Been staying there for years and this past weekend was as great as always. The staff are great and the GM Stanley and Asst GM Samantha and their team are always so nice and helpful. Room was clean and service was great. I noticed comments about the property being out dated, good news is they are starting face-lift in November. Marcus Trowell

This place is an embarrassment to the hilton brand. I booked three rooms. One of them, smelled like the cleaning agent. You can’t open the windows. The thermostats don’t work and our room was very cold. There is no bedding for the pullout couch and when I called, she said she was the only one here and she couldn’t leave the front desk. The shower is missing tiles, they use a curved shower rod and the tub isn’t curved. The shower didn’t get hot enough and when I inquired, I was told, there’s nothing I can do about it. And the guy that checked me in was less than friendly acting aggravated that I was there. Overall, this place is a dump.

We were here for my daughter's sweet sixteen trip. Traveling with two teenagers. The staff was AMAZING! The person at the front desk was so friendly and very sweet. Every request I had was taken care of. We had a two bedroom suite so when the teens stayed up til 3am, I was not bothered at all. It was very quiet. This hotel is literally less than 100 feet from the mall. We were able to walk to dinner at the Cheesecake factory, shopping, Starbucks, and Target. This is a perfect hotel if you are here for shopping. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great trip!

For a Hilton establishment, this stay was a disappointment. The hallway carpets were stained and dirty plus there was an insane amount of dog hair in the carpets in the hallway. The hallways also reeked of smoke despite all the non smoking signs. The carpet in the bedrooms was stained, the shower was completely disgusting with hair everywhere, and the shower was rusted and dirty too! We couldn’t wait to leave here. The only nice part about the stay was that the receptionist upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite because we were Diamond Members. We were very disappointed by this Hilton stay.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The location is great however both times I had an issue with bugs. The first time there were tiny bugs coming out of the sink and the only way to stop it was to fill the sink with water. This last visit there was a cockroach in the bathroom. We requested to move rooms but the hotel was full. They also did not come and remove the bug from our room (I trapped it under a mug). It's too bad because the location is great but two times with bugs is too many for me

I’ve stayed at MANY Hilton owned properties but this is by far the most out of date and dirtiest one too date. Tile in bathroom was full of hair and dirt(obvious it wasn’t cleaned). Room in general very dingy. Hotel doesn’t feel like a Hilton. More like a days inn vibe at Hilton prices. Very disappointed. Also the drain for sink has something that looks like swamp thing coming out of it which is pretty disgusting. Hilton if your reading this it’s time to sell this property.

The room was dirty. The floor was gross, needs to be vacuum. There was a cockroach running around on our floor. The bathroom floor had hair and dirty on it. I went to call the front desk and both phones in the room aren't able to call the front desk. The button wasn't working and the room in the middle of the night smelled like sewer. That was just the first room 219. The second room 313 when we walked in, the coffee table had dirt on it. The mirror had a film over it. The elevator, on the railing, had dried drink on it. Whomever cleans this hotel is horrible! I'm so sad about this because if this place was clean we would stay there every time we go to Jacksonville to visit our daughter and granddaughter. The other two hotels in this area don't have big rooms like yours. They are clean so I will stay there. I've never been so disappointed and grossed out at a Hilton property. I do want to say that the front desk staff and breakfast staff were wonderful.

Great location for shopping and travel soccer. Plenty of places to walk to for food and shopping. LOTS of options. Hotel is clean and pretty well run. The rooms are slighty dated but didn't bother me. The 2 room/2 bathroom suite was great for travel soccer trip. Staff was pretty friendly though there's always that one grumpy worker.

Not really sure what the deal is with the recent bad reviews. My family and I stayed this past weekend and it was fine. WIFI worked, nothing was broken in the room, no bad smells or no construction work. This was a really good stay for my family and I. We usually stay at the Hampton Inn when we visit Jacksonville. This location was cheaper and just as clean. Thankfully I didn't allow the reviews to sway me away from here. ...oh and the location is perfect.

Where we stay whenever we come to visit family because of their location and in-room kitchen. Unfortunately, each stay has been worse than the last so we will not be going back. $200+ a night for a raggedy, outdated room and not well kept property. In the last 3 years, there have been no updates and cleanliness around the entire hotel seems to have gotten worse, which we would have thought would have improved under the current state of the world. We stayed for two nights this time. Hotel elevator walls had the same smudges and on them the entire time. When we arrived there were no carts available. Staff said the guests keep them in their rooms. No extra pillows were available nor late check out. Staff knocked on our door before 10 am to ask us when we were checking out. Check out isn’t until 11. The last three issues did not matter as much as how dirty and dingy everything looked. Really wish we had a better experience as we had been loyal to this hotel for many years.

Great location walking distance to the outdoor shopping area and tons of close spots to eat. Cheese cake factory, ida Claire (the best) P.F. Chang’s and maggianos. Water pressure was low(on the 3rd floor) but room was very nice. Actual full fridge so I could freeze stuff. Stove and microwave too. The a/c needs to be cranked up to cool the bedroom (I think it registered the main rooms temp but the bedroom stays much warmer) so you have to keep the door open to the living room to keep the cool air coming in. Breakfast was ok. Wasn’t warm when I had it at 7 which was odd. Eggs were in a plastic bag lined tray so I’m guessing that wasn’t heated or the plastic would melt. Had bacon, potatoes and a waffle maker as well as oatmeal and stay of breads (not warmed- but toaster provided) would stay again.

