Worth visiting Pehelwan Kulcha, Small shop, owner n staff behavior was very polite . Super tasty kulcha 5/5 .Cut 1 star in rating becoz of waiting and space (Sitting and Parking) if you don't want to wait go before 9am ☺️ Shop timing is 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

When in Amritsar , how can one miss the Amritsari Kulcha :) . . We tried the Mix kulcha (medium spicy) at this place ! My word this was heaven ! This was lip smacking and delicious ! The hype around Amritsari Kulcha is so real ! Totally worth this place ! . . Sometimes it’s better not to have options to choose ! This is just like that ! You get to have just two things - Medium Spicy Mix Kulcha or Spicy ! This was one of the most delicious breakfasts for sure:) . . Price - Rs 80 for one but totally worth it as you’ll not feel hungry for the next 7-8hours 😅

Punjab da Desi ghee parantha/kulcha! Not to be missed ...even writing about it making me watery :)This shop is one of the oldest and delivers the best..most of the times there is a queue..wait time is 20-35 mins .seating arrangement is primitive and drinks options are limited to colas.Paranthas are awesume and served with chatni. Each will cost ~ 80Rs..would recommend to visit here in battery auto to avoid parking hassle .I got to meet the owner ( he is in photo) humble guy ! Chak de phatte ! Nap de kille !!!

The best Kulchas in Amritsar by far. Do not go anywhere else. These guys are living right upto the hype. Amazing taste. Kulchas like nowhere else. Totally amazing. Don't go for the ambience, luxury this that... Just go for the food it's totally worth it. Don't go to Brothers, Kulcha land and all... Just go here for trying the best Amritsari kulchasa. Also: they go out if stock by 2Pm. Do not go later than that. 5 star for the food.

We had our breakfast at Pehelwan Kulcha, they only serve kulcha in the shop and they ask you if you want a spicy kulcha or a normal one. We had their kulcha (spicy), and the taste was amazing. It is one of the best kulchas we had in Amritsar. On the outside the kulcha is extremely crispy and it loaded with desi ghee. The cholle served with the kulcha are not spicy and the onion chutney is tangy in taste. The staff at the place is friendly and the service is quick. Even after so many people sitting in the shop to eat they took maximum 7-8 minutes to give us our order. It's a must try in Amritsar, one of the best!

Delicious bread made from a clay oven and served with chickpea curry and onion salsa. You can choose standard bread or chilli topping for the bread, we chose chilli and it was very tasty. The place is filled with locals, is kept clean and the staff are very friendly. Would definitely recommend if in Amritsar. We paid 180 rupiah for 2 people.

Pehelwan Kulcha - The best Kulcha i had in the city, and it was worth the hype. Waiting time is too long, you'll have to atleast for 15 mins to get a table, and then around 15 mins more for food to be served. They have maintained a legacy, and give you options for medium spiced, or spiced Kulchas. I loved the place for sure. It will definitely be on my list the next time i visit Amritsar again.

Beware of simmilar named kulcha restaurant opened next to it. This one is orignal. First time had an amazing Kulcha wasn't too heavy to get hangover of it. Light and amazing. Spicy isn't too spicy but a very light paced chillies. They charge 70 RS for the Kulcha either of light medium or no spice kulcha.

Average over hyped place to eat kulcha, no wow factor, ok taste, chole smell like it having Egg yolks mixed in it. I leave the chole and it’s extra tangy chatni/onion. Seating was more pathetic, hot, old, dirty, congested seating having four tables. Fun part is the price they charge like 4 star restaurants. 100 rs. For one Kulcha. Paid promotions, social media influencers and YouTubers make this place over hyped. Nothing special

Pehalwan Kulcha A timeless gem! Their kulchas are like fluffy clouds with a crispy exterior. The golden-brown kulchas, generously infused with desi ghee, redefine indulgence. The flavors dance in your mouth, telling tales of Punjab tradition. Each bite feels like a warm hug from culinary history. A must-visit for a taste of tradition's strength and deliciousness!😋😋

They have only two options normal kulcha and spicy kulcha which is a bright side as you don't have to think what to order. Kulcha is tasty but their chhola served along with Kulcha also tasted very good. Mint chutney and pyaz combo was very tasty vey different flavor. The only downside is Kulcha size is very small compared to price 80rs. Its a bit hot inside the shop(not restaurant) I would certainly recommend to try it once if in Amritsar.

