My husband and I stayed for four days at this wonderful hotel and wish we could have stayed longer. Everything about the hotel was excellent from the staff to the room, the pool, the location and of course the beach. And the affordability. For an upgrade to an oceanfront room ( which is so worth it) it’s still so much less than what we’d expect for what is included and available. The room was clean and the beds extremely comfortable. Perhaps what I appreciated most about this hotel was the customer service. Every single person working there would greet you with a hello or a “hope you are enjoying your stay “ and front desk always seemed to remember who you were. We had a problem with our room which the hotel dealt with and compensated us for the inconvenience. There are too many positives of this hotel but needless to say, we would most certainly highly recommend it to others. Perhaps the only suggestion I would make would be to carefully label all food items in the breakfast buffet. On one morning I suspected that the scrambled eggs had cheese in them due to their lovely creamy texture but the label did not indicate so. Since I cannot eat dairy for medical reasons I asked the wonderfully kind chef/manager of the buffet and discovered that they did have dairy but he was so accommodating and prepared some regular scrambled eggs for me. Thank you Hampton Inn and we hope to see you again!

This is only a "3 star hotel" on paper, but in reality it feels like a mini resort. The pool, bar, food, staff, view and beach access are excellent. Some of the rooms may need a little TLC around the air conditioner area, but for a beach hotel like this everything is kept clean and in good shape. In some ways, the rooms are nicer than more expensive hotels. You can walk onto the beach within a minute of leaving your room and the staff are very nice as well. The breakfast is also pretty awesome too, even if you don't like waking up early...

Last weekend my daughters and I stayed at this wonderful hotel that we will return to soon because we really enjoyed everything that is offered there. the hotel is really in front of the beach, the pool is wide enough for the kids to enjoy and the food is super delicious. I definitely have to highlight the food and the hotel staff because I could see that they are always attentive to the needs of the guests, which is super important to me because it is the essence of the hotel itself. A very important plus is that most of the employees speak English and Spanish, beginning with their manager, a person truly dedicated to his work. Thank you very much because we really enjoyed our stay. Totally recommended for you to come and rest with your family.

Good location. Great staff. However… my digital key didn’t work for my room. Pretty aggravating when your arms are full of bags and you have to go back down four floors to the front desk. The king bed mattress was like a brick and the pillows were equivalent to throw pillows. The AC is apparently motion detected and when you get back to your room after a full day of work, it’s 75 degrees in the room when the thermostat is set at 65. Water in the sink trickled out with both hot and cold turned all the way on. Lastly, two of the three elevators were out of order for three days of my stay. This I find unacceptable. This hotel needs to step it up in my opinion. One more thing. Be prepared to have a leaf blower at the pool area as your alarm clock at 7:45am.

Oceanfront view was spectacular -beautiful to watch the sunrise. The room had a standard microwave and small refrigerator. The bathroom could use some improvements - the shower head was not completely affixed to the wall, the tub needed resurfacing and the faucet dripped. The front desk staff members were cordial, not overly friendly but professional. The kitchen staff and housekeeping teams were very nice, helpful and pleasant to engage with. The pool area is clean. The parking lot was full during my visit luckily there was an extended parking area across the street. The outside tiki bar area was a nice space to grab a bite or a refreshment for the beach. The beach of course was amazing!

The room is nice, comfortable and clean. The bed is comfortable as well. However, the water from the sink smells like fish, there was hair in the shower that wasn't mine, there was only two bath towels, the pull out sofa had a hanger like arm detach itself from the side of the frame when unfolding and it scratched my 6 year old because it was hiding underneath the loose, fitted sheet, and we were woken up really early by a crew jackhammering the pool outside of our room. It's deafening. If you stay here, make sure it's not on the pool side through mid February.

Great pet friendly hotel right on the beach. Check in was smooth and the staff was friendly. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, we had a view of the water from our room and a small balcony. Breakfast was a plus. Their coffee not so much. Location , location. We will be back.

The hotel was very nice and not too far from local restaurants. We had an oceanfront room and the views were amazing! The room was a really good size and it was pretty clean. The complimentary breakfast was not bad, pretty standard. My only complaint was that the fridge was not keeping anything cold at all. But other than that we cannot wait until we can come back!

Stayed for 34 days. Friendly staff great location for the beach. Just far enough away from the bars so quiet area to stay. Lucinda and Carole were the most pleasant and friendly staff. Always good to have a chat with them. Would recommend. Only downside was the tub in bathroom 310 could do with a replacement or even whole bathroom replacement and putting shower in instead.

