Disappointing Experience at Chokhi Dhani: A Far Cry from its Former Glory Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ I recently visited Chokhi Dhani with high hopes, reminiscing about the good times I had there seven years ago. Unfortunately, my recent experience left me deeply disappointed. It seems that the quality of food and services has taken a significant downturn since my last visit. Firstly, let's talk about the two types of entry tickets available - the 900 and 1100 rupee options. The only difference between them is the waiting time. With the 900 rupee ticket, you are subjected to long queues reminiscent of a last-day rush for a government scheme. It's frustrating to spend so much time waiting just to enter. Once inside, finding a suitable seating arrangement becomes another challenge. While I appreciated the traditional ambience and seating arrangements, it was disheartening to see guests struggling to secure a place to sit comfortably. Now let's discuss the most crucial aspect - the food. To put it bluntly, the taste was abysmal across almost all items served. It's evident that little effort is put into maintaining quality or ensuring customer satisfaction. What's even more infuriating is that they forcefully serve every item in subsequent rounds, regardless of whether you liked it or not. This results in an unnecessary waste of food, which is truly shameful on their part. The services at Chokhi Dhani are equally disappointing. From start to finish, it feels like they lack any genuine interest in providing a pleasant experience for their guests. Tips are supposedly not allowed according to their signage, but it becomes apparent that without tipping, you won't receive satisfactory service. In summary, visiting Chokhi Dhani now feels like falling into a scam trap rather than enjoying an authentic cultural experience as it used to be seven or eight years ago. The decline in food quality and wastage issues are major concerns that need immediate attention from management. I regretfully conclude that Chokhi Dhani is no longer worth visiting in its current state.

This place has taken a great downfall in terms of experience that they offer. There is an entry fee, but even after that everything inside is chargeable. I have been to other similar farms that do not charge a single penny other than the entry charge. Everything is inclusive in the main charge and they offer plenty of things which are absent here, like there are small snack counters, cultural food counters every few metres. They offer many animal rides, but every ride, every experience is chargeable. It is more of a shopping complex with some adventure now. Every place has sign boards of "No tops", but that's just a showpiece, every artist asks for tips after the performance. Coming to food, the quality of food is pathetic now and not worth the price of 900 or 1100 or 1500 entry charge. The experience and culture is depicted in a good way. That's the only plus here. Rest everything is buried by the money minded staff and owner. They are taking this amazing experience to new low heights.

We did not stay at Chokhi Dhani. Only purchased dining and village experience tickets. Ticket price is 1100 to 1700 depending on the type of dining experience and all tickets include village experience. We went with the basic and traditional style dinner option. Village experience was great. We watched and participated in dances, magic show etc. Bazaar is also great and prices are very reasonable. I wish we had arrived at 5pm and kept 3 hours just for the village alone. Food was super tasty but too too much. Management needs to control the portion size and let guests ask for more if they want. Two bites of each dish is good enough. We felt bad for wasting so much food. They also need to tone down the spice level. My stomach was on fire by the end of the meal. Kids were barely able to eat anything. However we loved the hospitality, servers very nice and were connecting with guests with humor and kindness. Overall a great experience but I’d love for management to consider village only tickets and stalls for Rajasthani food sampling. That would attract more people like me who don’t like all you can eat buffets as that can leave you overwhelmed.

It's a great place in Jaipur a must visit. The entry ticket cost you 800 per person in that food and many other activities are included. For kids more than 3.5 ft full ticket is applicable. Opens by 5.30 pm to 10 or around 10.30. Inside you can get a small rajasthan. Boating, camel ride, elephant ride, horse ride, tunnel, folk dancers performing at 2 to 3 places. Your kids can see learn and make clay pots, goods from iron and lots more . Lots of small eatry counters are there. Some are free and for some you have to pay 20 to 30 rs. Lots of games are there for kids in only 5 to 10 rs. It's a huge Rajasthani village like experience inside the choki dhani jaipur. The food is awesome you can eat unlimited as buffet system is there, more than 10 to 12 varities of dishes are there. There is a resort also you can stay there also. It's a good experience. Overall amazing experience it adds a must visit point in jaipur trip.

