THE WORST HOTEL - DO NOT STAY. WATCH THE VIDEOS. This is in front of my room. Will give zero if I could. - UPDATE: 2.5 hours - Management did NOTHING. Stayed here for 4 nights. First night, the air con switch doesn’t work so it was freezing. I fell sick. There was constant construction on my floor, with many people walking around (not guest). But the second day was the WORST. I was woken super early at 6 am+. By loud banging and people shouting. The banging got louder and louder and it sounded like people throwing heavy things on the floor. (Video proof - THEY ARE KICKING THE DOOR IN FRONT OF MY ROOM!!!) At first I thought it was a big group and when I came out to check, it was a filming crew blocking my room. RIGHT IN FRONT OF NY ROOM. There’s at least 30-40 people gathered on floor 18. It is HORRIBLE. They’re doing a full shoot, and shouting and throwing things around. I called thrice, went down to reception twice. NO ONE DID ANYTHING. They keep saying they don’t know and will call me back. NO ONE DID. This is a 5 star hotel and I booked a business suite. How is this acceptable??????? 1. This is early 6-7 am. What kind of hotel allow filming at 6-7 am? On a floor there is guest?!!! 2. If you know you have contracted to film, why do you let a guest stay in the room opposite or even on the same floor???? Isn’t the point of booking a 5 star hotel to rest and have a good night sleep???? 3. How is it safe???? I don’t feel safe with 30-40 people walking around. IN FRONT OF MY ROOM. Btw; it’s also very smoky. I believe they smoke there. It’s ridiculous. MY SAFETY FEELS COMPROMISED!!!!! Is this what a 5 star hotel standard supposed to be??? Why am I paying for this treatment???? I waited 2 hours and NO ONE BOTHERED to even call back or resolve this. —- In addition, the hotel is EXTREMELY old. The aircon in my room doesn’t work… so I was freezing and felt sick as a result. The furniture is peeling and things don’t work. Room Is smelly and musky and I had to buy air freshener. But I am willing to overlook this if I can just have a good night sleep. But the filming, constant loud thudding noise and sacrifice guests safety is simply unacceptable!!!!!! — Seriously, see my profile. I NEVER complain even when service/ things are bad. This is just atrocious and unacceptable. The manager and staff attitude are the worst / makes anyone more angry.

Prior use the name of Artotel, this hotel was Crown Plaza. I heard that the hotel was renovated; however, the room I got was not yet renovated (still the old one). The room is quite old style but actually it shows that the quality of the furniture is good. However, the bathroom needs a repairment as soon as possible. The swimming was good but there was no gym for temporary because of the hotel renovation. Breakfast is pretty standard, not that much variation. The services were good, including receptions, cleaning staff, and restaurants. Overall, my stay was good, but I wish to have an upgrade room to the brand new room (after renovation).

Our stay at the five-star hotel was extremely disappointing. The towels were in terrible condition, and the rooms felt very old and neglected. To top it off, construction work on floors above us made the experience even worse. I wouldn't recommend this place. Update: management graciously moved us to a significantly better room—quieter and more spacious. They also sweetened the gesture with a piece of cake, offering a sincere apology. Many thanks for the thoughtful upgrade and kind gesture

This got to be the worst amongst all hotels I have ever stayed in. Check in service was too slow. I arrived at 02:52pm at the check in desk, but 60 minutes after checked in, I still haven't got a room key. When I finally got a key, the room was fine but the quilt was damp (too much of disinfectant sprayed according to the housekeeping assistant) that I had to ask for a replacement. The carpet was not clean, I found litter and hair. It's a good thing that the housekeeping staff eventually came around 5pm to re-vacuum the carpet) but I shall never return. In addition, fitness center was located in level 5 smoking area but access card was not automatically assigned to that level nor the room so we had to ask for assistance. When we reached the fitness center in the other end of level 5, we had to cancel our plan to use it as it was closed and none of staff was seen in the room.

