Had an anniversary party here for a 50th. Kim (the “normal” one, as she said) and Kim (the “crazy one”) were absolutely hilarious. it was very beautiful but the bartender was yelling at us for “running” while we were speed walking to the bathroom because we needed to use the restroom very badly.

Horrible. The guy at the front desk was so rude and nasty to me. The looks he gave me were of disgust. I’m guessing because I had a bonnet on he may have been judging me but this isn’t my first encounter with him. You never know what ppl are going through and I just got out of surgery and the way he was looking at me and just silent beyond being uncomfortable wasn’t nice. He asked what I needed I told him I had a reservation and he asked my name. Told me he didn’t see anything. So I told him I did it on the app. So he was like oh you used pointsss. Yes sir is how I replied. He then went through a pile of cards gave me my key. Walked to the sinks got me two water and went to hand them to me saying thanks for being a Marriott platinum member. Water extended I told him no thank you I didn’t want them. He said nothing just looked at me for about 30 seconds walked away. Needless to say. They could have the point. I didn’t even I stay I just turned around and left

Breakfast not included. For the price it really should be. Bottled water was not complimentary and the water coming out of the tap smelled like sulfur. The first room I was given smelled like people had been boarding dogs there. 3 of the 4 lights had bulbs that were burnt out and they said they didn’t have any replacements. The phone in the room did not work. Stayed in a different room the next night with a 1PM late checkout requested. Housekeeping started knocking on the door at 11AM and kept waking me up. I work nights so that’s an issue. Happened the first night too. And finally, they shut the water off the second morning so no shower, toilet or water available when I got up. Some of my crew was informed, but I was not. Poor communication by staff. Overall terrible stay☹️

I’ve never slept in a more uncomfortable bed than the one in this hotel. We came to Jacksonville for a wedding and the groom’s father booked hotel rooms for out of town guests. The tv is positioned in such a way that you could only watch it while laying on the bed at a weird angle. The picture was very dim and the sound continually cut out. I am only 26 and normally sleep throughout the whole night. This bed had me waking up continuously through the night and there was no way to ever feel comfortable. I woke up with so much pain every morning that it caused tears. It feels like the springs are right up under you and it would probably be more comfortable to just sleep on the floor. I looked at the reviews and see a LOT of people were complaining about their uncomfortable bed experiences. Don’t bother staying here when the price is high, and you can’t even get a good nights sleep.

This stay was pretty bad. When I arrived, the front desk clerk was in the back room sitting at a desk. Because the room was open, I could see him. He waited about 30 seconds, then got up, came to the front desk and said, "Did you need something?" I was a bit taken aback and said, "Yeah, to check in." He went through the entire process and didn't say a word to me, other than when he had to ask for my ID and credit card. He didn't even tell me the amount of the hold. Then, he told me where the elevators are and about breakfast. When I asked if it was complimentary, he said, "No, you have to pay." That was the whole experience. No thanks for staying, or let us know if you need anything, etc. When I got to the room, the bed was pretty uncomfortable. It was 4th of July so I expected to hear some fireworks and celebrations outside, which I did. What I did not expect, however, was the road noise. I had the curtains closed, and I could hear cars like I was on the road. It almost seemed amplified. Since I had the light near the door turned on but the other lights in the room turned off and it was night, I could see a couple gnats that were flying around the light. There was also a spider in the bathroom, but it had gone under a crack by the time I got my camera out to take a picture of it. Very little hot water and what was there was lukewarm. Also, the picture I have attached I thought was amusing...two body washes but no shampoo. Luckily I had my own. AM front desk clerk did not ask how my stay was when checking out, so maybe they didn't want to know or had a feeling it might have gone badly. Either way, do not recommend. Courtyard is usually mid-tier and decent. This was not to the usual standards.

I was so disappointed in this hotel. The facilities and location are great. However, the cleanliness of the entire place was horrible. All of the carpets and furniture in the lobby, hallways, and room were stained. The bathroom and floors were dirty, to the point there was old blood on the toilet. The shower handle wasn’t even cleaned. Our feet were black from the dirty carpets and my kids couldn’t even play on the floor because it was so gross. We also found condom wrappers in the drawers. The closet and furniture was completely covered in dust in some areas. We asked housekeeping and the front desk to clean our room again…still didn’t clean it correctly. The price of this hotel and star rating is definitely not up to par. This was a 2 star hotel at the most and the only reason it received more than one star is because the facility itself was nicely kept.

