This is certainly a 5 star BBQ restaurant worthy of awards for consistency in quality of products and customer service. The management of this restaurant does an OUTSTANDING job of hiring front of house staff and I’ve not met the back of house staff but i can promise the challenges to maintain consistent taste and quality is not easy. This restaurant staff deserves a special award.

This was our first time here. When we entered, it was dark inside, did not look like this place was open, 2 tables and a few people scattered at the bar. We thought this was odd considering it was almost 6:00 pm on a Thursday! They have happy hour every day from 4-7 pm. Their craft cocktails are $8. We both got one. They both were filled to the top with lots of ice and hardly any booze. However, they did taste good but left us with no buzz (sad). I can’t imagine paying full menu price for these drinks and not getting somewhat buzzed. We got the wings (8 for $13) which were smoked well and were delicious. We also got the famous onion rings ($10.50) which were delicious! We got a 2 meat sampler ($20) and were disappointed with the meats and the portions. The smoked turkey had no flavor and seemed to be something you’d get presliced from a deli. The brisket also had no flavor- none at all. We got mac and cheese which was good and the collard greens which was good. The toast that was served was tasteless and had no butter. When we were getting ready to leave a new table had come in and went to order. Their waitress offered them a half size onion ring or a full size (we did not get offered that option) and they also were offered toast or cornbread (which we did not get offered). All in all, the appetizers were good but everything else fell short. Could not say itd be worth coming back a second time. Take care!

So, I have ate a lot of barbecue in my life but needless to say this is in my top 3 so far and I have traveled a lot and will continually doing so. I will definitely revisit when in town and recommend everyone nearby does the same! Chad was our waiter tonight and he was professional, funny and didn't rush us but instead he told us to take even more time to decide. Thanks Chad hopefully we visit again soon.

They have every kind of whiskey you would want. I had a Margarita in honor of Jimmy Buffett’s passing. I nibbled on the fired pickles and Brunswick stew. All very good. The smell of BBQ is amazing inside!

Love the nachos. Amazing top 5 nachos I’ve had in the city of Jax burger was a solid 3.5 out of 5!! Definitely coming back for the nachos. P.s. I added brisket for a $4 up charge!

This place is amazing!!! A must try if you're around!! The Burnt Ends on the appetizer menu is what the one of the pictures is and oh my gosh.. the flavor is unbeatable!! The seasoning is so delicious, they melt in your mouth. You have too see Tiffany the waitress. Very bubbly personality and just an all around awesome person!! I wish I had my smoker back just to cook this stuff!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

This place has very tasty food and pretty good customer service…. but the last few times I’ve ordered “the whole hawg” they have been very skimp on the meats they give us and it use to not be like that. If I’m paying $50 for a platter then that’s what I want. Not two pieces of each meat. Other than that I would say try here.

This place has gone down hill. I've been coming here for years and I'm not sure why the quality of the food is so poor now days. We paid $15 for burnt ends. It might have been worth it if they were as good as they used to be but it's too much for a handful of incredibly dry chunks of jerky. The service is always good thankfully, but the prices aren't anywhere near worth the quality. Mojo's used to be my go to BBQ joint but I don't think I'll ever be back.

Honestly, some of the best BBQ around, hands down. Their wings are top two in the city. Easy. Their meats are spectacular and served how you like them: delicious and hot. Want you brisket lean? No problem. Wet? Of course! And the sides are just perfect. No drowning Cole slaw, no flavorless beans, no overcooked greens. And the Texas chili is hot and perfect when we happen to have cooler days in Jax. Never disappointed when I eat here but always left wondering what took me so long to come back! Enjoy!

Food was good and the atmosphere was great. Two adults and two children were seated almost immediately and the kids provided crayons and coloring/activity sheets. Food was great and our server fantastic and helpful with recommendations. The bar was a little slow but the drinks were good and worth a short wait.

Been here twice now and definitely worth the trip. Excellent selection of bourbons if you're into that sort of thing and their BBQ is amazing! Servers are all super friendly and they go out of their way to make sure that your needs are met.