Stayed for a night here in one of the Artsy rooms, the moment i stepped in the room i started smelling moldy/musty/dusty/old wood smell and i thought that must mean the room was vacant for a while. Amenities like hair dryer & iron were provided (as expected from a 5 star hotel) but unfortunately the toiletries were underwhelming. For a 5 star hotel i expected much better toiletries. Also i was unable to use the hair dryer in the bathroom bc it just wouldnt turn on there. Room cleanliness 3/5. The window glass was dirty so the city view wasnt clear. Over the phone service was constantly slow. On the bright side, the TV provided is alr a smart tv so you can youtube/netflix. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was nice. Loved the vintage vibes of the interior actually. There are areas where I felt like i traveled back in time 20 years and i liked it.

Definitely not a 5 star Hotel. The hotel is old and dilapidated. The renovations seen in the lobby, but not yet on the classic rooms and other facilities. The swimming pool deck is badly needs repair and unsafe. The room is outdated and the linens (especially the comforter) are not fresh. The bathroom has small bath tub, but some if the grout were moldy especially on the vanity sink near the faucets. On the plus side, the property strategically located near the highway , SCBD and major malls.

Prime location, and it's easy to reach via public transportation. The room is quite nice, and the staffs are friendly. I think the building needs to get revitalized, though. Despite getting the luxury hotel vibe, the look is quite outdated. Some carpets are pretty dusty, and we found cracks on the wall near our bed, too.

Perfect room and hotel for the price. Me, wife and 2 kids stayed at artsy twin room. The room is in new and clean condition (comfy bed as well). No complain at all. My booking included dinner and breakfast buffet, so I find it so worth the money.

Worse staycation experience ever. We have to leave immediately and decide not to spend the night there. The rooms aircon is not working properly, it is hot. We change the room and it is still the same. The receptionist didnt even appologize and offer us another room to keep us from leaving. Instead he blame us not choosing the room they assign to us, that they didnt.offer it to us. When we arrive the hotel lobby is dark and there is no sign of other guests. There is only 1 receptionist. As we walk the hallways, smell of old room, the hotel seems have been unoccupied for long time. We are complaining the room since the ac is not working. It tooks them 2 hours, to find the room, and it is just right next to us. When we switch the room, it is the same. The ac is not cool. We decided to leave. They should just closed the hotel.if they dont have money to renovate, do hotel maintenance properly. Especially to train their hotel staff how to ha dle customers. Will never return ever again!!

First night of 3 stay night at this hotel that I am staying in for business trip. The website says 5 star establishment, but it is far far from it! I stayed in many 3 star hotels which are wayyy wayy better than this. Rooms very old, dusty, musky.. non smoking rooms smell like smoke. They dont bother to fix the small stuff. Walls are stained. Cracks on walls.. they dont even bother to replace a tissue box which looks like its been through ww2. (Photos attached!) They all add up to make a very unpleasant resting experience. Front desk staff was nice and polite so no issues there and price is decent I guess. But be warned, it is not a 5 star establishment. They have a renovated room aparently but its double the price. So maybe they should split the hotel: old rooms 2 star hotel and maybe new rooms can have more stars (dont know though have not seen it) Definitely would rather choose other hotels in the area next biz trip (Mercure is a decent one!) Advice: dont have to do major renovations but maybe clean up the details a little.. many old hotels are still pretty decent if they just maintain it a little.

I picked the classic room as it met my budget and from the picture it looked neat and not quaint, but in reality I got a very old, dull room with an old TV set (which didn't even work!). The hotel itself claims that it is a 5 star hotel but the amenities are awful! I only got one small bottle of shampoo, one small bottle of soap, a soap bar, 2 toothbrushes and 2 toothpaste and a shower cap! They don't even bother to give extras. I am so disapppointed that I want to cancel my bookings for the rest of the 2 nites

The check-in time was quite long, around 40 minutes with the information that the room was being re-checked even though I arrived at 15:30 pm. After entering the room, I was quite entertained because the room was clean and quite spacious, and the view was pleasant because it faced Gatot Subroto street. The breakfast menu for a 5 star class should be better neither the variants nor the taste of the food. Especially the egg station which runs out at 9:45 am. Come on, how come the egg menu can run out for a hotel like Artotel. The elevator that can access the basement parking is lacking because there is only 1 unit. Meanwhile, there are 4 elevators to the rooms. The employees are very friendly and polite. Good Job Mr. & Mrs. Employee.

