Good south Indian place, pretty famous and well known. Located in heart of city on MI Road. Food quality and taste both are good. Tried Dosa, Utappam and South Indian Thali. Utappam is little too small and thali veg quantity is too less. Asking again makes the server feel bad. Overall a good experience.

Situated on main road near Panch Batti, Ajmeri Gate. Parking can sometimes be an issue as it is a one way busy road with continuous vehicles running. The taste is authentic south specific, including all menu items. Friends and family friendly pure vegetarian restaurant, with enough seating space for more than 100 people at a time.

This top class eatery offers the most authentic South Indian delicacies . The Idly - dasa are mouth watering and so are the other preparations . Ample room for large groups - on 2 floors . Strictly vegetarian and no alcohol served . Excellent location on the trendy and upscale MI Road . Prices are high but worth the money as they only use coconut oil and ghee for cooking. Service needs to be better. No breakfast brunch. It opens only at 12:30 noon. Heave rush on weekends and there's difficulty for four wheeler parking.

One of the best places in Jaipur for South Indian Cuisine. Presently they have a limited menu due to Covid and not serving South Indian Thali. It may take some time to find a parking space.

I think I would always refer to this place when someone is going to ask me about authentic good quality south Indian food. I absolutely love the taste. The service too was good, the staff was polite and food was served on time. They have some great varieties in terms of South Indian cuisine. They also have jain options. I would highly recommend this place. It has great ambiance, marvelous service and delicious taste.

Dasaprakash serves truly authentic Mysore-style cuisine that takes you on a delightful culinary journey to South India. During our visit, we relished a variety of dishes, including idli, masala dosa, and a flavorful thali. To top off our meal, we indulged in a delicious coffee, which perfectly complemented the flavors of the food. Each dish we tried closely resembled the taste of South India, making the experience all the more enjoyable. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the epic sambar, which was bursting with flavors. Accompanied by fragrant rasam and perfectly cooked rice, it resulted in a mouthwatering combination that left us craving for more. Overall, our experience at Dasaprakash was excellent. The restaurant offers an authentic and unforgettable taste of Mysore-style cuisine. If you are a fan of South Indian food, this place is a must-visit.

If your benchmarks are MTR Bengaluru or Delhi's Sarvana Bhavan, etc. then you'll be disappointed. This restaurant serves basic/select South Indian dishes & not a very elaborate menu. So if you're just looking for Idli/Dosai/Vada etc. then it deserves a decent 4/5. It's definitely better than the South cuisines served at the recently opened Masala Chowk or at some famous hawker spots. Cost is a little on the higher side but it's understandable due to the brand & location. Space crunch is clearly visible when you enter, barely 5 tables on the floor & in case of a full-house, you can clearly hear the adjoining tables & even be a part of it if that's on your mind ;) But then, it's situated at MI Road, the busiest & heart-line of Jaipur so space crunch is something which is understandable. They have 3 floors though. Haven't tried Sagar Ratna yet, so maybe could post an edit after trying them. Staff is entirely from North but the Chefs & Manager are South Indian so there's nothing to blame on the taste front. It tastes authentic. Some of the staff members were wearing slippers, need grooming & some attention to hygiene. Coffee was served early during the meal instead at the end, could hear the Manager instructing from his desk to take it back & bring it later post the meal. Overall the staff was cooperative. A decent place to visit with the family.

We had dosa, medu vada and uttapam. We're disappointed. Two small medu vadas for Rs 280 and a smaller uttapam for Rs 340 seemed overpriced. Onions and tomatoes on uttapam were singed/burnt, may be due to hurried cooking. One needs to be patient while cooking uttapam. Sambar was devoid of essential ingredients excess water thereby affecting its taste. Overall no value for money.

just hyped place, orderd dosa...butter and podi . Both were average. I didn't liked the stuffed potato inside. TmChutney were ok. It's not for those who has tasted dosa in south india. Vadai was ok. It's not pocket friendly at all and the kind of taste they gave it's not worthy.

Decent place to have South Indian food. However they need better hygiene conditions for food preparation, as while dining with family, long thread of Hair was found in the curd. Also the staff was not very attentive, may be because of the routine rush they may be experiencing. Though we did. It encounter much rush.

This restaurant is a pure vegetarian restaurant. It is well-known for the South Indian food. When you look at the menu of the restaurant, it stimulates your taste buds. Also,it serves the North Indian dishes and some Chinese dishes, but its South Indian dishes are best. All the food is freshly prepared and also the way in which they represent the dish is best. Both the quality and of food will satisfy you completely.

Had wonderful time there. The food was delicious. A lot of snacks with main course was served in the buffet. The staff was good there. And a nice ambience with music. It will cost around 2000 for 2 persons or more depending upon the platter you choose. It serves both veg and non veg dishes

We heard lot about Dasaprakash it is not worth service is too slow. Ltd. variety in South Indian cuisine. Price is so high we have 600/- per person bill in South Indian can anyone imagine. When you went other South Indian food chain they offer paan as mouth freshener after food as complimentary here they charge for it also.

I have always had the best memorable experience here. There are many dishes but my favorite here is the Mysore Masala Dosa Chutney. The filter coffee still has its taste. There is no better place that is kept so clean. Inside is the best interior. We are satisfied with everything.

I and my family have always loved food at Dasaprakash however our experience today wasn’t great. The food we ordered today wasn’t authentic south Indian, lacked freshness and flavours. Also, the staff wasn’t concerned or made efforts to ensure our experience was not compromised. Not going back or recommending if you’re looking for Authentic South Indian Masala Dosas, Sambhar prep. The rest of the menu could still be great 😊

Great dosas and very friendly staff!! After all the North Indian food this was a great change of taste. Sambar was very good as well. I asked them also to not put so much oil on the dosa and it came out perfect! Also best fresh lime soda sweet salt I've had in India!

Average South Indian fare. Not the taste that you would get in a restaurant in Bangalore/Chennai/Bombay. But for the north Indian palate, this is pretty good. They give you unlimited chutneys and sambar. Priced are very steep with a limited menu. But it is better than Sagar Ratna for sure in terms of everything.

I used to really enjoy eating at Dasaprakash however things have tightened up there I guess due to Covid. I understand that it's been tough for restaurants over the past couple of years but I think it's a mistake to offer a thali with just one vegetable. Better to charge more and include two. Also bread was not available to order separately. I really hope that these problems are resolved soon and the thali offered is more generous with variety.

Wow - the best dosas We got Podi Paper (with pataka gunpowder inside!) Masala (my all time fave), Mysure Masala, Mysore plain … and buttermilk (with dhaniya hari mirch and adheak surprise), and topped it off with delicious filter coffee Wow - what a delightful meal! And fast and friendly service to boot too!

  • 2/5 Whoz G. 1 year ago on Google
It just another hype restaurant in the city. Two dosas can cost you ₹700, which is waste of money for staple food which is available in less than ₹100 everywhere. Being rich doesn't mean wasting money on things which is available for much less and maybe with better quality. Avoid at all cost.

Dasaprakash is located at MI road. Actually i missed an opportunity to try their food at Agra. So I tried this branch which was quite close to my stay at Jaipur. We ordered Mysore masala dosa and Dasaprakash thali. I really loved Mysore masala dosa whereas thali was kind of good. Rasam and sambar in the thali was too sour which I didn't like. Ambience of this place was great and service was also great.

For the kind of money they take, looks like they want the King himself to come and eat here. Whereas the food quantity, quality, price and overall ambiance and hygiene of the place is ridiculous. Public washrooms are much cleaner
