The very famous Kanha Sweet of Amritsar. You need to be early to reach here as this place has a long queue and waiting times. Mostly crowded. Weekend is even more crowded. After all the wait the food served is amazing. Great quality of chole and aloo. Mango lassi was awesome as well. There is a lot of sitting area, but still there are waiting lines as it’s packed most if the times. Parking is available on the road. Recommended 👍

Good food. Mango lassi was good tasted liked liquified Amrakhand. Plain lassi is better than mango lassi. Sweets in the shop looked yummy but we did not try any. Poori and Chana was good. Chana is on spicier side. Aloo sabzi is tangy. Good combination of spices overall. Do try when in the city. We were traveling and decided to eat here for breakfast. Reviews speak for the food here. Overall the restaurants in Amritsar are low on hygiene and this is no exception I cut out 1 star for it. Tables and chair were unclean.

This place deserves totally a 5/5 but for the location of restaurant, not on the main road but a little inside the street. Food quality vs. the pricing is great. One plate of two poories + chana + two types of potatoes curry + aachaar only for a cost of Rs. 120 with that you get unlimited supply of chana & potatoes curry. Even Lassi is coated with malai on top. Even if you are in Amritsar for a day, this place is not worth missing at all.

Tried their gud halwa. Asked them what that is. He said halwa and then i asked what halwa. They were quite clueless and then finally i found out its gud halwa. Took a plate for 30₹ and it was very okayish. Too much food color and no taste of gud in it. Just plain sweet sooji halwa it was. Not recommended.

One of the best mithai shops on Lawrence Road, right across from the DAV college for Women. Wide selection of standard north Indian sweets such as Motichoor Laddus, Burfis, etc. Everything is made in pure desi ghee and the taste speaks for itself. There's a small food hall for dine-in but I've never been there, preferring to take out instead.

The perfect breakfast experience. The aloo poori with the spicy chole and the tangy launji is as close to perfection as possible. Also tried the gur ka halwa in the end which is heavenly and alone a reason to come back to this legendary place.

Amritsars’s favourite breakfast place. Poori platter is the go for everyone here. There serve you a plate with salad Chole and Aloo sabzi with is sweet in taste. And then the serve you poori hot and fresh as they come. Do try halwa and gulab jamun after the poori breakfast. Sweets are to dir for 😍

The evergreen Kanha famous for its chole Puri deserves all the accolades it gets. Fabulous is the word. The lassi was thick topped with a layer of Malai. Enjoyed our meal. Must visit

Had breakfast here puri plate.. Poori chole and aloo (sweet sabzi). Really tastes yummy.. But service is a bit slow. Pooris are fresh but comes out slowly. But definitely worth a try.

One of the best breakfast options in Amritsar. They serve Chole Puri Plate in breakfast which comes with 2 puris, chickpeas, aloo launji and onion salad. The taste of chickpeas is very good and it also has mild spices. Aloo launji is sweet in taste, so many people will not like it. The size of puri is very big, so one plate is enough for one person. I also tasted their lassi and Gudd ka Halwa. The glass of lassi is medium and very refreshing. Overall a great place to have an authentic breakfast in Amritsar. Chole- 5/5 Aloo Launji - 2/5 Puri - 4/5 Lassi - 4/5 Value for Money- 4/5 Service - 4/5 Ambience- 4/5

It’s one of the famous joint to have Puri , sabzi and chole. Do try their lassi and gud ka halwa( Jaggery halwa) , best puri and halwa ever. There is waiting during the weekend, service is fast .

Gudd ka halwa, tasty kaju kattli, buttery lassi, Rosogolla, Poori chole and what not. Ambience is always crowded especially in weekends. They are famous for their tangy aloo baaji which i didn't like much as i am South Indian. It might be tasty. no idea. Other than that, Poori chole will be given with onion - 5/5. (Poori will be served hot as it will be served one after one. One server guy will bring fresh pooris and serve you as and when you finish one) totally 3 pooris per plate. Poori will be fried in ghee and it just tastes yummm.. Moti choor laddu - 4/5 Rosogolla- 3/5 Lassi - 5/5 Lassi glass will have floating butter. Kaju kattli -4.5/5 Gudd halwa -4/5 Most of them liked it. may be my south India mind didn't like much. Also, they have very wide varieties of snacks like Kachori, mixture, and lots of sweets. Go with big gang and buy each item so that you can taste all.

Nice place to have tasty Puri along with chole.. You can enjoy their Guud ka halwa too. BUT - Disappointed , coz such a legendary outlet are using thermocol plates just for the sake of cost cutting , that too for a hot dish.

Poori Chhole was delicious and Lassi was awesome, didn't like their Snacks from sweet shop as typical raw ghee smell was coming from them

One of the best puri Chole I have eaten. Fried in pure desi ghee, the puris are very tasty. It is served with chole and another Subzi that was khatta meetha. The mango lassi also was delicious.

If you are visiting Amritsar and your schedule includes breakfast, skip the hotel breakfast and visit this amazing place for some bhatura sized poori, aloo chole ki sabzi and aloo ki tari meethi wali. You would also love the gajar given as salad here. Must go places.