Had a very very unpleasant stay at this hotel. Staying only for one night. Overall the room was okay, I booked the newly renovated room (Artsy). And the room itself met my expectation, even though there are some details that still needs to be taken care of. For example, they're still using old towels from the previously operated by Crowne Plaza. The AC digital controller also still using Crowne Plaza logo, clearly they haven't updated it yet. Also the small details around the hotel area still outdated (still using Crowne Plaza signages board), they also did not provide in-house laundry service (I was being told upon my arrival, that they need to deliver the laundry to external laundry service outside the hotel in the morning and then they will return it to the guest in the evening around 6PM). 5-star service, huh? The worst part: In the morning, I was asking (through operator call) if I'd be able to check-out later that afternoon (around 1PM), and been told I could only leave the hotel by 12PM as per in-house rules. I had no problem obeying the rules, but the operator who was answering my call was very very rude. No manner at all while responding to guest' inquiry. While I was preparing for my check-out, I got a call from the operator (He) about 10 minutes after my first call, telling me that I need to leave my room 12PM sharp, no later than that. But the way he speaks to me is very unacceptable, very rude, as if I won't obey the rule and I was some random people staying in the hotel for free. I paid over a million rupiah only to be treated this way! Unfortunately, I didn't ask the name of the operator. Whoever that was, is this how you treat your guest? Is this how the so called "5-star hotel" receptionist and operator behave towards their guests? This hotel only deserves to be called 3-star hotel rather than 5-star. I've been staying in multiple Artotel properties, and this is obviously the worst hotel that I've ever stayed in. Definitely would not recommend it at all. And definitely would not return, period. The hotel management needs to learn from other giant hotel-chain like Marriott Group or Accor Group on serving and treating their guest. Please save your money and find a real "5-star hotel" elsewhere.

Very disappointed. Room rate was expensive. This hotel is just a renovated version of an older hotel (Crown Plaza Hotel), so many facilities are not new/ not yet renovated. The lobby is very dim and old, nothing special. The front desk consists of only 2 persons, this caused a long queue. Rooms are nice though, however, some equipments are broken. Bathroom windowe are dirty, bathtub sink is displaced, and thr electric output was broken, and the most disappointing, the room phone is bad, making calls so difficult. The staffs are so friendly and polite, but, services are so slow and so unresponsive. Breakfast is really bad, all foods taste horrible. Swimming pool is small. There are no gym / spa facilities. The worst of all, extra bed is too expensive. I'll never return to this hotel again! Don't stay in this hotel.

Location : very strategic in the centre of jakarta. Hospitality : best of its own, the staff is friendly, talk with respective sound and helpfull. Facilities : I come when there's a wedding, so it's a bit packed in the basement, i park the car in the othwr building and walk 200m to the hotel. They have 2 type rooms : Classic and Artsy, both has twin and double bed. I choose the new artsy room for my stay, the room is clean, ammenities is wonderful, all provided includes hair dryer & iron. Each room has bathub, speaker and smart tv which you can connect with your phone, netflix and chill should be run smoothly here 😂 Price : the price start fr. 1.2K, i got promo so it went about 900K. really worth the price! It's 5 stars hotel afterall.

The hotel room (classic) was super old and run down. It looks like 30 years old and never get renovated. most of the wall paintings are peeled off and some of the walls are cracked down. The staff told us that artsy room is the newly renovated but they sell it double the price. the lobby is very nice, but i was shocked when i enter the lift which was smelly and even more shocked when i enter the room (can see from the pictures). It should no where near a 5 star hotel I strongly dont recommend this hotel as the room was sold at about Rp 1mio. It looks like a 2 star hotel. The staff told us that the newly renovated room is sold at Rp 2.6mio

We stayed at Artsy room with a bit high expectation of the new renovated rooms. But it kind of failed. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable enough. Found a peace of hair under the pillow The room was not sound proof. The toilet a bit smell. We had an inconvenient time during breakfast as we had it at the lobby area with a view of staffs taking and moving chairs all around as it was a bit crowded with minimum space. Had a good time swimming though. Location wise very good.

