“I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service provided by all the staff members. Their attentiveness and helpfulness made my stay truly comfortable. The cleanliness of the premises was top-notch, and the spacious rooms coupled with a wide range of amenities were fantastic. The highlight of my visit was the amazing New Year concerts and delicious food served during the event. However, I was slightly disappointed by the limited selection during breakfast. Despite this, my overall experience was wonderful, and I would definitely recommend this hotel for its superb service and amenities.”

The room and furniture were very outdated. The lift was nosy, the staff was not helpful and only do the bare minimum. You can only get 2 mineral water for a day, while most 5-stars could provide min 6 mineral water per day. Please note that the hotel doesn’t provide decent place if you order online food. Yo need to walk to exit gate which not a pedestrian friendly. I assumed it was for safety reason, but it wouldn’t hurt if they provide pedestrian friendly access and the security doesn’t treat the driver like some great inconvenience. The lost and found section were nice touch tho, the only thing i like about the place. Other than that, it doesn’t feel like i was at 5 star hotel at the center of Jakarta.

Not worth the money. It took so long for them to deliver the menu when we asked for a room service. They said we were supposed to scan the barcode at the table, but they were none. We had to call twice and waited so long just to have the barcode delivered. The hospitality did not even exist in this hotel, we expected more from the hotel that has been operating for so many years. The staffs, especially the security guards are not nice, the securtiy guards acted arrogantly. They were not present at the post when we wanted to park our vehicle then implicitly accused us of stealing when we wanted to take our vehicle out. They did not take our complaint seriously and kept acting arrogantly towards us. All of these should not have happened from such a notorious hotel. The experience was traumatizing from the check in till out. Shame!

I did not stay here but waiting for my wife had some events for her work. I bought a choco cake in gourmet cafe and my daughter liked it. The ambiance was like classic and old but very clean and well maintained. Outdoor park is also cool with the miniature of Borobudur temple.

This hotel systems was terrible. I have booked total 8 rooms for 2 nights and paid in advance during checked in we have been informed by the receptionist that our booking is only for 1 night. After the long check by the receptionist its confirm that it was 2 night but 1 day later my few friends was informed again by the receptionist that the room was paid for 1 night only and we go after the receptionist in the lobby and check again it was finally informed the room was for 2 nights. Its not yet end, i was having a nap after my lunch suddenly the guest officer came to my room and told me my room is only for 1 night again. It is showed in the hotel system booked 1 night. Thats enough for my experience with this hotel. Whatever reason just cant accept to being disturbed by such annoying system issue and not once and not twice but is multiple times.

This hotel was a celebrity hotspot in its prime and still exudes a timeless charm. The atmosphere seamlessly combines nostalgia with modern luxuries, making your stay feel both elegant and comfortable. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed, providing all the amenities for a relaxed stay. The staff are exceptionally attentive and professional, meeting the high standards set by the hotel’s storied past. Overall, if you are seeking a unique experience that marries history with contemporary comforts, look no further. Highly recommended.

First time here and my first impression is BAD. I came to this hotel after had "piknik" with my kids at ragunan. We are very exhausted and tired. But when we wanted check-in, the room was not ready. We checked in at 3.30 pm (so normally room should be ready). Receptionist said the room would be ready soon, but we waited almost one hour and no others follow up. I write this comment asap so hopefully hotel management can do things about this bad experience. the 5 star hotel should not be like this. i really very dissapointed.

This hotel is one of the oldest in Jakarta and also the renowned authentic hotel in Indonesia. It's located in the middle of DKI Jakarta that makes this hotel truly strategic, although it makes an atmosphere of "business hotel" rather than for vacation, but if you wanna experience authentic "Modern Jakarta", this hotel could offer you that experience (:

Was stayed here for one night on the weekend, and we booked a garden wing room, it has 3 bedrooms, a living room, a balcony, kitchen complete with all the equipment, microwave, refrigerator, even the dishwasher, crockery, and cutleries This room can accommodate 6 guests, the view and hotel facilities are amazing, they have a super size swimming pool, kids pool, jogging track, one building for a spa, gym, sauna

breakfast food like a 3 star hotel only soto and fried rice but claimed to be a 5 star hotel. The cake variety is low class no rhum in black forest or kahlua for tiramisu the new management is horrible!!! Service is unacceptable!!! This is a horrific hotel!!! Garden got too much insect. Smell of mold in most of the room especially the garden wings!!! They charge even higher price with mold smell room, dirty bathroom and toilet bowl. The only thing that still acceptable is the SPA only sometimes some item under maintenance.

