Stopped in for dinner and had a great meal. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu offering great recommendations. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. The dishes were delicious. This place is elegant with an awesome vibe. Excellent food. Menu is extensive and seasonal to a particularly high standard. Definitely fine dining. It can be expensive but worth it

A great restaurant where you can go for special occasions with a train theme, with a choice of sitting inside the train bogey or outside. Sitting inside you can enjoy serene quite and enjoy your own time with your family / better half. Outside you can enjoy food with the live music. A vegetarian's delight - eggless desserts. The only reason for 4 stars is that the food was not exceptional like you would generally expect in fine dines.

I love this place...!!! It's ambience make me visit this place often. Though the food is really expensive, but it's fair enough as its a five star property ofcourse. We ordered falafal in Desi style and it was delicious. Also you must try their Woodburn pizza's...they are so good. You can go both during dusk time when sun is setting down n you can see and hear beautiful peacocks hovering around. At night you can enjoy the beautiful feel of train and the candle light dinner 💓 So it's a must recommended place in jaipur and if don't wanna spend hefty amount ...just order a single dish and enjoy the moment.

A truly delightful experience dining at the Steam restaurant. Childhood memories travelling by train were rekindled sitting in the train. My kids just loved the experience 😀 If you are traveling without kids i would suggest sitting out in the open, with live music. The food was delicious, the chef and the staff made sure we were fed well. Pasta and pizza is a must with some great wine.

The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, the pictures do it no justice. The food was really good. The staff, Abhishek and Priya and the manager Vishal were extremely kind and attentive, they even organised something super special for my mom's birthday and made it so memorable.

The place is so so pretty, topped with good food and amazing service. We were served by Mr. Magan and Mr. Arnab and I have no words to express gratitude to them for their humble service. Definitely visiting this place again and recommending to everyone. They even provided us complimentary sweets and cake to make our celebration more special!

Unique restaurant, excellent food and wonderful service. The Steam restaurant comes with three original train compartments which are well decorated. The ambience is very pleasant and one can spend a relaxed evening. The food and drinks are unique and very tasty. The restaurant staff provide wonderful service and price is reasonable too.

Steammmmm…… a vintage train converted into a beautiful bar/dine in/ resto lounge. It’s got a new platform too to accommodate some more seating. Then there are heritage rooms to host you. Drinks are splendid. Their bartender is fabulous. If you have been to Italy or are an Italian, do try the pizza here. You’re bound to forget what you had in Italy, it’s that mind blowing. Kudos Chef !!!

We went for our anniversary and they made sure that we had the best dining experience. Everything we ordered was made perfect. We had thai tofu satay, custom pizza, and steam special sampler. Chocolate fudge cake was the best we had in a long time.

It is extremely difficult to get a table booking here on weekends. So if you planning to go here please make the booking 2-3 days in advance. It is located within the locality of the Rambagh Palace and it has most beautiful surroundings. The staff is polite and make sure you are comfortable. Though the service was a bit slow. The food is amazing, though the food options are bit limited. Liquor options are expensive. They have live music on usually. Sitting is both outside and inside. If you like you can sit inside the train as well for change of ambience and experience. Must go atleast once.

And if you are going proper dinner food then it's not available here. 5. It's like an Italian restaurant. 6. Overall bheviour of staff is good. 7. But The food price is not justify its price... Interesting place.. they have used an old railway steam engine and attached a few bogies and turned it to a restaurant. They have a mutli-cuisine menu and the oriental platter was excellent, except for the spring rolls. The thin crust pizza was also very good and well baked. Service impeccable, just you would expect from The Taj. 4/5

Very good theme, great food, great ambience in winter months! Go early to enjoy outdoor seating or make prior reservations. Decently priced, not exorbitant in anyway! Hospitality and Service always impeccable, standard for most Taj properties! Palace was also beautiful!!!

It’s a restored steam engine with luxurious coaches, converted to an upmarket Mediterranean restaurant. The ambience is top class. Experience is out of the world. Even if you are not staying at Taj Rambaug Palace, this is the place to visit and have great food and drinks there - totally worth it. The brick oven pizza are too good and so are the pastas and cocktails. They have live music as well. Book a table outside the train (mention it while you book)- it’s much better on a cool evening than sitting in the coach itself.

Service is damn good, stewards are professionals here and will for sure make you feel more comfy. Focus is more on food presentation instead of taste, though food is also decent. Definitely a place for fresh dates. 🥂

Expensive. If you're visiting from outside India, the food might not be the best choice as similar options are available in pubs. The appeal is more geared towards the local crowd. I'd recommend exploring elsewhere if you're looking for an authentic local food experience. Nevertheless, the ambiance is pleasant. We chose a table in one of the compartments due to the December chill.

Only an idiot can write negative review after such an positive experience. Great food, natural ambiance (you can literally listen to the peacocks), feels like you are on a railway station and its 90's. Its an unforgettable experience.

All for ambience and the rich cultural feel of Rajasthan and the unique realisation of an original steam engine connected to the train coaches which are actually the dine in place .it has a platform view and also has a waiting lounge as a dine in place along with a live kitchen and a bar and a wood fired pizza oven which is again live . The stay was very pleasing and comfortable. I did not face any problem while staying in the hotel. The staff were like friends and they helped and respected everyone. Very well designed and located restaurant. The train. The station and the platform are well designed. It was a chilly evening and the bin fort and heaters provided relief. Food was quite good. Space in the train on table is a bit congested.

Really amazing dinner here. The staff were so welcoming and helpful while the food was exceptional. We would highly recommend the chilli chicken, mushroom soup and the bullseye for dessert. Only negative I can think of was that it's a bit pricey, but worth it for the meal we got... especially in the novel setting of a train carriage!
