What a little hidden gem/ small local joint. Came here after reading nothing but great things and it far exceeded expectations. Friendly and fast service! The food was beyond good. Had a couple of different ceviches which were prepared perfectly. Had the pork belly pasta and it was out of this world. Decent wine selection, and delicious cappuccinos. When back in this area I will make sure to return here. Make a reservation here you don’t regret it. This would be a great date night spot as the ambiance is really nice.

This was our second time going after we found it two years ago and were amazing by the food! This year the good was still delicious and full of great flavors but things are tapered off a bit. I had the river fish wrapped in banana leaf and it was really fishy and had horrible bad taste, I could not eat it. The ceviche was served with the pickling sauce separate from the fish, then once it's at the table you put in the pickling juice yourself. This does not allow for enough time for the pickling to do its trick. I mean it's a app that you're ready to eat but it's not ready. Other than that the fish was fresh and flavorful. Lamp chops had great spices and cooked perfectly. The services was great and on spot. Always like it when service is 100%. Tables are limited and so is parking. I HIGHLY recommend you make reservations or else you're not getting in. We had to make them a month in advance. Would I go here again? YES!!!

Outstanding! Some of the best food and service I've had the pleasure of experiencing since I moved to Florida. Tiny restaurant with absolutely amazing food and creative presentation. Top notch service without being stuffy. Highly recommended! NOTE: This restaurant is tiny; reservations are a must! It is not well suited for large groups and that's a good thing! Also, if you have mobility issues, be aware the bathrooms are in the back and require you to leave the restaurant to access them.

Prepare for the most unique Peruvian dining experience you’ve had yet. Every dish has been meticulously designed and crafted from decades of family cooking. Make a reservation asap because life is short and an experience like this is worth every cent. As a food photographer, here are some of my recent photos from Llama. It all tastes even better than it looks. It’s more than a restaurant - Llama is an experience. Adventure awaits.

This was one of the best top-3 dining experiences I have had in my life. The service is excellent, almost choreographed, and every dish is unique and very well balanced. Presentation got an A++. We came in for my birthday and we are so happy that we chose this experience. Somehow we landed a reservation opening the same day on a Saturday. I recommend getting a reservation and not doing walk-in, there are only 8 or so tables and it's popular. The icing on the cake was reading afterwards all the non-sense 1 star reviews and seeing Marcels' (the owner and Chef) witty responses. Marcel has a special establishment going on so all of you that disrespect his hard work by rating terribly without even trying it, should be ashamed of yourselves. For the love of God, it's not hard to make a reservation. You shouldn't be able to even leave a review without actually having dined at the establishment. Exclusivity due to being popular and having a small dining room is not a reason to leave a bad review. Anyway, we look forward to our next visit when we get a chance to come back to Saint Augustine.

Llama Restaurant is a tiny little place that you wouldn’t think too much of, but the second you start getting your food, you are IMMEDIATELY blown away! This restaurant is awesome! It serves high-end Peruvian food that I’ve not seen replicated anywhere else. They take taste, as well as presentation, to the next level. Do be warned it is a small restaurant so it will be pretty loud, especially the later you get there at night. However, you’ll be so absorbed with your food, you won’t even realize what’s going on around you. One nice touch - I loved the Peruvian corn snacks that were immediately brought the second you sat down. The waitress we had was wonderful, everything came out in a reasonable amount of time, and all the different food items, drinks, and desserts we tried were awesome. Super fresh and flavorful! You really can’t go wrong here, so try a bunch of stuff and explore the best Peruvian cuisine has to offer!

While we enjoyed our visit to Llama I think our experience could have been much better. We felt that the appetizer (Ceviche) was a missed opportunity and left us somewhat disappointed. Especially at $17. Maybe it was the size or maybe it was our expectation, regardless which one it wouldn't be something we would pick again. As a main dish we picked Surf and Turf. Much better but for $48 I would like to see more protein. I would even ask for lobster instead of shrimp, even though it was very good. I do want to say that Lisa was awesome. Very nice and helpful. She is what most people should strive for in hospitality industry. Job well done Lisa.

