Beautiful place to stay. Small but definitely homey. Complimentary wine and breakfast. Room was clean and had a his and hers bathroom. I would definitely come back.

While this would have been a nice stay there are a couple of things to note when staying at this location. PLEASE READ. TLDR: Request a room FAR AWAY from the elevator, stairwell, and main street, on the first or second floor. You WILL NOT get a good sleep otherwise. All of the door latches are very loud because the doors to the rooms are not insulated from sound at all. Also on weekends this problem is compounded with more foot/car traffic. First the good: The service was great! Please thank the new girl at the front desk. She was excellent! Complimentary drinks and breakfast was excellent as well! The tub with the whirlpool jets is an added bonus too. The room was a great size and very clean. This would be a great location for wedding parties, ect. The Mediocre: The beds and pillows are standard, nothing special. We brought our own pillows and would do so again. The bedding was clean, though. Additionally, we are hot sleepers and usually keep the temperature around 67 at night. The temperature will not go below 70. Especially on the third floor. The Bad: Please read this (management and perspective customers) as we had no idea before placing our reservation. First the doors all slam shut and the sounds echoes into the rooms and the stairwell. We stayed in a room right by the stairwell and because the elevator was not working everyone had to use the steps and so the only period of silence we got was from 2am-6am. We tried to use a white noise speaker we brought but the door slams all echoed into the halls. Second, the room we had was also right next to the main street and we could hear every loud engine that passed by since the walls are very thin and echoes any sound. For management: Please solve the doors slamming shut. I would suggest better doors that are more insulated with latches that are not so loud! Earplugs are a band aid, not a solution. You have a real gem here, treat it like one! If this is solved I will gladly update my review in the future.

Stayed here to attend the Halloween party at the castle, and it was nothing short of wonderful. The room was very clean with a nice and private patio. Customer service was very welcoming and attentive. The hot breakfast buffet was amazing! This will be our go-to place to stay every year.

Rooms were nice with antiques furniture so it was quaint. Room was quiet so easy to sleep and bed was comfy. Workers are very nice. Ice machines would have been helpful over asking reception all the time. Better selection at Grey's Restaurant would be nice and add some actual cheese to the burgers. Not everyone is into spicy food and southern food so choices were limited.

Wonderful place and experience in the heart of downtown High Point. I won't stay any place else. The rooms are great (but can be noisy unless the AC is running) and roomy. The upper floors have a balcony with a table and chairs. Convenient to anything. Sweet Old Bills restaurant just up the road is terrific.

Really enjoyed this property. Very comfortable, clean, and staff (Bethany) went above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. Would give it five stars but I thought the breakfast had room for improvement.

My husband left a review a week ago for our wedding, but I also wanted to specially commend Amanda. We didn't have a wedding planner, but that wasn't a problem as she assisted and supported every step of the way through our wedding planning process, and was always responsive via email to answer all our questions and help us plan our dream wedding! She is incredible, and Derek and her make an incredible team. If you're looking for an all-inclusive venue and to not be nickle and dimed for food, cutlery, chairs, tables, etc.- look no further than the JH Addams Inn. Much love to both Amanda and Derek on their new journey soon as first time parents!!

My absolute favorite "hide away"! We love it here! Especially the hot tub rooms! Very nice date night type thing! I usually go every year for my birthday but have missed the last couple after having my baby girl! But will Definitely be back soon!

We got married at the JH Adams Inn in October and I cannot say enough great things about this place. Amanda and Derek were fantastic, able to accommodate all of our needs and made the process run so smoothly. In our search for venues, it was nearly impossible to find a similar place in terms of what all JH Adams includes. At a fair price, you get tables, chairs, cloths, silverware, etc. included in the price. Many venues we looked at either required you to rent your own XYZ or charged extra fees for them. The food was incredible as well, and the staff were spectacular. Everyone loved their rooms too, it's a really nice hotel. If you're looking to get married at an affordable price for a great deal of quality, don't bother looking elsewhere. Trust me, very few places we searched came even close in our decision making process. Well done to everyone involved here!

Wonderful place to call home anytime I am in the High Point or Greensboro area. The accommodations are lovely and feel like home. The hospitality is five star all the way!

Very clean place, but don't bother trying to use the amenities they offer. They will most likely book a wedding that closes the restaurant and bar down during your stay and not even mention it to you.

This is our first stay at JH Adams Inn and we’d stay again. The service at the front desk and the restaurant was great. The hotel is small but nice. It’s more roomy inside than the outside appears. We liked our room, but the bed did sink to the middle. However, we both still slept well. Sitting on the porch was relaxing with the breeze blowing, but you can hear a lot of cars driving by because of the location.

