They have a limited menu but wherever they offer is really good. Kulchas has a very generous fillings and the butter pieces makes it more yummy. Do try from this place.

#Amritsar- On our very 1st leg of travel amongst many beings with our journey to the legendary kulcha joint where me and my son stopped for #breakfast. Had the very basic alu kulcha and then tried the paneer which was even more awesome and the pickled onions and carrot pickle was outstanding. Recommendation- Try all the parathas here and don't forget to have the lassi

Very famous place to have Amritsari Kulchas. As famous they are, we definitely weren't disappointed. We tried Aloo Kulcha & Pithi Kulcha. Perfectly cooked, appropriate filling & topped with Butter. Pithi means Coriander seeds, if I'm not wrong. There was good flavour of coriander seeds in Pithi Kulcha. Loaded butter added to the taste & goes so well with the crunch. Served with Chole & salad. Sides are quite delicious as well. Altho the management could have been much better. Considering the crowd, they can provide better service if they manage to take & serve orders in an organised way. It does take little extra time to get served coz too much crowd. Sitting area is very limited. A must visit for breakfast!

This place is always super crowded but the order delivery is super fast! It’s in very close proximity to the Golden Temple and serves some lip smacking Chole Kulche and Lassi 😋 We ordered Aloo Kulcha which comes with standard Chole, Pickle and Curd which it tasted super yum 🤤 Definitely one of the best Kulchas in Amritsar 🌟💗

Best place for Breakfast at Amritsar and it's very close to Golden temple. They are known for Chola Kulchas. The place is very affordable and am attaching a picture from their menu. I tried their mixed kulcha and it was awesome. I reached at around 8:20 AM and the place was already full & rightfully so. The taste was the out of the world and the thick layer of butter adds to the existing taste. The only issue was that they are cash-only joints and luckily I had a 100 rupee note somewhere else don't know - how I would have managed :)

Ordered mix kulcha for 5 people. I must say kulche was very tasty and must try if anyone want to try an authentic taste of Amritsar. Service was very fast but you have to wait for 20 minutes for your turn as it is the oldest shop of kulcha in Amritsar. Amazing kulchas . Crisp and even crust . Soft filling inside . Sure you can’t get these anywhere else in any other city . The chutney is delicious with onions and carrots. Only issue you don’t get a proper sitting but it’s Fine .

Bhai Kulwant Singh Kulcha wale is one of the oldest food places in all of amritsar. Situated near the Ghantaghar of Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) Amritsar. They have been selling Kulchas for generations now and they Maintain quality and consistency. Their place is quite crowded in morning hours especially from 9-1 but even then they try to serve at an incredible pace. It's a must place for food lovers and bloggers.

Bhai Kulwant Singh is quite a famous shop in Amritsar for their Kulchas. The original one is quite bigger but situated in a lane inside which confused me and I visited the one situated in main square just outside the Golden Temple. But nonetheless I really liked the Kulchas here. Especially the onion salad chutney and chhole made the overall dish. Cost - 100 bucks for Paneer Kulcha

Best way to start your day. The place is unassuming but one of the finest breakfasts in the city. Possibly THE finest in the city. Been going here for as long as I remember at least 15 years. My breakfast everyday when in Amritsar has to happen here. Period!

One of the places in Amritsar which is very underrated. One of the best places to go for breakfast and lunch . This place serves chole kulcha and believe me they are one of the best I tried in Amritsar . We tried their paneer kulcha and allo kulcha and both were really good especially the aloo oone . The chole was very tasty and delicious . The cherry on the cake was their chutney which I really liked very much. The only thing to remember is they accept only cash so carry cash and don't rely on any online mode of payment. Also this place is closed in the evenings to visit here in the morning afternoon itself. Also do their lassi which was very heavy and and tasteful

This is famous kulcha in amritsar. I ate 2 times there. I tried all varieties of kulcha. The taste is amazing. The taste of mix, paneer, aloo, gobhi kulcha is really good. The pithi kucha is good but not in my taste. And the lassi( sweet) is awesome. There is little problem there- there are a lot of customers in morning and the shop is small but he can manage all the things . Actually bhai kulwant singh kulcha has 2 shops there . One on near to main road. And one is beside in street. Rate is also normal - Aloo kulcha- rs.50 Paneer kulcha- rs. 70 Mix kulcha- rs. 70 Lassi- rs. 40

Have heard so much about this place so decided to visit when I was in Amritsar. It is located near the golden temple and the space is not that congested with proper seating arrangements. It was fully packed as we went during the rush hours, had to wait for 10 to 15 minutes. We have ordered aloo kulcha and mixed kulcha, both were amazing in taste and with a proper crisp. Mixed kulcha is highly recommended which is a mixture of aloo, paneer, cabbage and onions. They serve the kulchas with chole, achar, khatti-meethi chutney and salad. The good part is that being so popular in the town their rates are very affordable plus the staff members are very kind, the service was good too.

