Amazing hotel with magnificent decor. Reception service was brilliant..they were very warm&hospitable. We stayed in #207, which was a large room with nice furniture. The housekeeping also ensured that they serviced our room perfectly. Breakfast was a decent spread, and in room food was also good. They truly know the meaning of hospitality,it is one of the rare hotels which extend their help/service, even after you checkout, which means a lot,in today's scenario Overall a very satisfactory experience, we being hoteliers ourselves, would definitely recommend Umaid Mahal to anyone traveling to Jaipur.

On the positive side I can say that the hotel is very nicely decorated and that the restaurant staff was friendly. Other than that I do not have any positive things to say. Front desk staff is not rude but they are also not friendly or helpful. We were greeted by an unsmiling man who welcomed us by saying “Passports and visas” as if he was an overworked immigration official. When we requested help obtaining a taxi and help arranging a tour of the city the front desk employees stated that they do not perform those services. Air conditioner does not keep the room cool. Subpar level of cleanliness in the hotel itself as well as its restaurant. The restaurant staff was friendly however. Very loud. I almost checked out and went to a different hotel

Excellent stay, good rooms and good food! My only reason for 2 star is the guy who answers the phone prior to booking completely non cooperative and had a lot of attitude.i was landing slightly earlier ( due to last minute COVID scare my scheduled flight got cancelled and i had to fly earlier with no choice since the airline had to accomodate me) than the designated check-in time and requested the guy for the same he just refused to co-operate. Saying rooms are not empty and all. But what I saw was my entire floor was empty and i confirm the same with the housekeeping staff .Only because of this experience i did check-in here since I had my booking here. But later booked another hotel for 2 nights. My philosophy is if you can't treat your guests well u need to improve your hospitality standards!

Hotel is compact with beautiful, traditional interiors and decor. Rooms are cozy and have all amenities. Rooms have premium feel with wooden furniture and vintage theme. Staff is Polite and Room service is decent. I was expecting cleaner crockery in rooms. Breakfast is average in taste with limited menu. It was ok for me as I was on a quick trip and ate outside hotel most of the times except breakfast. But I still felt that breakfast was not worth the hotel pricing. It is approx 4 km from city palace/old city attractions & takes 0.5 hour to reach there due to generally heavy traffic in city. It may work for people with car.

Beautiful hotel that looks just like a palace. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. My dad fell ill during the stay and the hotel staff went out of their way to help him. They were very helpful throughout. Their service was excellent and highly appreciated. The facilities of the hotel such as the pool, restaurant and bar are well maintained and served delicious food.

Oh where do I start. Loved it. The hotel gives palace vibes. The building, interiors , decors , furniture, restaurant, seating/relaxing balcony on 1st floor... I had to take time out to explore this beautiful heritage hotel. Food was good. Thank you Umaid Mahal for making my stay wonderful.

There is no option for 0 rating which they deserve. Worst experience ever, if you ever want to feel discriminated in your own country please opt for this hotel. Staff is impolite and rude and do not attend to your requests with courtesy. Highly recommended to avoid this place, do not get fooled by the charm of decor it's not worth spending your money. You can rather opt for the next door hotel with better amenities and services.

This property is rated way too high for it’s actual quality. Very loud. I almost checked out and went to a different hotel. I gave them three stars because I don’t like giving bad reviews and because anyone can have a bad couple of days.

Very bad experience. The hotel staff didn't know how to park the car and ended up Damaging the car and created a fault in it because of this we faced loads of problems and waited for 6 hours extra in the hotel at the time of our checkout waiting for the mechanic to come. The hotel service is very poor. Food is not good. Quantity is very less as compare to the price. The hotel is very soffocating also.

Overall experience: Average Hotels entrance and interior looks heritage and traditional design. We got the check in within 20 mins of us reaching the venue. Breakfast was buffet - included paratha, poha, idli/ dosa, breads, tea and juices. The basic facilities were covered in the hotel however it is definitely not a 4 star property.