Very nice place to enjoy with kids.. but it costly for kids. I taken 1300rs ticket for my 9 years kids also, which feeling waste. And for my 5 years kids paid 800. Positive point is , if you reach on time at 5 pm then you have sufficient time to enjoy with your family. Please don't rush for food early. Enjoy lighting also in this village. Food taste awesome. Lots of variety.

Entry ticket :₹800 for adult and ₹500 for kids. A very well situated place and an excellent place for kids as well as adults to know about culture and history of Rajasthan. Plenty of activities for kids such as camel ride, elephant ride, bullock and horse ride boat riding are worth to mention. You can enjoy folk dance and local food are must to try(though you have to pay in addition to entry ticket). You can either eat at buffet(self service) or another seating are where you will be served by well mannered staff(after a long waiting )

The thing of my Rajasthan trip, a must place to visit its full of taste and culture So, beautifully maintained the dining space, performers, stalls games the helping gesture , everything was best. They charge 1000/adult and 750 /child and it include all the cultural program they show and food. Few suggestions for travelers *Keep you tummy little empty before you visit because they serve a lot of variety and Quantity so you might regret if you won't be able to try it all. *Come prepared to spend atleast 3hrs there because there is a lot to see and experience apart from the tasty dinner. *The games for Rs 5 each but they will continuously keep you busy to play the game , so you might end up paying a lot more. *No body will ask you for tips directly but you can guess with their gestures that we want some tips, but its all on you.

Chokidhani is the best place to visit with your family or friends. It is like a small town where you can easily spend 3-4 hours by going through various activities and shows going on there. There are also sections where they have shown the history very beautifully. The food is also very tasty and good, they way they make you eat with love is outstanding. Highly recommend to visit if you are planning to visit Jaipur.

Loved this place. Complete entertainment. Cultural programs, Camel Ride, Elephant Rides, Boat Rides, Big Slides n swings for kids. Very cheap games like throwing ring, balls, shooting and many more. Do visit those palmists (astrologer) (only 50bucks) Genuine people. National State's Museum - Very Good Best Part - The FOOD. Totally authentic Rajasthani food and that to be very tasty. We took 800 rs ticket n buffet was included in that.

We went with family here for dinner and absolutely loved the vibe. There is dancing, singing, games, and all sorts of traditional entertainment. There are temples from all over India built here as well just like they are in their original location. The food was excellent, the servers were making jokes and having conversations while feeding us. 10/10 would recommend to go around 6 when they open so you can experience all the entertainment there before dinner.

Lovely place and nice ambience. The key is to go around 6:30 pm in evening, have a look around and have early dinner. Till the time you have dinner it'll be about 8 pm and then you can enjoy the different cultural variety this place has to offer. Food quality is good (but not excellent). Lot of places to shop, many places and event which even our little ones will enjoy. But just be careful as there may be huge crowd during the holidays and festive season. Stay safe !

Perfect getaway to enjoy all the flavours of Rajasthan at a single place with friends and family. Starting from the ambience, dresses, infrastructure and food, everything is made ethnic which showcases Rajasthan culture at a very reasonable price (Around 500 for adults). To enjoy the place well follow the following guidelines :- (a) Reach the place on time as it requires much time to complete the trip thoroughly (b) Don't waste time at a single place or in line, cover as many locations in the first two hours (c) Click as many pictures as possible (d) Have a light lunch and Keep space for food as there are many dishes served (e) Enjoy Camel ride and watch magic show whenever possible (f) Keep track of your belongings (g) If you reach early, take photos as light would not be that good in the later half All the best 👍

Visited this place on 13th August 2022 night with Family. Less than a star rating. Shame on them. They insulted every person and RAJASTHANI CULTURE. They are making fool of peoples. Third class food , ambience , service etc. Peoples are begging for food. Everything was paid inside even after paying 800/- rupees for ticket. Most of the family's are regetting there as 100 of people are fighting for refund. Manager is making fool of people. Pls go there on your own risk. Not good for family and friends. Google review not allowing to post videos here else i would have post it. Thank you.

