The Halal Guys is a halal casual restaurant originally from Manhattan, New York City that serves variant of middle eastern food, such as rice platter, sandwich, burrito, and fries. This is one of the food stall in Food Print, Grand Indonesia West Mall. The staffs follow the health protocols by wearing a mask and face shield. Besides ordering the main dish, I also wanted to try their Baklava, but unfortunately the Baklava is not available anymore there. I tried Gyro Falafel in regular size (IDR 57,000). It is available in large size as well. Gyro Falafel consists of the orange rice with falafel (the deep fried patty ball filled with chickpeas and fava beans), beef, pita bread, salad, along with the three sauces which are white, BBQ, and hot sauce. How to eat this Gyro Falafel? Add the three sauces (be careful with the hot sauce because it is so hot!) into the bowl, mix and stir them thoroughly. Then enjoy it! I put all of the hot sauce into the bowl, and it resulted in a very hot taste πŸ˜‚ But all of them has a good taste. Combines well with the sauces. The taste also similar with the one that I have tried in the US. But The Halal Guys in the US is definitely in a bigger portion 😁

Yes this is the same halal guys that you can find in New York. In here, it only provides chicken and beef as topping, lamb is not available. The regular portion is enough to fill up adult men, in my opinion. Taste is quite awesome, especially if you add the hot sauce. The dining area is small, there are only 7 tables for 20 ish persons. There is usually quite a long queue, particularly during lunch time

Hi Halal guys Indonesia, last time I posted my review but it ended with unsatisfied answer, may be it because I wrote it in bahasa. I'm a big fan of halal guys, I ussually buy combo platter@halal guys Grand Indonesia and it never fails me. But last time I bought it at your new branch @margo city depok, and it ended with bad experience. The rice is overcooked and the gryo is served too soft n small pieces like ground beefπŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ.... Also the chili is too watery. Hope u can improve for better taste there, thx

i never get bored with the halal guys. it's delicious, and i like their rice platter. they have 2 options of protein: chicken and beef. personally, i like the chicken better because of the texture. they also have 3 kinds of sauce: black, red, and white. the black one is barbecue sauce, the red one is spicy sauce, and the white one is ranch sauce. together combined, they go so well with the rice and meat. the rice platter has 2 sizes: regular and large. the regular one is enough for one person, unless you really have a big appetite. for your information, this outlet is located at the food court area. so, the seat is shared with other tenants.

Well the falafel was good but its quite pricy for large platters... for the taste the spice not really bite enough and the hummus is not really fresh.. and the pita bread seems more like dough to me not really crisp...

As being fond of middle east cuisine, I am glad that the halal guys can be found in Jakarta. My preference for the food I order is baklava> combo platter> falafel.

The food is so good! Although it is not a very comfy place to dine in. Combination of Gyro and hot sauce is the best.

I love their food. It’s cheap, fast and delicious. Their only issue is the place at the food court. A good strategy is to secure seatings first, then go for food. I’ve seen and experienced going through the entire area carrying tray and getting cold food while searching for seats. Other than that, a must try.

Great food, consistency on every bite and the taste over the time stayed the same

So good!! The spicy sauce is reallllyyy spicy, no wonder they only gave a tiny bit compared to the white sauce. And the rice is so aromatic and not too savoury, so when eating combined with the sauces and the meats it's a perfect combo. I liked the green falafel too, green veggies but it's good.

Affordable and filling, the famous white sauce is good but IMO overrated.

Went here at around 3 PM, no queues in sight. The ordering system is simple, concise and fast: seemingly like a fast food establishment and the food preparation is really quick, perfect for those in a rush. I ordered the mix (beef and chicken) rice platter and it was honestly such a hearty, well-balanced meal with half the platter filled with rice, hefty amount of proteins along with fresh crunchy salad on the side. The meat and rice is drenched with a generous amount of their glorious white sauce (likely garlic mayo) and tangy BBQ sauce which really creates a harmony of flavor to savor. Beware tho, their red chilli sauce is really spicy (the bitter kind of spicy) so I recommend requesting it separated from the two other sauce if you dislike spicy food. The service here is also exceptional, the staffs are attentive and kind in adhering to our requests/customizations. Portion is also quite decent for the affordable of the food here. Definitely recommended, 5 stars.

The Gyro Platter would probably be everyone’s all-time favorite! I ordered the large portion which was enough for two people. Their dish was kind of pre-cooked so you won’t have to worry about the serving time when you’re in a hurry.

The taste and flavors of Halal Guys in Jakarta is remarkably similar to the ones in New York and Seattle. Ordered the gyro-falafel regular size combo. The milo (milk drink) was just okay. It is located inside the food court of Grand Indonesia. So seating maybe a bit hard to find during peak hours. Overall a delightful experience for those craving the Halal Guys outside US.

1st time try this the halal guys. I ordered combo platter reguler (beef & chicken). Overall the food is good, Middle East food. Mayo, bbq sauce, are okey. Spicy sauce is too hot for me. But love this menu. Price: 68k (combo platter plus ice tea)

Not satisfying enough. The rice was super oily and chicken wing worse than other restaurants. Too many additional cost for toppings. However,The queue system is good and the staffs are informative and helpful.

Not my kind of food but nice to try it. Love their falafel. Just went here Sunday morning at 11:00 and no queue still. Better to visit in the morning before crowd starting

Went for a bangladesh restaurant back in Japan few years ago, it does remind me of those same flavor. Price wise is comparable to other vendor in food court these day, especially considering it's portion size. Will definitely come again.

Came here just to taste the cheese squad gyro platter again and again. This one is really recommended. No doubt. You should try this.