We ate here last week when visiting Amritsar. It is a little bit out of the old town, but worth it! We loved the poori - it was delicious (and not spicy). The staff were very friendly. The restaurant is just at the back and to the left of the sweet shop, but the staff in the sweet shop will point you in the right direction!

Been there Saturday early morning (27-01-24) Trusted shop, brought for international travel, Unsatisfied customer service. Wasn't able to except card payment. Asked for mixed sweets, over half the box contained same variety of sweet, declined to wrap box correctly, will not return

You should visit this place definitely as a tourist. It's gives authentic breakfast sweet potato sabzi and authentic chole with Puri. Achar is different and good.

Must try outlet when you are in Amritsar, waiting time on weekends but worth the wait. The poori is fried in pure ghee which is really soft aloo sabzi is kinda sweet and the Chole is spicy perfectly combined for the taste buds gulp it down with the malai lassi Reasonable price and courteous staff Don’t miss out if you’re in Amritsar

  • 5/5 Saloni J. 2 years ago on Google
Very tasty! The poori & Aloo sabzi is must try. They have a little different version of aloo sabzi. The pooris are deep fried in ghee, and is one of it's kind. Chole are tasty. The sitting is small & old but the taste is why you should visit this place. If you are going in winters, try gud halwa for sure.

Craving for Chole puri, bathure, with some mild chillies and achaar. This is where should land yourself. And yes parking 🅿️ is a mess.

  • 5/5 Avdhey T. 4 months ago on Google
Incredibly tasty food. Everything made in Desi ghee. I would recommend that satpura and the pinni both of which were very tasty. It's on Lawrence road so it's very Central and easy to get to. Definitely a place to be on your itinerary when in Amritsar.

I went there on my Amritsar trip after hearing some great reviews from people and it didn't disappoint. The puri’s are made in pure desi ghee and is delicious. It is served with spicy chole and the tangy launji. The attending person is very calm and polite and the service is also appreciable. Don't miss out on the Lassi post your breakfast. The prices are very reasonable, making it an excellent value for money. Overall, Kanha Sweets is a great place to indulge in traditional Punjabi cuisine, and highly recommended for anyone visiting Amritsar.

Their Puri Chole and Lassi at breakfast is mind-blowing!! Also, Gud Ki Halwa...ymmmm..

  • 5/5 Vipul S. 9 months ago on Google
The scrumptiously famous breakfast is served with whole hearted staff of the place. The food - poori chana / chole bhature is a must to try. Sweet aloo sabzi made of sugar & imli can enhance or spoil the taste but poori chana / chole bhature steals the show.

  • 4/5 Shubham J. 8 months ago on Google
A great place to have breakfast and lunch. Amritsari Puri is a must try which is served with Chhole and tangy Alu sabzi. Available till 3 PM only. Mango Lassi is also good. Also tried their Gur ka Halwa and Mawa Malpua which were both good.

If you are in Amritsar, you must come here for breakfast. It’s one of the famous breakfast points and food here is fabulous. Poori Chole comes with tangy, sweet aloo ki sabji. The Halwa is made of ghee and Gud (jaggery) The lassi is very good too. This is not a restaurant so don’t bother about the ambience. You have to take a coupon from a guy standing near to the sitting area, the waiting time here is around 10 mins. Also, the payment has to be done inside sitting area.

Recommending 5 stars for the food they serve. Eat Puri with chickpeas deep-fired on pure Desi ghee. The food was so filling and finger licking. Recommended place for having Sunday Puri Chana.

  • 5/5 Kushal G. 2 years ago on Google
Highly recommended for breakfast. Chole puri comes with aloo ki launji which was very tasty. Puri was also very good. Gurh ka halwa was nice as well. You can take some pinni home which is just drenched in ghee. The place is under construction and seating area is small. Verdict: Breakfast here!!

This sweet shop is extremely famous among both the locals and tourists owing to its delicious and hot served puri thali. It can easily be reached through Google maps. The thali is priced in terms of the number of puris taken over and above the base thali. But you cannot opt for a single one. The least that one can take is 2 puris that come along with sweet potato sabzi and chole. The puris are all puffed up and fried in ghee only. The taste is exceptionally good. Among the other recommendations is their gud halwa which tastes even better on winter mornings. They have other freshly prepared sweets too. Highly recommended place.

Amazing Chole Puri, Gur Halwa, Samosa & Rasmalai. Must try !!! The chole puri is served only till 02:30 in the afternoon. They also offer a variety of sweets, unfortunately we didn’t try anything.

Had the famous Poori Aloo Halwa here. The 2 humongous size pooris were enough for me. The Chana and aloo halwa (which I had for the first time) was amazing. It is a must visit for anyone who is going for a trip to Amritsar.

  • 5/5 Akshay J. 1 year ago on Google
This place doesn't need a review. It's a brand of its own by now. The taste of puri chana hasn't changed a bit since years. The alu sabji is their prime attraction. Puri is crisp, fluffy n super filling. Lassi is decent. Very quick service. If u go at peak time u shall definitely find a long queue, especially Sundays. So prefer going before 10am on Sundays.