You need to try their famous onion rings! Huge bee- battered onion rings coated in something that is amazing, large portion so I was half-full with the appetizer but I felt compelled to eat then all (I couldn't, so I bought some home). Great barbeque place, nice atmosphere and friendly service. Their babyback ribs were perfectly cooked, tender without being destructed to the touch. Plenty flavourful and nice portions. The only thing I was not excited about was the croutons on their salad, they were a bit soft/chewy.. still I not disappointed enough to lower any stars. Great service as well!

I called Tuesday for Saturday for a Birthday party with 9 adults and 1 child and let me say Ariel our server did not disappoint us, she was great her personality was awesome and her skills were on point she knew where food went and didn't have to auction it off at the table, It went where it belonged. Drinks were there without asking and the food was hot and delicious totally on point. This location is always good but tonight y'all turned a 51 yr old grumpy man happy. LOL It was so good Than you! only one thing MAKE ALABAMA SAUCE!!!!

Best BBQ in Jacksonville hands down. Black eyed peas are good and different. Burnt Ends are basically a dessert here. Cool atmosphere at this place as well, fits in well with the area. I don’t recommend doing take out during regular times because the food is better fresh at the restaurant and parking in this Avondale shopping area can be hard to find.

Great BBQ here but there's more than BBQ! Other great menu items as well. Great service! Parking is limited and the locals are a little stuffy but worth the food for sure! Try the Sloppy Mojo, or the Shrimp & Grits!

We absolutely loved this place! We honestly didn’t get past appetizers because we ordered the burnt ends (the best I’ve ever had), the pulled pork quesadilla (Why hasn’t someone thought of this sooner?), and the bbq chicken nachos. We couldn’t stop eating it all, so we took home two bowls of Brunswick stew and a turkey sandwich. Parking is not easy, so prepare yourself not to get frustrated. Otherwise, prepare yourself for a world class experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The place was nice a little dark lighting was the food was excellent and came super fast. The music was up a little loud. Also the disco fries were 100 percent on point. They weren't busy upon my visit so I'm not sure if it's any different on a busy day but food wise I love it.

I ordered on Doordash and I personally had to come on Google just to leave a review about how amazing this food was, is and yes baby will! When I mean the sweet potato mash was hittin, the Mac n. Cheese and burnt ends were just magnificent (Italian voice)….Honey I’m about to be in a Food coma!

Too slow in the service part of the meal. The ribs were good but not great. The food was luke warm. The beans were ok. Mashed potatoes and gravy were just ok. I'm still looking for that 5 star barbeque restaurant.

First time stopping into Mojo no. 4 BBQ - interior is rustic, yet modern with low lighting and a smokiness that gives the restaurant a lot of character. We ordered our plates (brisket and the other Texas hot links) which both came with sides of Mac and Cheese (AMAZING) and Texas Toast. Food was phenomenal and came out quickly!!! Very filling so no need for an app if just a couple people. Service was friendly and efficient, we were seated as soon as we walked in the door and our server was attentive through the whole meal. Thank y’all for a great 1st visit - we look forward to our next one!

Highly recommended. Super friendly and helpful service. Nice atmosphere. Tasty bbq! Parking isn’t all that fun. But it was well worth it. I’ll definitely have to look into their other restaurants.

This is a fabulous BBQ restaurant. Service was fast and the food was incredibly delicious. So hard to find places like this. Chicken was not dry and the side dishes were made to perfection. Been to this place twice and still blown away by there food. Second time we got our food to go for a picnic and was surprised that the portions and side dishes were not short changed like so many other places do. Highly recommended the chicken, beef brisket and sausage links. The coleslaw and green beans are outstanding as well. DEFINITELY will be returning to this restaurant. Our new favorite spot.

Great food and amazing drinks. This is one of my favorite places for barbecue. The turkey is ama. The pit smoked chicken wings are out of this world. They have the best fries and Mac n cheese around. Come during happy hour for $7 craft cocktails!
