    Beautiful place to go specially during good weather like winter to take the long walk over the dam and then go down and take the beautiful boat ride. we were here in the month of November with huge group of 60 ppl. The place where we stayed is called panchet residency which has small cottages type room which are good in different sizes we were here for two nights. We enjoyed this place because of it beautiful location.

    The most awesome place that I have ever visited. A dam,some temples close to the dam,a park beside the dam.a hill a few kilometer far from the dam, the remaining of a 9th century made fort on the hill,lots of flora and fauna around the dam,boating facility,lots of resorts at the bottom of the hill and even on the hill may make you have the most royal vacation in the lap of nature.

    Panchet Dam was built in the British period and was inaugurated by Jawaharlal Nehru it also produces electricity by hydroelectricity process rest of all the park has been closed and not maintained by the DVC earlier it was a very good place 4 tourist The most awesome place that I have ever visited.     It is very beautiful place. A park call Nehru park which is nearly in this place. One another park which call Snake park is also nearly in this place.it is proper place for picnic.

    It's a mega dam on damodar river. An engineering Marvell. Very beautiful place for picnic.

    One of the best picnic spot Near garpanchakot there is also snake park in panchet dam..Photography near dam is prohibited