Hands down the best dining experience in St Augustine. I brought a friend who was visiting from out of town and they were floored by everything. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food is top tier. The only thing I’d ask is for more vegan friendly items on the menu, but I can’t knock a star for that. They did an amazing job accommodating me. Thank you for a great experience!

My husband and I just visited The Llama Restaurant while on our babymoon and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The quiet and cozy ambiance, combined with the impeccable service. The attentive staff members especially our server Alex were knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing their love for Peruvian cuisine. They provided excellent recommendations, answered our questions with enthusiasm, and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. It was an unforgettable meal! If you find yourself in St Augustine, do not miss the opportunity to embark on a culinary journey at Llama Restaurant. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a taste of authentic Peruvian flavors and something new and exciting!

One of the best restaurants we have ever been to by far. Wonderful flavorful dishes with such unique flavors. Service was excellent. Wish they were closer to our home. Treat yourself and go but be sure to get a reservation as the restaurant is small. They had several gluten free dishes as well.

One of the BEST meals we’ve ever had! We recently realized how amazing Peruvian food is and wanted to try this place while we were visiting St. Augustine. It did not disappoint! Everything from the service, the drinks, the food, the plating, the design, and especially the desserts, were amazing! I can easily say this meal was one of the highlights of our trip. If you are visiting St. Augustine, make sure to add this to your list of places to eat. We will certainly come back to St. Augustine just to eat here again! Great job, Llama Restaurant!

We had an amazing dinner. You can tell that the chef puts a lot of thought into the food and presentation. I was admittedly a little unsure about some of the menu items but we were blown away by everything we ate. We went with another couple so we all tried everything (3 apps, 4 meals and 2 desserts) Don’t hesitate, this is a must do restaurant. Our pictures don’t do the presentation justice.

The service was amazing. Top notch. We ran into someone at a brewery later on in our trip and they said oh Peruvian food shouldn’t be that expensive! And I quickly told them it was worth every penny. Besides, going to a restaurant should be more than that. And this place is! The inside is tiny, but cozy and nicely furnished. The mango mimosa I had was to die for. Several waitstaff waited on us and you could tell they liked working here. Attention to detail was great. The ceviche to start was the right choice. Food was presented well and tasted amazing. DO NOT skimp on dessert. My favorite was that custard. I’ll be dreaming of it. Highly recommend.

One of the best meals I have had in a long time! The food was absolutely amazing and you can see how much heart and thought goes into each dish. The restaurant is very small, but makes you feel like you are enjoying a meal with family. Not a big busy place. We brought our 2 year old and the staff was so accommodating. So reasonably priced for the quality of food and care that goes into each plate. We got the octopus, (most tender I have ever eaten), a cheviche, and my husband got the lamb. Wonderful food and night!

Hands down the best fine dinning experience I've ever had. Everything we ordered was exceptional well done. The flavors were interesting and well balanced. The wait staff were knowledgeable and made wonderful recommendations.

Our first time here for our anniversary, and had the best experience anyone could ask for. From quality of service to small details of changing the silver ware before each course. THE FOOD IS EVERYTHING, DELICIOUS, ARTISTIC, INTERACTIVE.We will be back again. Reservations only. Also my husband has celiac and they have plenty of gluten free options and will adjust the plate as needed for the person.

Best Peruvian food I've had outside of Peru itself! Need I say more? The service is absolutely incredible as well. Just an FYI: The place is very small so reservations are a must! Worth it!

Wow so glad I came back and got to try Llama Restaurant after almost a year of visiting St. Augustine. Such a beautiful experience from start to finish. Brough my friends I was visiting for their first time and each step from drinks to apps to entrees felt like a movie. Beautiful ceviche and rack of lambs. The host and those who helped bring our food and dessert were so kind. Such a cool restroom. Really an all around Peruvian experience. Lit by the sun and some dim lights with smooth music to fill the atmosphere with reunions and specialties. Love this place and hope I can make it an annual visit to try all the foods it makes. Love it so much. Thank you Llama and right before my bday.

