Honestly not worth the hype. The place was below average in terms of ambience. The entire vibe is off. You enter and see this hideous showpiece round shelf. Upon entering and sitting at the tables you'll notice that the table covers are tattered and torn and dirty. This itself killed my appetite. The fish was okayish. Lassi was good and naan kulcha was again okayish. All in all wouldn't recommend. The fish portion was ridiculous.

It was our first visit to this place, the experience was very bad. As against the reviews by people the service and the food quality was below average. I would not like to recommend this place because of various reasons; 1. The waiter who served us was insensitive, rude and disrespectful. 2. The food quality of their much acclaimed fish was also mediocre. 3. The waiters are just interested in serving beer which was served flat- no R he avoided looking at us. The overall experience was very bad, we would hate to visit.

We had dinner here while we visited Amritsar, based on the reviews and recommendations. The place was too crowded and there was a waiting for the seats, however it didn't take much time. Had the fried fish recommended by the helping staff and a regular chicken item. Frankly I couldn't understand the hype about the fish fry. I didn't seem kind of special or too different from others. Prices are quite high. One can have alcoholic drinks with the food in the family seating area also.

I have visited Amritsar twice but this is the first time I came here to have dinner. Food quality and portion size is good, however price is at the higher end. Ambience is also good but what I didn't like is staff and service. Staff members are not friendly and are arrogant. None of them carry smile while dealing with many guests they host. I think they should improve this aspect.

Being Delhite , heard lot about this place in Amritsar. We specifically went to this restaurant for the fish and honestly nothing really outstanding. Fish was cooked well but it seems something that can be cooked at home. Serve size was small for its price. The place was clean. This place would be enjoyable for alcohol drinkers as their drinks menu is extensive.

Best fish in Amritsar undoubtedly. That is the reason the menu expanded from a handful of fish and chicken items to a full blown restaurant menu. Also, the place expanded from a speakeasy tavern to a fully modern and stocked bar with a decent top shelf collection. I took away one star because I definitely loved the old atmosphere more.

Worse customer management. If I have negative will give. I complete my dinner from start to end I ask 10 times about tissue papers but not given. After first time food serve no baby came for reorder when we give order they take 30 minutes to serve. Simple worse customer service will never come back to this restaurant also not recommended specially families and couples.

Makhan Fish is suggested by our hotel staff they told us about the place so we decided to have dinner at this place. I visited this place with my friend when I reach their first we tried fried fish at take away. The person who takes our order is a very good guy and give us very good service we enjoyed the food then we decided to sit and enjoy the vibes of the place. There is booking for around 30-35 minutes because we were there on peak hour time. But the reason I gave 3 star is the atmosphere of the place. The place is divided in 2 part One is for the family which is very new and with very positive vibes. But we didn't get seat their so they shifted us to the next place. The place is horrible no proper cleaning, tables are dirty floors are not clean. We decided to leave so we Dont have any options then we stayed and tried Fish fry Tangdi keema Keema chicken boneless Butter naan And lacha P.S. Never order butter naan they were like rubber. But other all items were great. They accept only cash. online payment mode is unavailable. Alcohol is served at good price. This message is for the owner please try to make it cleaner and with positive vibes, we come to your place especially from Delhi just to eat the famous fish. But cleaning is most important.

Such an amazing experience. One of the best fish fry i ever tasted. Murg Tandoori was tender, delicious and juicy. Ambience is wonderful. Right on main road. Parking issue might be there since it is a busy road. I found service to be bit slow but that might be due to packed house. Rest everything is perfect.

One of the best Fish joint in Amritsar. It’s an unbelievable place. Crowd thronging till late night. The food was outstanding. Singara fish fry is delicious. We went 2 days in a row to the place. I usually avoid chicken but the tandoori chicken was delectable. I think the key is small sized chicken unlike bombay and all where they serve huge chickens which are tasteless. The mutton boti was also excellent. Loved it with tandoori roti. Not to be missed place for sure

Mouth watering fish fry! This place was recommended by my friends. When you reach the place, it has a bar and a separate restaurant, so you can choose where you want to sit. I ordered their famous Fish Fry Sangara. It was good! The fish was fresh and its their most sold item, so you can be assured about its quality. Its very different from the fish fry you get in southern part of India, you can clearly see a coating of spices on this fish fry.

The place was clean and looked hygienic. Food was tasty. Good quantity. Service was quick. I took out 1 star because Naan’s were chewy. Laccha paratha was very good, must try here. Chicken was cooked perfectly and was juicy.

