I do not recommend this Red Roof Inn. We felt unsafe and uncomfortable, and the staff was ineffective. The entire property felt like a crack house. There were garbage, cigarette butts, and broken bottles around the premise. As for inside the building, don’t believe the smoke free sign. People walked in and out of the building with lit tobacco products in their mouths.. The air was so thick with smoke/weed that we tasted it for days. We asked the staff if they could enforce their smoking policy. Sadly, no actions were taken except stating that their guests will be fined if they are caught smoking. As for our room, our beds smelled. Plus, the bathroom floor was so rotted, we could have fallen through the floor. My daughters, my puppies, and I will never return to this inn.

This place is sketchy. They even had their own security guard. That didn't make me feel safer. 3 locks on our room door; 2 deadbolts & 1 chain. Those didn't make me feel safer either. The building is old. Rooms have been updated, but I wouldn't say that helps. The rooms are ok in size, bathroom is tiny. Smelled of cigarettes/weed throughout. Thin walls. People were loud all night. Doors slamming, people partying. I do not recommend.

Absolutely horrible hotel, booked it online as a quick place to stop and sleep on a long drive up north. Rooms were gross, druggie hanging out on the front steps, random people knocking on your door in the middle of the night. Not worth it at all!!

Paid for king large suite and this place is probably one of the worst hotels and just a scam. Shower water wouldn't get all the way hot, had no remote and when asked for one was told they couldn't take one from empty room even though we were paying customers and paid for best room. The service here is by far worst I've seen and I've been in hospitality and customer service for over 10 years myself and there is no excuse for the experience we have got here.

The worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. Thought I was in a 3rd whole country. People standing in the stairwellls at night using drugs. The front desk girl was selling drugs to the guest all time of night. With the exception of one girl and one guy the front desk clerks were about as bad as they come. I think Porcha and Alex need to be fired and/or put in a mental institution. Half the staff I've seen using and selling drugs. Renting rooms to drugs dealers for extra cash on the side. Extorting guests for cash when they are a few minutes late paying. If I didn't witness these things I wouldn't believe it was possible. This place needs to be raided and/or shut down and condemned. Roaches all through the place, hardly nothing works, they didn't even give us towels for 2 days. I will be go to the police with this info and Red Roof corporate.

Nope. I prepaid being from out of state. When I arrived a bunch of people were hanging out in the parking lot in the middle of the night. Checked in, went back out to my vehicle and saw people peeking through my windows. I left. I don't even care if I get a refund or not. The guy at the desk was friendly. But that was the only good thing about the place. I didn't even go into my room to look at it, but judging by the outside, the room is probably trash, too.

This was the scariest place I have ever stayed. Our Uber driver told us it was where the homeless live. We literally would have left in search of a different hotel but it was 3:00 in the morning. I moved the desk in front of the door and still did not feel safe. The room was absolutely filthy. I would never recommend this place!

Stay here a few times but this last time. Really security at this place is horrible. Having security is one thing. But having them strip you of your rights is wrong. What room you in? It’s unnecessary and scary. Being park directly front of the building. Makes this place look ghetto.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE LOCATION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I booked a room through a third party app. I was supposed to pay at the hotel. They charged my card at 6 pm. I did not arrive at the hotel until 10 pm. When we arrived there were multiple people standing in front of the only entrance to the office smoking pot. My wife and I did not feel comfortable even getting out of our vehicle. I called the third party company and red roof customer service who both assured me I would get a refund. When I did not have a response this morning I called the location the manager said she couldn't honor what I was told the night before. Then I called the third party company and red roof corporate again. Red roof refused to refund my money. I will not be staying any of their locations in the future. Their customer service is horrible.

This hotel is horrible it’s looks cracked out, The first room the put us in the toilet flood it the second room the bathroom was nasty. The bed and the pillows was nasty and hadn’t been washed we also do not have a remote for the TV when I went to the front desk to tell the lady I wasn’t staying anymore. She got mad and said they might not refund me my money it was people in the parking lot walking back-and-forth. The hallways were nasty. The property look ran down. Please don’t waste your time by staying here. I had to find another hotel close to cruise port

Location did not look bad at all. The workers were very nice, but the rooms are another story. The hallway smells weird, the rooms are awful. The 1st room we were given a key to was not accessible. The attendant couldn't even get in it. The 2 room they gave us had a mildew like substance on the bathroom ceiling. The 3rd room they put us in wasn't that much better, but it was late and we were tired. I wanted to sleep in my vehicle, but my back wasn't having it. Let's just say, this place needs to be condemned.