One has to wait for their turn in line for like 20-30 minutes but worth it. The Kulchas are just sublime & totally worth the hype. They serve simple dish with utmost dignity & principles. You have to wait in line patiently that's the only catch. Don't judge them by their shop's appearance because the food is simple & genuine. Recommended

The kulchas are very tasty but the sitting space is very poor. The sitting of the customer is not at all taken care of. There are 3 types of kulcha and chole is given along and very pocket friendly.

The kulchas were really tasty! On entering, you are asked for your preference of spice in the kulcha. They serve the kulcha along with onion, chutney and chane. The management in the small space is really good

The have one of the most authentic kulcha in amritsar also one of the oldest. . . Great flavors One kulcha can cost you 70/- Rs. (1-2 kulcha is enough for a person) (i felt it to be little expensive as i get 2 kulcha in just 30/- Rs in delhi) The taste and flavors of this kulcha is all to new level.

Best Kulcha Shop in Amritsar. This is very old look Kulcha Shop. You will get varities of Kulcha their like mix, paneer etc. and trust me each type of Kulcha is having different taste and worth the try. The quality, crispness and taste of Kulcha is unbelievable, your stomach will be full by eating only one Kulcha. Staff is courteous and service is also good. If you are in Amritsar, please visit this Shop and try Amritsar famous kulcha.

Well Phelwan Kulcha offers the long standing tradition of making Kulcha with no frills and keeping them light, comparatively less buttery like most other places in Amritsar. The simplicity of the taste, place and people is what keeps this a little closer to the heart, keeping you connected to the roots and culture. Though the offering is in just one flavour, i.e. mix Kulcha, it would not disappoint people craving for variety. On speaking, the owner clarified that they maintain kulcha mixture with gobhi across the year at times getting it from as far as Ladakh and Zanskar to bring the Phelwan taste. For anyone and everyone visiting Amritsar, do take the walk down to Phelwan (a 15 min walk) and thou shall come back again and again. More so the walk connects you to the of life in the city, the grain market, the lanes, bylanes, the wholesale shops selling fresh mustard oil, wardiyan, papad, Pindi chana away from the touristy shops. nH Sept 2022

I find this place a little overhyped by the so called bloggers, as you find some other places that serve good kulchas in the market. And without any doubt the kulchas are really tasty but I find it little overpriced .

It’s very old shop , nice food They serve mix kulcha and paneer kulcha but paneer kulcha will take time to get prepared other one will be quick , I went on weekday it was normal rush and I don’t need to wait , they greed to very well and nicely. You need to go in morning and before 2pm As it’s old shop so sitting are normal like old restaurants but they manage nicely.

If you want to taste authentic kulcha and love it then you should come to this place. This might not be that hygienic but the taste is surreal and sabji that comes with the Kulcha is amazing. The staffs are also good in behaviour and overall I loved it. It located near Ramgarhia Gate near Gurudwara.

Amazing kulchas! The filling with aloo and gobhi and some cracked Dhaniya gave a very unique taste. The kulchas were hot, flaky, crispy and really well made. The chole was low key on spice and flavour which kept the spotlight properly on the dynamite kulchas!

This place is crazy. No AC no separate tables. You share tables with strangers but then you start the conversation over amazing mouthwatering ghee dripping Kulchas. We had both Mirchi and simple and both were deliciousssss.🤤

Most crispy most delicious kulcha I've ever had in my life . Càme last then had for first time . Came this year and again went to have kulcha

Go there as early as possible because they are crowded and you have to wait in queue to enjoy these yummy kulcha. If u want spot them just go through Ramgariya gatte near Shaaheda sahib. Kulchas are Simple and authentic Amritsari flavour. Not too spicy or masala. Just pure simple food from Amritsar. Recommended

The place is operational since 1953 and serves authentic and delicious Amritsari Kulchas. Their kulchas were super crispy, flaky and buttery. It went very well with the chhole they provided. If you plan to visit this place for lunch, make sure you visit before 1 or so as they close the shop by 2 and sometimes stock runs out by 1.30 only.

The spicy kulcha is not very spicy, you can definitely try that. This place is apt for breakfast. You will have to wait here so keep buffer time. But it is worth the wait. Service is very quick.

Bro... What a Kulchas... Absolutely loved it, but this place is very popular and thus crowded and u might have to wait for your good while smelling absolutely amazing flavours of the Kulche Chole being made right in front of you. And please do try their chutney as well it adds extra tanginess to your dish.

  • 4/5 Sarhad C. 2 years ago on Google
It was nice. I had 4-mix Kulcha from there, and it was a nice Kulcha, however nothing exceptional. It's just that this place is really really old, otherwise you can find similar kulchas almost anywhere in Amritsar. Be warned, the wait time is too long.
