Siliguri Greater Lions Eye Hospital undoubtedly excels in delivering exceptional eye care services. The combination of a well-trained and compassionate medical team, modern facilities, and a patient-centric approach makes it a standout choice for anyone seeking reliable eye care in the region. I highly recommend this hospital to those in need of eye-related services, and I am grateful for the positive experience I had during my visit.

A super specialty hospital providing holistic quality eye care services since 1981. The problem of avoidable blindness is rapidly escalating and have remained a major cause of concern in the Indian healthcare scenario especially in North Bengal. In a developing country the government alone cannot meet demands of the masses. Realizing this dearth need few socially driven conscious members of Lions Club of Siliguri Greater dreamt of a State-of-Art Eye Care Hospital and Institute to serve the people of North Eastern India, accessible equally from Eastern Nepal and Bhutan. Hence with the same vision Siliguri Greater Lions Eye Hospital was born in 1981 . For the past 35 years, the hospital is successfully continuing the journey & providing quality eye care services to millions. In partnership with the Government and notable civil societies Greater Lions have roared load in restoring eyesight of several blind and visually challenged people. We are proud to have become the Largest Eye Care Service Provider in North Bengal.

The behaviour of stuffs are really good. Every patient was treated very kindly. But I thik they should improve their call support. Today morning I was calling the counselor for asking some doubts but they dis not answered the call.

Excellent feature. I have completed cataract surgery of my mother under Doctor Arup Kumar Das. The doctor is very much interactive and listens to patients problem very carefully. The nursing staffs are also very supportive. They do support in each and every aspect. The working chain is very much easy to understand. The cost also very much pocket friendly. The cleanliness is awesome, washrooms are also very much clean. Thank you Lions Club for giving us that level of high class treatment in an affordable price.

Treatment and the doctors are found to be very cooperative and skilled ones especially Dr Chabbi kedia.i went with both the eyes and the operation were successful. As far as the admistrative officials are concerned they are not at all cooperative and found to be rude in behaviour

The hospital is great (without any doubt). Very cost efficient and the opthomologists are very experienced and polite who do actually cure their patients and advice them thoroughly. Although, the same can't be said about all the staffs working here. Some of them are very moody and harsh in their tone. Sometimes even scolding the patients for minor reasons. But, in general, most of the staffs are professional and polite. The only thing of my grave concern was the cleanliness of the patient wards. Most of the patients who opt to undergo any surgery or treatment here, I found out, were diabetic, who are at risk of infection post surgery. I myself asked the cleaning staff very politely to clean the area but to no avail. Also, I noticed the staffs (not all of them) working in general ward area in the top floor were generally loud and harsh with their tone. Mind you, the patients here are mostly elderly, and it was quite disheartening to see them being treated like this. But, sadly the choices are limited as this is the only hospital in the town with genuinely good doctors. I hope the concerned staffs develop some empathy and work ethics (of a hospital and not "sabji mandi") in the future, as they aren't the ones suffering, instead, they are here to guide the ones who are suffering and are paying to redeem from it. P. S. If only this small concern could be amended to some extent, the hospital deserves 5 stars and more, like their food (for patients) in cafeteria 5⭐👌

Infrastructure greatly improved, especially the waiting area. Now it's not so much compact and there are enough seats for everyone. One more good thing that there is centralised ac , so waiting is not so much troublesome. Nice experience

Worst experience ever, they don't respect your time. I don't think I can recommend this hospital at all. I don't see any reply options for your response so here it is, If that is the case then you guys are very bad in time management or hospital management and the reason is, You have called 67 years old patient at 9 AM sharpe and waited her almost 8 hrs and then operation happened and once we returned to our home she was critical, almost 10+ vomiting 🤢. That's why Im saying you guys are too poor to mange the timing. Work in it.

Staff and doctors are well behaved. But one lady name ADITI(counseling room, beside child department),her taunt is very rude. She doesn't know how to talk to anyone.

It is okay. But they have become more concerned with earning money rather than rendering quality service. Never let them handle your medical insurance by them alone. Insurance Co. means more to them than giving good advice to the patients and are not at all well acquainted with the different rules of the difference insurance Co.

It's Kuber Peter Subba 73/M from Gangtok. My little experience in this institute is as under. Siliguri Greater Lions Eye Hospital is a class of hospital to be praised. All the staff members right from Security Guards to attendants, technicians,Nurses, and Doctors are praise worthy, very co operative, meek and humble, always ready to guide and help. One Councillor Ms Sunita is one of the most coperative, helpful and proper guide. Doctors are really mild, meek and humble, soft spoken with valuable information n guidence. Very prompt in diagnosis and champion, very expert, prompt operator. Hospital is clean and well maintained. I was allergic to tropicanamide drop but their vast experience and good knowledge my left eye was operated on 26.3.22 by Dr. Q M N Alam and his team successfully. Review done on 1.4.22 and given glasses too. Now I am okay and will operate right eye in near future without fear. God Bless.
