(Translated by Google) It is beautiful and safe you can go with family or friends, I found it quite safe. A quiet and pleasant tour. You can appreciate nature and see the waterfalls. It is very economical just pay $ 50 for the entrance. But it is not allowed to bathe in the river. It will not take more than two hours for the tour unless you decide to spend a long time in the viewpoint, and you can also take some very cool and different photos. Anyone can do it because it does not require a great physical effort (Original) Es hermoso y seguro se puede ir con familia o amigos, me pareció bastante seguro.

Beautiful place! Parking is 50 pesos and entry is another 50 pesos/person. It's a short walk to the waterfall. You are unfortunately not allowed to swim at the waterfall but you can swim in the small river downstream of the waterfall which was a great experience! Go here if you are in Jarabacoa!

The hike to get there is incredibly difficult and coming back, but when you get to the waterfall, the beauty of that fall will make you forget the struggle you went through to get there. The day I went was rainy, so the waterfall was all by myself and full of water. I saw the waterfall at its full potential. I want to cry. How beautiful is that waterfall? By the way, there are two Salto Jimenoa numbers 1 and 2. Salto number 2 is easier to access, but it was closed when I was in Jarabacoa. The Salto I went was numbered 1.

We took a hike via the forest with a bunch of 14 year-olds to a higher waterfall in the same area that took us about 30 minutes. The raw nature and the views were just stunning!

If you feel like going for a short walk while you're in Jarabacoa getting to know places, this is a nice waterfall to go check out. It's very accessible and easy to get to. I really recommend it.

An awesome hike to Salta Jimenoa 1 waterfall. The trail leads to the beach of the falls where you will find a small Sandy Beach. The water is clean and clear. A little cool since it is coming from a deep mountain spring. The trail is somewhat steep and a little slippery. There are benches placed strategically at intervals to allow for a rest, particularly on the way up. It takes about half an hour to descend and a little more to come back up. There is not too much traffic and it's a good shot for a picnic. While there you can check with Tony and do some paragliding. 😀

Beautiful place , with amazing views. The drive was long to get there, and had to stop several times to ask locals... Don't ask no one on a motorcycle if you are going on your own. They'll want to "guide" you and ask you for money. There's a small cover charge to access the park, and you have to cross a few small suspension bridges to get to the waterfall.

Path to waterfalls is currently closed due to a bridge collapse. There are still lovely trails along the water in the opposite direction you can access for free.

100 pesos entrance. Very relaxing, once you get to the waterfall itself. You need nerves to cross a few suspended bridges, but the effort is worth it. You can spend the day here. Best to bring your own food and drink.

Super nice waterfall, if u have problems walking is not good for u to go as u have to cross some bridges and go up to some stairs, you can swing in some.of the areas but not allow to bring any plastic or food, be aware that the bridge only alow 5 people at the time.

Beautiful place!!! Breath taking!!! To get to the fall you must do a little walk, cross 4 bridges, climb stairs, but it's totally worth it. Have a beautiful landscape, you also are able to see the hydro-energetic system that produces energy for Jarabacoa and when you reach the top there's a deck where you can see the Jimeoa Falls 1. Bring comfortable shoes, bring your swimsuits they have little nice beaches, where you can enjoy a swim when the river is not that profound and the waves not too strong. The cost is 100 pesos per person, which is worth the penny, just to see how beautiful it is.

(Translated by Google) This is a very beautiful natural place, at the entrance is its hydroelectric dam of Jarabacoa a good place for a student trip after the knowledge comes a delight for the eyes. Crossing a wooden suspension bridge where you will see during the walk the rugged slopes full of vegetation where the pure and clean water comes out from the rocky slopes that descend to the river transparent with a light emerald dark green color when there is no torrential rain and the water becomes cloudy. Arriving at the end of the journey you will see the waterfall called "El Salto de Jimenoa" a beautiful natural attraction that the first visit will leave you wanting to return.

Beautiful place... bridge to cross is scary and water is cold, but is beautiful

  • 5/5 Kazimir S. 3 years ago on Google
(Translated by Google) Very beautiful but very cold! From the nearest town of Jarabacoa to the waterfall, it takes a long time to drive along the serpentine. The landscapes are very beautiful, but there are almost no roads, so I recommend to go by jeep or four-wheel drive car. The view is amazing but the water is very, very cold and it is almost impossible to swim even in the heat) The place is good because there are no tourists and the pristine nature is felt.

Beautiful natual fall located in Jarabacoa. Perfect get away where you can also have a dive into Rio Yaque del Norte which is the longest river in Dominican Republic.

  • 4/5 Orman A. 1 year ago on Google
I'm sure this place is amazing. Only giving 4 stars because it was close due to bridge work when we were there. We went on a nice hike down river though and enjoyed the area. I'm not sure where to check whether the trail is open before arriving but I recommend confirming if this is very far out of the way for you.

After paying the 100 peso entrance fee, they give you a water bottle. Then it's a 20 minute hike straight down a mountain to the beautiful waterfall. Hiking back out is really difficult, but worth the effort.
