Maggiano's
proves
itself
to
be
more
than
a
one
hit
wonder.
This
is
my
second
time
visiting
the
Italian-champion-of-Jacksonville
that
is
Maggiano's,
and
it
did
not
disappoint.
This
time
my
wife
and
I
chose
to
eat
at
the
bar
instead
of
the
general
seating
area
for
a
change
of
pace.
We
started
the
night
off
with
a
familiar
appetizer
that
we'd
gotten
on
our
last
trip
to
Maggiano's
Italy,
the
cheese
sticks.
Quality
control
can
be
a
challenge
for
some
restaurants
which
can
result
in
wildly
different
experiences
even
on
the
same
dish
from
night
to
night,
but
we
were
delighted
to
find
the
known
dish
to
be
just
as
great
as
we
remembered.
Our
main
courses
were
a
new
choice
for
both
of
us.
I
went
with
the
Taylor's
Street
Baked
Ziti,
and
my
wife
went
with
the
Gnocchi.
I
was
extremely
pleased
with
the
baked
ziti,
it
was
flavorful,
had
just
the
right
amount
of
meat
in
it,
and
the
pasta
was
perfectly
cooked.
My
wife's
gnocchi
was
exactly
what
she'd
been
craving
and
really
scratched
the
Italian
itch
she'd
been
trying
to
scratch.
The
dinner
portions
are
quite
large,
so
we
both
were
only
able
to
finish
half
of
our
meals.
I'm
happy
to
report
though,
that
the
baked
ziti
reheats
very
well
and
is
just
as
tasty
on
day
2
as
it
was
on
day
1.
We
topped
off
our
night
with
some
chocolate
cake,
which
we
took
to
go
as
a
dessert
for
later.
The
only
negative
thing
I
can
say
about
Maggiano's
is
that
the
food
tasted
so
good,
my
wife
and
I
find
it
easy
to
overeat,
but
that's
more
of
a
personal
problem
than
a
Maggiano's
problem,
hehe.
I
can't
wait
to
visit
again
and
continue
our
exploration
of
the
great
Italian
cuisine
Maggiano's
has
to
offer.
