My girlfriend and I stayed here one night before driving back up to NY. I love Bed & Breakfasts and this was no exception. The interior was well kept and the rooms are gorgeous--filled with unique and practical antique furniture--not to mention the high ceilings. We had a comfy king sized bed with clean sheets, pillows, and blankets. The temperature was cool (and adjustable) to escape the September Florida heat. The bathroom was spacious as well, though the shower pressure was a little weak for my tastes, not enough to knock down a star. Maybe it's a Jacksonville thing? Our room had a mini fridge with items to purchase, though we brought our own. We also did not partake in the honor system at the bar, but it's there if you'd like to. There's also a common area filled with books to read. In the morning, we took part in the breakfast part of the deal. The coffee was french press. The avocado toast was great, as was the grits. The staff was super friendly and affable. If we're ever back that way, we'll be stopping by again.

My daughter and I took my grand daughter to the tea room for her 11th birthday. The house was beautiful and the area just amazing. The tea room was very pretty. The little sandwiches and deserts were lovely. However, I have this constructive criticism: The server was very sweet and did a great job, but I felt should be dressed a little nicer then a wrinkled jumper shorts. The tea box that was presented had nothing special. Half empty except the Lipton tea bags and some that looked like they were purchased at the local grocery store. I think there was 3 or 4 to choose from. We were the only ones there, I would have thought we could sit at a better table then the small one with three chairs that was in a corner facing a wall. Had I arrived first I would have requested a different table and I'm sure they would accommodate since no one else was there. The music was ok because we were there with an 11 yr old. Otherwise it should have been more than old pop songs. I expected just a touch more for the price.

This place is a true gem! We stayed here after needing to spend the day at St. Vincent. It was a cozy place to come to after a long day. Rooms are clean, spacious, and have everything you need including mini fridge and drinks. Breakfast was delicious and service was impeccable. We will certainly be back! Thank you!

We really enjoyed staying is this historic bed and breakfast! The rooms have all been upgraded and are super comfortable. Coffee (French Press) and the home made breakfast are amazing! Eric goes out of his way to make you feel at home. We brought our puppy with us and it was perfect for her too! We will stay here every chance we get.

I should start by saying the bed is the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. My Fiance and I barely wanted to explore because we were so obsessed with the comfort! The house was beautiful and the staff were amazing. No one bothered us but we were able to go around and mingle if we wanted. We also brought our 60lb German Shorthaired Pointer and had zero issues. He's a very well behaved dog, but it didn't seem like anyone was worried or bothered as I was expecting a list of rules to be screamed at us when we arrived. They treated him just like another guest. It felt very family oriented. The front desk was always excited to see us and hear about our adventures or plans. The location is absolutely PERFECT; we didn't have to drive anywhere. We walked around Riverside Park, Riverside/Five Points, and even took a 15 minute walk to Kanine Social which is a perfect dog bar for any playful doggo to hang out while you sip on some drinks. We absolutely love the location, hospitality and comfort Riverdale Inn provided and plan to make this trip an annual thing! I adored the main house, but I think next time we will try out the Guest House because it seems a little more secluded and I'm intrigued by what's inside! I would 10/10, 100% recommend Riverdale Inn to anyone.

Really REALLY enjoyed our stay. Sits on an easy walking distance to Riverside Park and 5 points. Breakfast is second to none. We liked it so much we decided to stay another day! If youā€™re staying in the Jacksonville area, THIS is the place you want to stay.

We stayed in the Park Suite on July 12th. It was a spacious room that was VERY comfortable. They have updated the room without spoiling the historic B & B feel. Breakfast was delicious. Freshly prepared to order omelets were flavorful and full of fillings. The staff was very helpful and ensured that every need was met.

I didn't stay here but I did have afternoon tea in their tea room. The customer service was great. I would definitely do it again. Pictured is a table for one. They do parties, too. One of their finger sandwiches had sliced cucumbers on it, and it was so yummy.šŸ˜

Not accessible for elderly people We are in good health for people in their 70s but our room was up 3 really steep flights of stairs.

We were recommended the RI by a good friend we were visiting that lived close by. Really a great place with a wonderful breakfast and an "Honor" bar. They also have the coolest collection of old records and a turn table.

Second stay and as wonderful as our first. The Windsor Room this time. Worth the splurge for the soaking tub after a long day. Nice view out the windows, comfy bed, fridge, coffee maker, TV all were great. Had breakfast delivered which was delicious! Thank you!

Iā€™m in the lodging business myself. I canā€™t help but look for things wrong or missing where ever I stay. This was my second stay at Riverdale and as picky as I am I couldnā€™t find anything out of place or that could have been done better! The room was perfect. The breakfast was fantastic! The service was Great! It was three years ago on my first visit and I was treated like family! This last holiday season we returned and weā€™re again treated like family! The personal touches are too numerous to list! If you want an experience and not just a rented room this is the place for you! The Riverdale Inn is a fantastic memory waiting to happen! Be smart and make it happen! Thank you everyone for making my holiday fantastic!

