Located in the heart of Jaffna town, easy accessible lots of tourism spots, bus and train station are nearby, shopping places nearby, etc. Having swimming pool, gym and leisure facilities. Restaurant and bar are available. Delicious food can be eat-in or takeaway.

Best place to have some foods and relax. Foods are very tasty and rooms also maintained very good condition. Staff is so friendly but some peoples can only speak Tamil it’s not matter ❤️🇱🇰

We didn't stayed here but visited to have dinner while having a beer. Food was good specially the mutton. Bar area is also air conditioned and wash rooms and parking available.

Leaking air-conditioning, musty towels, extremely unclean shower areas and poor service. Stayed for 4 nites. Day 1 was a nightmare. Water from the Aircon flooded the entire desk area and including the TV. After about 90 mins of repairs, it was resolved but they used our bathtowels to clean the desk! Lol. And the worker very nicely placed back the towels on the bath rack l! It was so funny. After much persuasion, they send new towels at about 1am. The night manager was unfriendly and we had to do a lot of persuasion to get required responses. The manager was friendly on the day 2 onwards! Aircon leaked again on day 2 but it was quickly resolved because we just decided to sleep through it! Less hassle. Day 3 was fine! 😀 Bathroom, ok I honestly don't think any cleaner has ever reached the shower area. It the most uncleaned shower area I have used. Other friends in the group of 40 had almost similar experience. Toilet and basin was clean. But the walls, bath curtains and shower fittings was filthy. I am sharing this hoping management will improve the services in this areas, so customers would have better travelling experience.

We stayed here on Feb 4th and their Resturant service is ridiculous! Almost waited for an hour and half to receive our dinner to the table. Worst part is the mosquitoes bites while having food. Resturant manager should learn how to Manage their Clients, I would rate him 2/10 for his service and attitude! Never recommended to any of my friends for sure !!

This was a great hotel in Jaffna and it's location is very close to the Jaffna fort near the roundabout junction next to the main post office. Good for rooms and food. Management is very friendly with the customers.

We came here with high hopes however we were extremely disappointed with the service it. The food was also not it. It was barely edible and we contemplated leaving many many times. Not happy with the restaurant as a whole, the prices were alright. Would definitely not recommend it.

The first thing is the smell. When you walk into the hotel, there is a very bad smell. But not only the lobby, but also in the rooms and bathrooms. In the bedroom, the beds were not clean. There were weird stains on the pillow and blanket. The bathroom was not clean, in the showers there was dirt on the floor and there wasn’t a holding shower. The sink was broken and the handle was dirty. Even tough I went to way many hotels, this hotel comes easily to one of my worst experiences I had. Especially that I was called afterwards, because we used their towels that were available in the bathroom! They wanted me to pay that I used their towels, that laid in the bathroom.

Rooms smelly. Full of mosquitoes. Restaurant has no cold drinks at all. whenever ask, their answer is yes we have but not cold. Putting in to fridge is a 1 minute job. They never.

Easy accessibility for those travel by bus; with decent n spacious rooms. However a bit old fashioned as I belive this hotel is one of the oldest in Jaffna.

Foods are Tasty, but very poor service. Even hall management services also very poor. Don't have experience on rooms.

If you book half board rooms in this hotel you are provided rice with only chicken, dhal and tomatoes curry for your dinner. No other alternatives for those who don’t eat chicken. Management does not care guests’ choice of food. Therefore, do not book this hotel if you don’t eat chicken.

Very good hotel & specially service at Master class, have been sending few groups to this hotel and was coordinating with Niroshan ( FOM), very helpful and giving his & his co best service... food & restaurant staff also very Good , special thank goes to Niro , RM , Kasthuri (GRO).. Stayed here for three nights. Rooms are okay. Can be better. Service was fabulous though. Cleaner linen is a must. Location... Location... Conveniently placed, easy to get around the city and the islands from here....

Loved the service firstly, good ambience & the food tasted good! We had hot batter cuttle fish & chicken fried rice. The cuttle fish tasted decent. Love to visit again, worth the money :)

My stay at Tilko was great. The room was super clean and the food at the restaurant was also good. Have to mention the staff since everyone was so friendly and helpful. Appreciate the service given by the staff. The bar facility was also good. Overall it was a zero-complaint experience and I would recommend Tilko to any tourist wishing to stay at the Jaffna city area for a reasonable price.

