As the person who coming from background of Minangkabau, I would say the flavour already adjusted to cater for most of Jakartan. I believe this is great place to introduce Padang food to international tourists since the spiciness considerably milder than the Padang food should be. Also the interior is very Minangkabau with their "pelaminan" being set and semi-private room is also available for certain number minimum booking from what I observed. Overall, price and flavour are fine, just that the taste that I am expecting is more authentic since the interior or ambience already being set as such.

Great experience in this restaurant. We were in 10 and served very quickly. The food was amazing, a great variety of small dishes which at the end are being counted, in the check, by plate. The service was really friendly and welcoming, a lady was explaining the different plates. The variety was very surprising, and the way brought them on the table, impressive. The restaurant doesn't have a menu, so the table is charged based on what it consume. We were told so, so we didn't had any unexpected surprises.

Rendang is delicious. The orange juice was also rich and delicious.

Another nasi padang food thats reasonable and super delicious!! 😚😚 super love the potato balls, the egg scramble, the fried chicken and the beef rendang. I had 2 portions of each dish. LOL!!. There is normally a crowd here so its best you go in early. I went during lunch and i had to wait for 20mins for a table. Wanted to try the curry fish head but it was sold out. Overall taste was very good. Would like to come back to this place again.

Upper class Minang restaurant in Jakarta. This restaurant shares a place with a travel bureau. In fact, this restaurant was established as a travel bureau, and the travel bureau still exists until now. The price is more expensive than another Minang restaurant, but the dishes are delicious. The staffs were friendly, and they wore Traditional Minang clothes. you can also see a traditional decoration from Minang at the back of the restaurant. The decoration was also fabulous.

ayam goreng was great, their paru goreng wasn't crispy enough for me tho, their ayam pop was okay, my sister loveeeeeeeeed their rendang, she said it's tender and not too spicy! oh and my brother loves their ayam sayur. so yeah

The staffs are old in age, experienced and friendly. Ramah Sopan Tidak arrogant The dish are OK The price is moderate. To sum up, I have recommended NATRABU to my colleagues.

An old Minang restaurant, located in down town Jakarta, at famous Jalan Sabang. Minang costume weared by all waiters.

It has been a while since I visited this restaurant. The ambiance and the staff don't change so much. The foods are still delicious, gulai otak and ayam pop are the best. I met up with a few friends while having lunch and discussed hobbies related stuff..

Very disappointing. The restaurant has no menu. They will just put everything on your table and you just get what you wanted to eat. They will not tell you the price until you’re done eating. Quite expensive at the end. We only ate 1 rendang, 1 rice and 1 vegetable, the bill was 190,000 IDR. The food was not good either. Everything was served cold!! And those food you haven’t consumed will be served to the next customers! Who knows if it’s clean or not! The rendang which is supposed to be spicy doesn’t have a taste of spiciness at all and the meat is hard to chew! Not recommended.

First time dining here, been itching to try this resto. Ordered nasi rames with ayam gulai and terong balado ikan asin. The gulai is thick, aromatic and flavorful. The coconut milk aroma still linger long after i washed my fingers. Terong balado is so so, not as spicy as i thought. I think food here is of mild spiciness, rather unusual for a minang or padang resto. Price is on par with other brands like sederhana or garuda. Sure i'd come back for their ayam gulai, but car parking is a pain.

This place is a complete rip off! I wrote a Google review (a positive one) only once in my life, this will be the second one. So here we go: I wanted to enjoy some local food and found this Restaurant online with good ratings, so I went. I was a single guest and was shocked to be presented with a bill of IDR 285.000 (Indonesian Rupiah). This is about 18 bloody US Dollars!! What the heck?? The food was really nothing special, the chicken had barely any meat on it. This is food you can find on any street corner outside. They serve you a variety of dishes without asking you prior. They put it on your table and you start eating. 2 pieces of chicken, 2 pieces of Rendang, 2 pieces of fish, you get the idea. You pay per piece, not per portion!! Strange serving system. Probably Indonesians are familiar with this style. But when you are a tourist then beware!! Value for money? For 18 USD? NO! I was extremely disappointed and still am. Do you know what you can get for 285k at the "Kaki Lima" (Street Food Stall)? Go and find out for yourself...😉

Though the lady at the front was nice, the food was served cold when I went and it was also expensive for what it is (maybe they charged me more for being a tourist), hence the low rating. The food was fine, but not amazing. There is no price listed and you basically pay what you eat even though you don't know how much it will cost until the end.

A high class Padang restaurant. Suitable for foreigners who cannot eat rendang with thick coconut oil (santan). The mosque is in the upstairs, big space. It's rare to find a mosque of restaurant like here.

Nice food and delicious food

Pleasantly surprised by their good food. I had rendang, tunjang and perkedel. All their food tastes great and we all have fun. Just a bit difficult to add order midway, so make sure you already order everything in the first place.
