I only take time to write a review when the food/service is really good or really bad and you can tell by the one star this is going to be a bad one. Dirty Dirty Dirty. A lot of the tables are filthy with no one taking a walk around to clean. I ordered a Manager special with the seafood gumbo and a chicken sandwich I asked for my toast to be extra toasted and my sauce on the side but it came all smushed together and to be honest I couldn’t finish the half sandwich it was so bad. The gumbo was also very nasty and the rice was crispy unlike the bread which was soggy due to too much dressing that I asked for on the side…. Subway is way better and worthwhile. I even gave a tip on my tab…. I feel like I just paid 12 dollars for a .99 cent bag of lays as that was all that was edible…. I am leaving as hungry as I arrived…. All of these tables were the same when I got here and when I left and there are plenty of staff on duty….. There also was no paper towels in the restroom…. So sad 😭

Had the salad bar and it was delish. Lots of wonderful choices including veggies, nuts, hard boiled eggs and hummus. The variety of crunchy toppings was good as well. The mini cornbread and gingerbread muffins were a real moist and tasty treat. The huge Reuben sandwich was amazing. Will be back for the salad bar, to try more sandwiches, soup, and for the soft ice cream included with your meal!

This food is great. It's so hard to find a great sandwich, and they got it. It's like an upgraded Panara Bread. And they put healthy portions on a plate. I could have went with a half sandwich. A whole was too much. And the free ice cream was on the spot. Thanks Jason's Deli.

Great as usual! This location has been here for a long time and we were glad to see it survived the changes in the area. The food was great and fresh, the staff and manager were awesome, and it wasn’t expensive. We got the baked potatoes and a couple of soups and they were fresh and very soothing. A must visit if you are in the Southside area and looking for a healthier choice of food.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Roast beef sandwich is amazing! Beef was super tender and flavorful. My buddy had an enormous baked potato. He said it was delicious as well. Portions were generous for the prices. Free ice cream cones was a bonus.

I drove across Jacksonville because I wanted a cool dinner on a hot night. I saw the menu and reviews and chose this place. I am very disappointed. Not a great 1st impression. Half of my chicken Caesar SALAD wrap had 4 quarter pieces of lettuce on it. I shouldn’t be able to count how many pieces of lettuce are in a salad wrap. If I wanted a chicken sandwich with a little bit of lettuce, that’s what I would have ordered. With the key word being salad wrap it should have more lettuce in it than provided. I also ordered a macaroni salad and they never put it in my bag. I was going to give a 1 but I gave it a 2 because the man who helped me was polite and made my son laugh. Service was good. When I paid $26.00 for 2 wraps. I expected to be blown away with a big delightful wrap.

Have been wanting to try this place for a while since I work pretty much next door to it. We went for lunch & besides the customer service everything else was subpar. The Steak Po' Boy is cold which isn't a problem but you should at least make the slices thinner so that it's easier to chew. The California Club was supposed to be on a toasted croissant, it was not a croissant nor was it toasted. Nothing fresh about the fruit & there was mold on the cheese. Needless to say, I tried it once & that was more than enough for me.

This is a good spot for a decent lunch at a good price. The serving sizes are solid, and they offer lighter portions if you are feeling less hungry. The baked potatoes are huge. Bonus, if you dine in you get soft serve included.

We went right when they opened(I’m turning into my grand parents) 😂 so it was really nice to have the salad bar clean to ourself, food was delicious as always! One of the only places left that has an actual salad bar with upkeep and fresh options along with awesome sandwiches. The baked potato’s are also crazy good and service is great too. I recommend going early if possible.

Okay, a little on the pricey side for a deli, but it's worth it for the excellent customer service and the delicious fresh food! There is something to please almost every palette, and with a family full of picky eaters, it is not easy to find ONE place to order something for everyone. I don't eat red meat, so I opt for the salmon sandwich. My one daughter gets tired of pizza or sandwiches, so she gets the Alfredo pasta. My husband loves the New York style pastrami and roast beef, and the grands like their personal pizzas. And... if we order again, their menu has enough choices to get something completely different next time! Plus it's all well cooked and so yummy!

The restaurant was clean with fast service and great staff. I ordered the California club with a side of Mac and cheese. My friend got a baked potato that was the size of her head. We sat comfortably for hours talking and never felt pressured by staff to hurry up and leave, which was a really refreshing change from most restaurants.

