The
West
Mall
is
a
sprawling
complex
offering
artificial
recreational
areas
to
replace
green
areas
and
parks
that
are
largely
missing
in
Jakarta.
It
is
home
to
a
wide
variety
of
high-end
brands,
as
well
as
more
affordable
options,
as
well
as
excellent
street
foods
outside
the
West
Mall
that
should
have
the
right
to
be
inside
the
mall
also.
There
is
also
a
large
food
court
with
a
variety
of
cuisines
to
choose
from.
The
mall
is
well-maintained
and
cleans
up
to
the
minute
details,
and
the
staff
is
friendly
and
very
helpful
and
I
hope
they
are
paid
far
above
the
minimum
wage.
The
mall
is
at
the
central
location
in
Jakarta,
making
it
easy
to
get
to,
makes
us
wonder
how
they
occupy
a
vast
commercial
area
close
to
a
historical
landmark.
The
mall
can
be
crowded
at
times,
especially
on
weekends
as
there
are
almost
no
green
areas
in
Jakarta.
The
prices
at
the
mall
can
be
high,
so
it
is
not
the
best
place
to
go
for
budget-friendly
shopping.
The
mall
seems
not
to
apply
any
green
building
or
green
energy
design
and
there
is
not
a
lot
of
natural
light
inside.
The
mall
is
a
maze
and
is
a
bit
overwhelming,
especially
for
first-timers,
and
for
senior
citizens.
Yet,
as
most
malls
do,
it
is
a
reliable
place
to
find
what
you
are
looking
for.
Car
parking
can
be
costly
and
hard
to
find.
Anticipate
people
driving
recklessly
and
selfishly
within
the
mall
surroundings.
