We've recently spent 11 nights at the hotel and we recommend it to everyone, especially those seeking peace and escape from the hustle and bustle. I rate the hotel standard as exceeding 4**** in accordance with European standards. Our room was quiet and spacious and very well equipped. The owner of the hotel is a private investor (not a hotel chain), thanks to which you can feel a friendly, family atmosphere in The One Resort and special care for guests. Particularly noteworthy is the large and deep swimming pool (up to 3m) with a dedicated cocktail bar and the hotel's beach with sunbeds and umbrellas. Safety is also a great advantage of the hotel (the facility is fenced off and monitored). All meals (both breakfast and dinner) were of a very high standard, had an international character, and were prepared by an European chef. Each time we had a choice of 5-7 dishes that were rarely repeated, and on selected days they were connected by a theme, e.g. a day with Italian cuisine. The entire hotel staff was extremely helpful, positive and professional. Every day, additional activities were organized, such as: morning yoga, beach volleyball or badminton, pool aerobics or evening performances by local artists. With the support of the hotel, we have also made many trips around the island, which we recommend to everyone who would like to get to know Zanzibar better and experience its beauty. :)

The best place in Zanzibar! Best food, buildings and rooms and most friendly and polite staff! The polish architect owner that designed the place was sociable too and told us the story of the place. All the facilities within the resort were awesome, especially the pool (clean, warm and big) and the restaurant (outside with fans to chill and enough tables for everyone; food (brought mostly from Europe) served fast and insanely good! As the resort was away from the city, there was little circulation and therefore no traffic or noisy people, only nice sunsets and sunrises. It took about 1:30 hour to get at the hotel from the airport; the transport was fast and comfy :) Talking about the rooms, they were really nice as they were built only with quality materials brought from Europe and the aspect was of a village house, but comfortable and cool! With Air Conditioner and clean and big bathroom. Unfortunately, I was in Zanzibar in the rainy season (May to July), so the rain was falling almost half a day, but there were some days when it was sunny and hot! Poor cleaning staff had to wipe the glass rails and windows daily, but they looked very good. Anyway, the staff was treated really good by the other administrators or managers, all from Europe. Please ask/message me for anymore information you need, because I really want to promote this great resort. The WIFI worked great, but i had to use a code received from the reception when checked in, which expired every 7 days. The village nearby was silent and nice. !BEST IN ZANZIBAR!

We had the best stay of our lives at The One Resort Zanzibar. As soon as you arrive you are treated like a king/queen with a cocktail and wet towels. Very smiling, warm and welcoming staff! Not only is the room cleaned every day, but every evening the housekeeper comes to install the mosquito net and apply mosquito repellent. The view from the rooms over the pool and the sea is breathtaking. At night, from the roof of the hotel, you can see the Milky Way as you've never seen it before. The pools are very large and never crowded, so you can enjoy a drink at the main pool bar. In the mornings, there are activities such as aqua-gym, badminton... The sea is right next door, and in the mornings it's low tide, so you can see little sea creatures such as starfish and sea urchins! In the afternoon, the water rises completely. Next to the pool there's a small beauty center offering ALL kinds of services (nails, eyelashes, hairdressing, massage, waxing, and other specific requests)! The food is very good, every night I ate for four people haha I couldn't stop, and the chef's dishes are excellent (especially the risotto). During dinner you'll have a different show every night that will make even the shyest of you want to dance, as the atmosphere is very friendly and everyone joins in the fun. We were very sad to leave this little paradise and what made our trip to Zanzibar even better was the entire hotel team, who were wonderful with us from the beginning to the last minute spent in their company. Thank you to the whole team, we will miss you! Abdallah, Charles, Tumaini, Rama, Melao and Killian at the reception until the end of the night, always there to welcome you if you have a need; Casper, Baracka, Abou, Steven, Ali and Francesca at the restaurant, Baracka with whom we chatted for hours at the bar telling each other about our lives haha and Steven with his amazing dishes every night ; Olga and Elizabeth at the Beauty Spa, very smiling, warm and adorable; Yohan, Paulo and Willy, our favorite Maasai with whom we had a lot of fun, super nice and they jump super high too! Abdullah or Doula for the entertainment, at the restaurant in the evening or in the pool in the morning, always full of energy and a great motivator to do a bit of sport haha; Juma our taxi with whom we shared our first impressions as soon as we arrived in Zanzibar; and all the others I've forgotten their names 😭 THE ONE IS NUMBER ONE ☝🏻NAKUPENDA THE ONE Eden, Maurice, Lea ❤️

I very nice accommodation in the south-east part of Sansibar. Wonderful beach, very good breakfast and dinner, both in buffet form (Polish Cook). The staff is very friendly and helpful. The check in must be improved.

The hotel in Zanzibar is absolutely gorgeous! From the stunning ocean views to the luxurious rooms and fantastic service, everything about it is simply delightful. It will certainly meet your expectations in every way, and most importantly, it will provide you with an unforgettable holiday. The staff is very professional, polite and always ready to help in any situation (Tumani, Filip). The rooms are comfortable, spacious and beautifully decorated, so you will feel like in real luxury. You certainly won't have any reason to complain about the food. The restaurants offer delicious dishes, both local and international, all served with a smile by friendly staff (Franceska, Jacob). It's heaven on earth, I chose this hotel and I will come back here for sure.

It was a great stay in The One Resort. Friendly and quite lovely staff. The rooms are well designed and quite clean. The restaurant has an authentic design and has a variety of delicious cuisines. The private beach as well as the pool are super. In addition, the hotel has a bunch of events daily and cool trips. Thank you very much The One for having us.

