What a royal and super luxurious dining palace! F&B service staff was super friendly, assisting us to out reserved table. BTW: you cannot just come as walk-in because they mostly require reservations. Dining area was spacious, high ceiling, table was neatly set up with cutleries and napkin. Their table cloth was super neatly ironed! Menu was quite pricey but worth it! Taste was just right! Their location was just at the corner of the street so you might miss the entrance if not focused. It is a suitable place for a date too😄

Plataran Menteng Classy high quality restaurant. The decoration, the furniture, the services, the food, and all the place. The only thing that weird is they use paper for the mat in your table, not sure if its their standard or is it covid protocol stuff. The menus are now only can be seen through QR code and they have a lot of food choices there. From today's visit I like the squid-chicken ball, broccoli scallop, and the salted egg tofu. Their bathroom is fancy with 2 sofa-chair in it. They also 3 floor of dining place, but that day only open the 1st floor. I heard that the 3rd floor is the rooftop one. Hopefully will get lucky to be able to sit in the rooftop the next time I go there.

Was here on a Saturday for lunch in which there’s also a wedding reception to be held at 4pm same day. We were seated at the 3rd floor, and find the place a little too crowded for our comfort. In our opinion, the tables setting were a little too closed to each other during this time of pandemic. The table next to us was having a continuous exciting conversation too. We requested for a change of table but unfortunately was informed that there’s other available table. So we decided to packed the food we ordered and leave as soon as we can. The staff who took our order has a tag on her that says ‘I’m Vaccinated’ which is a good thing. Wished that she can speak English. And they do have a gluten-free menu. However we previously have here several times mostly for lunch. Food is consistently delicious and fresh, they are not over powering, not too spicy, and most importantly I don’t need to down gallons of water after the meal. This would mean that MSG is less as compared to many other restaurants in Jakarta. The menu serves are mostly local Indonesian dishes and fusion dishes. Staff are friendly, attentive and helpful with some of them can speak English, although a few can be seen busy with their mobile phones in a corner away from the sight of customers. During the last visit, our order was a vegan soup, duck curry, grilled squid, tiger prawns, a steam rice and glutinous rice with fresh mango and durian (spiny tropical fruit) sauce. And two bottles of 380ml bottled sparkling water. Total bill was IDR871,200 which is fairly reasonable. Sharing here are also some dishes we had in the previous visit.

As a heads up all bookings start at 7pm and they like orders done early and eat soon if you can which is a bit of a rush. But the great service and menu makes up for all. This place used to be fantastic but standard seems to have declined quite a bit. Prices are really on the high side for Indonesian food. The last visit, we had some dishes which were quite run of the mill and nothing to get excited about. The fish in banana leaves was average. The house special - pieces of fried chicken covered with mango salad is just ordinary. The jade soup was a small portion of thick greenish gooey stuff with mushrooms. The saving grace was the desert coconut pudding which is always a delight.

Really recommend the dendeng batokok, it's different like no other. Thinly sliced and fried it becomes crispy. Nearly every menu has some spiciness in it. The drinks and desserts are really good.

In their website, it says “Plataran Menteng occupies a three-story Dutch colonial house” which is the reason why we didn’t feel like we are at a restaurant – rather a home. Food was less dramatic compared to the venue itself. They lacked the awesome vibe of the interior (but maybe that was due to the high base effect). My candid take is that there was no “wow” factor inside the mouth; only in my eyes. Among the dishes we had, the best dish was the fried fish with mango salad on top.

The chefs do an outstanding job and every meal is cooked to perfection. The Ayam Dharmanwangsa is an amazing chicken mango dish, highly recommended. Also, the stemed groupa is amazing and will melt in your mouth. The ambience of the restaurant is just gorgeous, it is a historical and restored building with indoor plants and marble.

But i understand that people come here to pay for the view as well. And the food are actually quite good. Of all the items we ordered, i'd recommend you to try the Ayam Dharmawangsa and Iga Asam Sunti. Both have so many depth of flavor. It'll punch you from the first bite/sip. The items i would give you some heads up of are the Gurame Telor Asin and Tahu Telor Gedongan. The smell of the telor asin is very poignant. If you are sensitive to strong smell, this might not be for you. For the Tahu Telor, though it is mentioned that tofu should be part of the element, i barely find the tofu, instead i found more flour in the ratio. Parking might be a bit challenging, but valet is provided. Please note, valet is not charged. But if you feel like it, please feel free to leave some tip. :)

They have many private rooms available but we sat just right next to the bar. A memorable experience really, and I would recommend anyone to try this venue at least once.

one of the high-end fine dining restaurant in the center of jakarta. as expected, the price is above the average but you'll be guaranteed to experience a premium quality food and service. the staffs are very friendly and well-mannered. i tried their signature fried rice. the portion was large and at first the rice looked dark and black. but, it's not too sweet nor salty, just perfectly cooked. it also came with some cashews on top, which i had never found in fried rice before. surprisingly they went well with the rice. so good, not greasy at all! i also tried their es dawet nangka – a jelly drink with jackfruit and coconut milk. they served the palm sugar syrup separately so you could adjust it as you like to the drink. again, it tasted so delicious, very fresh with no weird aftertaste. even though they sell many local dishes, they generally taste better here, probably due to the high quality ingredients. the place itself is somewhat like large white old house or mansion with many tables and chairs inside, with different vibe and decoration. i was seated near the large tree so it felt like a garden with bird chirping inside the house. there are many selection of seating and dining rooms to your preference, including the private one. they also have praying room for moslem, and it's very comfortable. too bad their entrance/exit area at the front of the building is not quite large for the vehicle, but i think they provide a valet service.

Great food. An upscale place, they put lemon and ice in their urinal making any urine seemed so refreshing. A tad expensive for daily meal.

The place is nice, it's traditional but fancy. Foods were ok, not as great as I could remember. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish. Specifically for the dendeng, it was tasteless. The shrim & chicken menus were great. Desserts were not that great. The staffs were kind and helpful

Ambience is nice. decor is nice. service is good. food is nice but the food portion is just to big. they don’t have food size to go with the numbernof guests per table. every dishes is served based on 2-3 persons portion. so we could order too many dishes even if we wanted to try. we could hv ordered 8-10 dishes if they hv small size portion instead we just ordered 5 dishes but still couldn’t finish.

Food (and cocktails) were really good. We didn't know it was shared dining, so we ordered way too much! Place feels cozy, like at home. Staff is really nice and helpfull. We definitely recommend this restaurant!

A nice restaurant with different theme of Indonesian-Dutch colonial architecture. Here have different kinds of nice private room. You may have afternoon tea here at 2nd floor with cosy living room design. Foods and drinks here are nice as well as the service. Overall experience is good. recommend 👍🏼

Food is very salty. I couldnt even swallow their escargot fuyunghai. Looked like they didnt stir the egg and salt evenly. If I cant pay for such a tasty / big portion of food, at least I hoped I could pay for your service / ambience. But it was total zero. Not to mention your lady waitress who was so rude. Never bring my feet here anymore. Waste of money.

Very luxurious restaurant with authentic interior and Instagramable. You can choose VIP room to get privacy. There is elevator to reach upper level floor. The food taste is delicious, very clean, big praying room as well. Small parking lot but you can use valet service.