So, I went there on my Amritsar trip. Tried there signature Fish Starter. It was really tasty. Low on spices but full on taste. What I did not like was the fact that the menu I was given had Lassi for 65 Rs but in the bill I was charged 100 Rs. I was told that the price has been updated in some menus, but not the particular Menu I was given. As I did want to get into an argument as I was with my family, I paid them what was in the bill. Other than that the big problem I see in all Amritsar Restaurants is that they do not accept Card and UPI payment and only accept cash.Showing very well, that they are doing Tax fraud.

Awesome ambience with decent crowd. At first I was sceptical if we could go with family as the place serves alcohol also. But turns out they have a separate bar and restaurant. It's mentioned everywhere that the place is cash only but they accept cards also. They place is cash only during peak hours as there is a huge rush and so charging cards is avoided. You can order drinks in the restaurant as well. All the fear vanished as soon as I stepped in. The staff are very polite and courteous. The place serves jhatka chicken and mutton and they made it very clear when questioned about it. The food we ordered was prepared fresh and the quality was way above what is served in other restaurants. Butter Naan was crispy and tandoori fish was delightful. My six year old daughter enjoyed it. Hyderabad mutton biryani was delicious. My son loves biryani and he was unstoppable. The only drawback was that they don't serve raita or salan with biryani to balance the taste. But the staff immediately brought a bowl of raita when we pointed this out. The owner was very polite and he addressed the questions very calmly. Overall full 5 stars to the restaurant 5 stars for the food quantity 5 stars for the taste 5 stars for the ambience 5 stars to the service Highly recommended to everyone.

I went there on recommendation...But it was worst food experience I have till date...Fish was not at all worthy at all...Soup was full of salt.. I challenge if anyone can have it.... Keema Mutton was not having salt at all....Butter chicken was so sweet, we did not need dessert...only one item was good Coca Cola... The response was too timid ...infact the ignorance was baffling.... Everything was watery and not cooked properly...Welcome to your worst experience of you want to still try...

Top notch dinein place. We had a group of 12 people and manager was able to smartly arrange seats for us in peak dinner time. Food is amazing. Chicken achari tikka is worth to mention. Loaded quantities. Kudos to their staff for responding the needs quickly.

Great food ! Must try the fish dishes and relish their flavour. I love the way they are made, they are boneless too. We also tried their mutton gravy which was good too. However one disappointing part of this experience is that the restaurant only accepts cash. The food is pricy here and you would expect a heavty bill. Not everyone roams with enough cash to pay these heavty bills. Nowadays even street vendors and traffic vendors accept UPI payments, it's time to get modern !

A must visit place to try delicious non-veg food esp fish. Prompt service, reasonable rates. Separate space and entrance for restaurant and bar. The bar has a charm of its own, very lively without being contested. Plus point-it allows outside alcohol as well.

No doubt , food was really good but the customer service was horrible . We ordered all items chicken , mutton and fish , first time the order was good but second time when we ordered this items they were half cooked , when I asked the waiter to replace the mutton item because it was half cooked , he bought the same used plate to make after reheating this used plate. Not a value of money when you don’t know how to treat your customers just because you have a name since years.

Overall a very good place to eat. Their speciality is Fish fry & tandoori. This place started off with only these 2 items decades along and look what a long way they have come. They also have a banquet hall & provide accomodation. I'm rating them basis their food only. However, their ambience is good & location is easy to locate, just on the main road. We went here twice during our stay in Amritsar, once in the day and once in night. I also liked their chicken rara and dal makhani. The only flaw I saw is that this place doesnot accept any sort of digital payment, its a cash only so make sure to carry cash whem you head here. I visited the place as I have heard about this. But the fish was really pathetic. As I also own restaurants and I know how old is the fish is like. Also the butter chicken was also not so good. Draught beer tasted so much bitter than usaul.like the keg was the expired one. Not so good experience.

One of the famous restaurant for having the fried singara fish. We tried the fried singara, tandoori singara, butter chicken. The fish was good, not great tbh. The butter chicken was good not too sweet. And half plate butter chicken was enough for 4 people.

As the name here suggests one of the founders of the legendary Amritsari fish do visit if you're in town. They've expanded and also have a bar alongside the restaurant.

Honestly i was expecting fabulous fish fry but it wasn't the case. It was very average. It wasn't crispy and didn't taste that amazing. Apart from this tried butter chicken which was also pretty basic.
