived after a 13 hour car trip and was given a room that smelled absolutely vile. We were able to change rooms thankfully, and it smelled much better. Unfortunately the room we were given had no working outlets and had no tissues/toilet paper in the bathroom upon arrival. The dark haired older woman working at the bar was incredibly rude, condescending, and ignored me for a long period of time before finally taking my order. I’ve stayed at many Hilton hotels, and this is one of the worst despite the pristine photos and reviews. Save your money and stay at a better hotel. I will never be back.

This is a very nice hotel. Very clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly. We used them on our last cruise. They let us leave our car there while we were on our cruise. They have a good breakfast.

Man getting into the hotel is wild it's on a side road that's confusing to find the first time. Service was fine and housekeeping was ok, the vent in the bathroom has probably months of dust on it for some reason...it's in a highly visible location so I found it odd that it was missed. There was also change at the base of the bed so I assume they didn't vacuum. The bad part was that there was some kind of...happening? We left for the day and came back to the whole floor smelling like vinegar and cleaner very strong, even in our room. When we came in our room was WET like humid and damp and icky but the AC was on. Idk what happened but we just sucked it up. Kind of stuff you expect at a cheap hotel, not a Hilton.

Watch your billing!!! We were charged twice for our 1 night stay; the 1st charge was on the correct day but $20 too much. 2nd charge was 2 days after our check out for the correct amount and it stated they had my physical card which they did not. When I called, the guy said he couldn't find my confirmation #, or our names until I asked if he was the guy whose dog ate his remote. He said, oh yeah, I remember you, I found you. He told me he found one charge on 6/26 and the 20 was for incidentals. He couldn't find the 2nd charge and told me I must have switched my credit cards; I did not!! I had to dispute the charge with the credit card company. Bathroom door stuck, couldn't hardly open it. The room door wouldnt shut all the way unless you forced it. They had a commercial fan going in the hallway. Pillows were old and flat. We won't stay here again!

The hotel was great - but the dining experience was not so great. Including at breakfast a woman who appeared to be in charge publicly disciplining one of the Wait staff. Very unprofessional.

Hotel was great! Room felt humid, even though it was cool. I'd still stay again, as I know this is a problem with allot of hotels in Florida when it keeps raining.

The location is ok, the room (103) was nice. All the doors are swollen and slammed loudly, waking me up. As a federal contractor as well as a disabled veteran, I do not like the fact that they do not service the room during my 4 night stay. The food was pricey and didn't reflect the price. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

First room you could not even open the door up to the bathroom They put us in a room next door That door would not close all the way shut. I think this needs some maintenance. The breakfast was a joke. Charging 13.00 for powder eggs. Really. At the Best Western it was free. Nope not again

In the old days one could pull curtains shut and pin them closed if necessary. Now that we're in the age of blinds, and in certain properties such as this, ownership which is either too cheap or too stupid to have them cut in a way so that they actually block out the light, a good night sleep is not going to be had. Hello Hilton, there are people who stay with you who don't eat pork beef or chicken. Supplying them with a credit to use and then denying them. Any edible food doesn't leave a happy impression. Interesting to mix the old Neutrogena toiletries stands with the new product lineup. I wonder how long before a good liability suit proceeds from a slip and fall in the glass like slick bottomed tub resulting from the leaking spurting shampoo, conditioner soap bottles anchored to the walls.

This hotel is a bit dinghy for the price. The lobby smells like vanilla but the elevator smells like smoke even though its a smoke free hotel and the rest of the hotel has a funky smell. The elevator carpet is pretty gross. The outlets on the night stand dont work. The whole thing could use an update.

Staff was all very nice. Location was good, but i would not stay again. Rooms where not the cleanest. We actually had a dead frog in our's. Walls were ditry. Although they were in the process of cleaning carpets. Our had 2 nice size stains on it. There was outlet box thay had cords sticking out, and it was actually not connected to anything. I have pictures but unable to post them.

I gave it two stars because of the friendly staff. The hotel is going through renovations. Room 526 air conditioner does not work. Feels like it's pulling out air from outside and air conditioning it before sending it inside. It was cold and humid in the room. Enjoyed breakfast with staff.

We loved this place. IT had an indoor/outdoor pool ,great breakfast and friendly people. Our room was huge with a gigantic tub. We were totally satisfied!!! We will definitely be back!!!

I will say that the hotel is clean, and the staff is polite and respectful. The only complaint we had was that outside of our room was a street light of some sort that was "strobing" into the room. Ah yes you say, pull down the shade or close the curtains but unfortunately the sade didn't pull down and the curtains don't close. Staff stated that a work order was put in and they're still waiting for the repair. Besides that I would definitely go there again.

Hotel was clean enough, but in need of renovation all around. Poorly operating shower and sparse feeling room.

I booked this particular hotel as I passed through Florida because I wanted to relax with a drink and a meal. The bar and restaurant were closed. In the morning breakfast was canceled because workers called out. Very disappointed but the room was clean and comfortable.

I had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was kind and welcoming. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The only reason I say four and not five stars is because I believe the carpets in my room were cleaned and not given enough time to dry before I stayed there. I definitely will stay again!

  • 4/5 Mia J. 1 year ago on Google
The stay was good for one night. The carpet smell is horrendous. They need to shoot the carpet and then febreeze it. I loved the look of the room all of the amenities. The only downside of you stay for breakfast you pay for it separately. Why? It should be included with your stay. But no matter there are plenty of restaurants within the vicinity plus city bus stops right in front of hotel for $1.75. I slept pretty comfortable and previous reviews was why I chose the location. Very clean in the units.

