I guess it depends what you're looking for. My daughter and I ate at the Fox then browsed through some antique shops afterwards. Cute part of town. Parking is a bit hard to find some days.

Excellent shopping and dining area. Upscale restaurants that are wonderful. It does take a long time to park and it is pricey but even with that I am satisfied the quality is worth the patience of waiting for a space and the cost.

I love walking my dog through here!! Between the old shoppers feel, the new look of some stores, and the diverse bustling of people, it fulfills my people watching need every time :) 10/10

A bit bouji, my kids love the toy stores, the home goods stores have woefully ridiculous overpricing, the restaurants are top notch! Bring a white friend with you, unless you want to be followed and profiled by a Karen in any of the shops... Parking can be a nightmare so prepare yourself for a lengthy walk from a questionable street parking space, most likely blocks away from your destination...

This is the cutest street to walk around! Each of the side streets lead to the river and the houses are so historic and unique. Parking can be tricky and there’s no bathrooms but the shops are cute, there’s lots of lights for Christmas, and great food options!

I really enjoy the aesthetics of the large trees coming through on my bike but it is somewhat erratic with people who are just acclimating to driving & parking their luxury vehicles on the main strip before making their way back to Ortega in the fantastic adult obstacle course known as the St. Johns/Herschel intersection, where there is a lovely flower shop.

Very casual but also trendy. There is a great park there with lots of picnic tables and various things for children to play on. I visited Hope Jewelry and was very pleased with the service I received. My entire time in the Avondale area was relaxing I Will definitely recommend my friends to visit.

Really neat shopping area. Best to go during any holiday season. Shops are really festive. Nice mix of shops from the familiar to one of a kind. Boutiques and restaurants mixed together. Parking is limited.

For all of the people complaining about parking - if a bunch of buildings were destroyed to add more parking, it would ruin the very things about this area that people love and draws them here. Just park a couple of blocks away and walk

This is a very cute area that is easy to walk. The shops are classy and there are several nice places for a non-shopper to sit (Mellow Mushroom and Southern Grounds). The only inconvenience is there are no public restrooms. Beautiful streets too!

Spent 4 hours here! This place is set up beautifully for an antique shop. Plus the cafe inside is amazing. The blueberry tea is amazing!

I was born & raised in the heart of Avondale and I can't think of a more better place ta grow up . It's a meltin pot of sorts where everyone does their own thing , yet still part of the community where everyone looks out for each other , and that is Very hard ta find in this Day & Time . Riverside is Beautiful and filled with so many Wonderful memories for Me . I'd recommend to anyone lookin for a Great place ta lay down roots , this is One place Yull Love from Start ta Finish

This is always a blast from the past, but with modern flair. It's kind cool to visit and take in the atmosphere. You have a lot of choices of food. Most of it is casual. I don't know why but this place always reminds me of the town center in Back to the Future. Just missing the pond in the center.

We ate at the Brick and sat outside. Parking wasn't a problem at 11:00 am. Weather and service was outstanding.

It's a great little gem in Avondale with plenty of shops and restaurants. Note a lot of the stores are not open on Sunday. So it's best from Monday to Saturday. Parking on street or in the neighborhood.

Nice area....if you are visiting the area, this is Jacksonville's French area of town, Avondale has like a Euro/French vibe to it. Open market cafés, people walking their small pets, bicyclists....couples holding hands.....just a fun hidden area of Jax. 😀

👍👍 Stopped by the Target here and then headed straight for the Bucks of the Star (Starbucks) We wanted to try beverages that they don't normally make but the barristas were more than helpful and made our BABY YODA AND BETTY WHITE FRAP!! PLEASENLY SUPRISED DELICIOUS 😋!!!!
