A nice museum that sits right in the heart of Jakarta's Old Town (Kota Tua) district. The building where the museum occupies now was formerly the office of the Nederlandsche Handel-Maatschappij (Netherlands Trading Society) which was completed in the early 1930s, and has been turned into a museum since 1998. Great place to learn about the country's banking history from the colonial times as well as the history of Bank Mandiri itself. Many old collectibles can be seen here, from old banknotes, retro ATM machines and other vintage banking related items. Also a perfect place for photos, and there's a small cafe inside. Unfortunately certain areas were closed and off-limits when we went there. Ticket price is only Rp 5000. The museum is accessible by TransJakarta Koridor I with Kota bus shelter within walking distance. In the future, it will be served by the MRT Jakarta going from Lebak Bulus Grab.

Bank Mandiri Museum (Indonesian: Museum Bank Mandiri) is the corporate museum of the namesake Bank Mandiri, located in the old banking district of Jakarta Old Town in northern Jakarta, Indonesia. The museum is housed in the former headquarters of the Netherlands Trading Society, one of the primary ancestor of ABN AMRO. Its collection consists of various items related to banking activity and its development in "Tempo Doeloe" (in Indonesia meaning: "Good old days"). Its collection range from colonial bank owned operating supplies, securities, old currencies, old Dutch safe deposit box, and many others. In addition the building's interior, old ornaments, and furniture is kept as it was during the colonial era. You can feels 1950s era Banks if you visit here.

Entering the museum will take you back to the time when Jakarta was still referred to as Batavia, one of the most sophisticated colonial capital city in East Asia. This museum demonstrates banking practices back in the colonial times. The ticket is very affordable (around US$1 per person). The museum's main attractions include antique vaults, statues, pictures, administrative equipments used in banking activities, and old money and bank note samples. Some dioramas depicts how my ancestors work hard to sustain the lavish lifestyle of Dutch elites. This scene is also depicted in the large stained glass windows. The museum is open from 8 AM to 4 PM daily.

Located in Old City of Jakarta or Kota Tua Jakarta. Connected directly with way to Transjakarta bus station or even train station. Easy to find another options of public transportations. It's big museum, good maintenance but still cheap price. There are AC and many fans inside. Some spaces are closed, we don't know how but with open spaces, it's enough to make us tired. Recommended place to visit. But unfortunately not accessible for disabled one.

It was nice. The museum has a great stained glass art. My students and I visited there to observe the stained glass art collection for our Math Project. The cafe inside the museum was cozy also. The officers there were helpful and kind. Especially Ibu Wilma and Ibu Adifa. We also had the chance to stroll around Kota Tua. What a nice experience.

Good old memorable museum. Located at Kota tua, surrounded by some orher museums. A few dioramas and many ancient collections can be found inside the museum, with explanation in Dutch, Bahasa, and QR-code. Entrance fee for visitor is only Rp.5000/person. Souvenir shop and deposit counter available at the entrance.

Indonesia bank/economic. During the visit, you can see some old time bank equipment and development. As my point of view, this museum has many spots to help you take a photo, it is suitable for young people come here visit. However, here may have 30-40% information is about Mandiri bank itself and his development. The visit fee is 15000RP.

Terrible experience … impossible to enjoy the visit, a whole school were present, the guide’s explanation is resonating in the whole museum, kids are in the way and more noise at the background with staff fixing things with a machine … you guys shouldn’t allow the guide to be so loud and noisy , thanks for the headache . Wouldn’t recommend as I can’t focus on my visit and the readings and people are disrespectful, taking the whole space, speaking loudly

Pros 1. Very informative museum that shows how's Mandiri Bank become one of the largest national bank 2. Has many collection to show 3. Rather than using modern technology, its standard use the statue and dioramas, but all them clean and neat 4. The museum doesn't has any modern renovation, so congratulations for you loved the old building here Pros 1. Some part of the museum doesn't use the proper AC, just using the exhaust

A museum about Bank Mandiri's history, and it is located near Jakarta Kota Station and Kota Tua. It will crowd with people on weekends. Don't be panic if you get hungry after roaming the museum there are a lot of food stall on the outside. The ticket has a different price for local and foreign tourist, 5k rupiahs for local and 15k rupiahs for foreigner.

Mandiri Museum Is A Good Museum To Visit To Be Honest. Although It's Not As Good As The Museum Next Door (Bank Indonesia Museum) But The Historical Collections Are Great. There Are Many Old Safes Around The Museum. There Are Rooms That Were Used To Keep Money. You Can Also Find Old Money.

