So many people recommended this place, so we were really excited to try. Would not go back. The only good thing we ordered was the queso. The tacos were dry and flavorless and honestly so bad we couldn’t even finish them, just left them behind. The rice and Mexican street corn sides were also bland and not worth it, so left those behind as well. Do not recommend if you are used to eating quality Mexican food.

TacoLu is located near the beaches. They offer a wide range of Tequila and Tacos. They also offer vegan/vegetarian options. The tacos with the scallops are amazing. The scallops were perfectly seared and definitely the star of this dish. The Bang Bang shrimp taco was also quite delicious(it's a tad spicy). The Elote corn was just mediocre. I am not a fan of Tequila but the TacoLu Margarita was my favorite. The Blackberry Margarita was nice also. The customer service was professional, and the free Valet parking is very accommodating. It was the same temperature inside as it was outside. So you may want to dress comfortable. I will be back to try more tacos and more Tequila.

This place was the best.. as tequila lovers we had a blast. Codi and Benny were great at suggesting new tequilas for is to try.. and the food was great. I wish I had known about this place a day sooner! It's gets busy very fast so get here early. We like to sit at the bar and by 11 the bar was packed

I went on a Friday around 6pm and was able to find a parking spot and did not need to wait for a table. The tacos were amazing and the jalapeno margarita was an instant favorite. Service was extremely fast, and the atmosphere was great. I highly recommend trying it out!

Perfect taco Tuesday spot for this vegan. and a couple omni friends! The wilted spinach taco (w/o cheese) was perfection. Avocado taco was tasty, but Spinach wins this round. The grape salsa salad . . . refreshing!! They make a damn good margarita too! Super chill and efficient service. And for such a big place, the ambiance is cozy.

Loved TacoLu in Jacksonville. It was pretty busy when we went, but we were seated relatively quick. The food was delicious and their menu was extensive. They have so many plant based offerings! The bar drinks were amazing too. We had the tequila old fashioned and the cucumber margarita.

Worst Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been too. We sat down and the server talked as if he didn’t really know the menu and told us they had a bar and coke products. I asked if they had Fanta and he said no. Asked if they had strawberry daiquiris or pina coladas, no. Asked for a cherry coke and he said they didn’t have that. Asked if he could just put grenadine in the coke, he said he can’t do that. I ordered my food and we got it within 5 minutes, it was cold and obviously made awhile ago since the melted cheese was hard and the bread was soggy and stale. I didn’t even eat half of it, it was very bland and gross. I gave the place the benefit of the doubt and ordered churros for desert thinking maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. And the churros were also cold, and plain fried bread with a watered down runny chocolate sauce that tasted like straight coco powder. Not to mention the limited spaces and half of the parking spots are blocked off with cones so you have to use valet and have someone park your car into the parking lot instead of just doing it yourself. Don’t go here. It’s gross. And there’s a burrito place that’s a lot better quality service, and better quality food. And you can park there yourself without having to tip people to do it. Taco Bell has better food then this restaurant.

Decided to try this place because of the high number of reviews on Google. You will need to wait to get in, roughly 30 minutes. The food wasn’t what I expected. The meats are pretty dry and not much taste in it. You will have to put hot sauce to complement it. Drinks wise, nothing special. You will not regret it if you pick other place to eat.

Great first experience with a few friends. Nice mex restaurant history with good food. Always wanted to try this place. Looked busy at first, but they had plenty of parking & free Valet parking. As you walk in they have the hostesses. Left bar, straight and to the right are the seats. Nice interesting decor. Little bit lively but can still hear yourself talk. The clean tables looked cool that had charms in them. Front to back paper menus. Lots of options to choose from. They have gluten free, protien & vegan options. They bring out waters to start out with which I loved esp after we just went for a run. Had chips and spicy salsa were complimentary. Guac with pipitas(pumpkin seeds) were so good. Friends recommended Bangin' shrimp so I got that & side of street corn. Light but delicous flavors. Hubby had chicken, shrimp, mahi mahi tacos. To him the chicken was ok. The shrimp and fish was great. Everything looked so fresh. 4 tacos, side of mex street corn $21. Depends on what you get but worth the price. Very decent. Def come here agian and try their desserts. Would reccomend to family & friends. Family friendly. However I did not see a kids menu. They do have Happy hours on drinks. They do have catering. They did have qr codes at the end of the tables but not sure what they were for.