Nice hotel but could be better. Other hotel in the same chain is Umaid Bhaban and that is much better. Room was big nd nice, with a small private balcony for 5.5k but the bed was horribly uncomfortable. It had ripples which really hurt my back. No complimentary breakfast, while other hotels in the same range had complimentary breakfast (even with lesser price)

Our stay at umaod mahal was quite good. It is a heritage property but you cannot expect a palace kind of a feeling here coz it feels as-if an existing multi-storey building was modified to make a Hotel which has a Heritage style Gate. Service was okay, coz they I realised that certain items were duplicate on the menu with different prices. We were also about to get charged for a 650ml bottle of beer for a 500ml of beer. When we raised a question regarding this, the staff felt caught and started giving us random reasons for not following the prices on the menu. So we returned our drinks and arranged it separately from outside. Another incident was we ordered "plain tea pot"(we specifically asked for plain tea) every morning for 3 days and everyday the price was different. I know they have multiple kinds of tea options but trust me i saw the bill and it was "plain tea pot" in the bill of all 3 days, above all it tasted same. When we raised complain about it , we got to know that "MAY BE it was a singaporian tea or masala tea", those were the exact words from the staff. Taste of each and every dish we ordered was top-notch. We loved the food and enjoyed it while our stay. Swimming pool was a bit small comparetively the nunber of guests they can accomodate. Perhaps it is kept just to increase the number of facilities provided at the property. Swimming pool and restaurant area was in the basement. Which was closed from all sides so it felt a bit packed. Rooms were clean and beautiful with AC's having heat mode enabled. Bathrooms were also quite good and has almost all the required toiletries and hair dryer. All in all, based on the price of the stay, it is definitely a good stay.

I was not able to completely utilize the hotel and it's amenities due to lack of time. But I can surely recommend it. Good location, beautiful rooms and we'll behaved staff. Overall a great place to stay when in Jaipur.

Hotel is ok, but there was no room service by default. We had to ask a couple of times to get toilet paper and we also only got exactly one towel per person. Given the price for this (~70€ per night), I would have expected quite a bit more. Comparing this to the other hotels we stayed in, this was definitely in the lower half in terms of price/value and service.

It's one of the cutest heritage stays I've been in recently! The rooms are spacious for 2 and are colorful. The food is great. I would recommend a stay in 2nd or 3rd floors to get a good look at the grandeur of this little stay! The staff was super helpful.

Very helpful and friendly fnb service staff in restaurant and good room service. Entrance door is the most appealing! Overall it was very good experience

Oveall okay. There are two hotels of Umaid near by Bani park. Go for Ummaid bhawan its good compared to Ummaid Mahal. Expensive. Food available as per strict timing of hotel.

Well, I really loved this personally. It is not very expensive and the rooms are pretty cute! It’s a standalone building and unexpectedly has a swimming pool and a rooftop cafe too. The food is average however, we prefer eating outside so we did not mind that.

Hotel is good but the cab service is not good, driver will give you the commitment of some money and on time he will make story and charge you more money. And one more experience of driver was he will cancel the cab on time, by saying big car is not available and small car is there now or drivers relative is expired so cab is not available now. This way there are the chances they will spoil your trip planning.

One of the great stays with an awesome experience. It completely gave the feel of staying in a palace and everything about it was palatial. Awesome interiors. The hygiene was maintained quite well , the food was awesome and the rooftop experience was great. Staff are really courteous as well. Loved the stay and no complaints. Keep up the good work and kudos to the management !!

This place is worth for every penny you spend there. The time are fantastic. The facilities are great. You get a real feeling of a Mahal inside this hotel. The food was great. Front office executive Mr Mohan Singh was really helpful, kind and always at service. I will definitely love to visit this place again.

Excellent peaceful stay. It has a beautiful ambience for all very aesthetic. If you are planning to visit Jaipur which is well known as a Heritage City, it's a great option to stay at heritage hotel, emphasis a very affordable and one of the best option. The staff is very friendly. They even of a traditional entertainment in the evening hours. Make sure to capture as much as you can. Happy stay!

