Tuna pizza here is excellent. We also got the roll named brother from another mother (pictures). Always loved the creation from chef Akira. Pleasant to our tongue. Server provided excellent service too! We went here on a friday night and not too many people, you can still have nice talk while enjoying food and scenic Jakarta light at night. Recommended.

This restaurant offers a good mixture of Japanese and modern cuisine by using the best quality ingredients only. It is located in the highest floor of MD Building in Setiabudi, South Jakarta, which popularly known as one of the most hip place in town because its unique interiors and extraordinary menus of its restaurants.

Did I tell you why I love this place so much yet? The excitement is so high that I'm skipping thoughts. Being a vegetarian, a Japanese restaurant is the last thing you should enter - unless, you're entering Akira Back which can pull out (unlike most others) a separate mini menu for you. I loved every bit I was served off that menu. The food is a modern take on classics that somehow didn't go wrong (which also happens very often). The setting is pretty warm. The sushi counter could have been better. The service is impeccable, prompt and warm.

Worth the 5 stars rating. Celebrate and surprising our friend's birthday there and it turns out very successfull. All of the staffs are very nice and helpful. Their foods are consistently nice. But, chocolate-ish dessert tasted just soso for me. Overall, they deserved a full rating for their service and food :)

Love this place, good food and my favorite is gyudon. They have lunch set that comes with appetizer, main course and dessert. I have been here several times and they never let me down from food and services. The place suits for formal or casual dining, if you plan to bring your family, it would be a good place as well.

Some food are delicious, but most are just so-so. Use way too much mayonnaise for example the sushi rolls. 1. We ordered Sushi Ichiban Platter which were 8 pc of nigiri coupled with Signature roll "Perfect Storm" and some of the classic roll "Baked crab hand roll" and "angry salmon baked roll". The nigiri are perfect, fresh and does not smell fishy at all. However all the sushi rolls taste like exactly what they are, rolls drenched in spicy mayonaise. 2. Popcorn shrimp has a good batter but the taste also wasted on mayonaise. 3. Tuna pizza is quite good The smoked tuna is awesome with nice touch of truffle oil. But again, mayonaise between the "pizza base" (more like cracker than pizza base) ruins the perfect taste 4. Ribeye/NY steak, food presentation is dreadful, like you just dump the sauce everywhere. Taste good and quite juicy but I don't taste any "wagyu-ness". Feels like eating just a slighty higher quality beef 5. AB tacos. Personally it smells too beefy for me, and the tomato purree is lacking. Does not like it at all. Don't be fooled by all other photos, the tacos are small 6. Charcoal grilled salmon. Easily the best dish of all, second only to the nigiri. The fish is cooked perfectly, flaky but not dry, seasoned well, love the balsamic sauce and the sweet puree, it balanced the seasoning.