Due to the fact that they have guests that actually live there on the property. They're not up to par with their maintenance when it comes to the rooms. Nor do they know how to differentiate with the guests who are passing through. If you're a diamond member, good luck with a room upgrade, they're not a accommodating. Closet door fell on me after putting the luggage in it Homewood Suits in Deerwood 8511 Touchton Road, Deerwood

The hotel desperately needs cleaning and maintenance. The room was sickeningly dirty and musty, it needs more than housekeeping it needs a deep clean. It is an unhealthy environment to be spending any length of time in. I'm attaching a picture of the very large air vent as a close up pic of the dust and grime that I was breathing. The shower faucet handle fell off the wall as I was turning it on and just shot water out at me. I was unable to put it back on or to get the shower to turn off. Had to just let the water run and report it on my way out. Not a pleasant experience and not what I would expect from the Hilton brand. The location and was great, and the front desk staff was friendly but I gave all only one star, because those things really don't matter if you are in a room that is not suitable for sleeping. I expect these very serious issues with the building are outside of the front desk staff's control.

Think twice because this hotel needs to be overhauled. Make sure you request housekeeping service upon arrival because your room will not be clean. Book and stay at your discretion but note this is not a good reflection of the Hilton brand at all. It has gone down substantially in the past few yrs. Very cruddy and economy level now. More like a 1-star Holiday Inn.

Great hotel. GREAT location. Everything has been beautifully remodeled. Jennifer McCarthy us outstanding. She helped me book a block of rooms for my track team. This level of service doesn’t exist these days. Great experience.

Location, Location, location...it's near shopping, dining and family fun. The breakfast area and hotel lobby are well furnished and decorated. However, the rooms are a different story. The bathroom was not clean. Wall is cracking, shower stall has orange/brown gunk. I'm simply disappointed. I will not stay at another Homewood Suites. The rooms need to be updated and deep cleaning needs to occur. COVID-19 has created an opportunity for some hotels to legitimate their lack of attentiveness to detail and sanitary conditions. It's simply a no for me. I waited for over an hour for an ironing board after multiple requests.

Super huge rooms! Located behind Maggianos at St John Towne Center. You can literally walk to the shops. Fantastic reception on Wednesdays with full dinner that's complimentary. Self serve beer and wine taps for a minimal fee. Rooms are clean and staff is very friendly.

Pros: they had a good breakfast, and the location is very convenient. Cons: The room was fine, but the shower was peeling on the floor, and the shower was a bit dirty on the edges. Housekeeping is by request ( not that big of a deal). The front desk people were not the best but not the worst. They said hi and helped us out when needed. Wouldn't stay here again until they do an update.

Lots of broken things in the room. Kind of dirty and barely straightened up. When we checked in they said the system was down and to hang the sign so no one accidentally walks in. The front desk guy ignored me when I said the TV needed to be changed in the breakfast room. No idea what was movie on but they were having s*x and there were a lot of children in there, including my own. However there were a few good things. Breakfast staff was very nice and they stayed on top of things. Beds were comfy. I loved having 2 rooms with 2 bathrooms. It was perfect for our family of 6. It’s also super close to tons of shipping and food.

Very nice and pleasant hotel and a great area close to a nice shopping center, close to restaurants and more. The rooms are great it's like having an apartment, has a small kitchenette with some pan and pots, utensils, plates... refrigerator, microwave s dishwasher..very comfortable mattress, good size shower. Also their breakfast area has a little of everything and their coffee it's pretty good. Also it has a swimming pool with a handicap lift and some outdoor grills. Also a small gym but with good equipment and plenty of weights. ATM available, computer room. Customer service was great, we really enjoyed our stay.

Nestled in a very convenient location for great shopping, dining and some family fun. Walking in, it has a touch of sophistication. We went to our two room suite and it had ample space for the four of us to relax and enjoy. I noticed this hotel needs a bit of touching up, an update. The bedside lamps only had regular plug in outlets and not the USB ports. We brought about two USB adapters and I’m glad we did. There is a USB port on the desk in the living room. The AC in our suite worked so well and kept us cool. The trash cans in each bathroom were a little small, the sliding mirror closet door were off it’s tracks. The windows need some cleaning and fixing. Some of the curtains rods were missing and the curtains ripped. The bedding is such a hassle to use, it’s always sliding off and just a headache to wake up during the night to keep it layered. We had to fix it countless times during our stay and during the night because it would always slide off the bed and get jumbled up. The pillows were the best though!! There were extra pillows and blankets in the closet which was so useful. The kitchen provided ample space and the fridge was the perfect size and kept cold. We didn’t use our kitchen range but we did use the microwave and it was clean. The kitchen sink was clean, stocked with utensils and dishes and it was organized. It was a pretty clean suite, just need to get rid of all of the carpeting. You will notice as you walk the hallways that it needs to be either touched up or updated, the ac vents need to get cleaned. Although there are trash cans by the elevators, it’s not the big and needs a bigger opening for trash. I think it would be nice if the kitchen had a big trash can so we can throw our trash in there but I see other patrons leave their garbage out by their doors. The elevator going up is a fun ride, it stops so fast and me and my girls a slight terror and some giggles. We look forward going back up to our room. The staffs were professional and sweet. Very friendly and helpful, I really would recommend this place. Also the breakfast was spectacular and kept tidy. I would come back especially because of how convenient and quiet this hotel is.