Food service was great, but the afternoon, evening front desk person did not offer a professional Marriott welcome. He didn't offer a hello, no welcome in nor how may I help you. Very poor personality.

The people are friendly here which is great, but it doesn't substitute for the hot water no working properly. For $280 per night I was not expecting to take a cold shower as if I was in prison or something. The jacuzzi had the same cold water issue as well. Definitely was not pleased with that experience.

I have to say, the staff has been great. Luna has made me feel welcome and provided such a friendly, fun atmosphere to have a few laughs after work. Alisa has also gone out of her way to make sure I’ve had a good meal after work. These two women have truly made my stay wonderful. Thank you for the personalized, welcoming, and fun service you provide!

Excellent customer service by everyone, from the front desk to the restaurant staff. Luna st the bar was probably the best part. Best bartending ever plus good company.

My Church Faith Zone International had an event on 6/10/2023 at 7:30pm. The crew had everything ready to go and served our entire party with total care and professionalism. Their attention to detail, kindness was noticed by everyone in our party and they did everything to make sure that our event was successful. SPECIAL THANKS to Ms. Ashley and Ms. Luna were fantastic and took exceptional care of us. Thank You!!!

The staff were great, the rooms were clean and bug free, and the beds were nice too. My only complaint was the pool was dirty so we didn’t use it due to all the debris in the bottom. But the patio out back near the pool was accommodating and the front of the hotel faces due East. Great place. Will stay again.

I read many reviews while booking this hotel and I am wondering where the negative ones came from? The location is brilliant, the rooms are clean, bed is comfy, Microwave and refrigerator is a plus👌, Airconditioner working well. The only missing thing was a safe. May be I didn't find it😄 Check in and check out was easy. In summary, a lovely place to stay.

Absolutely deplorable. Came down to spend time with my active duty son and having stayed in a Marriott hotel before, I thought it would be a good choice. Lesson learned! As mentioned in previously written reviews, the beds are much in line with sleeping on hard wood rather than an actual bed. The king size room I paid for is a joke. There was more space in the 2 bed standard size room at other hotels. The television is placed in a way that makes it difficult to watch. The closet and desk furniture appears like it is at least 20 years old. There is no continental breakfast like you can find at any other hotel and you even get the joy of paying $5/ cup of bad tasting coffee from their on site bistro that was hyped up on their site. Customer service.... aside from check in desk attitude, which was good, I have not seen much else. My family will never again stay in a Marriott.

The bed was uncomfortable, the bed was wobbling, the tv wasn’t working we couldn’t cut the sound down, the iron wasn’t working, refrigerator wasn’t working not cold at all, the hot water wasn’t working, they was also renovating and didn’t tell us that, elevator wasn’t functioning right, there’s was no breakfast you at pay 💰 $20 for small little breakfast, we had to move to another room that the hot water wasn’t still working. Don’t not stay here bad smells and cigarettes 🚬 smoking and weed smells. Stuff was very rude and didn’t care and wanted $400 dollars more the devil lied to them!!!!

Worst hotel bed I've ever slept on. Mattress felt old and cheap, and we weren't really sure if it was even a king size bed. Bed was low to the ground, and the mattress felt like it only had a couple inches of padding between the springs and the top. Mattress creaked if you moved, and was so stiff we both felt extremely sore after sleeping on it. Pillows were thin, more or less needing 2 of them for the thickness of your average sized pillow, which they did help with. Bed side table was very small as well. Also, the room smelled musty all the time. For what we paid, we were both sore, tired, and disappointed with our stay at a Marriott.

David was wonderful and very helpful getting me a special rate due to family medical issues. I am very grateful. That being said, I dropped something on the floor and looked under the bed, where I found a used vape cartridge and a plastic bottle both of which I threw away. There were other items and white powder, lots of dust...and no "walls" around the bed frame to prevent such garbage from collecting. When I mentioned those items during checkout, the kind rep said "I wouldn't want to stay in a room like that" and proceeded to bill me as if everything were fine.

