Although they are being served for a long time, still maintaining a good quality and competing with other hotels! Comparing with other hotels, they are providing reasonable service for reasonable price. Stayed in different hotels in Jaffna during last month period, a very well service and this hotel can be recommended for a reasonable stay!!! As my dad favorite, old is still gold and they are keeping their standard up to the level of other hotels!

Subhas is located in the best possible location with easy access to multiple shops and attractions in Jaffna Town. The rooms are clean and affordable, food is nice. Their service comes from their heart, with the team treating you like family. They went over and beyond to ensure us and our group of friends were comfortable. Would gladly recommend them to anyone traveling to Jaffna!

Very welcoming staff. They are kind and courteous. You are taken to your booked room.Facilities are explained. The room clean and neat.Beddings are fresh. The wash room very clean. Breakfast provided. Other meals will have to be previously ordered. There are several choices. Reasonable prices. Eastern meals very tasty. Walking distance to enjoy the town and banks and shopping. Whatever one needs they will go out of their way to direct you.Transport arranged. One of the best hotels I have come across.

Great place with good value for money. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They allowed me to be a very early check-in as i arrived at Jaffna in an early morning bus. The rooms were spacious and clean. All the basic amenities were there. The wifi was also ok, i could get through my youtube videos without any issues. They have their own restaurant and pub. The food was good.

If you are looking for a clean and hygienic place to stay look away and this is not the place you want to be. We checked in after only inspecting the room and later found out that bathroom had not been cleaned at all. In the bathroom there were mud patches on the floor and toilet seat had water patches all over it. When we complained this to management they offered us few other rooms which all had the same issue. Above all the room boy had the audacity to tell us that we are asking too much for 6000 rupees and he suggested us to go to a luxury hotel. Thankfully, we found another place with better quality and there are so, many alternatives at lower rates.

I’m not staying at this hotel so can’t comment on the rooms however I did visit the bar. When I opened the door I thought it was closed at first as there was limited lighting on and was lacking atmosphere. I ordered two reasonably priced beers and one overpriced plate of overcooked chips. I probably wouldn’t visit again until they improve the ambience.

Hotel is very well located with easy access to everything. Rooms are clean, however the overall property need a refurbishment as the taps, walls etc need an uplifting. Reception was extremely good and everyone was very curtious and helpful. Jaffna hotel and restaurant staff are all very humble and kind people. Subhas gave us a extremely large room as the room given to us was too small but did not charge anything extra. Really recommended them as a place of stay though it is considered as an average hotel and rate it as basic 3 star. They did mention that they are planning on a renovation and if so it will be one of the best places with very reasonable prices too. All the very best to everyone at Subhas !

The staff here is excellent. Very friendly and very helpful with information. We were recommended the location by a friend. However, we were overcharged for the rooms and the food, which we did not appreciate. They did have a valid reason as the country is in a bad situation. But If we were informed prior, we wouldn't mind. But to be informed when billing and finding out the prices have been increased was not nice. Their rooms need improvement in quality. The hotel is located in the middle of the city, which is a plus point. But this hotel would be a 1 to 2 star hotel.

Amazing Srilankan Hospitality. Good local cuisine freshly cooked. The Manager helped to identify local tourist spots and arranged transportation. Comfortable rooms at affordable prices. Good communication and happy faces willing to help.

I have stayed in Subhas Hotel in an earlier instance. This is my second occasion. I like this hotel very much, that is why I came again. Staff is very nice and friendly. Hotel very close to the many important places.

A very friendly, family run hotel very well located for the centre of Jaffna. We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were all flexible and helpful, making us feel at home. They offered recommendations and help purchasing items in town. We left with very happy memories.

This is the worst hotel & not really recommended to stay there. The people are working scams and only money minded people don't care about the customer. Initially, they showed one room and gave the other room. We didn't stay in even 4 hours, so we had to check out and go to another hotel. The room started to leak water from the roof once the showers 🚿 opened. The big 1000 legs insects 🐛🐛🐛 are all over the bed. Very poor service. Waste of time and money.

First and foremost I wonder how people gave good ratings to this hotel. Straight & simple....you don't get what you see in the photos shown in Google maps. Rooms are not clean and smells badly.... The room service guy.came after we checked in and used Air fresh inside the in our presence... Bathroom was not up to the price what we pay to them.... Other hotels at this price range are much great option compared to this hotel Hotel & Bar: The staffs are keen on closing the bar food service after 9pm.. Staff service and attitude is worst... I reserved 2 rooms and stayed for two nights in the Hotel. The location is good and staffs are very friendly but overall experience, particularly the rooms are not up to the standard (i.e.; not well cleaned, linens are quite old and Lizards & Mosquitoes). I feel, not worthy for the amount paid and didn't have the feeling of staying at a star hotel because none of the staffs are having uniforms!

It was good the building is a bit older than I thought they are renovating it. They have a lots of non-vegetarian food items and they don't have a restaurant, we should order and within half an hour they'll make it. Room service is available this is not the hotel for pure vegetarians as they don't have a lots of varieties in them. Overall the room was good and neat

Literally one of the excellent hotels I've visited. Highly recommend it to anyone. Comfort - 100% Staff service - 100% Food - 100% Well I can continue adding more and more stuff but yeah it'll take long.... can conclude saying "Kudos" to the hotel management.