If I could I would leave no stars!!! Don’t believe the pictures, they are old pics from when the place was new! I have never felt so unsafe just by pulling into the place. The staff is unprofessional and just plain out rude. Don’t go there!!!!! That is the nastiest place I have ever been!! I have been to older hotels, but they were clean. This place is run down and falling apart and just gross. Don’t go there!!

Pleasantly surprised by our stay. I read the reviews but thankfully we chose to stay because this was honestly the quietest hotel we have stayed at. As soon as we walked in the room, all I smelled was bleach which eased my mind on the cleanliness. After further inspection, definitely the cleanest room we've had! The hotel employees were beyond helpful and courteous. I'm honestly confused by all the negative reviews because we did not experience any of it. Clean room, friendly employees, quiet stay and the price is less than everywhere else! What more could you want or need? Only negative thing I have to say is tge fact that we had to leave!

Dirty,no elevator,no breakfast area, not a safe area for women alone, only savings grace was a nice cleaning lady who did her best to help us. Internet didn't work, no phone in room, no chair for desk. Would not stay again . 2 RRI disappointed me on this trip. The one in Clinton where I used to stay all the time is horrible now. A mess. Don't know what happened there. Looks like the owners are living there & not talking Care of the rooms & areas.

We stayed at the Red Roof Inn - Jacksonville Cruise Port - for one evening and found every aspect disgusting. Several people were congregated smoking cigarettes by the entrance, throwing butts on the ground and spitting, thus making our initial impression unfavorable. The hallways and the room itself were filthy, there were no blankets on the bed, no bath mat, the paint was peeling, the furnishings (curtains, lamp, dresser), were in disrepair, and the sheets were dirty. There was noise all night from the room above, and it seems as the motel is being used as a homeless shelter or for a related social service purpose. It is a disgrace that a national chain attaches its name to this motel. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and the corporate office of Red Roof Inn should be ashamed. Find another place to stay!

Horrible stay I traveled form Pittsburgh. Dirty floors, Dirty bathroom, Dirty bed I sleep on other sheets I had. This is my second review because this hotel should be closed down. (The receptionist was nice. Only good thing) I got harassed by the police for sitting in my car smoking because I’m BLACK. Hallway dirty, door didn’t work to my room it was just bad. DONT GO THERE

Carla is by far the most helpful, kind, and professional front desk attendant that I have had the pleasure of booking my stay with in any hotel I have been a guest at! She is an asset for the red roof inn by far! Thanks for your amazing hospitality Carla!

I decided to stay here at Red Roof Inn for its adorable prices coming out of town. I highly recommend you stay here, The booking, checking, and checkout process was super fast without any hassle. During my stay I was always made sure all my towels, sheets, and stock of other hotel products were fully stocked and new. The staff is very well trained at their job always providing the best customer service. I’ve had conversations with the highly qualified Manager in charge of this location Carla S. and I can’t begin to thank her for all the assistance she’s provided during my stay. She’s made the whole process go smooth and thanks to her this Hotel is always in great conditions. Carla is very kind, respectful and genuinely cares for one’s concerns if you ever needed help with anything during your stay. I say thanks to Carla S. there’s been lots of improvement and it continues to grow better each day. I was able to get quick help from her during my stay which needed a check out and guided be through the process fast and easy. You’ll very much enjoy your short or longer stay here at Red Roof Inn. It’s a 5 of 5 stars in my experience.

its DISGUSTING. the rooms smell bad and the beds are 100% not washed. bed smelled like pee. roaches everywhere. people just hang out outside and stare until you walk back inside. our room had one working light. people walk through the hallway screaming and yelling. it says non smoking but all you can smell in the hallway is weed and cigarettes. towels and rags were brown or black in some spots. just do not stay here.

The manager insisted that me and my two friends gives her 5 stars 🌟 but that's not happening. Hotel property looked like it was in the ghetto hood with guys walking around with their pants down. No refrigerator or microwave was in my room and the room was not worth $85.11!! This is a disgrace and I won't never come back to this location and neither will my two friends come back either!!

