Loved the food, very good customer service. The ambience was huge and can accommodate a lot of people. They had dosa, idly which comes handy for kids. The only thing that I felt could have been better was the temperature of the food. My food arrived a bit cold. The bill amount was quite okay, except the 10 percent service tax. Anyway, I loved how the staff played around and treated my daughter, we felt really comfortable being there.

Variety of food for breakfast and tasty food. Very friendly staff in restaurant and reception, amazing service. However, experienced the horrible hospitality from the owner. My friends father is 92 years and needs assistance to walk and the driver of the van parked in front of the entrance. Suddenly, the owner appeared and started shouting in very rude manner. Even after being told and showing the aged gentleman, still he continued screaming. He could have told in a decent way. Will never stay in this place and will not recommend to any friends. The owner should learn the definition of "Hospitality". The entrance is slippery and not suitable for elderly people.

Regrettably, except for the first room, the other two were marred by serious issues that significantly impacted the quality of my stay. The main issues I encountered were: Hygiene and Pest Infestations: In the second and third rooms, I was shocked to find an alarming presence of mosquitoes and cockroaches in the toilets. This was not only unsettling but also a serious concern for health and hygiene. The presence of pests in a hotel room is entirely unacceptable and indicates a lack of proper housekeeping and pest control measures. Odor Problems: The rooms I occupied had a pervasive and unpleasant odor that made my stay uncomfortable. The smell was not only unpleasant but also a clear indication of inadequate cleanliness and maintenance. Housekeeping and Attitude: The overall housekeeping standards at your hotel to be unsatisfactory. The attitude of the staff, particularly when I reported the issues I encountered, was disappointing. It seemed as though my concerns were not taken seriously, and the staff was not proactive in addressing them. Given the nature and severity of these issues, my stay at your hotel was far from the experience I had expected. As a paying guest, I believe I had the right to a clean, pest-free, and comfortable environment during my stay. I strongly urge your management to take immediate action to rectify these issues and improve the overall quality of your services. I hope that you will consider implementing the necessary measures to prevent such situations from occurring in the future, as they undoubtedly tarnish the reputation of your establishment. In light of my experience, I would not recommend anyone to book with your hotel until these concerns are adequately addressed and resolved. Great hall! Food was excellent. However if you are conducting your event on the 4th floor please be aware that the AC doesn't work on one side of the hall and the other side of the hall is too cold, it isn't coordinated properly. The brides room had insects, wall plugs that didn't work properly and through this stress this is unnecessary to deal with. We got a discount of 5000 ruppees which converts to only $20 CAD for the AC not to work and a room that has many issues. Please ensure you consult properly before booking at this place. Staff at the front aren't pleasant to deal with. They aren't customer friendly. The elevator isn't clean and the hotel premises doesn't have AC. Other than these issues the food was absolutely amazing.

Convenient location, can reach most destinations in Jaffna very easily. The room was excellent, spacious and comfortable. The food was great, specially the breakfast buffet. Service and staff were also excellent. Highly recommended.

We were so dissatisfied. Although we were there about half and hour, no one came to take the order.they didn't even talk to us. So bad and poor service. I don't recommend this hotel for anyone. Never visit this place unless you want to experience the same.

I went to this hotel after a long travel. I was so hungry and they made me wait for more than 90 minutes. Not only that when they bring the plates it wasn't cleaned properly . I felt that obnoxious smell in one plate and there was a food stain in one plate. When we were about to leave they asked us to stay and told us that they will wash it properly. They should have done that before serving the food

First off all I’d like to say it was a utter mistake off me ending up in the hotel as the recent reviews speak for itself. Where do I begin? As we entered our rooms, I got a heaping smell of dust in my face, as I use the bathroom, the taps are awkwardly set out so that water doesn’t pour properly onto your hands, toilets are almost on the verge of overflowing and the water pressure in the shower is extremely low. (not to mention there are so called people called “plumbers” who can fix the issue.). To Be Honest the people who own the hotel probably spent most of their budget trying to make the Hotel lobby look nice and then just went cheap on everything else. Also we ordered two teas and it took them 30 - 45 minutes to get room service to deliver to us ( We’re on the 2nd Floor for gods sache.) Also because it’s Sri Lanka it’s going to be hot and the room was set to have fans, one was there… and the other was ripped of the bloody ceiling WHAT A JOKE. Don’t ever go to this establishment and I’ve probably been spared a life for not trying the food.

