This restaurant has always been one of our favorites, but this time, I need to let everyone know how they went above and beyond for us. We made reservations at a nearby restaurant to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience, and I quickly called Capital Grill and asked if they could accommodate us on such short notice. Within 20 minutes, we arrived and were greeted by smiling faces. Upon being seated, we were greeted with a card signed by the staff and confetti on the table. Our server, Joy, was outstanding and made us feel special from the very moment we sat down. Her knowledge of the menu and recommendations were exactly what we needed and appreciated. To end the night, we were surprised with two glasses of champagne and a desert to complete our celebration. This restaurant deserves more than five stars for their extraordinary service, ambience, and food.

Steak was amazing. I compare this place to Ruth’s Chris.-> the steak was actually better than Ruth’s Chris. The sides were very good but not as good as Ruth’s Chris. The service and drink were spot on. You would not be disappointed if you give it a try.

Everything was wonderful! From our greeting to our departure. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary and our server made it so memorable !!! We had the black tie Margaritas and they were delish! His steak was phenomenal and my double cut lamb chops were to die for! The chocolate soufflé and strawberry cheesecake was icing on the cake and also a complementary dessert from the restaurant! I must say again I was in love with the service! Thank you guys so much. We will be back

Great place for shorebirds occasion celebration but pricey! Service was great. Food was good, though my steak was undercooked for me. Au gratin potatoes were amazing. Good cocktails. Prosciutto wrapped Mozzarella delightful!

First time we sat at the bar and Aline and Tina were wonderful! They were so friendly and accommodating and made our experience so much better. My fiancé had the burger with truffle fries which he loved. I had the lobster crab cakes which were to die for! And we shared the lobster Mac & Cheese which is always a must.

This place is a beautiful restaurant to dine for Lunch Or Dinner. It’s absolutely beautiful inside. When you want to treat yourself, go there. From the Hostess to the Staff, everyone was professional and courteous. After Holiday shopping, we treated ourselves to a nice lunch. The place is decorated with astonishing portraits. Atmosphere is quiet and calm. My Husband had the Steak Sandwich, and I had the Capital Grill Burger. This place is first class folks. Will definitely visit again.

We had a phenomenal dining experience last night and ate some of the best steak imaginable! We had a delectable 6 oz A5 Wagyu New York Strip and got one of their in-house dry aged New York strips as well to make a direct comparison. Both were out of this world, but when it comes to the A5 - wow, just, wow! Out-of-this-world flavor! The sides, bacon and Brussels and the au gratin were delicious, and the service was impeccable. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening. I highly recommend this location.

Capitol Grille delivered on all expectations form the moment you walk through the door to when you pay. Service was amazing, wine menu and offerings are extensive. High end dining option is well worth the money.

Came here just for a regular dinner, no celebration, just wanted a lobster and Creme brûlée. This is a Great place to celebrate a special occasion. But pricey for a walk in dinner, but will do it again without occasion, just love their food 😍 and the service.

She was accommodating because we got sat without a reservation immediately. I suggest making reservations for a party larger than two. You can reserve private dining room for large parties or events. There are signs for appropriate attire also. Nicole was our waitress and asks if we are celebrating a special occasion. They make their staff wear masks, it’s so hard to understand them when they talk. They begin with a mix warm bread basket with butter on a plate. They also offer an extensive wine list, however we paired our meals with different cocktails on their menu. I had a couple Black Sea salt Margarita, after the first one I held the course salt of the rim, it was overwhelming. Nicole immediately began preparing our table for the next course and bussed away any extra plates and was extremely polite. Appetizers were tuna tartare, a dozen oysters, followed by a wedge salad that they chopped for us and split for two. Our waitress, Nicole even walked me to the restroom since it was our first time there. The main course was amazing, citrus salmon and sliced filet mignon, side dishes soy glazed Brussels sprouts( a bit too sweet for me) asparagus and garlic spinach was so delicious. The dessert was a the flourless espresso cake (very rich) and the cheesecake (one of the best I have had) The Manager came and checked in on us to make sure everything was good. Very impressed with the service and the food. $300 well spent.

It was extremely busy Friday, December 28th for our last Date Nite 2023. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Service was very slow, food (lamb chops)was tasteless and the prices increase substantially. 🤷🏻‍♀️We had lobster Mac/Cheese $25 was only 3 pieces of lobster, usually it’s covered. the Rib eye price increased from $57to $75. This was one of our favorite places to eat, but not after today..

