Loved our stay at the MWR cottage (NAS Jacksonville)! Perfect place for a peaceful and quiet stay. Highly recommend! We will definitely miss this place.

Absolutely unprofessional. In regards to a question I had about shipping an item to my room during my stay I actually got threatened to be hung up on multiple times. I cannot believe that happened. There was no profanity, or aggressiveness, but complete rudeness and threats. It was a simple question that turned bad.

Stop in for a quick over night whiletraveling. The room certainly provided for a very good over night to stay. Plenty of base facilities all close by to get anything you need. Staff we're very professional and helpful on check in.

This Gateway, although older and needing some updates and a few repairs, was absolutely wonderful! We were in a room looking out on the St. John's River, and the view was lovely, especially from the huge floor-to-celing window by the door!! Stunning!! The room was clean enough (the carpet needed cleaning; but that window looked like we could walk right through it! The bed and pillows were more comfortable than ours at home, and the linens were really nice. The room had a small fridge with a freezer up top. There were 2 large closets, and a safe. The room was nicely appointed, and had plenty of space (we didn't have a suite).Surprisingly, and thankfully, they are pet friendly! We will absolutely return!

Stayed at the Kitsap Bangor base. Awesome place!!! We were told prior to making reservations the room had no ac, but that did not deter us. Temps were in the 80s. The rooms had ceiling fans, windows and a fan and front desk said more fans were available if needed. Spacious living too., has a fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker. Front desk personnel very friendly. Free laundry as well. Spacious parking lot. Carts for luggage, just cannot drive up to the front door, but that's ok too

If you are looking for modern and sparkly new, this is not it. But the rooms are most definitely adequate. Equipped with a nearly full sized refrigerator, a sink, desk, microwave, TV, clowet, bed and bath of course. Most importantly, the price is right. Conveniently located near interstate, food and stores.

We had a suite with a separate bedroom. Everything was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The furniture was nice but the actual room and building would do with a little modernization. The main living area had a dining area and living space and a huge vaulted ceiling. The bathroom was separate with a Whirlpool tub. The kitchen had a microwave and a good size fridge, but had no utensils and no burner or stove. We stayed on the top floor, which was the 5th, and had a great view of the St Johns River. The front desk attendant, Judy, was extremely helpful and very pleasant. It would be a great place to stay more extendedly if it had some kitchen utensils and stove top. There is no complimentary breakfast.

Service is horrible for our 2 nights experience. No facilities in the suite we occupied. I thought the services and facilities ought to be the same or similar compared to what I enjoyed in Norfolk areas. No simple hand wash soaps, no sanitizer at the entrance, talk less of inside the room. My wife and daughter were not happy at all. As a result, we had to checked out earlier. Service provided doesn't match the amount charged at all. I would have gotten better service in the economy. Bye!

Located on Mustin Rd, this NGIS is beautifully situated on the water, within walking distance to the O Club and golf course. Comprised of two buildings, I highly recommend bld 844 over the other, since it has an elevator, indoor hallways, and looks to be more recently renovated than the other. (I've stayed in both and 844 is just brighter and cleaner.) Staff is always wonderful.

We (12 of us) go to NAS Jacksonville twice a year (spring and fall) for a 5 day golf trip. Been doing it for years. We stay in the cabins by the golf course (3 nine hole courses), three to a cabin. Very comfy. Great rates (for golf too). Mulligan's bar and restaurant is also very good. Great folks!

Great staff and the rates are a big savings over staying out in town.

The rooms here are not clean. I found 2 spiders in the room when I checked in, and continued to find more throughout my stay. I stayed a week and the towels were never replaced. The โ€œfront deskโ€ ladies were very rude as well. For the price, I would definitely recommend staying somewhere else if able.

Great place to stay! Love staying on base! Close to all amenities. Room with a river view plus the T Bar, can't beat it!

Stayed in the facility right off the water. Though had a parking lot view instead of the water view...great stay, nevertheless.

If I could give them a negative, I would!! Customer service is beyond terrible. No compassion from the "front desk." They have no elevators with 3 levels without informing as this is a problem for those with a condition that restricts them from climbing. Also, I was given a room after advising that I can't climb stairs and found bugs and roaches crawling around. I explained to the front desk staff and they showed no concern or resolution. The hotel is not well lit and doesn't make the guests feel safe. The main office is under construction which makes this place less appealing.

Great customer service and well maintained rooms. Beautiful view of St John's river and conveniently located close to the golf course.

Customer Service: 5 Location: 5 Parking: 5 Cleanliness: 4 Reservations: 5 Comfort: 4 This military lodging is situated on the Jacksonville, Florida Naval Air Station (NAS), so only visitors who process a valid and current military identification card can access this military base. This lodging is very near the heart of the downtown Jacksonville area, and they have very affordable prices considering how close they're from downtown. This facility nears to be updated to increase the comfort, considering the nightly room rate. I felt that the bed size should have been at least an queen size. The room was a small and appears to be old military barracks room. Their was one issue in the bathroom in which the toilet seat was loose, and we had to call in a maintanence call to the front desk upon our first night stay. Also itโ€™s very important for guest to understand that their heat and/or air conditioning is centralized control throughout the year by the base, so sometimes this can be challenging to some guests. There is also very fast and free WiFi in the individual rooms, which is very nice and allows guests to research daily activities. I enjoyed my lodging reservation this weekend, but Iโ€™m pretty confident that we will return for another visit at this lodging location.

Comfortable beds but the tv in the bedroom did not work at all. And it was freezing cold when we first entered the room. The sheets for the sofa bed didnโ€™t fit thank goodness we bought own blankets smh.

Went there to stay with my son who is activated for reserve duty. It's a nice place for him since he is there from Palm Harbor Florida. I went to use the sofa sleeper and unknown to him there was a sign on the sofa that said do not use. Ooc out of commission. He was kind of embarrassed but I didn't make a big deal out of it. Apparently the TV remote control did not work for on and off switch. I can understand the Navy needs to concentrate more on equipment to keep us safe then to take care of living facilities. I appreciate the Navy for letting me stay there and visit with my son who has now been in the service almost 8 years.

I stayed there for one night. No plates, dinnerware of any kind . Only microwave and refrigerator paper towels. It was very outdated. Iโ€™m talking probably 60s style . Bed was comfortable as was the view of the St Johns river but other than that not a place for me. If they had told me beforehand I would have stayed at the lodge there on the base which is a step or 2 above.