First of all, staff listened to the customer and show respect to the customer’s suggestions. Very clean spot on rooms, restaurant with polite staff. Nothing to complain. 👏👏👏👍

Our stay in Tilko was awesome. The room was fine, Air-conditioned was super too. But the room was not sound-proof. Though, their foods they server at their restaurant made me forgetting all the cons in our stay! I should give a special mention to their foods at restaurant! Soup, appetizers, main meals are all too good and fine! Especially, Pittu koththu, Hot and Sour chicken soup 😍 I will visit Tilko again to taste their foods mainly!

Got 1 X Chicken kottu, 1 X Seafood String hoppers kottu and mutton curry for takeaway and this restaurant charges service charge for take away orders. service charges do not apply to takeaway orders, but this restaurant does and not very happy.

We were desperately searching for a place to stay in 25th Christmas day in Jaffna. However every good hotel was booked. Several hotels though were available, their standards were very well below the expected. Tilko City hotel just came to our survival. Wonderful hotel located in the heart of Jaffna, 600m to Fort, 1.1km to Nallur Kovil and Muceum and Library within short distance, is really served our purpose. Rooms are clean, neat and comfortable. Electric lift is available and a dedicated restaurant is also available with set menu and sumptuous range of food.

Worst Rooms. Poor maintenance. Ambience is really bad. Room looks very old. Washrooms are not maintained well. Tge whole place smells bad. The management is not good enough to handle. Only the exterior of the hotel, i.e the garden is adorable. The whole place is to be renovated.

Went only for lunch. Food was not in the expected quality and arrived late. Dishes weren't as appealing as they used to be. Many salads were unavailable at 2 p.m. Overall a disappointment. But staff were friendly. The dining hall could use better decor. The whole place had a drab feel. A lot of room for improvement... If you're looking for just a classy place to eat...this could be a risky choice. As of February 2022. But a few years back the food used to be great...

For a Good Vacation, they have CHARTY Beach resort as well. Love to travel back!

In particular, the guy who is on night duty ( an old man) was very helpful. We stayed for 2 nights. On our last night, there was a partying crowd in the next room, which was very loud and disturbing.Other than that, all was OK. The rooms are big but the toilet shower is not working.

The mutton biryani is super tasty. Mix rice not bad.

The best service ever in Jaffna region. The foods are so delicious especially "Mutton paal curry" Very friendly staffs here. You may suggest the songs to play while you enjoying your drinks with friends.

Hotel was worth the price. Rooms are not the best, but clean and usable. Staff and service was excellent, they do their best to help. The breakfast buffet wasn't fabulous, but it was a tasty local spread. The property is quite old so don't have big expectations. The greatest plus was the location, with the fort on one side and the market on the other, both within walking distance. The rooftop has a good view. Would recommend the hotel to budget travellers.

It was a memorable stay at Tilko Hotel. Everything was perfect. We received great hospitality. Satheesh & the front office reservation team gave me big support in do the reservation and the necessary arrangements. without their support, I will not be able to success my group booking successfully. and special thanks go to Sujithan. He was showing a one-man show everywhere. dedicated person. at the end of every day, I saw the tiredness on his face. much appreciate his service dedicated to the Hotel. Rooms were very spacious, clean & tidy. The food was delicious. We loved the Jaffna cuisine prepared according to our menu which we discussed earlier. the staff working at the restaurant was amazing. We saw their quickness to give us a better service. All were kind enough to serve us politely. All the staff of the Hotel greeted us. had nice smiles on their faces every time. Thanks for everything.

Worth for the money we spent. Room (family) is OK & and we stayed 3 days. All the required facilities are there. Located in middle of the Jaffna City. Close to railway station (1km) Staff is also very helpful, they speek sinhala also. The food in there resturent is a bit expensive. As we booked the room only, we were free to have food from outside. Considering overall experience we had, can highly recommend the hotel. I take this opportunity to Thank Tilco Hotel for helping me to spend my trip in jaffna with my wife & two children comfortably. Staying at the hotel for 4 days now. Had a function here and a lot more. The staff was very friendly and supporrive. Specially Mr. Niroshan was there all throughout the program and well prior to that being a huge support. Restaurant staff, the reception, technical supprtive officers all were very helpful. Even though the hotel has maintenance issues. We stayed at the hotel for three days. We had a training session for four days at Tilko. The staff was very friendly and supportive. Especially, Mr. Niroshan was there all throughout the program and well prior to that, being a huge support.