Everything was perfection. The newer hashbrowns with caviar side dish was so simple, yet so tasty. Recommend trying. 10/10. The server was very helpful and attentive and everything was cooked perfectly.

Bar service was stellar! Found ingredients for my “Christmas-tini” and happily and made it for me 🥰. The best I’ve ever been treated at a bar. Food impeccable. Bathroom…come on CG, you can do better.

Our server was great! The food was great, with huge portions. Everything we ordered was really good. The atmosphere was very loud, and very cramped. Managers did a good job of touching tables, but would benefit from more control over the guests. The noise from the bar was very overwhelming. We kept our conversation fun, which drowned out the noise.

Had a great early birthday dinner with my date! Had complementary champagne and after dessert drink on the house plus dessert. ordered New York strip steak with the peppercorn crust and a flaming young which came bigger than ordered, which is awesome

First time here and was highly impressed. Ordered a steak and they customized the preparation that is normally on a different cut with no problem. Arrived 30 minutes early for birthday reservation and was sat early (due to availability) but nonetheless, host and servers were amazing. Wine was above expectations, and dessert was delicious. Will definitely return!

Upscale restaurant, service was great. The cuisine is not exclusively meat-based, but in terms of quality and consistency, I would definitely go back.

Amazing, amazing, amazing place for dinner. You can't choose a better place in the area, especially for steak and seafood. Their lobster bisque is to die for, and their appetizers are amazing. We have loved everything we have had to eat. The service is stellar and no one rushes you. They are pleasant and chatty. We love this place and make it a date night regular on our schedule.

We went to a different restaurant to celebrate my birthday and we were never served. So we decided to go to the Capital Grille. While there, I shared with the hostess that we'd had a very bad experience and it was my birthday. The staff went above and beyond to reset the mood for my birthday, even though my bad experience had nothing to do with them. The service was top-notch and every morsel of food we were served was absolutely delicious.

It is disappointing to make a reservation only to arrive and be told the restaurant has no working gas today so they are only serving raw foods and salad on March 7. When a patron cancels or changes a reservation it’s expected they contact the restaurant ahead of time. Conversely, it would have been appreciated (and professional) to have been contacted and made aware of the outage that prevented the restaurant from serving its core menu items which it is known for rather than allow potential customers to waste their time and effort of traveling to the establishment.

The perfect place to celebrate a birthday. The staff gave a lot of attention to the birthday girl which was really lovely. Excellent food and service. Definitely worth the price. One small suggestion: it would have been beyond perfect if the noise level was lower. Otherwise, Bravo.

My wife and I stopped in for an early dinner at The Capital Grill in Jacksonville. Reservations for 2 at 6:00pm and was seated promply. We have visited this clasiic steakhouse chain before in other cities and have always had a good experience. This location was no exception and excelled in all categories. Love the ambiance that a classic steakhouse generates and Capital Grill is one of the best. Our server, Gabriel, was professional and attentive without being overbearing or interrupting. The food was on par with our expectations as well. The French onion soup and wedge salad were great starters and my wife and I both had steak for our entrée. She had the 10oz fillet and I had the bone-in ribeye. She subtlety made mention to our server that the steak was a bit rare and the manager was insistent that his kitchen send out a new entrée AND sent out 2 desserts on the house as well. Neither were necessary but very much appreciated. Wow!! We took the second steak, and what we didnt eat, home in a doggie bag for black and blue salads the meat day. On top of that, my wife commented a couple times that this was the best steak she has ever had. Needless to say, we will be returning to The Capital Grill and we highly recommend!!

I need that several capital grows. My expectations were pretty high and were met. Alex is a fantastic job waiting on us in the food was top notch for all five people at the table. Highly recommend the bacon appetizer.

1st time dining here. Wanted to go somewhere special for my husband’s birthday. Our waiter, Mitoki, was awesome! Mitoki was friendly & welcoming. Suggested items on menu that he liked and thought we might like. We very much enjoyed our food, atmosphere, and experience.

Went for my birthday last month. Definitely was a good experience and the food and cocktails were great. The staff was very friendly and professional can’t wait to go back.

The service was fabulous. The bone in rob eye was perfection. I loved the mushroom risotto. The glazed salmon was very good. The lobster and shrimp was delicious. The sea bass was delicious. The drinks were very good. The desserts were divine. Espresso cake and the cheesecake were amazing.The staff went out of their way to make our 40th anniversary memorable. Deanna was wonderful and made the dining experience special with little touches such as champagne and desserts. The Manager Dan was wonderful and made sure our time spent in this lovely restaurant one we will not forget.