Before ordering the food, I asked how long it would take. They said 15 minutes. Even after 50 minutes, the food did not come. Those who came after me were given food. I think I was disrespected because I went as an individual. I have canceled the order and left. 02.08.2023 1.00pm

I went to this restaurant with children and It was a very bad restaurant. First, in term of waiting, I ordered food and it came after 30 minutes and it did not come for everyone. Only adults were served and the food were cold. Then I waited at least 20 minutes after we have finished our dish, for children to be served, and I had to tell them thrice to have their order served. I will never recommend this restaurant

It's my 3rd time staying in this hotel over the years and it's still the same great hotel with good customer service and the breakfast buffet is to die for! Rooms are so good, spacious and comfortable and the prices are quite good for the facilities offered! Highly recommend since it's closer to the city and have many shortcuts to any famous place you want to visit such as Nallur Kovil, Jaffna Fort and Market. Lovely experience other than when having food from the restaurant since it was delayed for a bit of time!

We (18 people) stayed in US hotel while our tour of jaffna. Rooms were clean and property arranged. Staff was friendly and was there to help us when we need their support. Breakfast was a tamil authentic buffet and love their masala tea surved while the breakfast. Also we tried US restaurant for our dinner, food was good for vegetarians and non vegs. We experienced their sea food frice rice and koththu which were delicious and much bigger for a single portion. This was the first time I stayed in this place and I recommend this place. 👍

I had lunch on a very busy weekend in their restaurant. Pros - they have a large restaurant hall which can accomodate a lot of people at once, so seating might not be a problem. Service tio was reasonable considering they served us within half an hour of ordering in a full house afternoon. Food was not exceptional but somewhat ok. They have plenty of parking as well. Its in the middle of the Jaffna town, so very easily accessible.

Good food and great service. There are a lot of bad reviews about rooms and I didn't stay there to experience it. However the food was really good and the waiter Mayuran was really good at what he was doing.

If the person named Sharm who was at the reception was not there the staff and the service would be excellent. Sharm was rude and not helpful at all when he was at the reception and during the service at the reception hall. He is a black mark to the hotel and all other staff were good and very friendly as well as helpful..

I highly recommend the US hotel for anyone looking for delicious food and clean rooms. The hotel's restaurant serves some of the best meals I've had in a long time, with a diverse menu that caters to all tastes.. and take away also available

Such an ugly rooms and worst service at the most important location in Jaffna. I've been here like 6 years back and and it was all good. But it was damn bad and disgusting during my last visit a month ago. Rooms aren't clean. AC doesn't work properly. Fan regulator is broken. Bed covers aren't clean and pale yellow in colour. You can hear sound from the other room and bathroom. Walls are not voice proof. And the entire washroom area gets flooded in 5 minutes, with the water splashing out of shower. But the charges were higher than the hotels that offer quality and decent services.

This review is for the restaurant only since I haven't used their accommodations nor participated in their banquet hall. I come here for dinner on a Thursday night and it was about at 40% to 50% occupancy in the restaurant. We were 2 adults and had to wait a little before being received by the staff. Once seated, we had a good service by the waiter but found it a little long before we got our soup as starter. Our meal followed shortly after. The chicken soup was very good and spicy. For the meal, I had taken a beef fried rice and was disappointed. It wasn't flavourful as compared to some other restaurants. I had to use a lot of katta sambal to add flavour to the dish. We also took a plate of prawn devilled and was very pleased with it. It was tasty and had lot of prawns. A lot more prawns than onion and pepper. It complimented the flavourless fried rice very well. To finish the course, I had Watalappam for desert and adored it. It was tasty and did not have any weird egg like smell or taste compared to some other restaurants. The prices are very decent as well for the type of restaurant and the area it is in. This restaurant really disappointed me in the hand-wash area. Everything else was clean except for that particular place. The sink was gross and filled with dirty water. Wish they would keep that clean and clog free as it is the first thing people use when entering the restaurant and the last thing when exiting.

I have visited several times there food is good and clean, and seems spacious always. One of the greatest restaurant in jaffna srilanka. They use so much amount of ghee in chicken dump briyani, ghee flavour is subjective for everyone. Parking facility also adequate there. They are also have wedding hall in the same building. I don't know about the rent. I have tried chicken briyani fried rice chicken devil curry and also some desserts. The dessert was wattalabam that was also amazing. The price seems same as other restaurant in jaffna.

The best for Chicken & mutton kottu. I've Enjoyed my dinner with my friend yesterday. It was a really good atmosphere and very friendly staff there for serve you. Highly recommended place to enjoy ur food with affordable prices. 💗

No stars. I booked the best room (in their opinion) there is at their hotel but it wasn't cleaned at all.. they didn't even look at it after the previous customer left the room. It was 3am so I was too tired to go and complain, the boy that worked there was also sleeping in one of the sofas at the reception so it was pointless. I had to use my own towels and other sheets to put over the bed to sleep on... Look at the picture I have attached, there was these dots on the bed sheets. It was disgusting and the worst experience EVER. I DO NOT recommend this place.