I have enjoyed TacoLu for many many years, but I must admit today was extra special. Carlin suggested the special today which was the catch of the day which happened to be Redfish with pineapple salsa. Next to the Filet with Blue Cheese crumbles, it was the best Taco I have ever had in my life. Excellent suggestion Great service Lots of smiles and easy parking today. I wish they would make today’s special a regular item😎🤞

Atmosphere is adorable, comfortable, and spacious. The server was very attentive and helpful for recommendations. However, the food wasn't that great; mediocre. Tea was watery. Great place to hang out, though.

This place is consistently amazing. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the tequila selection is amazing, and the food is delicious. There’s usually valet, so parking not an issue and the ambiance is fun and casual. It’s in an old building that has tons of character, but the bar and outdoor options are my favorite. If your at the beach TacoLu is a must!

Absolutely my favorite restaurant! Any time I am in Jax I come here. I live 3 hours away and sport the sticker on my car! Food is cheap but delicious and high quality. Atmosphere and aesthetic is beautiful. Great service. Amazing buisness.

One of our favorite spots in Jacksonville!! Great food and reasonably priced. Love the atmosphere and the majority of the time we’ve experienced good customer service. LOVE the salsa!!! They do have decent parking, and have valet as well

Just WOW! I have never had anything like the Street Corn Nachos! BEYOND incredible! It is so filling yet you can't help but eat till you hurt and still try to eat more! A MUST HAVE! Also Shrimp Tacos for the win.

Really great tacos and margaritas! Happy hour runs 2-7 most days but check the website to be sure. Ben, our server, was courteous, informative, and there whenever we needed anything. The TacoLu margarita is fantastic, fresh and very tasty! The salsa and chips at arrival are very tasty, too. Our party had the Banging Shrimp taco, a $10 taco, the Carnitas taco, and the Enchiladas Rosa - Superb! The queso fundido with chorizo was good, but thicker and cheesier than we expected; not a bad thing. Mexican street corn should not be missed! Overall, very positive experience! Valet parking is available and worth it when they're busy. Definitely will be back! Sorry we didn't post more photos as we dived right in - ha!

A restaurant so good it makes me not want to return back home. (I'm from Oklahoma.) I personally had the Carne Asada, Black & Blue, and Pork Verde. The Carne Asade meat was the best meat I have ever had, but gosh dis that Black & Blue just pair together so well. And that Mexican Street Corn was do good, I bought a second appetizer portion to go so I could eat it before my flight the next morning. Someone at the airport recommended it and we didn't remember till the last second. Hands down my new favorite in Jacksonville (that's not seafood).

The food was very delicious, specially the tacos. I loved the too with scallop, you don't get it anywhere else. The reason I am give 4 star is cuz we didn't have a good service. We waited about 10 minutes before anyone come to serve us, after dishes came, se are missing one order of taco, I waited about 10min again. Server never came by, so I had to go look for him all around the restaurant. Anyway, I still recommend their taco.

Place is extremely busy but they somehow sat us down in 6 minutes. The waiter was friendly and the food was great. My only knock is they should advise how big one order of churros is. I say this because it's enough to feed a table and I mistakenly ordered 3 for 3 people. However that's not enough of a gripe to knock off a star so keep up the good service and food!

Jadyn was super friendly, professional and attentive, the guac was delicious and the tempeh was literally the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot! 😄 Also if you like grapes get the grape salsa salad - so refreshing and yummy with a pretty perfect dressing! Two sides of black beans were absolutely perfect - great flavor and fiber to put the shining star on an epic meal with my brother and pop! YUM - we will be back soon for more of this scrumptious healthful fare! 💚🌱🤗 Awesome environment

Our food and waitress was awesome. I forgot her name(maybe start with a K) but she recommended bangin shrimp and The $10 taco. Our absolute favorite dessert was the sopapillas!! Wish we lived closer cause I would definitely make TacoLu my favorite taco spot to eat at on a regular.

Great food, been here twice and will keep returning. Stopped in each time on a work trip, great prices and great service. Staff was very helpful with suggestions on food and tequila with the best options and pairing. Highly recommend the "$10" taco!

We stopped by TacoLu and had a great time. They have an extensive selection of tacos to choose from. They also have a great selection of tequilas. If you don't like it spin, the wheel. Our server was welcoming and suggested a few menu items which were delicious. We will be stopping by again to enjoy other tacos. Yummy.