Stayed for a night here, good location, very near to scbd. Booked their cheapest room, which i believe to be the older room. Check in was easy, but i need to put deposit for extra room key, something i dont experience too often.. staffs were friendly and they have a nice artistic grand lobby too.. Room was spacious, nice comfy bed. Pillow is okay, clean sheet, but you can see that the room is aging too, something here and there. Nice big window overviewing the city and the pool. Pool was nice and modern. Next to it was the gym which is small but typical of hotel of this class. Enough to keep the muscle warm. No breakfast on the stay.

The location and rooms are great. However, the services really bad. I have registered my car in the lobby but they still charged the parking fee for 2 days 1 night. They informed that the check in time is on 2PM but when I arrived, the receptionist said that the check in time on 3 PM. How come?! I also have infomed them earlier that I will have an early check in on 1 PM. They said ok. but from 10 rooms I booked, only 4 rooms ready at 1 PM and the rest ready on 2 PM above. I have requested for 2 xtra bed for 2 rooms. but when the check in time, the xtra bed is not there -_- I also have bbq dinner there. I booked for 20 pax but they just provide the tables for 18 pax. not a pleasant service but at least the room is nice.

Check-in and check out went efficiently, the service was quite friendly and attentive. Reservation from traveloka were well received. Room according to request: high floor, non smoking, twin beds. The rooms are quite spacious with good lighting and outside scenery. But the mattress is a bit tilted, maybe because there's too much sitting in that section. All facilities are running well. Spacious bathroom with bath tub (I really much prefer shower, but this option doesn't exist). There is an electric kettle, 2 bottles of mineral water. Tea, coffee, sugar, also diet sugar. The pool is lovely and not too windy even though it's on the 3rd floor and open air. Breakfast is pleasant, the food is standard for a five-star hotel. The taste is not bad. Friendly service. My mother left traditional outfit which was quite expensive, after calling the hotel, a short while later I was contacted via WA. The next day the outfit was taken by our driver, smoothly. Alhamdulillah Next to the hotel there is a mall which used to be quite famous. But now 90% of the shops are closed. But there is a quite big supermarket with complete products and fresh fruits. There is also the famous fast food restaurant AW, the delicious halal Chinese restaurant SOLARIA. The hotel is located on a large and congested main road. If you want to go sightseeing, there are always Blue Bird taxis stand-by, and their service is good, safe and reliable, eventhough the driver can not speak English.

When I read the review first, they told me to choose the renovated (artsy) room, so I did and I’m not regretting it. The room is clean, spacious and smells nice. The location is great, only a block away from MRT station and TJ. You can walk to GBK to do morning or evening jog. The pool is beautiful at night but I can’t find the location of the fitness centre 🤣 Food was not memorable, and I think the front office’s (or housekeeping?) work is overload since it took almost forever to get a room ready 🤣

Nice hotel with a spacious room. Visited this on an event hosted at their multipurpose hall. The hall is very spacious equipped with good sound system. The meals are surely tasty and complete. Could really improve on the parking lot, especially for motorbikes as it was quite spooky underground.

The refurbished rooms were nery nice as were the corridors. Service for breakfast was very good, and enjoyed the food. The club is also a good local spot for drinks and good music. Cleaning staff were very attentive and Yanesha made sure to give me extra amenities as she saw that I needed them and took initiative. Great work!

booked Artsy Room via Circle apps and got 50% because It was my birthday month. Booking process was excellent. All I need was a secret code provided by the app, and an identity card as a proof that my DOB is just as I stated in the app. During my stay, I got a birthday present from the hotel management. What a surprise!!. Thanks Artotel.

Stayed in Jakarta for the GIFA exhibition in Indonesia this year. Everything was ok. Rooms are a bit old but comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good with lot of choice. We had dinner in the restaurant as well as Shisha Bar. Both with good service and excellent food. Also used pool and gym area. Pool everything ok, in gym one aircon was not working. As usual the one I need close to the running belt. All over it had been 5 goods days in Jakarta.