In short if you are visiting Jaipur, it is a must visit! We opted for a royal dining experience- rupees 1000 per person and it definitely was worth it! Food was incredible, staff was very friendly, musicians were great and the ambiance was perfect! The whole village itself was amazing and I felt very proud showing around and sharing my experience with my husband‘s family from uk. The whole village scene with dances, magic shows, games, food stalls, history etc etc is so well done!

Amazing place. If you haven't experienced village Life then you have to come here. Good management and a lot of area for secured parking. Staff behaviour is also good and supportive. Dinner is amazing and too much heavy for single person. Elephant/camel & horse ride at chipper price and I can believe it . Its fantastic.

The first and foremost thing that MUST be stopped here is people who are asking for tips. You enter this place paying 900rs per person minimum and the food is okayish according to taste. The waiters were extremely well-behaved while serving but we understood later that this was all just for additional tips. There are magicians, dancers, lots of games inside but you have to pay extra for everything. So much money spent for a few good photos is not worth it according to me. Would never visit again.

We were 10 persons who stayed for 1 day at Chokhi Dhani, our stay was very thrilling and fully satisfactory. I came here for the 1st time whereas some of my friends had come here earlier. Meals, all, were very very tasty and enjoyable. We all had spent most of the our time together exploring all locations inside the complex. It was out of this world experience. Thoroughly enjoyed. It was a good experience. Rooms were well maintained, clean and spacious including the washroom. The swimming pool was well maintained and the ambience is just too good. Food from outside is not allowed. So we had lunch in one of the restaurant inside and that was a very bad experience. They served cold rice and the service was not quick. The staff were apologetic but it does not serve the purpose when the rates are so high. However, the evening village fair was amazing. The authentic dinner served was good and the activities were nice. Good entertaining place for kids with animal rides. Must visit place with family.

One of the best places to visit in Jaipur which showcase the complete Rajasthani culture. It is located in outer skirts of jaipur eluding the heavy traffic of the city. The entry charge is minimal which is of buffet from 1k for rajasthani thali and 1.3 K around for multi cuisine thali. It is a huge area and one can see the different dance forms and traditional music on display with beautiful scenic galore. You can go for boating as well. It opens everyday in evening at around 5 pm and closes by 11 PM at night.

My experience at Chokhi Dhani Resort was nothing short of a complete disappointment. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the resort was utterly disorganized. The check-in process was chaotic, with staff members running around frantically and no proper system in place to manage the influx of guests. The biggest letdown was the food. Considering the exorbitant price of the buffet, I expected nothing but the best. However, what I encountered was a selection of stale, cold dishes that lacked any flavor or quality. It was evident that the food had been sitting out for hours, as nothing tasted fresh or appetizing. I was appalled that a supposedly reputable resort would serve such subpar cuisine. To make matters worse, the service and waiting staff were incredibly poor. They seemed disinterested in assisting guests and lacked any sense of professionalism. It was nearly impossible to flag down a server or get any attention from the staff. The lack of attentiveness and care further added to the disappointment of the entire experience. In addition, there was no traditional feel to the place. Chokhi Dhani Resort claims to provide an authentic cultural experience, but all I witnessed was chaos and disarray. The atmosphere lacked the charm and warmth one would expect from a traditional resort. It felt more like a poorly managed cafeteria than a place that prides itself on showcasing local traditions. To add insult to injury, the pricing for this lackluster experience was outrageous. The resort charged a whopping Rs. 1800 per person, which is significantly higher than other options available in the area. For such a hefty price, I expected excellence, but what I received was far from it. It's absurd to pay double the amount for a below-average experience when there are traditional kitchens offering much better quality at only Rs. 900. Overall, my visit to Chokhi Dhani Resort was an absolute disappointment. The utter disorganization, stale cold food, poor service, lack of traditional ambiance, and inflated pricing all contribute to a disastrous experience. I would strongly advise anyone considering a visit to this resort to think twice and explore other, more authentic options available in the area.

