Honestly literally one of the best Oxtail soup in Indonesia. Why the 2 stars though? Because quite literally as well, the inconsistency on serving is unbelievable. On one day they give you Oxtail Soup dish with “decent” amount of Oxtail, but on another day you eat there the Oxtail shrank by half 😅. To be honest it’s not a cheap food as well, but heading here it’s starting to feel like it’s just not worth it. To Borobudur Hotel Management, I hope you’re reading this, please please please fix this issue. Unbelievable, I am beyond comment at the restaurant today, the amount of food served is WAY LESS than Sop Buntut Ibu Samino 🤷🏻‍♂️, but Ibu Samino price way less too. Am I judging the food unfairly by the “class” probably? But by the tenderness Ibu Samino can probably compare to Bogor Cafe’s Oxtail, the price though, Samino completely obliterated Bogor Cafe’s dish price. To summarize, just one word: disappointing

Nice, cozy and spacious place to spend time with your fam, friends or colleagues. Food and desserts are good in taste and plating. My fave are salmon sashimi, sirloin with mushroom n dabu2 sauce, beef n chicken satay, lobster, oxtail soup, grapes pie....all sooo yummy. Great service from all the resto crews.

It's not complete if you come to Bogor Cafe without trying the Legendary Oxtail Soup here. There are several options for serving the oxtail: original, fried, or spicy. Bogor cafe that is famous for their iconic Sop Buntut (Oxtail Soup). This time we went here for breakfast and too bad the soup only served at noon and dinner. The hotel were fully occupied so when we came here today on a sunday morning, it was very full and noisy. The cafe isn’t that spacious too so it kinda look very packed and messy. The breakfast buffet options were just like any standard 5 stars hotel. Okay, although not that complete. We had salad and assorted cheese, waffle, fruits and the best part is the roast chicken.

Every Jakartans who had been tried the famous oxtail soup here, must have been own a soft spot in their hearts for this particular dish. The Oxtail still tasted as the same as i was here years ago. The texture is tender, juicy, and really easy to come off from the bones. But not for the soup. It tasted so different from it used to be. It was too sweet, runny, and not good enough. I thought it was because i ordered the grilled oxtail. But when i tried the original ones, the broth still tasted the same. So basically, all soups for the oxtail, are basically the same, regardless how you want your oxtail to be served. The Australian tenderloin steak was nice. The way they’ve grilled it, was fine. Too bad the mushroom sauce wasn’t really good. Service was good. And the place was pretty celan, considered how old is this building.

They have sop buntut/ oxtail soup very famous from the old days till now. The place comfy. It's a buffet restaurant but not very much varian compare to others hotel. The have all kind of soto, Chinese food, Western food, sushi,fruit,ice cream, cakes. The only things is price only for food. If you wanna drink it comes additional charge even it's only water, to bad I supposed.

The best menu of course is their legendary oxtail soup. I like how the soup tasted, and their meat is juicy. The other menu tasted so so. As the pastry and dessert, they provides traditional cakes, modern cakes, iced red bean, and many more. Pretty like it. And, i have surprised that the apple salad is actually good.

Everyone came here for the oxtail soup and it didnt disappoint, it was good, but the rest of the buffet menu was a total letdown. There were only 2 drinks on offer, sweet ice tea and sweet ice lemon tea, and the rest of the buffet menu was as limited as that too.