Fantastic experience. Beautiful room with terrace. Pool, awesome! Open until 10pm, which is great! Steps to the beach, which is also beautiful. Very clean room and pleasant hotel staff. Tiki bar in the back with reasonable priced food and drinks. Sad I had to leave before the hotel breakfast, I heard it's great! You won't regret your stay here.

Call the front desk to see what deals they may have. Me and my family went here for my son's birthday, he wanted to stay on the beach. I'm so honored to receive a discounted rate because honestly this room isn't worth $400 a night on a weekday. Very friendly staff. They will get whatever you need without any attitude. They have a resort style pool, restaurant and bar and all of it was good...food and drinks were good. They delivered our food right to us when we were at the pool. Beach area is nice with shower and walkway. Room was very clean just need some improvements to the bathroom would make this room really worth it. We had 2 balconies in our suite. We enjoyed our stay. Make sure you get your parking pass and the amount of bracelets for all staying. Breakfast is served in the dining room so get there early. As a mental health advocate for Strength You Cant See, here in Jacksonville Fl, going to the beach is such a relaxing space to pray and relieve any stressors.

Great location. We enjoyed the pool and easy beach access. This is definitely a renovated hotel and you can tell with no ceilings and cracking paint. They need to go in once more a update it but we enjoyed ourselves.

Really don't want to tout this place in fear it will get too crowded as it almost felt like a secret. I'm a bit persnickety but I had a tough time finding faults, and I'm good at it... Did not love the fact that the bathrooms didn't have exhaust fans and the in-room fridge was really just too small but darn near everything was nice, clean and conveniently designed. The pool and hot tub effect is outrageous and was comfortably warm getting into during our stay at the end of January. Staff blew me away with their professionalism and friendliness and I'm telling you I'm not an easy mark. Quick beach access with loungers available to rent and a nice outdoor tiki bar. Really seemed more like a private resort than a middle budget brand hotel. All the positives are just too long a list so just trust me, you won't like it, don't go

Rooms are bright, clean, spacious. Could barely hear the person checking me in because the other employee was talking so loudly to a guest. Literally screaming. Nice bar, very expensive. Parking fee isn’t too high but it’s weird to get taxed on it. Pool area was cute. Breakfast was clean and had many options. Check out was easy. My only complaint was the service personnel allowing the door to their supplies to slam several times in a row first thing in the morning. Apparently that door backs up to the room exactly where the bed is in my room. What a way to wake up feeling like the wall is falling on top of you from the shaking and noise. Literally thought something was coming thru the wall.

Brandy at the front desk upon our early arrival was very helpful, efficient, got us room where I needed it. Was just very accommodating. Brandy Thank you so much. The hotel was very clean, smelled amazing. I loved the grotto pool and hot tub. Which I used regularly. I enjoyed my two days here more than my week long cruise I just got off from Bahamas. Highly recommend this hotel. Will definitely return.

Well-maintained hotel with oceanfront rooms under $200 /night! Pets allowed (extra charge??) Customer service is excellent, everyone is very friendly and responsive to any concerns. Hotel/rooms are modern and as described. Good water pressure (shower head has 5 settings, maybe why other reviews say poor water pressure) Caution: hotel is shaped like a "T" and the ocean front rooms are at the top of the T, quite a walk from the front desk to room. Pictures are of 637. Full breakfast, fresh and tasty. Excellent coffee! Staff ready to assist. ASK ABOUT FREE PARKING, there are multiple lots, some you pay for and some are free. They didn't mention that on check-in.

Positives: Convenient location. Staff was attentive and friendly on check in. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Downsides: There was broken furniture in the room. The bathroom was not as clean as should be as there was hair in the bathtub and sink when I checked in. The first morning I woke to an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke wafting in from the person in the room next to me. This is a nonsmoking hotel (The staff said they would address it when I reported it). The service area on the floor where the washers were located smelled of curdled milk. The hallway carpets were quite filthy but I guess it is to be expected with being on the beach. The positioning of the key readers for parking makes it impossible to access without having to open the car door. This is the case with parking beside the hotel and across the street. If they could be brought forward more it would be easier (just a suggestion).