Room was okay, it's pretty old but doesn't have a creepy vibe at all. Price is in higher range esp for laundry and foods. Somehow didn't get a refill for my amenities (body wash & water) on the second night even though they cleaned the room. Food was good even though doesn't have too much variation, with lunch & dinner have the same menu (they change it on daily basis i think). The hotel overall was busy with many kind of business meeting & government meeting. Went there for business meeting for 3 days and weirdly we have to change the venue everyday. The first one was kind of underwhelming, we got a faraway room with very minimum decoration, close to a 3 star hotel's meeting room rather than 5 star. The second day was better, the microphone's still bad though. We changed the room again for the third day and it's a downgrade from second day but still better than the first one. There's a leak on the ceiling though it's not that big.

It's an oasis in the middle of the Jakarta. Facilities for discovery club floor was decent with good enough food during evening cocktail. The hotel been around from sometimes but has its charm and feel classic at least for club suite room. Good for staycation with family. Good experience

Hotel Borobudur is one of the better hotels in Jakarta. The rooms are relatively larger than competitor hotels, even at their lowest tier of rooms. The design of the hotel is kept at its heritage being one of the oldest heritage hotel in Jakarta. It's also one of the most secured places/hotel you could be in Jakarta, with excellent service by its staff. However, one might feel a little depressing in the room due to the heritage of the hotel. The colour of the rooms are relatively dull and woody. The downside of the hotel is it's location, where it is located in front of a junction which the moment you exit the hotel, the jam will drive you nuts.

I felt discriminated by security , I was just came back from outside hotel by transjakarta and was not even greet respectfully by security. I was told harshly that I was in car's way and I was supposed to took closed door as my entrance, the security at the front gate was asking me why I was coming to hotel without and respect (seems that they look down on me because I am Indonesian and came back with public transportation/walking), he was asking why I was come to hotel (with judging tone) and I was answer that I was a guest staying at hotel , and again he asked me (without any respect tone) why I still at the hotel and not checking out ( as far as I remember, I was never meeting the security and never had close communication nor contact that cause him to become friend -tone relationship with me, and even he was not friendly at all) Then it was raiding my question, did I ever have any contact with him or di I ever bother him then I just answer, I still staying at the hotel I was closing my unpleasant conversation by saying, is there any problems with me and he again answer with disrespectful tone - just asking. Other than that late night annoying conversation, actually my stay was fine , all other staff was helping and nice , however the should consider to do a service re-training to all personnel, and being respectful even to a 'walking' guest

Weekend staycation at one of the legendary strategic hotel in the center of Jakarta. Located near Monas, Istiqlal Mosque, Cathedral Church and the famous food street area in Pecenongan. We stayed at the Club Suite room which was very clean and spacious. There’s also a private executive lounge where Guest staying in this floor can have breakfast, lunch and even process check out. We love having staycation here, besides staying in one of the comfiest room and bed. There’s a club inside the hotel and lots of restaurant options from Chinese, Japanese, Steak and Bakery. We had breakfast at the iconic Bogor Cafe. Serves complete menu just like any standards 5 stars hotel. Food tasted okay, although the lounge were very packed and crowded because the hotel were fully occupied. But the good thing, they had other spot options for breakfast at the Pendopo lounge, an outdoor area. The hotel is a kid-friendly hotel with kids playing area and 2 area of swimming pools, the huge one for the adult and the small one for Toddlers. There is also spa, shops and mini bazaar selling local curated products. This hotel is the best options for family holiday/staycation and business travelers.

I’m giving one star less just for one reason: They are wonderful no doubt. The location of the property, the maintenance of the property, staff and everything is above the bar. But, they definitely have a certain weird thing around breakfast arena. Their breakfast cutoff time is 10am which is usually in most hotels. But generally staff is quite courteous and friendly towards guests in such 5stars. They ain’t, for some reason they start behaving weird from 9:50 onwards only, nobody is there to serve you properly and they just show that kind hospitality. Everything is great except this. And that’s the only meal which I want without stressing my mind. Rest of the day is a wyas a chaos😁

One of the quarantine hotel in Jakarta. You can choose this hotel room/apartment, if you want get the best services for your quarantine time. Please contact Ms Anggie or Ms Aveline for information and booking your room. They will arrange since barcode hotel booking until your check out. Ask wings garden room which face to the south. So you can get the sun ray directly at your terrace or balcony. Services very good from all the staffs. Good and delicious food from their restaurant. Don't forget to order Indonesian traditional food from gourmet restaurant. Although you must pay directly ( not included the program). Everything is okay. You can see situation of the room and how delicious many foods we consume during our quarantine days. Recommended.

