This place is great!! Car rental (thrifty) didn't have a car even tho I had a reservation. Called the hotel mins before the shuttle was about to stop for the night, and the driver came and picked me up. James at the front desk was a pleasure to work with, and he got me checked in quickly after such a long day. Thanks Residence in for all your help and professionalism

So I called from the road. Young Brice Evans answered. He gave me the directions, Exit number a great from helped in every way was most accommodating knowing especially that I was retired military and have a severely disabled wife. Hotel itself is clean, easy access for wheel chair room good MISSING elevated toilet insert for handicap. He went out of his way to assist in every way. If the management were as good as the front desk they would make the toilets higher for severely immobile clients. It s obvious that management is to busy on other subjects and corporate gives them little latitude to makes guest more comfortable. They leave it to people at the front desk like Brice to lift up the image of the company....perhaps people like him should have more input into guest needs as corporate is wearing blinders. The best activity that management does is hire incredible young people like Brice who do all the heavy lifting. Thank you Brice your are the best part of Marriot Hotels.

Ebony, John, and the rest of the staff gave amazing service. The rooms were clean, and they had plenty of pet stations through the property. The residence inn is located in a great area next to river city. This hotel is located 10 away from the zoo. If we are ever in the JAX area, we will choose this location.

Booked a stay here weeks in advanced for a family event that was happening local. When you first walk in there is a damp and smelly feel in the lobby. This location does allow pets so beware if you suffer from allergies. When checking in, my original booking was changed with any notification. Our room was changed because of a broken A/C. I was not happy about that because the room I booked was for a specific reason but looked past it. The Rooms Dated and worm. Smelly and damp. Very dingy appearance and it comes with ROACHES! We spotted the small roaches that are like an infestation. If they get in your luggage and you take them home, you are doomed. I wish I would’ve gotten picture of the bathroom because it was not any better. They also advertise a full bed as a queen. We did receive a FULL refund for our booking. We left that night and went to another hotel.

Filthy Filthy Filthy!! Fooling guests by slapping the name Residence inn on your building is classless. I walked in my room, turned around and walked back to the front desk to check out. And they have the nerve to list themselves as a 3 star hotel. That's straight up catfishing. So that was my experience in and out.

We stayed at the hotel on our way back from hiding out from the hurricane and enjoyed the stay; as compared to some other Residence Inns. The room was very clean, as were the grounds even after the storm. Plenty of green space for our two dogs to walk around. Staff was very friendly and helpful upon checkin. Breakfast was fair; but you should never expect a Bob Evans or Cracker Barrel breakfast at a hotel. The only downside to the stay and pretty much every hotel we have stayed at is the A/C never gets cool enough and there is never an extra fan to really circulate the air.

I just stayed at this location from 7/26 - 7/29 for my father in law’s funeral. I asked them for the bereavement rate, they said they never heard of it. The room (311) was hot as sauna. I had to call the desk three times to get someone to address this issue. Outside it was in the 90’s. The lady at the desk said the manager tell housekeeping to turn the air conditioner off to conserve energy. We parked in handicapped, a female working there yelled down the hall to inform me I parked in handicapped. Clearly you see the handicap on my vehicle there was no need to yell at all, she needed to go look at the vehicle not to embarrass herself. The pool is inoperable (closed). There were two microwaves in the room. One work and one broken. The lady at the desk told me I would be compensated for the night I was inconvenienced but all the took off my room is $50.00. Acting GM Ebony Grace in which every time I called she wasn’t available.

The maintenance is what got them the two stars on rooms. We had to cancel one of our two rooms due to a maintenance issue that should've been addressed post haste before we ever arrived. Otherwise, the room was clean and the staff were great. Fix up your fix it team and you'll have a winner here!

The lady at the front desk seems pretty nice, but that was about the extent of the upside if this hotel. The towels, sheets, and pillows are some of the lowest quality out of any Marriott (or hotel) I have stayed at. The tv in the bedroom didn’t work, but we did not figure that out until we had already put our children to sleep. Also, AC does not seem to be working in the back room. I would strongly advise finding anywhere else.

The staff were so friendly and the rooms were very clean and nice! We were pleasantly surprised at every turn from their pet amenities, thoughtful notes, and great breakfast.

