This restaurant is British Pub & Curry house. I didn't believe that here is curry house, because I've never had real Indian curry except the moment I had traveled to India. But Eastern Promise's curry was almost close to real curry. I was so happy to eat real curry again at there and Tandoori chicken was nice too. it's located at Kemang area that many western restaurant are there, but eastern promise is unique for atmosphere and food quality. and there are 3 different concept - normal hall, bar, live hall. also can watch the foot ball game - international pro-league. recommend here for everybody.

If you are lucky you'll get to be here on a night where the band is playing. The bass player has excellent rhythm and on occasion is featured doing some fantastic slap funk. The singer has a velvety golden voice and the crowd loves him. The atmosphere is wonderful and i'll be happy to come back.

I came on Friday night and they started live music at 10PM with min. charge 1mio IDR for a table. Food: I looooove the pizza and saag paner! Pizza is so thin but smooth and delicious. I think this is my most favorite bar if I ever want to have some quiet time for myself. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich is delicious. Bu Eni was the one serving us and she gave me a quick tour. EP is a big place with 4 different dining areas.

Also tried their spicy chicken bites which was not too spicy for us. Definitely would recommend this bar as a place to chill with friends after work. A very famous pub in Kemang where more foreign visitors than local people. As for the food, it's pretty good. I have gone there twice. There is also friendly with visitors who use the hijab. Great bar, most expat bar in Jakarta and lots of memories to be had here. Big areas to party and pressure hour on a Friday is a great concept. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. If I only ever had one complaint it would be about the price of the drinks. It's a shame that only sports teams get a decent price and buying a tower or pitcher gives you minimal savings. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the food we ordered, a set of curry, rice, samosa etc which tasted nothing like actual Indian food. The samosa was decent, but the curries and yoghurt dish—while looking nice—were all off... the chicken tikka: like ketchup with curry powder; the beef curry: tasted like sth you normally would have with German egg noodles. The plain lassi was not a highlight either. Perhaps this taste is a concession to a Western audience. I wouldn't write here if the advertisement in the restaurant hadn't been so utterly confident in its curry flavors, while the reality is subpar. I also had the impression that there was an unpleasant urine smell hanging in the air. Sorry to say, but we won't come again.