Hello, I'm writing a review in hopes that a lost stuffed animal might be located. We know are little one left it in the hotel. We feel awful leaving it behind and hopes that it shows up to the front desk. It really meant a lot to our daughter and our family. She never goes anywhere without it. In the event a guest or staff sees this I hope they make an effort to to get it back to us. Tallahassee, FL.

Room was worn and dingy and cleaning wasn’t very thorough. Wallpaper peeling in the bathroom, discolored couch from tons of wear, all furnishings very worn, and worst of all, found someone else’s leftover cheeseburger under the bed as I was doing a final sweep of the room to make sure we didn’t leave anything behind🤢. Throughout the property, we noticed overflowing trash cans and empty dispensers. Needs a major facelift and is either understaffed or in meed of better management.

We were hired by their GM (Stanley) to do a balloon installation to show appreciation to their hardworking staff for employee appreciation week. Such a thoughtful management for thinking to do this, everyone was so nice and high energy. I would definitely stay here and recommend family and friends to, too!

Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Staff was nice. Hallways are nasty, doors and walls are nasty. Homeless in and out for food and coffee, and using front porch as their living room. Guy on drugs, strips down to underwear and dives in. Overdose in one of the guest rooms. It's and older hotel at the very back of Town Center. Stay somewhere else.

I usually feel pretty comfortable knowing if I book a Hilton I'm safe. Not this time. The first room was just gross. The pull out couch was torn and the mattress was a actual springs with the cotton topper not even sewn together. No padding whatsoever. Back out couch and chairs were black from dirt. Closet door wouldn't even open. Moved to a different room that at least had a put together mattress but it smelled like someone fried every food in the book. No extra linens. Floor dingy and the remote looked like a dog chewed on it. I felt like I was in a motel where you just lay down on top of the bed and hope nothing crawls on you. They need a serious overhaul or just turn it into a motel 6.

We had a queen suite, I would only suggest changing the location of some furniture or removing the desk and adding a recliner or maybe two.

The accomodations were great for us...we had our 2 puppies and the size was perfect...the floor in the kitchen area was not perfect..needed to be replaces 1 floor panel lifted...the rug in the living are could have been cleaned better (I think anyway)...the bed cover was torn on the edges...I am being honest...needed a little TLC and perhaps updating...the location was superior...close to all the shopping within walking distance...the highway only a couple miles ...would I come back?!?...PROBABLY...had a great vaca...

I was very disappointed with our stay and the lack of care at the end to handle it. I typically don’t complete these types of surveys and don’t post reviews but this stay at this particular Homewood Suites it is necessary. The first room we were checked in had been “cleaned” however there was lots of hair and something else in the bathroom sink. The shampoo had fallen off the wall holder into the tub. The toilet wouldn’t flush. The table in the living room was dirty with dried food stuck to it. The kitchen floor was so sticky my sons shoe came off his foot when he walked across it. Pull backed the curtains in the bedroom and there were spiderwebs on the window as well as plenty of dirt and grime. And also noticed the extra security lock on the door had all three screws nearly pulled out from the wall. All this was discovered in the 10 minutes we were in the room, likely would have found more nastiness had we stuck around. After informing the front desk. They moved us to a smaller room. This room was moderately acceptable as the high touch surfaces had been reasonably cleaned. But it was still a subpar room from our standpoint we decided to stay as our kids were tired and we didn’t know the area well to find another hotel. The window sill was very dirty, tub/shower caulking was full of mildew. The closet track has a gag worthy amount of dirt build up, carpets were stained and room was poorly lit, maybe on purpose. The type of room you tell your kids to not touch anything. And then for the overall property. The pool was closed, some part was broken. Huge disappointment for our kids and something that would have been nice to have been told at the time we checked in. The laundry service had broken machines so it was not convenient to find an available working machine. And when I want to the little convenience store to get my kids some milk, all dozen+ bottles were expired. When I mentioned several of these items brought up during and at time of checkout it didn’t seem like the staff was concerned about the quality of our stay. Overall, a poor excuse for a hotel wearing the Hilton flag.

Front desk service was well and one of the front desk manager by the name of Dominique checked me in a couple of weeks ago and the front desk agent was very respectful and kind spoken. Breakfast: Johannah did an wonderful job with breakfast and my food was fresh and crispy. Housekeeping: I was welcomed by the Housekeeping manager Ms. Anastasia she was very respectful and very helpful when I had any questions she told me I could ask for her and she would answer my questions. When entering my room it was clean, the bed was nicely made and the room also had a very nice breeze.
