One of the best places to stay in Jaffna. Raj is such a generous and warm personality who brings a distinct charm to the experience. Rooms are clean and rates are very reasonable.

My wife and I recently stayed at De Villa garden in Jaffna for two nights and had an amazing experience. The staff, especially Raj, were incredibly kind and made us feel like we were at home. They even helped us get affordable taxis during our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, with two comfortable beds. We highly recommend De Villa garden to anyone without hesitation.

Very hygienic guest house with very friendly hosts. Quite peaceful neighborhood as well. The location is walking distance to Punkankulam railway station and junction . If you are on a budget and want to save a few tuk tuk rides to the town, check public bus and train schedules first thing you arrive at Jaffna. Jaffna - Kodikamam is the bus you should be taking if so.

Very quiet and spacious room with an excellent mattress inducing sleep. The breakfast was out of the world: delicious, varied, bountiful. I don't remember having the same breakfast twice in my 5 days stay. Raj, the owner, was extremely helpful and understanding. At the end of my stay, I felt I stayed at the house of a friend and not a hotel.

The best accommodation we‘ve had till now (we are already 4 weeks in Sri Lanka)!!! We can definitely recommend it and would definitely stay here again!! Accommodation: downstairs is a nice terrace where people can sit together. There is also a tea and coffee station and you are free to make yourself a tee/coffee. The vibe in this hostel is so relaxing and welcoming, I felt immediately comfortable. Location: perfect! We were everywhere in a 5 minute tuk tuk drive which Raj organised for us and he took care of that it was not overpriced (so it was cheaper than usual for us tourists). It is really not necessary staying directly at the center of Jaffna because there are only a few things to see which is easily done in one day. The exploration of the nature around Jaffna is possible with a scooter or a day rent of a tuk tuk (which also Raj helped organising). Rooms: clean and simple rooms, comfortable beds with comfortable pillows, Aircon, clean bathroom with hot water. The owner Raj: he is super nice, he really puts his heart and soul in this place. He is the main reason (next to everything else) why we liked this accommodation so much. He is also very helpful and can give a lot of information, he helped us rent a scooter and told us a lot about Jaffna and the islands around. Also he organised tuk tuks for a reasonable price and helped us order food (we wanted to stay in that night). If you want to know more about Sri Lankan people and their traditions just have a chat with him, he is a very open person and can tell you a lot about everything you‘re interested at. Breakfast: amazing!!!! Local, fresh breakfast and it changes every day! If you want to try a local Jaffna breakfast you should try it! It’s so tasty. Also I saw other guests eating a western breakfast (it also looked delicious), so both is possible. Very reasonable price.

Nice and clean place although it might be a little simple for some. The best thing about this place is the host who is a really honest guy that can help you arrange tours and transportation at an honest prize. He can also provide you with a lot of information about jaffna and the surrounding area. So make sure to take some time and have a little chat.
