Great place to have some authentic Jaffna/ Indian vegetarian food. Clean, nicely arranged restaurant with a open kitchen where you can see your meal is getting prepared. Value for money & tasty as well.

We have ordered 4 different kind of foods. I’ll review here separately. The customer service is incredible, very clean, calm and spacious restaurant. 1. Mangos Special Kottu - It was so tasty 😋 and enough potion to A person 2. Mangos special Masala Dosa - it’s Quiet Good but I’ve eaten better than this 3. Chilli parata - Very tasty. It is my first time eating this dish and it is so tasty but bit oily 😋 4. Poori Set - Not so much, very poor presentation ,too much oily not so tasty 🤤

Incredible Dosas! Their Special Dosa is indeed special. It's the richest dosa I've ever tasted! They drench it in ghee and then add cream cheese in the middle. Special Dosa costs 460, 7Up bottle 130. Enjoy!

The dining area was like 70% full and all the vacant tables were full of leftovers from previous guests. Waited for almost 40 minutes and finally had a waiter attend to us after calling a few people multiple times, only to be told that they're working on a limited menu. The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional and doesn't seem to care if they loose business. Saw 3 groups of people walking away while we were waiting.

The food tastes very organic, I can reassure you that no preservatives or additives are added at all. Despite of this, there are only a few choices to pick from especially at lunch time. You could either order a biriyani or rice with curry so I motivate this establishment to add more choices but the staff told me there are far more wider ranges of food at night so definitely recommend coming then.

I have visited this restaurant many times when it was near Nallur temple, and I was always disappointed by their customer service and food. Now they have moved to a new location, and I have been there twice. I will not talk about my previous experience in the old location, but only about the present one. I went there twice, and the first time my friend complained of a bad smell. She has the most sensitive nose in the world, so we ignored it. But the last time I went, it was really unbearable. I think it was coming from outside, and possibly related to the rain and the new building. Another problem was the mosquitoes. They kept biting me throughout the meal. As for the food, I tried their special kottu and special dosa. Both were acceptable, but nothing to write home about. The last time I tried their butter tikka masala with butter naan. The subzi was okay, but the second naan was undercooked. I was ordering one by one, so maybe they rushed it to avoid making us wait. I would say they are average, but considering the Indian food in Jaffna is mostly bad, this is something you could try. I want to go back there and try their lassi someday. The customer service was much better in this new establishment, compared to the previous one where it was terrible.

Loved it. The price was a bit too high but the quality was good. It was a busy day at the restaurant so had to wait about 20 minutes for the food to be delivered. The drinks we're delivered quickly tho. Most of the Vege dishes like Mushroom/Gobi were not available to order. Ordered the chili paneer and it rocked. The restaurant has long tables that fits about 10 people. Would be nice to have separate tables that fit 2-4 people for better private dining.

Authentic vegan food joint in Jaffna. Must try. - Mangos Special Uthappam - Poori - Mashroom Manchurian Their naan breads are super soft. Prices are bit high end but worth for the price. Portions are generous.

Mangos Indian Veg serves real vegetarian meals in Indian taste. Their cooks are from India and do a great job. They have a separate preparation area and a big kitchen showing the cleanness. They have another small cooking area for Dosais opens in the evening. Parking is available for cars and vans also. Restaurant building is very pleasing but there are no beautiful vistas. Fine.... the taste is there. Meals are not much expensive and Mangos special for lunch is very nicely planned. They know the best way to deliver tasty filling meals without eggs and meat.

Had dinner today and very clean inviting place. Did not wait long for our food.had fish curry, fish fry, chicken curry,lentils curry and vegetables fried rice. Food is tasty as we cooked at home. We will visit again tomorrow for crab curry. I will recommend this places to visit if anyone in Jaffna

BEWARE AND CHECK THE PRICE VERBALLY ON EVERYTHING YOU ORDER. I have dined many times over the years, mainly at the previous premises. The special dosa is beyond delicious....... however there is nothing better at leaving a bitter taste than to be robbed. The menu offers 'mango special ice cream (for 2 pers) slk 1500. But when the bill comes you are charged 3000slk. I challenged the staff without success finally I was left with little option but to pay the bill. I will never go back.

We ordered a cheese dosa and a paneer dosa, they were huge and very filling. We had mango lassi and strawberry milkshakes. Really enjoyed our meal.

This is Indian vegetarian restaurant relocated at new place. We hadn't much idea about their menu & asked their suggestions for our requirement. We ordered Mangos special dose with cheeses addon & Gee roast dose. Both was top notch. My recommendation is you should try special dose. Clean & delicious food. Parking facility available.

Really nice food, had the Mango’s special dosa and the paneer butter masala which were both great. Nice, friendly service from a waiter with good English. Large car park.

I visited this after two weeks of their sifting to the new premises. Earlier it was near the Nellore temple. Now they are at main Street . The construction work is not completed. Still to be improved. The quality of the food is very good when compared to other vegetarian restaurants. The environment is not looking good when compared to the previous one. The service style is like a normal Indian restaurant. But the former one at Nallur was attractive ( the banana leaves, empty jam bottles, vessels made out of Palmyra product were used which were attracted by foreign tourists . But hope it will reach the standard soon.

Went to mangos because of the good reviews. But for the disappointment I didn't find anything to admire about it. Food is average but the price is not when comparing to other Jaffna food places. My order got mixed up also. But they were very kind about it and reduced my bill. The chilli parata was too crispy like biscuits. We all enjoy there masala tea.

Good food, they are famous for dosa. They were quite good but not much filled. Masala was nice and tasty. Cheese naan was quite disappointing, the naan was very good, but cheese was not inside and just some few spread around with some cheese that reminds me the economical spreading one in supermarkets. But I can recommend the place. Waiting can be quite long and sometimes you get your curry and you have to wait 15 minutes more to have your naan.

The food is quite amazing, if you like Indian food - this is the place to go. We’ve gone a few times and we were not disappointed. Yes, service can be slow but the staff are doing what they can (I’ve seen the place get loaded full-up with many people quickly and it was hard, so at times, have patience, it’s worth it!). The owner is a very nice and charismatic man as well, if you have a chance to chat with him, do so!

Had a pleasurable time here with family for lunch. Tasty food and good pricing. Only down side was we had to wait a bit longer than usual for lunch at 1:45 PM but we were advised beforehand that there was a wait even though the restaurant was mostly empty.

Located in walking distance from the Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil. You can taste the authentic vegetarian Jaffna and Indian food. The Indian Thali meal we had (the only available item at 1400) was not up to the expectation but as per the other reviews the other menu items are good. Expect delays during peak hours. Have enough space to accommodate large groups. Advisable to call and check/reserve if you are a large group. Lunch starts from 1115 and dinner from 1730. The cleanliness, customer friendly attitude are areas for improvement.

We were been there yesterday. At the entrance it was mentioned dine in starts from 11.15 am. However around 12 none was there to serve us. We were going and asking time to time. A person while washing hands asked do u want juice🙄 is this the way to treat customers? no food menu no waitors no tissue or hand dryer, No water bottle.. Nothing. Worst place calling by the name of restaurant. A small water bottle is Rs. 100 😂. . Open a buffet if you can't help
