A place for all age groups to visit. There were many rangers dotted around the area. This place is definitely somewhere I would visit again. The safari itself is beautiful itself. And home to so much nature as well as the wildlife.

Unfortunately we weren't off to a great start as the gate staff were quite rude and unprofessional. We had to ask for the vouchers that were included in our ticket price and they acted like it was complicated for them to do. Also another thing- the fact you have to pay again for price of car 25rb is a joke. It should be included in ticket price. Luckily the safari made us forget that bad start. It was very beautiful and natural. Sadly some other tourists and guides do not respect the rules and despite a big sign saying no beeping or smoking. Many drivers are beeping and people are smoking out the window. So disrespectful. We took in the safari experience and spent about 2 hours. Then went to the zoo and theme park area. They have elephants to ride, it's very sad and not nice to see, I hope they at least treat them well. The staff in the zoo were friendly. Sadly we didn't get to see the dolphins as we did not arrive in time for the show. We went to Istana Panda, high up in the mountains is very very beautiful and cool. However the food there is not nice and extremely overpriced!!! Their nasi campur was disgusting with no flavour. Especially their pathetic excuse of a tiny lemon tea for 45rb with tax. Anyway, after that we went to Curug Jaksa (Waterfall). We went as it was getting dark but it wasn't too far from the car park, about 15 minutes there. Overall, for the domestic tourist ticket price of 230rb, it was well worth it and I still highly recommend it despite having some poor experiences there too. I would never come on the weekend though, week day was already too crowded. I got 13000 steps in over the 8 hours I was there!

The Safari drive-thru you will enjoy as you come across a range of animals, native and foreign. Many of them you can feed from the car, carrots can be purchased before arriving, which are not too expensive and there are many vendors, so you won't miss them. When inside, there's loads to do, such as visiting the pandas, you can even feed the Red Panda. Ride elephants if that's your thing, feed baby Komodos, even feed lions and so on. Has a nice bird sanctuary and I can go on. The only downsides are entry is higher for foreigners, maintenance is abit of an issue, as well as most staff do not speak English, so if possible, have an interpreter with you. If you are highly sensitive about animal welfare, definitely not the place for you. Other than those, I guarantee you will enjoy the relaxing experience.

An excellent Zoo, the best one I have been to. Quite a bit of a journey to get to from Jakarta where I was staying however well worth the trip. There is a drive around portion where you can view many different animals. There doesn't appear to be any barriers preventing animals from leaving the enclosures however. The other parts of the zoo include a traditional walk around enclosure type deal which was well laid out and clean. There are various event arenas including globe of death, dolphin show and cowboy town. You can take a shuttle bus up the hill to a Panda themed area where you can see Pandas and other animals. If you are staying in Jakarta or other nearby areas it is a must visit!

I went here 3 years ago and I just revisited this place recently. This is the best place to take your children to explore wildlife animals and to have fun altogether. The new Panda Castle that is located at the top has beautiful view of mountains and nature. We really enjoyed our time being there.

The elephants at the front of the park just roam around, and you're free to touch them and feed them. I recommend bringing some of your own vegetables to feed to the animals on the safari. The safari has 2 parts. There is the real safari part where you can either take the bud they provide or your own car through the animal enclosures. The busses are shaped like animals and dinosaurs which was really cool, but I recommend bringing your own car if possible so that you can look at animals as long as you want and even feed them through the car wondow. After the safari is over, they have the zoo section with many amazing shows, events, and animals to see. Some you can even encounter yourself. They have elephant rides and a show where you can hold birds a bald eagle and an indonesian eagle on your arm. You get a 50% discount for being a local, so bring a visa or proof of citizenship if you have it. This really is the ultimate zoo experience. From orangutans to bear cats to crocodiles, they have everything here, and you dont want to miss out on it.