A must-visit for anyone who wants to experience Rajasthani cuisine and culture in the best way possible. A ton of activities, and so many points to get yourself clicked, rides, and events ( bonus if you go on festivals). Every staff is courteous and helpful, Also, an excellent place to shop around. Just be careful of the count while playing, as it can add up pretty quickly(business tactics). Rest apart, it's just fabulous.

Best place to enjoy weekend with friends and family. Go early to enjoy to the fullest and stay for 3-4 hours. Food is delicious but heavy. No way you can finish what is served 👀 Dinner could have some waiting time on busy days. So might need to get token number to book your dinner slot.

A good representation of a village setup. Entry comes along with food at 800 but compared to other Rajasthani cuisine places which I have visited I think there can be much more made with the taste and variety. Also, the time when I had visited was a rainy day and there were no backup made at food area making people run around to take shelter ignoring food.

Its a good place to visit once. Specially with the kids. Points to remember, well maintained place absolutely beautiful. They have lots of activities to explore. You will feel kind of a village fair there. With minimal rates lots of things to explore. The only concern which I felt is, for the activities like dance, puppet show, magic show.. they will expect a money from you while its directly written there no money. But again not sure about their and owner's earnings, so fair from their side but you might feel awkward sometimes.

Stayed here for 5 nights in November. This was my first trip to India and staying in this resort was a special treat! I loved the atmosphere, the design of the resort and the village fair. So much to see and explore!! The dinner buffet was extensive and delicious (my only improvement idea would be to have the dishes marked as to their level of spiciness, for Westerners like me), and breakfast as well. My cottage was very close to the evening entertainment, so it was definitely not quiet in the evenings, but the music was nice enough that I didn't mind being sung to sleep. Anybody who is more sensitive to noise may want to ask for a room further back in the property, though. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice, big. and clean My main problem was the lack of window panes. With the air quality in Jaipur being as horrendous as it was, I would have really preferred to be able to close windows without having to lock out all the light with the heavy shutters. But if I ever come back to Jaipur I would definitely stay here again! P.S.: Yes, the pool really looks like in the pictures!

This place is about witnessing Rajasthani food and tradition. The place is little bit crowed. There is a market inside this place. And you can enjoy Rajasthan traditional dance and all. Entry ticket comes along with food. There are 2 options you can select for food. One being non Ac dining and another being AC dining hall. There is waiting for food most of the time. There are various cultural activities in this place. You can enjoy camel and elephant ride and play various games. Best to visit in the evening.

Visiting Chokhi Dhani was something we planned when we first came to Jaipur but it's hard to go there as its out of the city and there are transport issues. The ticket is expensive considering you'll have to pay for almost everything inside. The food was nice and the people serving the food were also kind. I recommend to go by bus or personal transport as going there by cap can be hefty. Also take smaller currencies with as none of the people inside don't seem to be having change. Inside, it gives you vibes as if you're visiting a rural village 50-100 years ago. It was a nice experience overall...

We booked for Chokhi Dhani village area, all I would say food was good but what I hates was elephants, camels, horses and parrots been used for entertainment. Simply an act of 'Animal Exploitation', how one can promote this? Why promoting those non-sense rides? Elephants are meant to be in forest areas and live happily same wise the camels should be in desserts. Shame on people who exploit or take away the freedom of these voiceless souls for their own earnings and profit. Promote humans working to earn their daily bread than animals been used or scolded or hit for doing something they are not supposed to do.

This was our 3rd visit in last 12 years. we visited 12 Feb,2022. Food quality as well as staff's warmth has become *LOW*. We had a night stay too. Buffe breakfast was just okay. Omelettes were undercooked. One positive thing, I would like to share. We celebrated our friends birthday there in their separate hall. Mr. Veer & their team made the day very special. Many Thanks & blessings to them. Regards

Beautiful experience I had in here. We took a 900₹ ticket and explored the place and had the tasty food served here. There was a waiting line for the food but if you don't want to wait in lines you can go for the option of buffet. You can see the beautiful dances and other performance for free. Food stalls and clothes and accessory shop are also here. You can also do camel rides, elephant rides, horse rides and Bullock card rides here. Overall it's a joyful experience

Beautiful resort, worth the pricey cost. Rooms were beautiful and ethnically decorated. Buffet was good although options were a bit limited. Too many mosquitoes, worth carrying your mosquito repellent. Staff were all extremely helpful except the manager who was very rude, obnoxious and unhelpful. When asked to speak to his supervisor, he bluntly replied ‘they’re not available today, it’s the weekend’ !!! Can’t believe this from a 5* hotel, hence my 3* review.