Normally 5 stars are reserved for the top of the flag hotels, but this RI deserves one. The service was great. Room was modern and all that we expected. The location is superb. Several restaurants within convenient waking distance. No airport noise. We'll be back.

I would like to give a 10 star rating to Brittany, who took my reservation over the phone, and later that evening checked us in. She is a perfect example of professionalism, awesome customer service with a smile, and a genuinely caring individual. She deserves employee of the year. I have been a loyal Hilton member for over 20 years but recently, all they care about is getting more and more money from me and loyalty seems to be a one way street. After my first experience with Residents Inn off I-26 in Spartanburg and now here at the Jacksonville International Airport. We are sold and will always plan our travels around the Residents Inn. Hslf the price of Hampton Inn by Hilton and yet nicer rooms and also have free breakfast. Thank you Brittany.

We spent $500 on a 2-day stay for a suite SOLELY because of the fireplace that l fantasized about all week & could not wait to use...only to find out that the fireplace doesn't even work!!! Once l realized this, l instantly regretted booking our reservation and l did not enjoy my stay just because of that! I don't care if there were roaches and mold everywhere with terrible service from staff; as long as that fireplace was functioning, l would have been happy! I also have yet to receive my deposit back. If l could leave 0 stars, l would.

Within 30 minutes of being at the hotel i had been moved to 3 different rooms. The first room I was in I went to plug in my tooth brush in the outlet and it didnt work. went to press the reset button on the GFCI and got SHOCKED. Notified front desk and was moved to another room. I got locked in the next room due to the electronic lock malfunctioning. The 3rd and final room the tv did not work in the bedroom. Within my stay i had seen multiple roaches in my room. I had to purchase a febreeze plugin to make the room smell half way descent. I typically stay in hiltons and think that will be my last stay in a marriot.

If reliable internet access is important to you, choose another hotel. I am staying at this property for an extended period of time while renovations are being completed on my house. Last week internet access was unavailable for well over 24 hours. Today, I am going on THREE DAYS without access to the internet in my room. I need internet access in order to be able to work. Twice, this has happened. In a week. The hardest part is, because the internet access works in the lobby, where I am writing this review, the management team here just doesn't really care if I have no internet connection in my room. When I ask the front desk for an update on a resolution to this issue they either, 1) shrug their shoulders and look at me with a blank stare, or, 2) tell me that they are waiting for a call from tech support for the internet provider. THREE DAYS

This property has the best staff, we stayed here for work and they had a guest appreciation night. It was so much fun. Ebony goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, she bends over backwards for all guests even if she isn't doing the limbo. Highly recommend you stay here.

So I stayed there for 4 nights I did have good stay because I was only there to sleep but The things that wasn’t pleasant were there was a spider in my bathroom, I didn’t bother to call because I killed it also there was a lot of rusted markings all around the room! White Stains on the sofa (smh) the room needs a refresher of paint everywhere also the soap dispenser kept falling off the wall in the bathroom! I loved the complimentary Breakfast they had various options for u to choose but they were closed on Christmas which wasn’t so good but understandable.

Don’t hesitate to stay here! They treat you like family. James at the front desk was our hero when the rental car place had no more cars for a friend of mine. Sent the hotel shuttle even though it was almost done for the evening. They provided birthday snacks which was a very special treat and nice touch as well. It’s nice to see a company with such a caring staff.

Brittany was great at check-in. Breathe of fresh air after all day in the car. Kinda disappointed that they discontinued providing USA Today.

Room was very old, requested in advance towels and bedding for pull out and didn't receive. Large stain on pull out mattress and one bedroom mattress. Dirt and peeling grout on fireplace, bathrooms... Just in really bad condition. Parking lot is confusing as well if you're not from the area.

We were recently in Jacksonville for an extended stay and chose to stay at the Residence Inn near the airport. The location was really easy to get to and from the airport as well as a number of restaurants and stores within a couple miles. The reason for me giving a 5 star review was the staff at the hotel. They were extremely accommodating to our situation and ensured that we had everything we needed for our stay. They were flexible with us not knowing how long we were going to be there and made us feel right at home. I especially want to give a great review to the general manager Andrew. He did an excellent job and was extremely personable. Being away from home for an extended time is never fun but this staff deserves a lot of credit for doing such a great job.