The only thing about my stay that was a bit off was the the Bistro. It was short staffed and it took quite some time to get the food that was ordered. They definitely made up for it with the other friendly/knowledgeable staff that took care of me during my stay. The Bistro Supervisor, Spencer McGinnis was working my last day and even though they didn't have the correct menu items on my order he went above and beyond to take care of my order! Next time I am down this way I will make sure to come back to this hotel!

I cannot say enough about this hotel and the team. We were attending a conference during Tropical Storm Nicole. The hotel staff is the best there is. They made our conference fun, kept us fed and happy and the hotel was super clean. My thanks to Kim, Jennifer, Rick, Bonita and the whole team for a great week. Will be back soon!

My stay was fabulous until I checked out. I spent more time calling cust serv and the ppl on staff to fix what I deemed to be a problem. My first thought was not to share my experience but I thought that many ppl would not be looking for a sign stating that your credit card would be dinged with "pending" charges. Not for one day but for each night during your stay. So if you use a debit card there is a "charge" added to your card. I was told by someone in my party that there was a sign. She was reading as I checked in. Once I spoke to the manager on the 3rd day of trying to rectify this concern she told me that there was a sign stating the charge. Two things... they shouldn't just assume that you've read the sign. 2. Once they find out the method of pay they should make their customers aware. Once I told her that I paid with a credit card she told me that a debit and credit card was the same thing. I think not. 🤔 then she offered to be on the phone (3 !way call) to make my card service that the $$$$ that was pending was not correct. Smh. So customer service admitted that there was a huge $$$$ mistake here. That was the first cs rep that I spoke with. The second cs rep told me that in my confirmation was a notation about your cars being hit. Lol I thought it was hilarious when what she attempted to tell me where it would be located she couldn't find it. Customer service and the ppl I spoke with at CY tried to piss on my leg and told me that it was raining. With that being said I will avoid CYM during my travels. I rated rooms a three because the shower curtain was filthy. My sisters shower curtain appeared to have body fluids on it. It was changed after telling the hotel manager that we'd asked three different individuals to change the curtain. We had gone as far as telling that to give us the curtain we'd change it. These individuals were awesome and very accommodating. Sarah, Ms Alisa, Toni and Marie.

I visited someone staying here. Swam in the pool a day before the hurricane and that was nice and unexpected. Room seemed rather clean. Staff was friendly enough. May would stay here if need be, depending on price. Everything on menus and whatnot seemed overpriced.

Our Daughter had her wedding at La Venture Grove In Switzerland Florida and we found this hotel to be convenient and close. The staff was so friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They even allowed our Yorkie to stay for a reasonable fee. Pet friendly and a kind and courteous staff. Highly recommend this hotel.

In my experience, all Courtyard by Marriott's have been comfortable and clean. This particular Courtyard offered the same but was unfortunately dealing with a number of issues during my stay on 1/13 - 1/15/22. Their Internet was out of commission for my entire stay which created major inconvenience. Their hot tub was barricaded off for non-use and they had loud, heavy machinery operating on a roof construction project starting at 8:00 AM, making it impossible to sleep. I stayed in a suite on the 4th floor that is clearly outdated. The couch had a large 5 inch tear in it. The plastic toilet handle was cracked and about to fall off. Paint chips fell to the floor when I opened the balcony door. The bedroom AC unit made so much noise, it woke me up several times during the night, but I was grateful it kept the unit cool regardless. Also, I was surprised to find that the refrigerator did not have a freezer compartment in it like most hotel's have these days. I chose this Courtyard by Marriott location mainly because it offered a balcony within the suite. It does have a convenient location to the freeway as well. The front desk staff was understandably overwhelmed due to the Internet outage but were still able to maintain an incredibly kind and professional attitude. I'd be happy to recommend this specific hotel to anyone willing to pay the higher end rates for a hotel in dire need of upgrades. In all fairness, I imagine the pandemic has played a heavy roll in it's decline. Perhaps all the current construction going on is a good sign for their future.

The Hotel canceled my reservation a day early and lied to me, telling me that I only reserved one night. I still have the email confirmation of a two-night reservation. Complained to corporate, who sent my complaint to the hotel’s management. Never got any response or apology. Avoid staying here; there’s plenty of other hotels in the area.
