(Translated by Google) The nature reserve of the forest includes a natural forest area with very old forest. On the steep moraine slopes towards Lake Mälaren the tallest old pine trees grow. Getting up there can be a challenge, as the steeple is swamped by large boulders and fallen trees. Something for the adventurous - but caution is needed. 11000 years ago, the decline of the inland ice was halted and for about a thousand years the ice front moved back and forth across the Stäket and curved ridges of large boulders. Some parts of the reserve can therefore be difficult to access, but there are a few paths you can follow.

Great for a bit of light cycling in the woods near Stockholm. Got some video of some of the local wildlife: It's apparently a slow worm, also known as a deaf adder. It's actually not a snake but actually a legless lizard.

A remarkably visible fortress ruin considering its age. Great views over the straits. Perfect place for a bit of exploration or just a picnic.

Iron age is nothing to underestimate, old rocks and all trees with amazing lakeview. There are different places to sit in private even if it is crowded.

Great views and nice walkings paths. We took a car there and on a sunny day the parking space might be full.

Walk, bike, hike or go for a run in a wonderful forest full of life and gorgeous nature. Lots of trails around here, terrific place to explore with the kids or just log of from the world and indulge in recreation!💙Don't miss the vantage point on top of the mountain, sometimes they climb that mountain 😜

An observation tower from about the year 800 - 1200 years ago - which checked on the boat traffic on the Lake Mälaren. It is one of the highest points in the area, with spectacular views. You can cycle or walk on well maintained paths. It is on th route, if you follow the cycle path around the Lake Mälaren. There are boxes with dry firewood, which you can take to the fireplaces below and at the top of Gåseberg. Bring your food and prepare it there. Very few people walk up to this place.

Beautiful view of the Mälaren. Great vegetation, fantastic for kids as well as there are fallen trees that can be climbed and the landscape in general varying a lot. The ruins are not very spectacular, but it’s still worth a visit because of the incredible view from the top. Some good beaches and barbecue sites are there as well.

A lovely and relaxing forest, not too far from Kungsängen Station. Absolutely wonderful if you want a nice quick break from Stockholm - all you need to do is grab the pendeltåg heading towards Bålsta. Bring a good pair of boots and a decent backpack with some snacks and a bottle of water for a nice picnic. (And don't leave any litter!)

(Translated by Google) Beautifully! Nice with real forest to run or walk in! No treadmill will ever be able to beat it! (Original) Vackert! Trevligt med riktig skog att springa eller promenera i! Inget löpband kommer någonsin att kunna slå det!

(Translated by Google) Nice way, however, the problem with autumn weather is that it learns muddy in many places, some they are shared with horses (Original) Fin väg, dock är problemet med höstväder är att det lär lerigt på många ställen, vissa de delas med hästar