The room was definitely not fancy. It was moderately clean.... they're not taking any extra efforts for sure. I'm guessing it's a staffing shortage because that's the answer to just about everything... and no I don't mean that sarcastically. I believe they probably don't have the time to do every little thing. However it doesn't change that there was rust corrosion on the toilet paper dispenser and dried on dark spots that could be removed as seen on my finger nail. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's the worse I've ever seen but it definitely has room for improvement. I let the front desk associate know so hopefully the room I was in got a little more attention. Even the bathroom door was so off alignment that it had a gap of space at top and dragged on the floor.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the airport, had a shuttle, continental breakfast and good reviews. Apparently, the reviews were either fake or many years ago. I suggest you steer clear of this place if musty smells, damp, moldy rooms, dirty carpets and paying $9.99 for your basic continental breakfast that others offer as complimentary bother you. This place was awful. The odor was absorbed into all our clothing and us. It was very disappointing and disgusting. There are better choices out there. I have warned you so unless you really like a gamble with low odds of winning, look at another hotel because this was just nasty.

I only stayed here for one night. I appreciate the location because it was close to my family and River City. The front desk clerks were OK. Not the friendliest. I did like their polo style uniform shirts. The elevator was smelly. It needs to be cleaned and the carpet removed. Just put in a flooring material that makes it easy to mop. You have a ton of traffic in this hotel for the location and price. The rooms are OK, but in 417 (4th floor to the right of elevators), some repairs are needed. The shower head is wobbly/unstable. The towel rack was broken. The bathtub stopper was broken and would not let the water go down the drain. We just removed it. Oh, the vent in the bathroom was really dusty. Also, have the rooms checked after cleaning. Mine was clean, but I heard a few guests complain about their rooms. I will also admit that we checked in around 4:45 pm. The front desk clerk said our room was not available. Since we needed to get dressed quickly for a memorial service, I asked if he could get us into another room. He was able to accommodate our request. He mentioned they had staffing issues with getting rooms cleaned on time for 4 pm check-in times.

$130 a night felt more like $50 a night. Super smelly. Dead roaches. Used honey and ketchup wraps behind floor lamp and chairs, long hair on the bathtub drain, broken toilet seat and broken bathtub stopper... and when I thought it couldn't get any worst, their phone line to front desk is busy all the time and so I had to make trips downstairs to the lo by every single time. They upgraded me, a bit cleaner but so dingy with bad/poor lighting. Dirty and dingy and bad service 👎👎👎👎👎 not worth the money! For some reason their system is not allowing me to post the disgusting photos I actually took of the room. I must admit that they have upgraded their lobby area and design which looks nice but this was no fooling when you actually pay for a room that is barely clean, bad lighting and full of dead bugs..

I am a diamond member and did not receive my cookie or member bag at check in. The suite was mediocre for a suite. Toliet had water stains in it and shower had no water pressure. There were no full body towels available only the floor size for us. Went to eat in restaurant, service was slow, had to move to bar to get service but food wasn't bad. I do not like they charge $8 for parking. Also reading other reviews I did not put it together, I also got sick after staying there a night! Started with a scratchy throat and turned into horrendous cough and stuffy nose, I am a microbiologist and this could definitely be because of mold in the vents. I have also tested a number of times negative for covid...

We like our room although the bathroom door wouldn't close. It didn't bother us that much. My husband Hate the bed. Pillows are flat and comfortable were sad. I suggest you change the bedding and pillows in every room, it doesn't play a big part of your guest reviews. The biggest issue we had was that we missed place our pod to our car (I know I know we should keep up with it and it no one but our fault. ) but asked the housekeeper (bright orange hair) if we need to go back and look, she didn't even look at us she keep working. She was rude and didn't even so some customers service. She gave us some rude instructions but I just went and left her alone. Front desk Linda was nice

For $100+ a night, I'm quite disappointed that they don't even include breakfast of any sort. Their continental breakfast is $10. Rooms have poor lighting & don't even include a notepad or pen. When I asked for a roll of toilet paper because my room only had 1.25 rolls, they recorded it to track it. Beds aren't comfortable. Their dinner menu is appetizers/salad, no steak even offered. Not worth what they charge. Their free wifi doesn't work on my phone; had to use my own data.

Booked this hotel about 1 hour before arriving. Got to hotel around 11AM, check in wasnt until 4PM, Cliff, at the front desk was beyond nice and managed to get us a room within 15 minutes! He continued to extend kindness and assistance with directions, food recommendations, and just over all great service! Will definitely stay here again. Rates were reasonable and hotel very clean and although I didn't use it, heard from other guests that their gym was really nice. They did not offer a complimentary breakfast, and that was about thing I can say wasn't perfect.

I didn't stay at this hotel, but the hotel I did stay at didn't have a restaurant or bar, so I stopped by the Hilton for dinner and a drink. The menu wasn't big, but sufficient. I enjoyed the flat bread pizza they even added mushrooms per my request. The bartender was friendly. The drink was good. Overall, it was a good place to stop for a quick bite.

Home2…excellent. Came in late and tired and everyone…outside and in…jumped in to help this old, tired, widow get situated. Lobby, common areas, hallways and room very nice, clean, and well appointed. Through Delta got an amazing rate. Will definitely stay again!

  • 5/5 C M. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms are a bit outdated and don't have the best lighting. That's the worst thing I can say and it really was just a minor inconvenience. Josh at the front desk is AMAZING. I was studying in the lobby and watched him tell people coming in to stay that the hotel was booked up. He then called around the area and surrounding areas to try to find them places to stay. Even when they got mad at him because the hotel was booked (not his fault) he was nice, kept smiling, and assisted them to the best of his abilities. Most of them that gave him a chance left with a smile on their face even though they didn't know where they would be laying their head that night. Josh needs a raise, a promotion, and a huge pat on the back!