The whole Hotel is a big smoking area for smokers. Even the lobby lounge is an exclusive smoking area and this avoid many to stay in this hotel. In rooms many have to be fixed. This hotel is not anymore a 5 stars hotel IMHO, it seems to be a good 3 stars hotel but still has a huge potential to improve.

this hotel is one of the oldest luxury hotels in jakarta. without a doubt, this place is indeed luxurious but the interior design is quite old fashioned, everywhere including the reception, the hall, and the room. the bed is comfortable. the shower is hot and clean. there are rooms with bath tubs, while the others only have shower heads. the food for breakfast is quite good but not as many options as other 5-star hotels. the food from their meeting package is much better, in my opinion. nevertheless, their service is indeed top notch. the staffs are very helpful especially at the reception area. they're ready to serve even though it's past midnight.

The hotel by itself is excellent. The fantastic gym, spa zone, lounge, and restaurant have great options on the menu. (Prawns salad, for example) But the vegetables wasn't washed properly. So, there was a caterpillar in my broccoli... :( Helpful and friendly staff. The downside is the room, that not worth the price at all There are mold and old furniture. It needs some renovation And a VERY slow WiFi Impossible to use.

Good hotel location with a nice garden. Suitable for families with children playground facilities. Hotel started in 1974, and have been upgraded / renovated to meet modern needs. Restaurants inside are all nice places. Spa, and sports facilities such as tennis courts and badminton courts are available, and the swimming pool is just great.

My experience at Hotel Borobudur Jakarta was akin to stepping into a real-life nightmare on Elm Street. This place, while clean, was shrouded in an eerie, outdated aura that was more reminiscent of a horror film set than a comfortable hotel. As I entered the lobby, I was met with a chilling sight - faded, dusty furnishings that seemed frozen in time, a relic from the 1980/1990s that had seen far better days. The flickering, dimly lit hallways felt straight out of a horror movie, and the incessant creaking of the floors (despite its covered by carpet) only added to the unsettling atmosphere. Inside my room, the nightmare continued. The furniture, particularly the fridges, appeared ancient and neglected. The room was barren, lacking the modern amenities one would expect in a hotel of this caliber. If you seek a comfortable, pleasant stay, steer clear of this place. Hotel Borobudur Jakarta's eerie ambiance is not the charming kind – it's a haunting testament to the neglect of a once-grand establishment, a real-life nightmare that you'll want to forget.

It's true that the small details make a difference. On one of my nights there, I was left with only 1 towel by housekeeping and the hotel penny pinching policy is to charge 50k for an extra towel. It then took more than 30 minutes of discussion to rectify this issue on check out. If you want a budget hotel experience for a 5 star price, then this hotel is perfect. Very disappointing

Sitting and relax at the hotel’s patio giving a great sense that you are not in the central Jakarta. The fountain view with almost forest landscape and complete with a huge swimming pool, provides an impression that you are further south of Jakarta.

First time staying at Hotel Borobudur. The hotel is old but still well organized. I really like to enjoy the morning walk around the hotel with a beautiful and clean view. The hotel provides a swimming pool with a good standard, other sports facilities such as tennis balls. Unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy the swimming pool because I forgot to bring my swimsuit, because the rule is that you can only use a swimsuit.

It is undoubtedly a nice place. But the the front office lady asked a very annoying, an unnecessary, question. When I said I wasgoing to the pool side place she asked whicj event. She seems to be trained to spred suspicions. Very unpolite attitude.

First time at Borobudur Hotel was a lovely hotel to stay old and classic with Indonesian touch its pretty amazing for me. Their staff is always nice smiling and swift response especially HK. My kid is very enjoying as he likes the playground with long jogging track and huge pool. Will definetely come back 💯

Staying one night at Borobudur was indeed a good experience, although there are still inconveniences that I would like to address: 1. How strange that we find someone else's undergarments in the closet, well it happened to me, I hope housekeeping will clean the room throughoutly in the future. 2. I tried Teratai restaurants and chose dimsum, the food tasted good 👍, the service was excellent, the server was quick witted and the ambience was nice. 3. The security officers outside the hotels aren't friendly towards motorcycles. 4. I do not recommend you if you want to order something outside the Borobudur area, gofood only can get picked by the guest itself outside the Borobudur area.

I saw christmas decoration of the hotel from social media this year. Looking back, i stayed at this hotel also with a very good christmas decoration few year ago. This hotel is very big, in the middle of the city of jakarta. The room is also very big and spacious, with heritage style furniture. Very good breakfast during our stay.