Best place to have a biriyani in jaffna. We had chicken biriyani and it was very nice. Chicken they fried and gave us it was very delicious. Crowded the restaurant but there are huge area for the restaurant in the upper floor. Parking available. Service is really good.

Food is horrible. I was told the food is very good but total disappointment. Chicken biryani is a fried chicken and veg biryani. Mutton biryani was so soggy and looked like veg biryani rice was mixed with mutton curry. Service was extremely slow. Need major improvement.

They do this Ever time ….Very bad service of food orders they trying to save a lot of money .. I ordered one string hopper’s chicken kottu & one chili paste cup for Rs.100 … whey only give me string hopper’s kottu only whit one small chicken neck piece …I takeaway it home and the string hoppers was full and no spice just few vegetable only & one small chicken neck piece very bad. I’m very disappointed. They have a such a big restaurant. They said the chili paste was inside the box. It wasn’t inside.😡

Worst customer service ever I had today. We ordered chicken biriyani from them, normally biriyani comes with raita salad and gravy, but this place is giving biriyani rice ,fried chicken and Chile paste only. Funny thing was when we request gravy for money, they refused the same. Very very bad service and not recommending anyone to have your lunch or dinner. They ruined our day.

I was forced to choose this hotel due to last minute travel plan on Christmas 2021. I found many reviews about this hotel is too good, but with my experience it is not so. Hotel front desk given warm welcome and quick checkin, room was good in size but rest are all not upto the mark. Bathroom door not having latch, shower area glass partitions are broken. When I went for breakfast, no one was there and found a guy at kitchen area, he was asked me wait for some time to check whether food is available, he spoke to some one over the phone and then he was started watching something interested to him on the phone, after 30 min wait I left empty stomach and took my taxi to find another hotel. I never had such a experience. Also room maintenance was not hygienic and no changeover of bedspread, bath towel by the maintenance team for couple of days! They are expecting we have to call for even daily complimentary water bottle supply. Poor maintaining and not worth for the money. Covid19 May be an excuse!

Place is very clean and neat. Staff are very friendly and foods are delicious. Value for money. Staff will have to be assisted with more customer service training. Other wise their business will suffer soon

Review opinion for tourist—-Worst experience as a tourist from Chennai. I would say second it’s waste of money, first it’s not good at all so as a traveller hygiene is important because as tourist u need to roam and explore not to rest in bed as patient so seriously honest option don’t dare to eat. Worst service bcoz they took order after 10 mins didn’t ask for water and we asked last for water they gave bottled water which was ruthless for this kind of service they charge 282 seriously I made a blunder mistake by dining there so friend beware 🫣

There are 2 problems I’ve identified this place, firstly , very dam slow service, once we ordered food need to wait at least, 2 hour to wait. And They don’t offer wifi for restaurant customers. I was requesting wifi for my kids while they were eating, the hotel and restaurant front desk personnels didn’t give us wifi. They don’t respect customers. We don’t want to come back this place anymore.

The quality of the food is good. During any programs or functions, we need to wait for the lift for a long time since they only have one lift.

I went there to attend a wedding function. Wedding Hall (1st Floor) is very clean. They have made the arrangements in a good way. Wedding Hall has AC. The meals provided with a good presentation. They have arranged vegetarian food and non-vegetarian foods separately. I've chosen vegetarian food. But I feel the combination of the vegetarian food is not that much of perfect. But it was tasty. They will have to maintain their tails in the ground floor. Specially at their main entrance. I was nearly fall in down. Luckily I've cutch the lion statue and managed. Otherwise my life may ended up there. There is a lady in the ground floor who doesn't know how to treat the customers. She is behaving like teacher fearing students.

Yesterday lunch we had a nice oil rice they call it nasi goreng but it's just oil and spice no flavour nothing the dining looks like we are eating in the jail. Staff just sit and watch us waiting funny experience if your taste buds are dead you should try this food

We had Rice and Curry here, which was very tasty and large portion sizes. Enough and more Rice and curries were served. They just have to reduce on their spices and chilli as certain dishes were extremely hot 🔥 and Spicy.

Location is very convenient. Reception helpful re early check in. The Colombo night buses most of them will pick you up at the hotel. Family room enough for five people. Price includes breakfast which includes authentic Jaffna cuisine. Hoppers made then and there for guests. All round good service. Take away counter in hotel has good range of veg and non veg food items reasonably priced.