The room is spacious, but unfortunately it’s quite old. Only small detail needs to be fix, other than that it’s very spacious and very comfortable. For a hotel that cost me around $60.00 usd, breakfast is quite good. Coffee is decent, most of the local Indonesian foods are good, unfortunately because the regular place that served breakfast is being renovated, we have to eat in their Tapas Bar…. In results most of the foods are cold. Other than that, most foods are more than acceptable. One thing that I’m very happy with this hotel is the service from all the staff. My hats off to the management team of Artotel Mangkuluhur, you guys definitely did a fine job with all your employees. Honestly the service here even better compare to some 5 stars hotel in Jakarta.

The meeting area seemed gloomy. I went on friday so needed to go for Friday prayer, but the mosque was outside, small and not well-maintained, to be honest. The watermelon tasted bad. I didn't like the food.

I went here when there was a concert of AURORA at Balai Sarbini. My friend who's an AURORA fan too went here with me. We were very happy when this hotel was only 1 minute to walk there <3. This is quite an old hotel, but yet the facilities and atmosphere is very enjoyable. It is luxurious, and elegant. Not only that, the aesthetic is very pleasing. They have a mix of the red-ish colours and vintage vibes that looks very romantic. Yet, we got a room that had a bit of a trouble. I think it was the lights in the bathroom. The buttons were a bit broken so we can't locate and turn it on.

Beautiful lobby, nice pool, excellent breakfast. Rooms tired and old, not what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. Wallpaper drawn on, peeling, or taken off the walls. Lights miscellaneously not working e.g. bathroom always dark. Smell of cigarette smoke, even in non-smoking rooms. A shame.

The room is large and the bathroom stuff is complete. The food is good, a lot of dish choices. I love the "tarik tea". The location is strategic, we can find shuttle bus and taxi near from the hotel.

Of all the worse services I have ever received from a hotel, this is is by far the worst. We couldnt set the temperature in our room and it left us shivering. My car was parked in the basement and it was hit but hotel simply told me they didnt have the cctv to show me who hit it and that's all. We organized an event in the meeting room and the sales marketing was nowhere to be found when we needed her for the meeting room purposes. We organized regular event there and we verbally agreed that if any others would like to book certain meeting room please inform us since we always need more meeting rooms, not only did they not notify us, they let others booked it so now we had to move the whole event with less than 3 weeks time. Trust me, find another hotel.

The staff is pleasant, however considering this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel I was massively disappointed. I came here with my girlfriend on business and I've stayed in a ton of hotels around the world. This would rank lower than most 3 stars I've even stayed in, and for sure isn't even close to on par with the typical 5 star (kimpton, kempinski, jw, etc). The first room we had (see pictures) was their non renovated room that had a ton of stains and had this smell of pee mixed with old cigarettes (non smoking room). They gave us an option of a new room which we saw and there were still stains. They said if we wanted a non stained room we needed to pay for an upgrade...seems a bit odd but ok, paid for the upgrade. Low and behold the upgrade still has peeling wall paper and some stains, though it is substantially nicer. I'd highly consider reclassing this hotel to more of a 3 star at best. On a positive note, friendly staff and the breakfast is nice. I wouldn't choose to stay here again though.

Located near the infamous Simpang Susun Semanggi. It was great to stay in this hotel, 10 years ago, somehow while I stayed last week seems they in a process of transforming into a new concept, but not fully finished. So there a several inconstant theme. Some room still warped in 10 years ago nuances , some leak detected, damp and dim. However, some already changed with newly furnished room and amenities. Oh.. The food.. I preferred the snacks over a main courses, the taste of some asian and European food still not met my expectations. Also the kitchen crew needs to calculate precisely the amount of cooking, several times me & my colleagues experienced the shortage Let see how the transformation goes.