Hopefully these review points can be noticed by the hotel management to improve. I took my family to staycation here, but it not end up well as we imagined. First, we came on December 24 at around 15 o'clock to check in, and the queue at the front desk check-in counter was very long. After queuing for about half an hour, we and some of the guests queuing at the front desk were finally directed by the officer to check-in at the Timor Ballroom. The ballroom was converted into an impromptu check-in counter due to the large number of guests that day. Unfortunately, when we was taking a queue number at the Timor Ballroom, the system was broken, many guests who had been queuing for a long time at the Timor Ballroom became angry with the officers. Some of them, including us, finally comeback to the increasingly long check-in counter queue at the front desk, as shown in the picture. It took about 3 hours until we finally arrived at the counter and got the room. 3 hours! Can you imagine how was the family with elderly and babies? We stayed for 2 nights anyway. The management supposed to be gave some compliments for this, maybe cake, dinner, souvenirs, or maybe late check-out compliment. Second, at the breakfast time. I've been travelled all around the world , this is the first time in my life, we have to queuing again to enter the breakfast area as shown in the picture. I mean, is the management, which is a five-stars hotel, seriously about paying attention to their guests comfort? Third, the elevator in the Garden Wing II building was currently under repair. It's a shame that the hotel put up beautiful Christmas decorations that went viral on social media, but it wasn't in line with the infrastructure. Fourth, checking out time. We thought everything would be fine without any more problems. Instead, it turned out we had to queue again at the check-in counter just as we checked in. A five-star hotel should be a place to unwind and get comfort, but this is very unreasonable. Nevertheless, I still admit that the Christmas decorations in this hotel are very beautiful, that's why they went viral on social media. The facilities like gym, sauna, the playground, light market, and the garden are also quite pretty. This is my honest review, but I think I would think twice if I was offered to comeback again.

Great hotel, perfect location, awesome services. Coming back and forth, I have stayed in this hotel, had meetings and also enjoyed many of its fine restaurants, including the Chinese, Japanese and Italian restaurants, as well as the famous Kafe Bogor. Room is spacious, amenities are complete and if you need anything, the room service & concierge will always be ready to help. The pool is also awesome, love it! The breakfast at Kafe Bogor is also satisfying. If you come here, don’t miss the legendary oxtail soups or sop buntut! Super duper good! The lavish breakfast choices will certainly cater everyone’s appetite. It has big yard perfect for jogging & running and tennis courts as well. The gym is nice. ♿️ it’s also disability friendly. Lifts & designated toilets are available. Happy to be back here

    1. Old tired hotel. Even the front door man was to lazy to open the front door for me, even I was pulling 2 big luggages with me. I had to literally open the door with my foot. 2. Room was dated. Smelly yet clean enough. Ac was loud but cool enough. 3. The gym and sauna was very well equiped. Sauna, jacuzzi, steam room.. 4. Breakfast, room was overcrowded. Have to queue. But you will get one of the best breakfast in town. Large choice and tasty. 5. Location, in the middle of the main street of Jakarta.

Going there for my 2nd shot, really discipline, no queue, well maintained, the process also quick, and even the place already old, it's still nice to be there, calm, clean and the air feel fresh. Last time we went there to eat at the cafe, the food is nice and delicious. I really like their fresh bake dinner roll, nice and yummy.

    1. the breakfast was not buffet.just a simple standard menu. and for such simple menu, they don't serve in room. we.had to come to eat in public restaurant. which increase risk of virus exposure. 2. swimming pool was closed. tennis court was closed, gym was closed, 18th floor meeting place was closed. out of 4 restaurant , 3 are closed. what shock me is, when I book it online It shows all are open. If I knew this truth, I would.definitely not stay here.

The service is good, but unfortunately, I kinda get the impression that some rooms, especially the apartment rooms aren't really that maintained. Thankfully, the engineering team was fast in fixing the issues and room service is more than happy to help, but it could have been better if the issues were not there in the first place

Just spent nearly 10 days quarantine in one of garden wing apartments in this hotel...it was quiet, and had balcony with garden view, which were a plus during a quarantine. The room was getting old, but functional (much so compared to many similar hotels i've stayed in ASEAN rwgion). It has well equipped kitchen, but can add more things. Power outlet a bit weird as it uses British standard, as opposed to that widely across Indonesia. Food options for quarantine are generally okay, but you might want to choose for either Indonesian or Arabic options if possible as they are better than other options Staffs were very nice and helpful. They can do occassional cleaning upon request, and when they, they used proper medical gear. Overall it was a relatively good place to choose for quarantine.