Very good choice. Right at oceanfront, had a very large pool, overall very enjoyable time. And the fact that they provided complimentary breakfast was a plus. The staff was on time for your every need. Rooms were clean and received cleaning throughout the trip upon request. Definitely one of the best oceanfront hotel stays that I’ve experienced and I would definitely recommend to anyone planning a family vacation in the area

My wife and I stayed here last week and it was an outstanding experience. Quick check in, clean room with an amazing ocean front view and very friendly, helpful staff that will go out of their way to assist making your experience thoroughly enjoyable. It’s steps to the beach and that’s why we chose it. The pool was huge and clean with lots of recliners available to just lie out in the sun, relax and have a cold one. The breakfast was wonderful and plentiful, with good variety. The restaurant and bar was great too and even had evening live entertainment! Complimentary coffee was always available. We travel the Caribbean frequently and this hotel had the vibe of an all inclusive resort. A great place to stay in JAX Beach!

I had an amazing stay, the rooms were clean, the ac was cold and the breakfast was delicious. Having an ocean view brought it all together, I did not want to come home, I had such a great time. The staff members are very welcoming and engaging. I cannot say anything was wrong with my stay. I will absolutely come back!!!

Some of the reviews had me kind of nervous but surprisingly, I had an overall great stay. Staff was friendly and very welcoming and I love to easy access to the beach and the amazing oceanfront view from the room. Housekeeping was provided each day and the housekeeping staff was also very friendly. 4/5 stars only because I’m an extreme clean freak and I had to do some cleaning/sanitizing to my preference.

First time staying here and we definitely want to come back! Located right off the beach. The pool is amazing! Staff is friendly! We love how neat, clean, and colorful the place is. The balcony was a little added bonus! Awesome place!😍 We liked it so much that i tried adding another night, but unfortunately it was unavailable. So we will have to come back hopefully again soon! I attached my view from our balcony at night. Enjoy and have fun!

After having a terrible experience at a nearby hotel, Robert (night time front desk) welcomed my family and I. He was able to resolve my issue and quickly get my family in a room where they could rest after an 8 hour drive. Our whole stay the staff were extremely caring and attentive. That was from the front desk all the way to house keeping. My family and I felt at peace and at home. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was never crowded, even being a 4th of July weekend. There is quick access to the beach and there is even an outside bar connected to the beach from the hotel. Hands-down will be staying here again in the near future. Thank you Hampton Inn staff and Robert for making our family vacation enjoyable.

We were not pleased with housekeeping not coming to our room daily to provide services. We’ve stayed at this location in the past and had daily services. We should not have to call and schedule the trash to be picked up. We had to ultimately place it outside our room and force the staff to pick it up. We couldn’t even get an extra bottle of shampoo at the front desk or from a housekeeper. We are paying more for this room in 2022 than we did when we stayed in 2016. The quality of service has gone down. Sad because this is a very nice hotel and location. I hope improvements are made. Also the air conditioning unit made an unusual noise all night. Finally we could not check-in to our room until 330. Our reservation was for 3pm. Rooms need to be available as scheduled. We are paying premium prices, so we want premium service and a peaceful stay.

We had a beach front room with balcony, the view was amazing. All the staff was very friendly, breakfast was great, the pool was amazing. My daughter left her earbuds there and when we went back they had them for us.

We stayed 6 nights with our 3 month for my husbands work trip. The staff was SO friendly, and especially the staff at the Tides restaurant. They had plenty of on-hands help, never had to wait long for food/drinks. Having Tides a part of the hotel was a nice touch for those traveling with little ones when it’s tough to go out to eat. We had oceanfront balcony and I wouldn’t have stayed any other way, the view was amazing from 3rd floor and we didn’t want to leave! Close distance to Salt Life restaurant and other restaurants (not really walking distance with stroller). We stayed during Tropical Storm Nicole and the preparations they had in place, made us feel safe. I highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back. (Maybe with our fur babies this time as well!) Thank you to the staff and to Carol at front desk for loving on our baby!

We were there from Wednesday to Sunday. The room was pretty clean minus two random strains of hair in the bed. We had a great view of the pool and ocean. The pool was awesome and the hotel is right on the beach so that was also an added plus. The breakfast was good, we didn't check out the bar and restaurant on the premise. They have 3 elevators but only 2 seemed to work and we were on the 6th floor and realized if we hit up then the second elevator would actually take us down. The staff was pretty friendly. We would definitely stay again!

The hotel is nice. Pool is great. Beach is beautiful. Now the room has a couple small issues that maintenance could easily fix like the towel holder hanging out of the wall. Easy fix that should have done before a new check in. Other than that it is great. We extended our stay so it definitely wasn’t bad.