The staff was friendly and accommodating to us. The rooms need a makeoverfrom the old smelly carpet, stained sofa sectional and burnt smooth top stove

BED BUGS, MOLD, ROACHES, and more. This review is an update on the current conditions (July 2022) of the hotel and my experience. To start the air quality in each room is horrible. Each has this damp feeling making the air thick and moist. Which is why appliances in each of the 4 rooms I switched to had rust in them. By the way the rooms smell like mildew as well. Possibly due to poor ventilation I There was mold growing on the desk chair in a couple rooms. I mean does anyone not see this stuff? ROOM 216. Apparently this is the room that residents had the seafood boil in. Something they empathized at check in that I shouldn’t do. This one in particular smelled the worst. 2 nights I stayed in there. I had a headache that was out of this world along with getting stuffy only 5 minutes of being in the room. The only staff that was truly helpful in getting me out of that room was Brittany. I spoke w/ a short dark skinned fella w/ a little mohawk, who when I explained what was going on thought it was funny and he didn’t help much. My take on the room is. They attempted to clean the room. Maybe went over the carpet with a carpet cleaner but the building is poorly ventilated w/ bad air circulation which sounds like a recipe for mold to grow. Carpet probably stayed damp for days. Rip that carpet up and I’m positive you’ll find mold. Uhh ROOM 304 the only decent room I stayed in. ROOM 128 I believe has rust on all of the metal. Dirty bed linings. Smelled of cigarettes. Yea, didn’t stay in this one just went to go check it out before moving my stuff in. ROOM 321 had BED BUGS. Caught one crawling out of my pillow case. I mean wow. There was a dirty qtip between the mattress and box spring. How it got there idk. They don’t clean thoroughly so yea. Also who was disgusting enough to place it there anyway? This building simply needs an overhaul. I don’t think it is healthy for anyone to stay in and your money can be spent for better else where.

Second worse hotel experience I've had in 20 years of traveling. Shuttle bus took 50 minutes to arrive despite arranging a pick up from before. Couldn't reach the front desk as they wouldn't pick up the phone. Finally paid for taxi to take me to the hotel around 12am. Exhausted I wearily made it to my room discover that the air conditioner was malfunctioning. While it wasn't perfect I was exhausted from my flights and decided to try to sleep. After perspiring in bed and unable to sleep for an hour I went to the front desk to request another room. I got checked into my new room at 2am. It had air-conditioner but the room was dimly lit, had a musty smell and the carpet, towels and sheets felt continually damp. The management was incredioulus and seemed uncaring about the conditions. The couch had crumbs from the previous occupants and it was clear that the cleaning efforts were minimal. When trying to check out the next morning I wasn't even acknowledged by the front desk staff as they were too busy discussing ridiculous demands by the firemarshalls and playing on their phones. This experience has completely tarnished the expectations I had of Marriott maintain a decent standard for their guests. On a positive note, the breakfast offerings (served 7 to 9 am) was pretty decent and they even had friendly staff on hand to assist with the food buffet selection.

We had a great stay overall. The property is conveniently located off I-95 and close to the JAX Airport. Many restaurants and shops are nearby. The front desk was very friendly and helpful when we checked in. Our only issue was I was staying with my brother who was able to enjoy the breakfast but when be attempted to bring me breakfast to the room he was stopped by either the front desk or breakfast employee and was told that he could not do that which is ridiculous. I was not able to get the breakfast myself as I was awake until 430am the night before and this was the reason for him to bring it to the room. I have never had such an issue at any other Marriott property.

The hotel is well furnished, spacious and the most important thing the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They accommodated our needs and went above and beyond!

We had an family emergency and we needed immediate help, the staff was amazing they provided us with a room to take care of our situation. Amazing out of the box effort to support a family in need. Thank you very much for helping us in time of need.

Rooms are very nice but hallways not so much boxes laying in hallways, shower seats as well. Lobby is very nice but they keep the temp in the lobby around 65 in the winter or at least for the week I was there. Breakfast is average but customer service was great

There were some hurdles, such as our toilets moving slowly and needing to be plunged but overall it was a good experience and I'm grateful to the staff for helping out and making our stay comfortable. Our breakfast was good, we had waffles and I really appreciate the attendant letting me sneak in and make a few more right before they closed for the day. Definitely recommend for people traveling with kids, teens, or another couple.