Run away !!! Most 🤢 disgusting place ever. Thankfully had disinfecting wipes with us. Cannot believe this place . Stayed in Virginia, was nice. DON'T STAY HERE !!!! Just don't. Someone tried to enter my room, people hanging around outside. Pretty much a delinquent place to hang out , RUN AWAY !! 😡

When i checked in, the 2 clerks on duty said that rhey had to verify my VIP pass. And that people had fake passes. I asked then to call supervisor. The clerks on duty said that supervisor had already left for the day. Problems with the room: It only had 1 working light/lamp. The bathroom light doesn't count. When I asked for a light bulb for the other lamp, was told that maintenance eas gone for the day. The wall unit had to be on fan in order to work. There was no microwave or mini fridge in the room. There is no overhead light since the smoke detector is wired into the once overhead light instead of the wall. There should be an alarm on the exit door that either the customers or the homeless people were/keep leaving/blocking open. Even though the hotel is smoke free, the hallway did smell like cigarette smoke. I did see security driving around which was good for the number of homeless people that were hanging around. As a Red Roof member, do not stay at this location.

After a long day a travel and anxious to settle for the night was very disappointed with the room. Smelt musty, bathroom was disgraceful. Paint peeling and hanging from the ceiling. Black mold in bathroom and around the window. Moldings loose, bedding disgusting, only a bed, computer chair and dresser in the room. Seal gone in window could hardly see out. Refused to stay because of allergies and disappointment that a room can be rented this way.

Start off, plenty of truck parking! But you do get what you pay for, I'll just tell you that. Not the best of area, but upper management has been in contact with me via emails of getting this hotel in check. Cleanliness and too much foot traffic with people not staying here is very uncomfortable for me here.

  • 1/5 Johnny H. 1 year ago on Google
The Manager was pleasant and up front about the neighborhood and activity happening outside and in the hallways. We checked the room and decided not safe and left. Strongly recommend some investment into the property if it remains open

  • 5/5 Mannell K. 1 year ago on Google
Let me start off by saying this location it is not the best in Jacksonville.. But what I can't say if you stay at this property it is truly like being at home or in your own neighborhood.. The staff is extremely friendly if something is wrong they will do what they can to make it better.... You have missed Porsche in the morning... And you have miss Alex who you can always find somewhere around there... And then you have miss Donna who runs the entire house.. Between those 3 you wi surely Have an Enjoyable stay. .. It is definitely not the 4 season but what it is it's a hotel with a staff that does what it can with what they have to work with to ensure the safety and pleasant stay of their guests... My drivers and I have been coming to this hotel for almost 4 years and I will continue To stay there

  • 1/5 Ebony M. 1 year ago on Google
Checked in and the toilet was disgusting like it’s never been wiped down .. pee stains , pubs all over. Couldn’t even use the bathroom and I certainly refused to clean it when I’ve paid for a room that’s supposed to be cleaned. When asked to change rooms was told it wasn’t any available. If you stay here MATTER OF FACT DON’T but if u don’t have any other choice make sure u have cleaning supplies, shower shoes & roach spray .

Put some tenants up for a few days while we performed work and they relayed the following info... on arrival the room was full of trash, dirty, live roaches and over all 1/10 satisfactory! We complained to the employee on duty and her solution was to let them clean the room themselves... terrible!!! Day 2 we cancelled and I personally tried to call the manager and the desk person would not let me talk to her, yelled at me & was overall the rudest person ever.... finally found a way around her and the manager was actually very professional gave us a discount and said she would look into the harassment from the desk person! Over all terrible experience

  • 1/5 Terressa T. 1 year ago on Google
This Inn is VERY run down, with Cockroaches in the bedrooms. Upon arriving, we were not granted immediate access, because the attendant was on a personal call and crying. Then upon entering, she checked us in and gave us the key with minimal interaction. As stated before, the room was very bug ridden, ( I killed no less than four roaches during our one night stay), and the door did not have working chain on the door. The room was dirty on the floor, and water was on the floor in the hallways. The only saving grace was that the room they gave us was on the first floor. I will not be back.

Soft bed, clean and hot shower. Good location, close to both of my jobs. Friendly and helpful staff. The manager Ms. Donna is wonderful. Walking distance to stores and restaurants. If your coming in from out of town its close to the airport. Pet friendly hotel so bring your fur baby. I