Pros I had 2 days stay in Umaid Mahal, and first up the hotel has pretty Nice ambience and the facilities within room are top notch just like 4 star+ Hotels. Buffet Breakfast was very good, location is good for commute as well. Cons The only disadvantage you may feel is that the roof top doesn't offer you any kind of vibrant view of the Amer fort or other things

Enjoyed our stay overall! Very pretty ambience, giving out Rajasthani vibes. Rooms were decent. The customer service could have been better as we couldn’t get a hold of the reception from our rooms few times. Breakfast buffet had good options in food and beverages. We also had dinner here twice. Note that their service time can be very slow (waited for almost 45 mins to an hour for our order). We tried the non veg and veg thali, lal maas, chicken starters and couple of vegetarian curries - they were all very flavourful.

Royal place for royal people. Nice hotel with great rooms. For me service was little off. As for providing simple whiskey glasses and water took them 1 hour to serve. Apart from that rooms are nice and spacious.

Good location and nice heritage architecture . Everything to hospitality, food and hygiene is poor! Don’t know how it’s 4 star hotel. Even water was not refilled and charged for it too. Worst experience in my hotel stays.

Pros: - Excellent breakfast and wide spread - Spacious and clean rooms - Very polite and helpful staff - Beautiful heritage decor - hand-painted walls and ceilings. Cons: - Often unreliable Wi-Fi. - Pool could be better maintained - freezing cold water in the middle of winter... Good hotel to stay in generally but if you're looking for a place with a good Internet connection for work video calls, make sure you get your own data pack. I don't think I can give 3+ stars to a place that doesn't get its Wi-Fi absolutely right for each room.

The rooftop restaurant is a perfect place to hangout and there's an evening folk dance held there. It is a joy to watch while having tea and snacks. The hotel interiors are done beautifully and rooms are clean and comfortable. All amenities are there and the swimming pool is also well maintained. The complimentary breakfast buffet is of good variety too. Overall the stay is very pleasurable.

A heritage hotel in the heart of jaipur City. Tastefully decorated with antique pieces all over. Good and neat rooms. Nice restaurant and cultural events in the rooftop in the evenings. The only thing interesting was there is a complimentary railway or bus stop pick up provided by the hotel, but no drop.

It's a good hotel in a good location. I have been there twice. The service is good and the staff is helpful and smiling. I wish they will allow outsiders for their morning buffet breakfast as it's very good and the hotel can make some money by doing this.

Although it's 4 star, but the service they provide is just like any other Oyo rooms. Worst in terms of cleanliness, there were dead flies in water jug, algae in electric kettle, room service never on time. Only the food was tasty yet costly. Wouldn't recommend. If you want to invest money then invest in some other 4star hotel. Don't forget to check their review. Because what they say isn't always true.

Average hotel with glittering but poor service. Good - well decorated. You will find plenty of places to snap good pictures. That's the only good thing Bad - no ventilation, no sunlight in rooms. Too much vibrant color can make you feel clostrophobic Worst - reception, very lagged delayed service. The reception is like robot and won't be there to help you on time. Didn't find their behavior supportive at all. Food prices are high and are not good at all. They said all their rooms are same and with same price but they offered us ground floor room which is without any balcony and proper ventilation. Verdict - all that glitters is not gold. Reviews are Brainwashed so visit and then pay.

Really beautiful hotel, great location for the sights as well. Very accommodating staff and service was almost flawless. Very personal and helpful people. Definitely would recommend to stay here if in Jaipur, can't wait to come back again soon!

  • 5/5 Bhupinder K. 1 year ago on Google
On our first day, we didn't like one of the rooms so they switched us to another the next morning. The guy at reception, I think his name is Swaran, dealt with us. He was a great help. Rooms are a nice size and all nicely furnished. Breakfast is a bit limited but it changes slightly everyday and they do make omelettes on request, so it's good enough. They said there's a spa nearby if anyone wants a treatment but we didn't give that a try. The food in the restaurant is very good too. Some of us had dinner there. The location requires a bit of travel to the sites but it's a nice, quiet location with a few places nearby for food or coffee.

The ambiance was welcoming and relaxing, making our stay truly enjoyable. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff was friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Overall, an outstanding stay. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable experience.