A dated hotel which would have been good during yesteryears. Big rooms make up for the old interiors. They only slapped a new name to the hotel without sprucing up the rooms. (Unlike the marketing video being played in the rooms) Massage is steep too which to me is quite unsettling. Good pricing for the rooms however make up for what it lacks. The pool is small for large number of rooms. The lifts can be slow due to having only 4 that serve that many floors. Does have good points for having 4 joints within the building for food. Also has a club - Boca Rica. Young people joint. Do note that the hotel does not give carpark grace period so add that to your Grab/Go-Car. Good WiFi, strong Aircon, working mini fridge and good hot water shower comforts me too. This hotel is good for places to meet at Kuningan or Rasuna Said but making that U-turn to Sudirman / Senayan area may be painful. Close to Senayan Golf and Jakarta Golf Club if you are keen in golf.

I stay in classic room, and even though it looks old but the room and all the furnitures are clean! I didn't smell any dust or "old furniture" smells. The location is great. The price is kinda worth it, cause it's hard to find any affordable price with those 5 stars facilities in Jakarta. Definitely will stay here again once I visit Jakarta.

If you're here for a business trip, I think you've come to the right place. There's an office desk in the room which makes it convenient to work. But if you're here for a staycation, I suggest that you look elsewhere. There's not much to do here, it's quite a boring place to stay. A nitpicking thought: how do I make a coffee in my room? :D

I stayed at artsy twin room, the services were good, the room cleanliness also nice, the breakfast was so-so, overall it was nice stay. Few minros: -the toilet near the restaurant is not clean, no hand soap. I need to fo the first floor just for washing my hand -I ask the front to refill the tissue, yet they didn't do it, but I ask to fix the tv audio, they fixed it.... like do you forgot to bring tissur? -the toilet exhaust is not working. -and please clean the window thank you.

This place fell extremely short of expectations. It is a 2 star hotel at absolute best. They have a fancy lobby and thats about it. The room- bed springs were felt and were uncomfortable. The blanket was thin. The thermostat wouldn't change temperature. The toilet could barely flush at ALL and could barely flush toilet paper. It took over 30seconds to flush even just water. The room smelled bad. The hallways smelled bad too. Room was dirty. Carpets were dirty. The shower curtain was moldy and the curtain hangers were mismatched and cheap plastic. No microwave in the room. The vent in the room looked like it was about to fall off. Stains on the carpet. Breakfast had a great amount of variety but lacked flavor and freshness. Pool side looks like it's been worked on. The beds legs were bent sideways- making it feel unsafe. We were let down by our rooms. Some of their rooms have been renovated- our room shouldn't even be considered rentable and should have been significantly cheaper based on the quality, lack of cleanliness, and safety concerns. You'd be much better off looking elsewhere. They'll tell you that you should have booked their fancier rooms for even more money. Just laughable. Poor service and no remedies were made by the hotel about our concerns- they just don't care. They respond to reviews with their lame excuse about booking a different room, but why would they rent disgusting broken rooms if it's 5 star? Shower Aldo was plugged and water wouldn't drain. Tub was cracked and dirty too. You could get a better hotel for half price all over indonesia. Take heed and book elsewhere.

When I got there the hotel was still under renovation as they are transforming from ex- Crowne Plaza Hotel. Located in Central Jakarta where allow you to go anywhere downtown nearby. Some facilities may not be the best due to the renovation. Like; the entrance is not covered so you may experience getting wet under the rain during your stay to get into the hotel from outside. But otherwise, the room itself is very comfortable with bath tub for artsy-room type and Smart TV which works fine. Staff is friendly & polite but nothing exceptional. I wouldn’t mind to go back there if price is correct.

Late check in at 4 pm, but when I was complaint to Receptionist, He gave me free breakfast for 2 guests and late check out at 3 pm. I got clean room with bathtub and nice view. Overall we satisfied with Artotel. Thank you

My colleagues and I had bad experiences staying at this five stars hotel. 1. We checked in at 6 pm. 2. Hotel staff didn't inform us that the meal was set in family setting at dinner time. Hence, we waited in a long time. 3. When we had a meeting (we rent the conference room btw) our snacks was eaten by another visitors because no staff controlled the area. When he found out, he was just put a divider to prevent another visitors coming in and didn't replace the missing snacks until we asked. 4. The staff rejected to help us to take a pic (it only takes few seconds!). Hope it can be a valuable input for the management team. Cheers.