A wonderful resort. Staff friendly. The rooms were great. Comfy beds, nice view. They have breakfast and dinner buffet. The good was ok. The pool is huge and nice. Low tide most days at the beach.

Me and my mother enjoyed the most warm atmosphere at the hotel. And I am not saying about the weather (which was very nice), but people and stuff. Intimate amount of guests made us feel like in home. And stuff made us feel like among the family. The quality of everything was very high and hotel offered many additional activities.

Rooms and facilities are very nice. Although it smelled all the time weird at the Toilettroom. Massages very good. However, there is loud music everywhere all the time (seems to be a thing in Zanzibar) Very loud music at the pool, at breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant. Difficult to understand each other during conversations. In the evening mostly entertainment program. Food Buffet average, a la carte food is much better. Service was average. Communication was very difficult. Unfortunately we were often not understood, some of the staff didn't speak English well, didn't or didn't want to understand us. Except for 1-2 waiters and the lady at reception, who did their job very well. In addition, the manager/owners must have invited their friends. They always had party at the pool from noon, accompanied by 2 drones over the pool, not very relaxing moments. Unfortunately, there were no yoga classes as promoted on the website, which was a shame because that was one of the reasons for booking this hotel. Don´t know where the Ranking of 4.9 is coming from, don´t agree.

Spent 4 days with my GF and it was exactly what we wanted. Quiet resort, beautiful hotel with a great pool and views. The beach is stunning but the tide is so low you need to walk for about half a mile to get into relatively deep water to swim. Entertainment is nice with performers every night at meal time. Acrobats, dancers and musicians. All excellent. The food is good. There isn't a massive selection but every night has a slightly different theme and you will definitely go for seconds. There isn't much outside the hotel grounds though so exploring isn't really an option. Price of drinks are reasonable, $4 for a coffee and $7 for a beer. Recommend this place for a relaxing holiday with a partner but not enough happening for kids.

A hotel of a very high standard, both in terms of rooms, service, infrastructure, as well as food and attractions. Located by the beach. It is very clean and comfortable. Service very friendly and willing to help. Very good cuisine and a large swimming pool with a pool bar serving good drinks and beverages. Importantly, the service is very reliable when it comes to settlements, which is an exception in Zanzibar (I was in another hotel where they tried to cheat me notoriously). I definitely recommend the hotel to both young people and those with children (the hotel staff organizes their time very well, so that parents have more time for themselves).

Super hotel, the best in all of Zanzibar. Exemplary service, you can feel very safe and special here. Huge pool with a bar and a wide range of drinks. Very clean facility, luxurious rooms and very tasty food prepared from fresh ingredients. Whatever a guest needs, the hotel tries to meet and help as best it can. Interesting themed animations, guests are greeted daily at the pool with fresh fruit. I recommend it very much!

I had a wonderful stay. Lovely spacious rooms. Food was great with amazing fresh fruit. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. I travelled to attend a dance holiday event and the hotel team worked endlessly to support the event. Thank you. Plenty of personal space around the lovely pools and on the beach made it perfect for relaxing

We had a great EXPERIENCE here. It wasn't just a stay at a hotel, it was an experience from sun up to sun down. The rooms were clean and spacious and had a luxury feel but wasn't over the top. The 3 pools were beautiful and so inviting. Our child enjoyed the floaties and toys that were provided. One pool was shallower and designed more for kids. The food was superb. It's hard to find good food in Tanzania and their food was excellent. Different themes each night kept things fresh. The Desserts were the highlights though. My compliments to the chef! The highlight of our days was the shows after dinner. Each night they had something new. It was very entertaining but also brought in African culture right to your doorstep. We also enjoyed different optional activities during the day. It gave us something to do to break up the sitting by the pool time. The beach was very nice and quiet. They take the seaweed off in the morning so it's got the nice white sand beach feel. We did some snorkeling off the beach there and were able to see some different fish not far from shore. Our crew loved our stay here and would highly recommend The One Resort. You can't beat the price for the amount of food, service, quiet, and experience you get.

Overall the stay was memorable except for housekeeping, which definitely needs fine tuning. Vincent was super helpful at the restaurant ensuring the dietary requirements were taken care of. Amazing location and view will definitely go back there soon.

It’s a beautiful, new and well decorated hotel in the south of Zanzibar. Rooms are big and clean. The food is for most people good. For me.. it was okay. Sometimes they had a theme, but it wasn’t superior. The food has an European twist. So compared to the local kitchen, it was a lot what we knew. The pool is amazing. The view from the room was top notch. The employees are friendly. So why four stars? There is NOTHING near the hotel. No supermarkt, nothing. So u are completely dependent of the hotel. Bottle water $3. Food during lunch is expensive! $16 for a main dish. There was one employee who tries to sell us things the whole time. During dinner: I’m bringing a Klimanjaro beer for you, all right? I’m like.. I don’t drink beer. The cross sell was more important, than to feel comfortable. The beach is bad. You can’t swim over there. I miss a gym in a hotel like this. That would complete the luxury of this place.

I recently had a celebration at The One Resort and I’m out of words to thank the staff and crew who didn’t give me a chance of complaint and put in enormous efforts to make it a memorable one not only for me but for our guests too. Not a single complaint from the 76 guests who attended. From the booking to the candle on the cake everything was looked after into detail by the management. A big thank you to Mr. Peter, Paulina, Agata, Agneta, Karolina, , Ewelina and the whole team! It’s a beautiful, clean and very friendly property. The rooms are beautiful, clean, spacious and very convenient! Their animation team is great! They kept everyone involved with their friendly approach. The food was delicious with a great spread. The chef always made it a point to check on everything personally. I look forward to many more such celebrations and shall definitely go their over and over again! Asanteni Sana!