Located at outer skirts of Jaipur(pink city). This is amazing property to stay and spend quality times with friends and family. Very nice accommodation and services. A very beautiful swimming pool and open space with lots of seating area.

Excellent concept. Must see this location when in Jaipur. At this location, one might easily spend 3–4 hours. In this location, they have attempted to create a miniature version of Rajasthan. The setting is wonderful. You get a decent idea of the vibrant Rajasthani culture through it. You can take part in a variety of activities such as camel and elephant rides, games, handicrafts, food, history, and traditional music and dance in this dynamic and vibrant environment. The personnel deserves praise. The food is excellent quality, and the service is excellent.

The food was good and the overall theme is great. When they first started everything was included in the ticket price but now they charge for everything even though the rides just takes 3 mins. Also the people keep asking for tips even though they have signs everywhere that tips are against the policy. Definitely worth visiting though. I wish they had more lighting in the night. It's really dark at night and hard to see anything or make good pictures. I have a feeling that If you go during the early weekdays there is a chance there will be less crowd and the food might taste better as the cooks might be less stressed.

Choki Dhani is one good place to live one full day in rich Rajasthani culture. They have this beautiful place depicting every good thing of Rajasthan as well as their customs. There is enough parking, you reach their and buy tickets. Tickets are 700 Rajasthani thali),1100(Royal),1500(multicuisine). I bought the 700 ticket and the only difference is food in all tickets. Though if you want to enjoy Rajasthani food then go for 700rs ticket only. The place is big and there are a number of attractions, games, music, tribal dance, ghoomar dance, representation of Haldighati yuddh, museum, articrafts, shops, camel ride, baki khud explore kr lena, etc. It's recommended for any kind of group and a very healthy environment for children. Timings are 5-11pm, so take a room nearby or inside it if you can afford, everything is mesmerizing. If you go to Jaipur then one evening should be spent here.

One of the most amazing experiences I have ever had as something with rich culture and enjoying rajasthni cuisine but food is decent but still hospitality is great and you can experience different places of Rajasthan in one go and good place for kids and yes once in a while price is justified

This is a great place to go for a evening, to enjoy good Rajasthani food, music and activities. Would recommend to choose the buffet dinner although it’s the most expensive option. The buffet had a varied selection of food and tasty as well. The restaurant also had live music. The kalagram - selling clothes and handicrafts is worth a visit. You can buy customised scarfs with prints of your choice from the shop selling block printed materials. Initially we were skeptical about visiting this place as it seemed too touristy, but I’m glad we visited it. We had a really nice evening there.

I try to visit the place every time I am in Jaipur. Gives you an authentic cultural experience from the hospitality to the ambience to the food. The massage was a relaxing experience, just be aware while playing the gamest thou the price us quite nominal they might charge you for more than what you played. The food is the highlight of the place providing authentic Rajasthani delicacies. It’s a great place to learn about our history and also has a state wise cultural setup. From the magic show to the fire show and also the display of dance dressed in the traditional attire is a wholesome experience.

A themed park in jaipur, a rajasthani culture represents here and you will get a taste of rajasthani foods as well. So the journey was so good and the environment over there was very joyful. The approx distance of Choki Dhani from different travel moods are mentioned below: Sindhu Bus Terminal - 22 km Jaipur Railway Station - 19 km Jaipur Airport - 9 km Entry fee: You can book online or offline by reaching the counter there. Fee maybe vary time to time thats why am not mentioning it here. So, lets begin the journey. So the welcoming in choki dhani was decent and when you enter the place in night it looks more beautiful. There are lots of entertainment things are there like tasty local food, massage, dance group, singing groups, Museum, Camel Rides, Magic show, Katputli Show and many more things are there to explore. Dinner: the dinner is also included in the ticket in which you will get the taste of local foods ( i love malpua a sweet dish) you can click pictures by wearing the local pagadis. But yes be careful coz some of the waiters n people will ask for money as a tip so give or not it's totally up to your pocket. Rest, please keep clean the places you visit and throw your waste items in dustbins only. Clean Bharat, Green Bharat. Save trees and grow trees.