I seriously wouldn't recommend it. They need to be more polite to visitors. They make you feel like your in the military.. just because the location is good, it doesn't mean that you don't need to your job , which is be polite.

Old but nice hotel. I went there for company's meeting. It was the Crowne Plaza Hotel before Artotel took over the place and renovates all places gradually. When i went there, the main lobby was under renovation. The salesperson mentioned the renovation of the lobby will be finished by the end of December. Artotel has lots of meeting rooms with reasonable prices. The food on the restaurant was ok-ish. I had a buffet lunch and dinner there. The variation of foods is good. Overall, it's a good place for company meetings if you don't mind the odd-even plate regulation

I enjoy the staycation here. We can use kitchen, microwave, washing machine as well. Recommended for working from hotel or staycay with friends. The others facilities are good and i can enjoy the city view from my room/swimming pool. The room consist of two types with or without balcony and breakfast not available. The staff has good service 👍 But, i have little issue with the water heater and tissue (it's has bad smell 😕).

This hotel has seen better days. Big rooms, but with old fixtures — worn headboard, unstable chair, cracked bathroom sink, leaky tub/shower, broken toilet (I fixed it myself), broken refrigerator, spotty WiFi, beyond bottled water and toiletries, no amenities in the room at all — not even labels on the telephone, a directory of services or restaurants in the hotel, or a price list for laundry. Hotel staff are nice, but speak poor English. Location is not bad, being near to two Transjakarta corridors and a ten minute walk from an MRT station and a 20 minute walk from Pacific Place and other SCBD locations, but walkers or users of public transit will find themselves climbing many stairs to cross the highway. Go-Jeks/Grabs have some trouble finding the place as it used to be called the Crowne Plaza. Annoyingly, they charge an IDR 5,000 parking fee for ride share vehicles so you will find approximately $0.50 added to your ride fee. They are not alone in doing this, but I abhor the practice and many hotels do not do this. Overall, if you can get this hotel very inexpensively on an app such as Agoda it is not a bad choice. The room is clean and the water pressure in the shower is excellent. But I would not pay full price for a worn down place with no character in an only okay location.

Previously Crowne Hotel and now renaming as Artotel. Definitely an old building with some renovation at some floors that they over different rate between the new furnish and the old one. For me the classic room was terrible, only TV that might be upgrade/new while the rest was old stuff. The bed is very uncomfortable because the springs are worn out and if you sleep it becomes uneven. With the price given you can find new great hotel with the good quality and best location in Jakarta rather than stay in this old building. the toilet is clogged and the water flush doesn't run smoothly making it very uncomfortable. trust me you will take A LOT OF TIME TO FLUSH YOUR SHITT! not to mention the drains that aren't designed properly resulting in puddles if the water spills or hits the bathroom floor. air conditioning (AC) is another very bad problem. It wasn't cold and when they called the engineering staff they still didn't get a solution because they didn't follow up with the receptionist and didn't update their work progress. The Reception??? OH MY GOD i call for several time around 11.00pm to asking about my air conditioning in my room not SOLVED. so i sleep with warm room and not comfortable. i might be only 1 night but, i always try one night first and later come back again if the hotel is a nice to stay. Restaurant area (BERANDA) yea... another crowded place on breakfast time without any hospitality, not assisting by the staff and we just find the table that exist and just run thru anything without assistance. The variety of the foods is a lot but PLAIN, definitely tasteless. maybe if you on budget you can try and accept the situation, but for me as a staycation person who love to enjoy hotel to hotel for a nice stay. a very not recommended. Maybe different story with other, but yea .... i better choose another hotel with the same price but a QUALITY and WELL DESERVE brand and hospitality oh last thing - the elevator too slow and we need to wait 10 minutes for every time wanna go up or down. Maybe to big as this is an old building with an old facilities and system.

Great room, great breakfast! It was. Crowne Plaza hotel but acquired by Artotel Group. The room was old but well maintained. For a room that cost bellow IDR 1 Mill, everything was perfect!
