A beautiful hotel, I would say it's a manor and location was exquisite. The hotel provides organic food, free parking, the staff was excellent and kind. Stayed here for a family wedding and it just felt like home. The weather was perfect and since we came all the way from Dubai, I must say, it was literally paradise for us with all the nature surrounding us. And a beautiful lake nearby, an excellent place for photo shoots.

The food at dinner was absolute joke. Vegetarian option of the main course was exactly the same dish without the meat! This meant that vegetarians were served literally a plate with two carrots and stripe of sauce next to them, and obviously this was costing the same as the dish with 150-200g chicken filé with the carrots. Also other food restrictions were delt in same fashion at the restaurant, meaning that if you were allergic to something it was just left out not replaced with something else. The "relax and gym" are also a joke. There is a sauna, but it was cold (maybe +40C) and it never warmed up from this. This is an insult even to Swedish bastu not even to mention what it is for a Finn. Pool is not for swimming as it is 50cm deep 10m long and 5m wide with +37C water. Gym is in two small rooms with no view to outside. The views and rooms are nice but otherwise this was absolutely the worst place our company has had a conference in.

In July 2023 we held our wedding here (both ceremony and the reception), and our experience was absolutely fantastic! We have experienced the best service with the best food at the most spectacular venue we have ever seen (and we have looked at a lot of venues before we found Bergendal). A special thanks to Mattias Larsson for orchestrating the most perfect wedding we could've wished for :) Us and all of our guests were completely blown away!

The room i got was ok. Looked good. But sound isolation was bad, so everyone walking by was very disturbing. The food at bergendals though was superb! Very good.

Amazing chill out zone in the vicinity of large Stockholm. Highly recommended for relaxation or conference!

Very nice and friendly staff. We spent a day in the restaurant and bar area having a full day with conversations and planning for work. The lunch was great and the staff was very welcoming and caring.

What a lovely location. I enjoyed my stay here a great deal. A rare hotel in Sweden to actually offer free car parking to it's guests. Also a super restaurant and bar. And the most interesting staircase of any hotel I have ever stayed in. Would be more than happy to stay here again. Wonderful!

A beautiful manor house, tastefully decorated inside. Went there for lunch and being vegetarian, my hopes were not too high but I was very pleasantly surprised! A healthy mix of vegetables with mayonnaise and sea weed caviar :) The outdoor area is what I fell in love with. The water stretched out far, a few yachts lined on the side and greenery all around. What I found to be the best part of my visit was the service at Bergendal. I was attended to by Matias today and he was outstanding - very courteous, helped me with lifting the pushchair over the stairs, had a good sense of humour and spoke fluent English! This is definitely a place I would love to visit over and over again.

Excellent location close to Stockholm but in the middle of nature. I was staying overnight and for one conference day. Great premises for conferences. Good food. Buffet didn't offer the widest variety but tasted good. Hotel rooms are not especially modern. Quite the opposite actually. Cozy but look like from 70's. The building is interesting. Built on a slope. Old mansion and it's side buildings connected with a 70's style architecture.

We originally booked Bergendal for our wedding and sent the deposit in Feb 2022 but decided to cancel due to the ongoing issues we experienced with Hakan Holmgren (Event Manager). Where to begin…it’s difficult to know whether the problems were caused by incompetence or outright lying and deceit, either way it is the opposite experience you expect from a wedding venue. On our first visit Hakan said we could have private access to Herrgarden and Falkberget (if we pay for both areas - which we agreed to), a completely flexible menu and could bring an external food truck for the evening snack. Soon afterwards the inconsistencies began when we were told that the food truck would not be allowed and 9 months later we scheduled a planning meeting (where Hakan decided to not show up and instead we spoke to the Restaurant Manager) where we discovered that Herrgarden would look like a building site because of roof renovations for all of July 2023 (our wedding was 15 July) which Bergendal had known about for a long time but had neglected to inform us, the Manor House would also be open to the public for A La Carte, the food was not flexible and we would instead choose from a selection of options and any further changes would be charged accordingly. To ‘compensate’ us for the problems, Bergendal agreed that we would not pay for Herrgarden hire…which is not compensation in any form because they admitted that they were never meant to rent this area out during July in the first place. Bergendal aims to make as much money as possible, understandable - they are a business of course. However they take this to the extreme, we wanted to serve a cake to feed 60 people even though our total guest count was 100 because we know that not everyone wants extra dessert at the end of the night so we did not want to waste food or money. It became a surprisingly difficult conversation with Hakan to convince him that we should therefore pay less for the cake serving fee (fee x 60 pers instead of fee x 100 pers), even though there is less time to serve the cake, less washing, less storage space etc). Eventually he agreed that we would pay a serving fee for 60 pers, but this was an exhausting exchange of emails which should not have been an issue in the first place. It is also worth noting that there are additional costs associated with everything you could imagine, storage space, electricity connection outside, moving furniture pre-event etc. We are aware that this is common with the wedding industry but we really felt that Bergendal only aimed to take advantage of the situation, in comparison our new venue does not charge for any of the above requests and has a cheaper hire cost overall. These are just a few bad experiences we have endured over the course of 9 months, we have so many more that we could write a book. It was extremely upsetting, stressful and disappointing to go through everything, especially when a wedding is not generally an easy thing to plan. We really expected a much better service from a venue which markets itself as more high-end (and prices itself accordingly). In the end, even though we were in love with the breathtaking scenery and beautiful Falkberget building, the staff relationship convinced us that this was the wrong place to have a wedding as we knew that we could not rely on them to provide our dream day. We believe that Bergendal is better suited to conferences/work events where you get a standardised package with no need for personal touches as overall we felt very let down by the lack of flexibility. We recommend that you think carefully about the type of wedding you would like to have if you choose Bergendal - for us, changing our venue to somewhere else was the best decision we ever made.

It's very remote and expensive. Gives very vintage feeling too