One of the Legend hotel in Jakarta. I've stayed here since I was a kid, and it was amazing to see how well-maintained this hotel is until now. My room was spacious and cozy, the bed was comfortable, but the best feature of this hotel is its' outdoor and sport facilities. The pool was huge and well maintained. The spa and gym were so nice and luxurious. There is a wet and dry sauna, jacuzzi, cold pool and completed with changing room, shower, locker room, and powder room. They also have massage service. The parks were spacious with jogging track, tennis and basketball fields. You could also join the Taichi class, and many more. Overall it was a great stay and will definitely be back again.

I stay for 1 night with my family from 19 to 20 November 2022. Their facility are complete. Huge swimming pool, outdoor playground, tennis court, etc. Room is quite clean. We had dinner at Bogor Cafe (not my first time) and jt's definitely not their best service. We ordered fried carp and it's fishy. But their oxtail is still delicious. Overall we enjoy our stay.

A unique hotel. Great for conferences or for Jakarta exploration. Breakfast selection suitable for everybody. Several shops and restaurants inside. The absolute best about the hotel is the beautiful estate garden offers, among many beautiful and relaxation spots, a 50 m swimming pool, many tennis courts, playground, running circle (650 m tartan), wellness, gym and other activities.

This 5 stars hotel needs to review their lost & found process. The process is there but has to be supported by staff or management of the hotel. In other 3 stars hotel, eventhough I left my charger or flashdisk, or even my kid's toys, they called and reported to me a day after. But when I spent my 2 days of stay in Borobudur hotel and forgot my sealed jars left in the refrigerator, then they are just reported gone. So what is all about the lost & found process if this cannot help their guests?

Stayed there for three days. The first two days are fine. The last night was the worst. I had confirmed to the concierge that I need the car to the airport at 4am, not 2am as they had on the schedule. But the hotel still call my room at 2:15am and I had to repeat again that I need it at 4am and went back to sleep. It's not over. The guy called me again at 2:50 and asked me to go at 3am. Of course I rejected. So annoying. They should prioritize guests' convenience. After all, hotel is a place to sleep.

We had such a wonderful time staying at the Borobudur. I was in Jakarta for a business trip and took my parents along. It was quite a trip down memory lane for them. It's quite amazing how the management is able to maintain their originality and professionalism after all these years and some many competitions in Jakarta. Keep up the great work

The Borobudur hotel is a small city with restaurants, shops and night clubs. Loved our garden room with kitchen, spa and pool. Some things that can be improved: there were many electronic US-type sockets in the room, please fix to newer type. Also the bedding of the seats in the pool area is quite old and dirty. One last thing: it’s very expensive to order things, i.e. I paid 80k rp for an ice tea (lol at me)

I am very grateful to all employees of Borobudur Jakarta hotel who have provided me and my family with excellent service. This is an old hotel and needs renovation. Part of the rooms have been renovated. Forget the old ones. If you stay here, ask for the newly renovated one. The location is superb. Close to the train station. And it has a vast garden with olympic size swimming pool. The hotel has huge ballroom and several meeting rooms, which are always busy and occupied. The three restaurants here are all very good.

Facilities are great and lots of great food/restaurant options but unfortunately that’s where it ends. Lots of mosquitoes everywhere in this hotel and the wifi is poor. Had to do my business calls from lobby as only place wifi is stable. Managers attitude poor when providing feedback. Rooms are old and in need of service and refurb.

Go to this great hotel for 2nd time to meet old friends & family. Always memorable and put something nice in mind. Park space? Enough but need to be bigger. View? Wonderful and great at pendopo lounge. Food? One of their signature is Indonesian oxtail soup. Room? Big, comfy but need to be better next year after pandemic change to endemic. Location? Were a great spot, close to center of Jakarta. Not too crowded but it can be in the workday. Recommended? So far yes but if they don't get better, afraid that star can be lower.

Definitely 5 stars hotel for its services, room, and facilities. Children above 5yo is fully charged for breakfast. I experience some hotels charge breakfast for children above 10 or 12yo. Located in the middle Jakarta, it is constrained by ganjil-genap schedule during weekdays. I love the swimming pool...

We are in Quarantine here and the Appartment not was cleaning before well. Than not even a coffee Maschine here and food delivery is really late and food cold or not cooked right. Yesterday when we arrive water in shower was cold but they have fix is. Sorry to say that but this is never a 5 star hotel 😃

Great place with affordable price, including the room and facilities (recommended for big family vacation) don’t forget to take the sauna! The breakfast was fine, bring your sport shoes for tennis, basketball, badminton and gym.