Our stay at the Hampton was great. The staff were ALL friendly & helpful. The appearance of the hotel was great. Everything was clean & fresh looking. Having the Tiki Bar right there made things so much easier on us. If you go, get the burger, I promise you won't be disappointed!!!

Keys and wallet stolen out of vehicle. While waiting a day for a new key, the front desk manager treated me and my family so well. This place has a great heated pool, beach access and I am not trusting my experience to anyone else around here moving forward. 5 stars. 5 stars. 5 stars.

The pool and hot tub are great. Staff are very professional and made us feel appreciated as a guest. We were greeted by Erik, who was very friendly and helpful. Erik also assisted us when our flight was delayed. We had already checked out, but he invited us to wait on the property. He made us a key so we could walk on the beach. It's great to know that good service still exists. Thank you Erik!

  • 4/5 Doug R. 9 months ago on Google
The service and location were great. The ocean view is phenomenal. The free breakfast was good. The restaurant on site was good, we ate there for lunch and dinner. You are able to walk right out onto the beach from the hotel, which is nice. The pool had some mulch in it, but you could swim in it. The worst part was the water pressure for our room. We had to flush the toilet more than once. And you know how bad the water pressure is in your room if the shower coming off the beach outside has better pressure than the shower in your room. And after paying what we did, they didn't need to charge us a $15 self parking fee; that should've been included.

This is our pick for our trips to Mayo Clinic since 2020. We have stayed at this property several times. We have always been well taken care of from Breakfast to our room, beach/pool towels a big plus since I forgot ours for this overnight trip. We absolutely love this property! Last Nighy Steve checked us in, he's thorough and you can tell he loves his job. We had a couple of things just normal wear and tear in the room that went wrong but we told the front desk as we headed out to dinner and everything was fixed by the time we got back. This property is hard to top and we have stayed at 2 other properties in the vicinity. We keep coming back over and over again! If your considering this hotel DO IT you will never regret it!!! We will be back.

While the noisy guest was not the fault of the hotel, my overall experience was not the best. I appreciate the front desk staff moving our room due to the noise. I travel every weekend for business and Hilton brand is usually my first choice. (After this experience it will not be) I love that I have built my status to gold with only a couple of nights to Diamond, however I didn’t feel my status mattered. I booked 2 rooms for myself and family for much needed bonding time. The rooms we were moved to were not the cleanest feeling and that was later confirmed by bugs in both rooms. I took video to confirm and my family didn’t want to stay in the room. I asked for a refund of my points I spent for the one room, I was denied and the front desk just put us in another, unclean feeling room. Later in the evening, I discovered more bugs in my paid room and didn’t even want to sleep under the covers. We left the property feeling unclean and anxious to get home. The property really needs a renovation. The nicest thing going for the hotel is the pool and the beach. I’ve stayed at enough properties to know that this location is below standard. I will continue to book with Hilton with extreme caution, but will never book this hotel again. I’m really disappointed that I spent all of my points for this disaster of an evening. I understand the importance of feedback and reviews for companies to do better. I hope that you all can correct this for future guests, especially those who are loyal to your brand like myself.

The front desk staff was very rude. We had more than one interaction that we were very surprised to find multiple staff members were extremely rude and very unhelpful. The most positive experience we had was with the maintenance engineer who delivered the refrigerator to our room. The pool was dirty and had a significant amount of debris And foreign objects floating in and around it. On the day of our check out the elevators were very busy and we waited for about 15 minutes to be able to get one to go downstairs with our luggage cart. A member of the housekeeping staff came to the elevators about five minutes after we did, and was visibly frustrated and impatient that she was also having to wait for an elevator. When the first one arrived that had enough room to accommodate us, she quickly pushed past us and shoved her laundry cart in and said there was no room for us. We were very surprised and did not have the opportunity to catch her name unfortunately to let the staff know. We stayed at this hotel several times, which is what influenced our choice for this trip, however, we will be choosing another hotel for our future stays I have already booked, a different resort for another stay in the area in two weeks, I would have booked at this location had I had a different experience on this trip.

After reading the reviews that others had posted, I was very hesitant about staying here. We had our family reunion at this location and it was one of the best reunions we've ever had! The rooms were clean and staff were very accommodating. We had the oceanside view and the morning sunrises were awe-inspiring!