It's a good place for family outing however the food experience was pretty bad. Complimentary breakfast didn't seem to be that of a 5 star hotel/resort. Parathas were reheated instead of preparing fresh. Same goes for tea, it was horrible since tea was reheated(makes it bitter and poisonous). Rest of the food items were below average. Rooms were pretty decent and entire place gives you a traditional vibe. The village is a good place with multiple shades of Rajasthan. Good place for kids' entertainment. You have to take an entry ticket(costs around 1000 bucks) to visit it however it's complimentary for people staying at resort.

The ambience is great. It gives you a good glimpse of the rich Rajasthani culture. The environment is very vibrant and lively where you can enjoy a host of activities like traditional music and dance, games, handicrafts, food, history, camel & elephant rides, etc. However, we found it a bit too crowded and the food could have been better too. Also, since it is such a beautiful place, I think, in winters especially, it can be opened even during the daytime instead of evening. That ways, it would be more enjoyable.

Great place for someone who is coming first time to Jaipur and want to experience all of Rajasthan in just one place. Food is awesome, servers and service are both amazing There are so many activities to do inside that you'll not be able to complete everything. You can stay at the resort inside which has an amazing restaurant and the highlight is the Bar. Must visit if you're in Jaipur.

An exeptional and luxurious oasis with outstanding service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms a very cute and well equipped. Everything is clean and made to a high standard. The entire hotel complex is amazing with so many cute decorations to discover. The food is great and plentiful. The staff is very friendly and accommodating with the service absolutely outstanding. Access to a pool, spa and the ethnic village park rounds of this amazing experience and more than makes up for the fact that it is a bit far from the city center. All in all a great experience.

Not aware if they have rooms but the service and quality of food is good. They charged 900 per person for the buffet service or just dinner but that seems a little expensive. Overall a good place to visit for Jaipur tourists.

One of the best places to visit in Jaipur. In line with the likes of Dilli Haat, this place showcases Rajasthani culture and hospitality to its fullest. The place is filled with endless tastes of culture and activities and the variety is too good to experience in a day. However, the star of the show is the food. You just cannot finish off the platter but get reminded of the flavour and the aroma of the Desi ghee, the next morning. Wonderful place overall.

This place is quite famous. One time must visit sort of destination. But for repeated visits, following reviews may be useful: 1. Food taste, variety etc remain same all the time 2. The servers have a set pattern to serve you, they don’t bother for customised serving 3. No new activity added for years 4. Almost all activities are paid (but priced reasonably, perhaps to manage the crowd) 5. In summer, don’t enter before 7 pm.

This place is awesome and a Must visit for those who have never seen it before. Service, ambiance and everything is just too good. I have deducted 1 ⭐ because of it's pricing. It's over priced and for kids, they have the height system to more that 4-5 years kids, you have to buy a full ticket, which is on a higher side. Apart from dinner they charge for everything, which is also not justified, if I have to pay for every ride and every game, what's the point of taking tickets of RS. 900 or 1500/-🤔

Excellent place to visit for at least half day as 1-2hr is waste of money. Here they need to offer discount on kids below 15years for worth to visit with family & friends . Meals are quite good & amount is huge so take in appropriate to avoid wastage.

Chokhi Dhani is great if you want to experience Jaipur culture and food in many different ways. They made a village where there are different traditional shows and food, jewelry, art and clothing stores. They also show you how they make the saree prints the traditional way. There are elephant and camel rides! The great thing is that you are safe, everything is fixed (and reasonable!) price, no haggling and no tips, which is very relaxing. The best thing about this place though is the service. Everyone is incredibly nice and helpful, and when I left something in their coat check they brought it to me in my hotel!! How incredibly kind! I definitely recommend it to everyone passing through Jaipur! Thank you Chokhi Dhani!!