The aloo kulcha and chole tasted good. Lassi was okay. The place gets crowded during lunch time, tissue papers flying all over due to the giant noisy fans. Don't make the mistake of looking at the floor. Make sure you check the notes given to you by the cashier as change - you might get a completely torn note and only realise it much later and then struggle to put it to use anywhere.

Best kulcha I had in Amritsar. This place is very close to the golden temple. The service was pretty quick and the taste was unforgettable. Try aloo kulcha.

This was a nice place after searching so many kulchas this was in a good location and also famous. The mix kulcha was better than the aloo kulcha. Also get the lassi along with it.

All the kulchas are good but paneer kulcha is the best, hands down. Very generously stuffed. Soft. With a big chunk of butter on top. All kulchas are severed with Chole and Chutney, personal favourite is Alva chutney but it is seasonal (you’ll get it in winters only). Seating area is not that good but it’s fine for a small restaurant. A MUST TRY.

Basic Kulchas. Not that tasty. We ordered Aaloo Kulcha and Gobhi Kulcha and the taste of the food was okay. We ordered one sweet lassi as well. Quite a small shop in the streets of Amritsar. Very near to Golden Temple. Overall experience is 2 out of 5.

Has been my ONLY go to place in Amritsar since 3 decades. Have loved the Kulchas, Chane and pyaaz chutney to the core. Have eaten from several other eateries too but this one is my favorite.

Great taste. A must go for all kulcha lovers if in Amritsar. The only thing which i would like to highlight is the use of coriander seeds. I felt its over used in kulcha, but then again it depends upon person to person. Overall the taste is very good and waiters are very respectful and quick in service.

Nestled in the heart of the city, the Old Restaurant is a hidden gem that has been serving its loyal patrons for several decades. Known for its exclusive focus on kulcha, this quaint eatery has stood the test of time, consistently delivering flavors that transport diners to a bygone era. The menu, although simple, showcased an impressive range of kulcha varieties that catered to every taste bud. From the classic plain kulcha to stuffed options like potato, paneer, and onion, each dish was crafted with utmost care and attention to detail. The kulchas were perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, offering a delightful contrast of textures. The only aspect that slightly detracted from the experience was the limited seating capacity, which often resulted in longer wait times during peak hours. However, the waiting was well worth it once the kulchas arrived at the table, piping hot and bursting with flavor. In terms of affordability, the Old Restaurant offered excellent value for money. The prices were reasonable, considering the quality and authenticity of the dishes served. Each bite felt like a journey through time, an opportunity to savor the traditional flavors that have captivated generations.

Totally an overrated place. Ofcourse heard a lot about it that you must try its kulcha if you go to Amritsar. After few minutes of waiting I finally got a shared table and we ordered - mix gobhi and paneer kulcha. Paneer kulcha was okay, still barable. No taste in chhole tastes boiled. Don't waste your time here. Try kulcha land. Overall a worse experience from my side.

The one and only special amritsari kulche at Kulwant singh kulche wale. I tried Aloo kulcha , Paneer kulcha and Gobhi kulcha all are Very tastey and very crispy loaded with good amount of stuffing and butter. And last but not the least special lassi is the show stopper.

Different varieties of amritsari kulcha are available here. We had aaloo, pitti, mix kulcha along with lassi. The kulchas were soft, hot & delicious. Served with chhole, onions & butter. A must have when in Amritsar. Reasonably priced and located near the golden temple. Crowded place but service is fast.

This is a decades-old kulcha place near Golden Temple serving delicious Kulchas. The old shop is right on the main road with very limited seating and the newer one is at a 2-mins walk in the lane with a bigger seating capacity. The lassi here wasn't very great but you must surely visit for the Kulchas.

Best Kulcha ever! I have been coming here since I was a kid. The taste and quality have been maintained over so many years. Great preparation!

Kulcha is amazing here! We tried Aloo, paneer and gobi. The gobi was hands down the best one 😀 it was super soft and yummy! 🤤 it’s a small stall not good ambience but a perfect spot for excellent street food Kulchas. Would definitely recommend it 👍

The best (authentic) kulchas in Amritsar ! A no nonsense no frills menu. They are open from 8am to 4pm. Best time to visit is for breakfast. It gets very crowded later in the day.

  • 4/5 Preeti G. 2 years ago on Google
The kulcha’s at this place were good but I didn’t like the chole that much. We ordered their paneer, aloo and pitthi kulcha’s and they all taste delicious. They don’t have a lot of options in their menu. Price wise we paid Rs 85 and above for a single kulcha plate.
