First time having such good experience. The staff keep bringing the food on the table even though there are no more spaces. If you like any of the dishes, you can keep order more. But if you didn’t touch the dish you don’t have to pay. The beef Randang is good as well as the fried chicken. Only the local will know such places.

Walked in during weekday lunch hour. Food was served quick. Taste wise, it was decent. Has a wide variety. Dish is a little cold when served. Would I revisit ? Quite unlikely.

I decided to visit Restoran Garuda based on their positive reviews. However, I must say that my experience did not live up to my expectations. Despite the restaurant having a reputation for good food, I found it to be average and nothing particularly special that would entice me to return. One aspect that greatly disappointed me was the fact that the dining area allowed smoking. As non-smokers, it was extremely uncomfortable to endure the presence of cigarette smoke while trying to enjoy our meal. This not only affected our overall dining experience but also made it difficult to fully appreciate the flavors of the food. Considering the higher price range of the restaurant, I had expected something truly outstanding. However, the food fell short of my expectations. We were left feeling unsatisfied and felt that the prices did not match the quality and taste of the dishes. I would recommend considering other dining options in Jakarta that offer a more pleasant atmosphere and better value for money.

Just take a seat at this restaurant, and the waiters/waitresses would bring all the different dishes to you. You just have to choose the ones you want and leave the rest to one side. They will collect those dishes that you do not want. I have to say not all the food suits everyone tastes but there are a wide variety of dishes so I believe that there will be some dishes to your liking. I personally like the beef rendang, fried chicken, and curry fish. I love the chili here as well. It's spicy enough for me. As for the atmosphere, it might get very noisy when there are a lot of diners. And I realised people can smoke in the restaurant.

When you go to a Padang restaurant make sure you are very hungry and that you have a huge appetite. They serve the selection of dishes on your table, 30-40 sorts normally, and you pay what you have touched and consumed. If you need something else just ask the friendly staff It's an incredible experience and for those who have tried it, addictive. There are many branches of Restoran Garuda throughout the capital

It was around Lebaran so was quite packed with assorted rude people 🤣 Staffs were awesome though. We didn't get too many different food serves in our table but what we had was tasty as usual. I love the security aka doorman. He was adorable and cheerfully looking for an available table for us. Thank you Garuda.

Smoke smoke smoke yikes. It’s indoor and air conditioned room but they let them smoke! The air feels dirty cos of the smoke. Not sure about the hygiene of their food (I mean by letting people smoke in the indoor room, they let the smoke stick to the food as well). 🤯 Overpriced. Taste ok not that great. Won’t come back anymore.

Best place for Nasi Padang!! I love how it is walking distance to our hotel. The surroundings were clean as well when I was walking. Anyway, all the dishes were really delicious. My favourite would be their ayam goreng, daging dendeng, sambal hijau, rendang daging, gulai ayam and their rice is so soft. Also, I love how friendly and attentive the staff were.

Waiter will serve your table with all these dishes. The avocado juice here is so nice and thick where the sweetness just right and nice. Best sup buntut in Jakarta. Since this restaurant is nearby my hotel so we just walked to get here. In front of the restaurant is very crowded and one of the staff reminds me to carefully hold my phone because it is black area and there’s alot of pickpockets. But people smoke inside this restaurant even though this restaurant is fully air conditioned. I dont get it and feels suffocated while eating but i think it is their culture (?) maybe.

Quite ok place for dinning but price is not as cheap as you will expect. Waiting time is reasonable but it takes longer than usual to wait for the bill. Smoking is allowed in the premise so if you are not a smoker then it is bad choice for you. Food wise is above average but parking is a messed. It takes good luck for you to find a parking slot else you will have to turn few rounds in order to wait for next available parking

The menu was impeccable. Ayam Pop, Ayam Gulai, Gulai Otak, Udang, Tunjang. +++Krupuk kulit siram kuah. All recommended, without a doubt. Price is expensive but definitely worth the quality. Came on 14.00 weekday, place was not crowded. Do request non smoking room because guests are allowed to smoke indoors. Service is pleasant, pay after the meals, debit and QRIS payment are available. Parking space is limited.

A little bit on the higher price for Nasi Padang restaurant in Indonesia. Food was super tasty! I love their beef rendang!

Not bad at all - sturdy local restaurant providing (I think) Padang-style eating, though I actually just went up and selected what I wanted, rather than letting them bring a selection to my table.

Its a good place for those who doesn't like the strong taste of Padangnese food. The restaurant has two floors with average convenience, air conditioner is not sufficiently cold but still enough. Waiting time is still fair, toilet is clean enough, praying room is available. In addition, its a good restaurant with good food and convenience enough to fill your tummy. The only drawback is no facility for disabled.

A classic malay-minang restaurant, serve a plethora of authentic menu to satisfied your taste buds.

As one of the oldest and popular Restaurant that provides West Sumatera cuisine, somehow the taste of the food didn't speak that much. (I mean the seasoning, curry taste isn't too thick and flavourful, feels like already adjusted with local taste) But still good. The staff are friendly and helpful, the location is also strategic.

Great padang restaurant around central Jakarta, good food, good staff, the taste is adjusted for local, not too strong, should try ayam pop or ayam gulai. Rendang is a bit too sweet, but still tastes good.

Amazing food and very fast service. Close to the gambir station so is perfect for a quick bite before your train.