The most unique and arguably the best Peruvian restaurant in NE Florida. Certainly not traditionally prepared, but delicious twists on traditional dishes satisfied both Peruvians seeking nostalgia from the flavors and the rest of us! It’s a bit pricey, but we’ll worth it - you get what you pay for, in a good way! Can’t wait to go back and try everything we didn’t get to on our first visit!

This place is absolutely incredible. My husband & I love fresh creative food & Llama goes above & beyond. The flavors are an explosion of deliciousness! The service is some of the best we’ve ever had at a restaurant ever. This dinner was the highlight of our visit to St. Augustine!

Certainly one of my top five dining experiences anywhere in the world. This tiny establishment in St. Augustine is creating world-class dishes through a waitstaff that is truly dedicated to a premium experience. Everything was done well and every bite we took was amazing!

Such an amazing little gem. Very intimate setting with an incredibly attentive staff. The entire front staff were phenomenal. The food blew away expectations. The aromatics that accompanied two of our selections added another level to the experience. We had the beef heart app, the grouper and surf and turf entrees and the sacred valley dessert. Drinks were great as well. Cannot wait to come back!

What an INCREDIBLE experience!!! Our first visit to Llama Restaurant, and it was nothing short of AMAZING!! We were waited on and attended to by at least 4 different servers, each helping each other to provide us with an unforgettable experience. As vegans and occasional vegetarians when traveling, Llama restaurants menu is perfect! My hubby, being Peruvian was just as impressed! We ordered the traditional Papa la huancaina, Veggie Saltado and Vegan Ceviche….and these plates did NOT disappoint! Absolutely DELICIOUS, elegant and worth every penny. The owner came to check on us as well. We are blown away by how tasty the food was, the perfect service and the drinks and dessert delighted the senses! We will definitely return when we visit again to St. Augustine!

Top notch foodie experience of Peruvian cuisine. We started off with appetizers YUCAS HUANCAINA and CEVICHE NIKKE. As a vegetarian I only had the yucas which was very good. My wife and another couple had the Ceviche as well as the yucas. They enjoyed both. The only negative was the really small portions - 5 pieces of yuca and a tiny portion of ceviche. The entrees were happily well portioned and I was filled up adequately. They have vegetation soltado (as well as Lomo) and it was delicious as well as filling. A mix of onions, mushrooms, potatoes and peppers stir fried with tasty spices added with garlic jasmine rice made this meal a winner! My wife had the Amazonian arapaima which she really liked. We were full after the entrees but decided to try the Alfajores affogato which is shortbread cookies, ice cream and a shot of expresso - delicious! The expresso really added to the overall taste experience as I have had alfajores previous but never with coffee. The service was excellent with and the waiter gave us little shot glasses with some sort of very tasty, creamy citris liqueur to clean our palate before the main course. All in all it was a very pleasurable experience. Llama is a little pricey but I believe worth the experience.

This is one of the most amazing restaurants that I have ever been to. Everything was simply delightful. My husband and I enjoyed the ceviche nikkei. It was the most amazing ceviche. I loved the citrus and salmon together. My entree was the chupe de camarones. The flavor of this was incredible! It was one of the best seafood dishes of my life. It didn't need the rice on the side at all. Hubby had the seco de res and he preferred my dish over his! That's how phenomenal it was. For dessert my husband chose alfajores affogato. I didn't like this one at all. It would have been much better without the espresso on top. Although I have had their custard with spun sugar on top before and that was delightful. The drinks weren't as good this time when we dined. They definitely seemed more sugar filled than flavorful. Lastly the service is always wonderful. I love coming to this restaurant. It is one of a kind.