Hotel was in a GREAT location with plenty of parking ($15/night). Room was nice and view was amazing. We didn’t get to use the beach access, but it looked easy enough. Breakfast in the morning (free) had plenty of options, but get there early, as it gets crowded. The staff was SUPER friendly and very helpful. Check in and check out we’re a breeze. Only negatives were basic hotel things- hot water and pressure in the shower wasn’t constant and drainage in the sink wasn’t great. Bed was HARD and pillows were like pudding. But the fridge actually kept things cold!!! Would def stay again!

First I want to say the staff there were super friendly and the managers was awesome as well. I am a GM of. A restaurant so no matter what I never complain anywhere I go so I did not bring up anything. But since you asked. We selected the Hampton Inn because of the awesome pool. But there were some things that made it a total bummer. 1. The pool is dirty all the time. There is a sooo much dirt build up on the tiles of the pool that you can't even look at it. 2. There is bugs and wood chips floating in the pool 24/7 I saw 1 guy 1 day skim the pool (while my kids were in it). And even then it wasn't enough. And since I pointed out a problem I will give a suggestion maybe get a couple of those pool vacuums for over night to help with all that. 3. And this one was a little funny. I got woke up my first morning of vacation and told I had to go get a CRAB out of the pool. I was told that Santiago couldn't get it? So I went down begrudgingly and caught the stone crab. (I have a pic if you want). 4. I WAS CHARGED 15 DOLLARS A DAY TO PARK MY OWN CAR?! That's ridiculous and I feel robbed and would like to dispute this. If it was a valet I could understand that but this is just low rent slum Lord stuff 5. The price of my room dropped by 40 dollars a day before I even checked in and I was told that I could call and cancel my reservation and try to rebook but I would not be guaranteed a room and may have to find another place. That is a disgusting policy. I could have chose anywhere but I chose you because of the pool and it was not worth the extra money I could have stayed at Margaritaville for that price and had just as much fun. Your staff is amazing though and I feel like this is the wrong appreciative feed back but I do not think I will be back because no one ever reads these or does anything to make things right.

Best Mothers Day Ever 2023! Decided last minute to book a night for Mother’s Day to enjoy the beach and the pool- and I’m SO glad we did! We had the best time enjoying the beach with family and friends - then swimming at the grotto pool and having lunch outside at the restaurant- they literally have everything! Beach ✔️pool ✔️ drinks/food✔️ ocean views ✔️ live music ✔️ free breakfast ✔️ Rooms were clean with Great views and one issue with check in and parking passes BUT Robert the manager came out of nowhere and fixed the issue IMMEDIATELY! Gotta love a manager that steps up when needed! Five stars! Will be back!!!

From the start, it was apparent that all this hotel staff wanted was for the guests to have fun! There were toys and balls at the pool for kids and adults. The rooms were bright and comfortable, although a soft chair would have added a lot. The pool is gorgeous. The tiki bar/grill was inviting and delicious. I will definitely be back to try more of Jacksonville's restaurants and spend hours at the pool.

We loved our stay at this hotel! It’s right on the beach with an amazing pool and hot tub. Very clean with spacious rooms. Hotel staff was fantastic and the free breakfast was great as well. Looking forward to visiting this location again soon!

Great from start to finish! This hotel has kept up the niceties that you would get at a 5 star hotel! They seem to try to out-do each other (the staff) to make sure you’re comfortable and happy! The amenities are great, the closeness to the beach is great and they are keeping up the facilities (the room was immaculate) and surroundings very well. We’ve stayed here before and considered it our little secret how nice it was… but, anyone going to Jax Beach will enjoy this hotel.

This is my go-to hotel in Jacksonville Beach and I've been going here for years. The rooms are always clean and comfortable and I highly recommend getting a room with an ocean view so you can watch the sunrise. The hotel provides easy beach access and even has a bar with delicious food and drinks. Absolutely loved spending time relaxing in the hot tub or taking a dip in the pool. Plus the free breakfast is an added bonus. I will always give this hotel 5 stars!

This is a great hotel and staff was very friendly and helpful. The tiki bar was great and the food was amazing. Breakfast was always good. The beds(mattress) in most of my group’s rooms were SUPER HARD and very noisy. Bathrooms need upgrading. Rooms were very clean and fresh towels always available. However, I will be staying again.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful in a picture. Perfect location on the beach! The reception staff treated us as important guests. Every person we met was very nice. I absolutely love the balcony room overlooking the ocean. The beach was beautiful. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