Been here before. I, My Wife and step Son decided to go here for lunch today. We waited in line for about 10 even though there were two registers open. One register had two customers already and the second register there was nobody there. Even though the gentleman working that register saw Us come in and wait in line. He just decided to ignore Us at first and not sure why. In after waiting ten minutes, He decides to take Our order. I think this gentleman requires more customer service training. It's not good to have customers waiting when there isn't a person actively ordering at a cash register. I decided to order a chicken panini sandwich and it was very good. What I don't like is that a drink isn't included with the sandwich and I think it should be. Most other places offer that option. We will return here when that gentleman isn't working.

Cheaper than Panera, better than McAlisters, more delicious than either - but this is just one man’s humble opinion. Perhaps my judgment is clouded by nostalgia; after all, I did grow up eating at the original location in Beaumont, TX. The California Club (on croissant) and the Beefeater (pictured below) are my go-to menu items. When I moved to Gainesville I was looking forward to Jason’s, which was listed on google maps, but alas it had become yet another casualty of covid. This sandwich always hits the spot - the light smattering of what I can only guess is French onion sauce sends it over the edge. Sub the standard ruffles for baked lays and add a sweet tea - it danceth on the palate like Tyreek Hill after a Super Bowl TD.

Love the selection, and who can argue with soup and a sandwich. Soup from a can I believe, but still decent. Plenty of dirty tables when we arrived, but they cleaned quickly after.

I love this place again since they re-opened the salad bar. Best salad bar anywhere in my opinion. This is the only thing I ever get here. My wife usually gets a baked potato which is huge. Highly recommended. Don't bother with the soft serve ice-cream though. It tastes okay, and it's free, but Its too soft and it melts by the time you bring it back to the table.

My first time here and I will be back when I'm in town. The Muffelatta is the bomb!😋We also enjoyed the salad bar. Plenty of salad fixings to please the crowd!

High quality healthy food, large portions, affordable prices. I learned of this place on a recent trip to Jax and we were all very impressed by the selection of the salad buffet. Not only did it have a ton of options but everything looked fresh and high quality. Also as a vegetarian I loved that they had a separate vegetarian menu! We came here two days in a row for lunch, pictured is their southwest bowl without the chicken (vegetarian).

The healthy spot to eat. The baked potato variety keeps me coming back. The pictures are years apart, yet the quality and taste remains. The service was a little slow, not sure why. Most of the tables were occupied with dirty plates and only one person cleaning. I ended up with the wobbling table. The potatoes keep me coming back.

I love Jason’s Deli but it was very sad to see the place filthy. There were dirty trays and tables all throughout. I witnessed customers cleaning their own tables and don’t get me started on the floor. Definitely need more staff.

Nice friendly staff and clean establishment. Not alot on salad bar but that could have been because of the time we arrived. Around 9:30 pm and they were closing at 10pm. But overall this was a good visit and fresh salad bar

Hadn't been in a few years. But I've been missing out! My brother and I got the salad bar. It was clean, fresh, and great selection! You can tell they take pride in their product! Free soft-serve to boot. Looking forward to another trip soon!

June 28, 2022 and the place continues to meet expectations. In the area make sure you stop in. Where has this place been? Hard to believe they have been at this location for over 20 years and us in the area for 14 and never heard of it. The large Deli is easly located off Southside in a strip mall with plenty of parking as well as inside and outside seating. An easy to read menu board gives you numerous sandwich and salad selections but you better come hungry as my sandwich (Ruben) had a 1/2lb of meat and Bill's (NY Special) 3/4lb with both coming with Ripple Chips. The only thing we wish they had were Fries and perhaps a bit warmer with the meat and look a melting the cheese more but other than that not a single negative. The salad bar looks great and will try it next time. Again clean well run that needs to advertise a bit more to get the NY crowd to start coming in.

Great tasting food all around. Menu contains many different selections, from sandwiches (hot and cold), pastas, salads, and potato boats. Salad bar is well equipped with good varieties. There is a free ice cream machine where you can grab a little treat, included with your meal. Out of the Meateater, Texas Style Potato, and Smokey Turkey Jack sandwich, the Meateater was the winner in deliciousness. Place has plenty of space for social distancing.

Absolutely exceptional customer service, delivery and food! I placed a very large delivery catering order for 80 boxes and Jason's Deli exceeding all my expectations! Fist off, my delivery driver got here within the first 5 minutes of my allocated window time and was so nice and professional. Then once I opened the boxes, everything was packaged perfectly and correctly. I also received many complements for the food, so complete win win!

I have no complaints about this deli. The salad bar was well stocked, fresh, and had a lot of variety. The mini muffins were delicious (moist, fresh, tasty). The restaurant staff were on top of keeping the area clean and appealing. Good experience.