(Translated by Google) This museum is located on the site of the old Jakarta complex next to the Bank Indonesia museum. Having a history that is thick with the development of banking in Indonesia, especially in Java, this museum still maintains the colonial heritage buildings. There is a brief historical presentation through dioramas that are displayed and arranged in such a way that we can see it on a 1: 1 scale. The collection is not far from the equipment and equipment used in ancient banking activities, from cash counting machines, ATM machines, and communication machines. , save up to securities. This museum is suitable for family tourism. The entry ticket is affordable and the staff is friendly. During the pandemic, the museum has also opened by applying health protocols. Love history so that it is not easily divided.

Very detail information about the history of banking in Indonesia with many awesome artifacts and great ambience. For people who love historical sites, or just simply curious about Jakarta's history, I will always recommend to visit Old Batavia. The atmosphere, the buildings, the ambience are rich with history. Totally one of "must visit" place in Jakarta. If you are even curiouser, you can always ask the employee inside the museum to give you a simple or thorough tour for you to understand more about the marvelous yet terrifying stories Indonesian people endured during the colonial era. Keep in mind that parking is a bit difficult in this area and only few car parking spots. My recommendation is to take public transportation, which is not hard because there are easy accesses to bus, train, and other smaller public transports. Other than that, please be aware of your belongings at all time. Dressed simple, not too open and not too flashy. Since this is a public space with many outdoor areas, it will be very hot during the day, and unfortunately there are many pickpockets in the area, but I have visited this place many, many times and it's always safe for me. Just be aware :) Lastly, enjoy the food! So many traditional food surrounding the place that you can try, there are also cafe if you want someplace cool, but the cafes are a bit expensive. I would highly recommend outdoor food while you are there than the indoors so you can try the real Indonesian's food! Have fun!

(Translated by Google) The sensation of entering this museum feels really back in time, especially since the basement has lots of ancient safes and books. Not only filled with banking, but also old stuff from time to time (eg computers). It's really cold, but on the top floor which contains the names of Mandiri leaders from that era, the lighting is a bit scary. (Original) Sensasi masuk museum ini serasa back in time bgt apalagi bgn basement yg banyak brankas kuno dan buku-bukunya. Ga cuma diisi ttg dunia perbankan, tp jg barang-barang jadoel dr masa ke masa (mis. komputer). Dingin bgt, but di lantai atas yg berisi nama-nama pemimpin Mandiri dr masa ke masa itu kurang penerangannya jd agak horror.

Loved visit the museum. All the exhibits are well preserved. You can bring your children and teach them about banking in old days. You can explore all the rooms including underground level where there is a huge safe room. I mean very huge safe room. Its a lil bit creepy while you inside the safe room...

It's a good place to learn how was the banking system from a very old decade. The building has been renovated, but still keep it's authentic style. A Europe architecture. Good place to bring your kids. But if I may suggest, don't come to this place at early morning time, as it's place will brought a spooky atmosphere when you explore this place alone. Specially a giant safe deposit boxes room that located under the floor. Ticket will cost IDR 5,000 for Indonesian, and IDR 10,000 for foreigner kids/student, while for adult will be IDR 15,000. Special for Bank Mandiri customers you just need to pay IDR 3,000 but the officer never ask, so you need to present a prove before purchase a ticket.

The entrance fee is 3000 idr for Mandiri customer (bring the Mandiri debit card or cc), and 5000 idr for public

One of the best heritage buildings in Jakarta with a Dutch colonial architectural style with an attractive interior design using high-quality solid teak wood elements that are more than a hundred years old. Inside there is a meeting room with good room acoustics, suitable for official meetings or music recitals. But the available projectors already need upgrading so that they can be used for on-screen presentations with good and clear image resolution.

I love this museum as they provide detail information about Bank Mandiri and banking services in Indonesia. They have interesting photo spot, diorama, and various informations. The museum itself divided into first floor (which provide informations about banking history in Indonesia), basement (provide information about investment and money safe), and second floor. I believe Museum Mandiri is one of must visit options for people visiting Jakarta.

Worth a visit if you are in Kota Tua. The exhibition is ok, but the main draw is the historic building itself. The basement has a collection of safes and you can enter the original vault room there as well. Tickets are cheap.

(Translated by Google) Museum Mandiri is one of my favorites when spending the weekend. Sayanf because it's a pandemic so I can't go there yet. Access from the busway stop is also good, you just have to block 😂 from the underground bridge, the one with the fountain. All good atmosphere, especially upstairs. It feels really vintage vibes, suitable for photography. Moreover, there used to be an Omnia event, an exhibition of paintings by Leonardo da Vinci, so it was very busy. Well, the lower part of the museum, or the one leading to the safe room, somehow I got a little chill but it's exciting! There are lots of archives of certificates of colonial companies, as well as old coins in glass. Anyway, it's fun. Really recommend 😀 (Original) Museum Mandiri adlaah salah satu favorit saya ketika menghabiskan weekend. Sayanf karena lagi pandemi jadi belum bisa kesana. Kerasa banget vintage vibes nya, cocok utk fotografi. Pokoknya seru deh. Recommend banget 😀
