I
had
heard
good
things
about
Town
Hall
so
I
called
to
book
a
reservation.
When
I
called,
they
did
tell
me
the
main
dining
room
was
booked
for
an
event
and
that
they
had
seating
in
the
bar,
which
was
fine.
What
they
didn't
tell
me,
and
what
we
learned
when
we
were
seated
is
that
we
couldn't
order
food...we
had
to
wait
about
20-30
minutes
before
they
were
able
to
take
food
orders.
The
bartender/server
did
grab
us
some
bread
to
snack
on
while
we
waited
and
had
some
drinks.
When
we
were
finally
able
to
order
we
had
quite
an
appetite
so
we
started
with
the
brussel
sprouts,
grilled
octopus,
and
a
spring
salad.
We
really
enjoyed
the
brussel
sprouts.
They
had
big,
bold
flavors
due
to
being
cooked
well
done
which
brought
out
the
nuttiness
of
them
and
played
well
with
the
sweet
and
sour
glaze
and
tangy
blue
cheese.
Comparatively,
the
grilled
octopus
was
really
bland
and
lacking
salt
and
seasoning.
The
cook
on
the
octopus
itself
was
perfect
but
the
lack
of
seasoning
and
odd
pairing
of
Ricotta
just
didn't
work.
The
spring
greens
salad
was
surprisingly
tasty,
the
croutons
were
well
seasoned
and
actually
made
the
dish
as
the
dressing
was
pretty
one-note
and
lacking
in
any
well
defined
flavor.
For
dinner
I
ordered
the
duck
breast
and
my
wife
opted
for
the
fish
of
the
day
which
was
flounder.
The
duck
was
good,
though
a
bit
over
cooked...it
definitely
wasn't
the
medium
rare
that
our
server
asked
if
I
was
fine
with
how
it
is
served.
I
made
the
mistake
of
not
swapping
the
brussel
sprouts
that
came
with
the
dish
for
something
else,
but
since
that's
how
it
is
supposed
to
be
served
it
is
fair
for
me
to
make
an
observation.
The
big
flavor
of
the
brussel
sprouts
overpowers
everything,
including
the
duck,
and
is
pretty
much
all
I
could
taste
unless
I
ate
the
components
separately.
My
wife's
flounder
looked
nice,
but
in
the
process
of
getting
the
nice
sear
in
the
fish
they
dried
it
out.
The
romesco
helped
add
back
some
moisture
to
the
fish
but
it
wasn't
enough
to
counteract
the
desiccated
flounder.
To
finish
the
meal
we
opted
for
the
cheese
and
meat
appetizer,
since
we
weren't
in
the
mood
for
something
too
sweet.
We
really
enjoyed
the
thinly
sliced
meats
and
the
cheeses...but
we
had
overindulged
so
we
wound
up
taking
most
of
that
home
to
eat
later.
Overall,
this
seems
like
a
decent
place
for
drinks
and
appetizers
but
maybe
not
for
main
dishes.
I'm
not
sure
if
this
was
a
one-off
bad
night
but
I
probably
won't
be
back
and
it
definitely
wasn't
worthy
of
the
buzz.