The included breakfast from a splendid menu, including our choice of avocado toast, was heavenly, and Chef Eric was very helpful and friendly early in the morning. Thank you. Room 10 was comfortable and very clean. No stairs! An easy walk to the park on the water and restaurants. The bathroom could use a heater -- even in Florida.

We enjoyed our stay at the Riverdale Inn. The owners are welcoming and accommodating and the location is walkable to restaurants, museum, riverfront, etc. Our stay included a nice selection for breakfast and the food /coffee was all quite good!

    ##### Strengths ##### + Clean accommodations. + Welcoming staff. + Beautiful 1895 architecture. + Sympathetic period furniture. + Spacious room and modern bathroom. + Efficient air-conditioning. + Comfortable bed. + Quality toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, and bar soap). + Easy rear parking. + Easy code-provided entry/exit to house. + Walkable neighbourhood with restaurants, parks, museum, and stores. + Only $20/night more than a standard boring local hotel chain nearby. + Delicious blueberry pancake breakfast. One of several options. ##### Opportunities ##### - Gain tea drinkers' appreciation during breakfast. Avoid basic Lipton and offer something nicer like Twinings Earl Grey. It is such a small detail with a big positive impact for tea drinkers who don't capitalise on the coffee bar.

They gave me the room I requested, allowed me to do laundry, had clean and spacious rooms/bathroom, seamless after hours check in, and the breakfast was GREAT. The owners are very friendly as well. I will definitely be back next time I pass through Jacksonville!

MOST. CHARMING. PLACE! I was impressed from the moment I checked into this property. This was my graduation weekend in May. I initially asked for an early check-in, because I knew I'd be too early, and I was. The host took such good care of me, as if I were family. My room was divine. The attention to detail was stellar. Super clean, with an old fashioned carriage-style ambiance. If you book a room here, you SCORE. Then there is the breakfast! This is not your continental breakfast at the Ho-Jo. You'll select your delish items from a carefully crafted menu. I felt so special staying here. Thank you sooo much.

My favorite neighbor Bed and Breakfast. The home is well maintained and welcoming. The staff are friendly and eager to help with any questions regarding the Riverdale and restaurants in the surrounding area. Walking distance to the Museum and many shops and restaurants . Donā€™t forget about tea time and breakfast in the morning. If you havenā€™t stayed at the Riverdale Innā€¦.What are you waiting for?

A true MUST STAY location. Fantastic owners, GREAT ROOMS, superb breakfast (it was a 10 and the French press coffee...TO DIE FOR) very close to the water, and a short walk to many good restaurants. Our room was just updated with A HUGE shower and fantastic tub. Bed was super comfy too. I'm a huge Bama fan, so it was pretty cool the owner looked like Josh Snead from SEC shorts. ā¤

I loved my 2 night stay at Riverdale Inn. Starting with ample parking with charging stations for electric cars. There is so much to look at in the interior. It's wonderfully and uniquely decorated. Every room has it's own bathroom and climate controlled units. The bed was comfortable. It had a refrigerator, desk, TV, chifforobe with plenty of drawers and seating. It is just a short walk to the river and other places of interest. The breakfasts and afternoon tea were delicious. This is my new B & B for anytime I will be visiting Jacksonville. Looking forward to staying there again.

Great place for staying. We stayed in room 2 which is one of the largest rooms. We looked around at the other rooms after the guests checked out and there was not a room I wouldn't stay in but I think I will stay in room 2 each time as we plan on coming back. B&B and they have a limited menu for breakfast but everything we have had has been very good. Eric has been a great host pretty much saying "whatever you need, let us know and we will see what we can do". Love it here.

Very attentive staff, everything at our fingertips (including self-serve full bar) made our stay relaxing and on our preferred schedule. French press coffee and amazing chefs make for a luxurious stay. Close to river walk, restaurants, Cummer Museum makes Riverdale Inn a perfect location for strolling through a quiet and relaxing stay.

cozy, homey, historic. This place is so unique and beautiful. It enhanced our stay in Jacksonville ten fold. The room was spacious with a large bed. The decor and furniture feels authentic and true to the age of the house. On the other end, the bathroom was modern and nicely updated. a good balance between historically appropriate and functional comfort. The complimentary breakfast is table service with a menu that caters to all tastes. They have an "honor bar" that allows guests to have access to wine, beer, spirits and mixers when they please. The back patio with market lights is a romantic place to share a glass at the end of the day. Walking distance to the art museum, a park, and trendy streets with restaurants and shopping. We loved staying here and the owners who are so kind and friendly made it even better.

Riverdale Inn was an amazing experience. This is our first bed and breakfast we stayed at. The day of arrival the owner called and gave us a complimentary upgrade. We came for a wedding that was taking place down the road from the B&B. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. Shower was clean and the water was nice and hot. Enjoyed the special history this Inn has. Breakfast was so awesome Chef Eric and Mary-Mychel the owners were very accommodating they spared no expense at offering teas, coffees a fully stocked bar with even mini bar in our room. Would highly recommend to all our friends. Thank you Riverdale for a wonderful stay, we will be back!
