This hotel is gross and the staff are absolutely not accommodating. The building is very old and they spent money to update the countertops instead of replacing the disgusting mattresses. Requesting housekeeping services get ignored just for them to ignore a do not disturb sign and enter your room without permission a few days later. Front desk staff just shrug their shoulders offering zero accountability.

First floor Rooms 120 to 104: These rooms have a rancid odor coming from the bathroom that can only be described as feces. Maintenance said the pipes all flow to a single point. House keeping says there is no way to fix the smell. I have febreeze almost on a continuous drip.

There was a RAT! In our room. It was around 2am, my husband and I were sleeping, I heard it squeak, we turned on the light and saw it run across the room and hide behind the bed. I called the front desk and asked for a maintenance man and a different room. I was told the maintenance man would not be here till 8 am and they where sold out. I was told the front desk called NGIS down the street and they didn't have any rooms either. We were offered with no alternative or solution for the night. Paralyzed by disgust and fear for my 4 months old baby I called NGIS myself to see if they had any rooms.... and they did. For one night.... we had to pack everything and move our things to NGIS. Upon our check in at NGIS the front desk told us that "yes that Navy lodge is known to have rats". The next day Navy Lodge offered a one night refund for the "inconvenience". Now, okay yes regulator pest are common...like woodland bugs and ants - those are an inconvenience...but RATS! are a major health hazard and this matter should not be taken lightly. In my 18 years traveling with the Navy and staying at Navy Lodges all over the country this was my worse experience. Not to mention the rooms are dark, no sponges or paper towels were provided. Its an old place. And though the staff was very friendly.... this place needs to be shutdown, revamped, cleaned out and they need to train their team on proper protocol for emergency maintenance calls such as this.

This Navy Lodge was an exceptional quality. Everything was updated and very clean. We had two queen beds and a bathroom area with the toilet and tub separate from the vanity. The kitchen at was well equipped and had two burners, a good size fridge and a microwave. There were all the utensils, pots and pans, bowls, tableware and whatever you needed to cook and eat. The front desk staff were all excellent and we were especially impressed with Demi. The complimentary breakfast was marginal with a few healthy options and it did fuel the body. We will definitely be staying here again if we have the opportunity and are in the area.

All was well until the last night when the manager got on my group’s case about wearing masks, saying she was the manager. She didn’t look like the manager I spoke with the day prior who said she’d had no complaints (impressive for a group of high school students). Roach as long as a 110v plug crawling up the wall was a nice touch, but how many did I not see?

Overall, reasonable accommodations for the price over my >1 month stay. Three issues: repairs, animals, housekeeping Repairs - upon checking in, I had multiple repair requests involving cords on blinds falling off, fridge replacement for door closure issue and leaking, bathtub drain clogging. There were four functional dryers for a hotel with roughly 90 rooms, others were out of service for the entirety of my stay. Animals - outdoor trash is filled with raccoons, you have to take out your own trash, and I would often throw the trash (sometimes miss the garbage bin entirely) to avoid contracting rabies from an uninvited bite. Indoors, I saw fruit flies if I left food in my room trash for more than 1 day, so I made an effort to take this out daily. Beetles were seen by the AC. A lizard was seen by my fridge. Maintenance addressed my pest issues in the room, but the raccoon issue remained. This is a health and safety concern. Housekeeping - upon check-in the front desk informed me housekeeping will service my room every 4th day, the standard note left in each room from the GM states they'll swing by every 3rd day. In actuality, they came every 5th day. I requested on three separate occasions for housekeeping to come on certain days of the week due to using my room for meetings on particular dates; this was not respected even once. I would encourage management to address maintenance/pest issues by pre-treating/pre-inspecting rooms, hiring exterminator for raccoon issue, and speak with housekeeping to streamline services for our active duty populations.

No big complaints about the hotel it self but the hotel internet is basically unusable. It disconnects you from the internet every 5 mins when it's working or the internet is so slow you can't even watch a YouTube video or stream any movies or shows. I had to use my phone as a hotspot just to have reliable internet which is sad. I did try multiple locations of the hotel for confirmation and multiple devices. It's pretty bad that is 2022 and a hotel can't have even decent internet.

A wonderful place. Not much traffic noise, kitchen area, nicely kept rooms and awesome staff. Should my family and I come back to the Jacksonville area, we will definitely stay here again.

Rooms were very clean, spacious and accommodating. You can't beat the great price. Room came with a nice little kitchenette and complimentary coffee. Breakfast is complimentary too and offers a nice variety. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking and for military families relocating it has places to park small moving trucks. Located right next to the golf course. Will definitely return.

Having to PCS here and this being the 3rd Navy lodge stay while moving cross country, this is the worst/saddest navy lodge. To them selling your room, to bed bugs, to the food. The other Navy lodges provide clean rooms and a decent breakfast. This navy lodge seems to only feed cold, undercooked food. (Mind you it's all microwaveable- or carb overload) Please also check your milks. They like to put out expired milk.

We recently utilized the Navy Lodge at NAS Jacksonville. I haven’t stayed at one in oh so many years. Check-in was a breeze. Staff was friendly and gave us a $10 coupon for the NEX. They had three luggage carts with places to hang backpacks and garment bags. We had a dog with us but forgot the papers (shots et al). I took our dog to our relatives and he stayed there. The room was OK and what I would expect for a pet room. I happened to a walk by a more modern non-pet room and wished we would have stayed in that (we were going to have the shot records faxed but the dog loved staying with our relatives so it wasn’t worth the hassle. The room was VERY clean. The reason I’m at four not five is 1)Bathroom could be updated with an elongated 1.0 gallon flush toilet; 2) the entry to the vanity/closet/shower and kitchen could be finished with trim carpentry vice just drywall. BUT again that may be a difference on pet room vice not pet room (trim). The price is Amazing. Breakfast was what you’d see at a Hampton or Homewood Suites. I’m a Hilton guy in my travels. But will consider Navy Lodge more based on price, value, and pet policy. Thanks for a great service to our AD, reserve, retired, and civilian workforce.

Clean, Friendly, Efficient, Location, Exceeds Expectations. My husband and I spent 3 nights at this gem, where our room with kitchen was clean clean clean. The desk staff exemplify the best in class for friendliness and customer service. Did our room need updating? Yes, but we're Hilton Honors members and 90% of the Hilton rooms need updating, so ignore the noise about cosmetic updates. The location is great for shady walks near the river, for a meal at the golf course, and for a quick pizza at the bowling alley. If you have kids, there is a spacious playground in back with plenty of patio furniture to spend a few hours. I love the Starbucks-like glass case at the front desk with cakes, beverages and sandwiches. Breakfast was great and we liked the turkey sausage on a stick because it was new to us. The desk clerk gave us $10 coupons for NEX and that was a nice surprise. This Navy Lodge gets 5 stars and we'll be back.

Nice clean place to stay. Byob as they don't sell it there. Very disappointed that the other property is tearing down the S3 bar and all its its history and memorabilia though, O club is sitting unused, only open for special events. Sad to see our military bases changing like this. Miss the good ole days

I was robbed 156.00 and the assistant manager insisted it was not. I provided testimony by two employees, bank statement, and the contradiction from the assistant manager herself. Also over charged on pet and refuse to return the balance remaining. After 25yrs of traveling in military lodges this is the first time, I have experienced neglect of proper procedures.

Very clean and the staff was wonderful. We had planned on staying 2 nights but due to Hurricane Ian we came home and they were so helpful.
