Cool little place. The beer we tried was great and the service was excellent! My wife did a flight and I tried a pint of their coconut porter. The best beer on the flight was their OCD which had hints of vanilla and orange. Tasted almost like a creamsicle! The art on the wall was a nice touch as well. We will be back!

We dropped in one sweltering day, tired, hungry, and thirsty, and were captivated by the discovery of this taproom/bar/hang out place. The selection of brews will satisfy all with good taste. Ancient City is a must stop on our alternately yearly visits to St. Augustine. Our latest stop was in September 2022 and Auston took excellent care of us as we shared two flights and sampled all available. Heck, I would have bought a shirt if one had been available in my size and color. White long sleeve, medium, please. Maybe next time.

This is a small place with big value. The beer is very well done. Their IPA has a lot of hops in it and that's the way an IPA should be as far as I'm concerned. Service is very friendly and tasting before you buy is well accepted. They don't charge like a tourist trap would which is an exception in this part of St Augustine. Highly recommend.

Great vibes, even close to closing time our server was polite and happy to serve! We were just stopping in on a tap room run on our guys weekend out, and definitely enjoyed the experience and great beer! Got some swag before leaving and will be returning again this weekend for some more great beer!

Whenever we make a trip to St Augustine we always make sure to stop by Ancient City. My hubs enjoys the Golden Ale and the Coconut Porter. I tried the Pineapple Cider and it was so good. A couple of times including last night we encountered Dani the bartender who is awesome!!!! It’s a small place, kept pretty clean with a chill vibe.

Great place for drinks in downtown St. Augustine. Bartenders were so friendly and helpful with recommendations! Live music was also great.

Absolutely prime location. That saves the place from becoming a mediocre tappery. Beer is ... average. Selection is ... average. Everything is just ... average. If the objective is to clench the thirst on a hot Augustine's day - Ancient City might be an option. We did it on a couple of the occasions. To the owner's response: "If there's anything we can do to improve your next visit please let us know" - yes, please, review your beer selection and, if unsatisfied, initiate an improvement.

Great place for a tasty pint or two! Dog friendly! Had the brown ale and pumpkin ale, both were great craft brews!

Old dive bar feel🍻😀 10 taps with 2 guest taps. Good variety of styles, good friendly service. The beer is okay, a couple good ones. No food. Pretty cool place, definitely worth stopping in for a couple.

Danny is the BEST! She is the greatest beer tender you’ll ever meet. Super friendly, recommend beer options for my boyfriend and I based on our different preferences, and was just a all around great spirit to be around. If ever we visit St. Augustine, we will be sure to stop by Ancient City Brewing. What a awesome start to our first day of vacation. You best believe we’ll be back before we depart the city! Cheers! P.S. if you like stouts and porters, you’ll enjoy the Castillo Coconut Porter. 😋

While strolling through the vibrant Downtown of St. Augustine, especially on a sunny day with temperatures on the higher side, the craving for a refreshing drink led me to the Ancient City Brewing Taproom. Without hesitation, I made the spontaneous decision to indulge in a beer from Ancient City Brewing. Renowned for its diverse selection of beers, Ancient City Brewing Taproom offers a delightful space to savor a cold brew. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by Brianne. Together, we navigated the enticing beer menu, ultimately settling on the Golden Ale Beer. The moment I took my first sip of the Golden Ale Beer, drawn fresh from the tap, I was greeted by its crisp and chilled perfection--a welcomed respite from the warmth outside. The taste was truly exceptional, and I found myself thoroughly enjoying the golden ale. It was an experience that elevated my day in the charming setting of St. Augustine.

Good atmosphere. Good location. The Swamp Head Berry Jelly sour on tap was delicious. Also recommend the ancient city pale ale.

Driving through to southern Florida cities I’ve never stopped in St Augustine. Figured there must be a brewery. As it should come as no surprise there was and right in the heart of downtown. This historic venue offers some good brews. Some made by them and some others that are not typically found in other breweries. Bring a sticker to slap on their brewery fridges and leave your mark…all the while quenching your thirst.

Cute spot, great beer! A bit of a funky smell inside for some reason. There’s a decent amount of seating. They have a few nonalcoholic options, sodas etc.

Great beer. Relaxed environment during the day. There is live music some nights and it can definitely get busy then!

Cool little bar/brewery right in the mix of it in St Augustine. Right on King!! Good selection of flavors. Matanzas River Red was my choice. And it did not disappoint. The trick is to get lucky with parking!!! Mixed crowd and all seemed to be having fun. Pretty relaxing atmosphere. Dog friendly too.

Stopped in this cool place, and I love the atmosphere and decor! Staff is great. Only reason I give it a 4 and not a 5 is because of the smell. It smells like maybe a pipe broke or there was a sewage backup. Other than it was great. The coconut porter is fantastic!