The place and the staff are really nice. The walls are paper thin, so dont plan on getting a good night's sleep. Otherwise, an amazing little place.

Excellent! I had the chicken with greens beans and mash. The chef came to our table and introduced herself, she was extremely informative and pleasant. I would highly recommend! :) A+

I stayed for a wedding and stayed in the Blakely Suite due the bride changing plans (we had originally had a normal room in the other part of the hotel booked.) This was a shared room and the other couple that was staying with us was able to check in earlier (we had no idea this was a possibility) and got to pick the bigger room. My husband and I got stuck with the WAYYYY smaller room which was super disappointing. I have no problem with a smaller room but in comparison to the other half the suite, it’s way overpriced. I was able to see the other rooms in the main house of the hotel during the wedding weekend and they were all way more spacious and more luxurious. I feel like this hotel has way more potential but definitely needs some serious upgrades; the Blakely suite in particular. We had barely enough room for 2 people and there wasn’t even a fan to keep some air flow moving. The staff was all wonderful, but definitely think the hotel needs some upgrades for the cost. There also was a weird sulfur smell in the hotel room that didn’t seem to go away during our 2-night stay. I’m hoping for a way better experience for the next stay I have at this hotel. I would just avoid the Blakely Suite.

Suite was excellent! Complimentary wine, breakfast... all above board! Staff was so nice and helpful! A surprisingly wonderful find in High Point, NC! Will definitely stay again!

Room 33 is next to the elevator and there is no sound dampening. The table in my room is busted and propped up against the wall. The shower sprays water everywhere except down. The TV is a postage stamp. Rooms are not inexpensive. $1,000 for 4 nights so I would expect better. Restaurant has spotty, odd service and ignored me for 20 minutes until I just left and went to another place down the road. This was a disappointing stay. I stay in High Point a lot for work but I won’t be staying here next time.

The staff made us feel like we were royalty! The room was excellent and had plenty of space. The complimentary breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes was delicious. The bartender Jay and his father, "Coach" were an added Bonus during cocktails. They bring ice directly to the room! 👍👍

Beautiful room! Clean, full breakfast, bar and restaurant. Comfy bed, large shower and bath. Quiet from other guests, definitely traffic noise but they provide a sound machine! Ended up here for work travel, other hotels will be a disappointment now. Lots of cords and fragile stuff so maybe not with little kids, lol. But our toddler loved the large room to run back and forth so it worked out.

Staff are very hospitable. The building, facilities and amenities are very nice. The furniture and finishes throughout are worth the trip alone. Our bedroom and bath are huge! 6 stars!

Great boutique hotel in downtown High Point NC. Each room is large, well appointed and unique. Delicious breakfast included. The restaurant and bar is open evenings and the food was good. Try the cheese board appetizer. This is definitely our go to place when in this area.

Was only able to stay here one night (sadly) and it was amazing. I was in town for an event at the country club and check in was fast and pleasurable. Both the young man and young lady at the desk were nice and the young woman actually went to her car to get me a charger I could use because I forgot mine! Clean, upscale, and affordable. Also they had a great Breakfast which was included--hadn't known about this!

Calling all Brides and Grooms!! If you're looking for a wedding venue look no further. We booked the JH Adams Inn for our October wedding and I couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out! Amanda and Derek were amazing and so accommodating, making sure everything was taken care of from start to finish. They put us at ease and were constantly making sure me and my now-husband had everything we needed and that everything was how we wanted it. I am a very detailed oriented, type-A person so trust me when I say they were amazing. The in-house restaurant Christina Grey's was amazing and very accommodating to members of our wedding party that were vegan. We heard nothing but great things from our guests about how bomb the food was :) The rooms were very clean and well taken care of. My mother-in-law rented their Elizabeth house next door and was over the moon with how clean it was and how convenient it was to the venue. We even used the bottom floor of the house for our rehearsal dinner and it was lovely! The place is beautiful, the staff really care and do everything in their power to make your event wonderful, the rooms are great and super clean, and we cannot sing their praises enough! Whether you are throwing a 100 person wedding, or just staying the weekend, we recommend the JH Adams Inn. Thank you again for everything, The Bullards

I contacted the Inn on 01/29 as we were interested in booking the venue for our wedding this fall. I did receive a response on 02/01 however no further communication has been provided. After sending several follow up emails I did not receive a response, on Monday I called the Inn and spoke to the receptionist. I was assured the coordinator or manager would be in touch with me. I provided my name, number, and email. As of today I have not received any communication. We have now moved on and have appointments booked to view other venues. Those venues all responded in a timely manner as well as were able to schedule visits within a few days notice. In the future please have a better procedure in place to ensure that potential customers receive a higher level of service.
